The grey she-cat was lying in the sun. She was in the late stages of pregnancy and the tom that had fathered the kits never came anymore. She was thinking of leaving the house folk after her kits were born, but she certainly couldn't do that at this moment. She sighed.

Strike slid between the two-legged creature's nests. He heard the distant barking of a dog and screeches and roars of the Thunderpath. Nothing to worry about, at least, not here.

Strike jumped over a fence, expecting to hit grass, but instead almost landed on a female kittypet heavy with kittens.

"Ouch!" Jill spat as she scrambled to her paws "Who are you?" she asked trying to sound threatening, but it was little more than a whimper.

Strike hissed. He didn't know if this cat would give him trouble or not. "Wouldn't you like to know?" he spat back. The she-cat might give him some trouble, but that little whimper wasn't helping her out much. Strike unsheathed his claws. @Peril

The she-cat saw his claws and flattened against the ground. "Please don't hurt me, I'm with kits. If you can help me get out of here, I'll be in your debt forever!" she whimpered softly, she looked up and saw he was glaring down at her.

Strike was glad the kittypet didn't cause him trouble. But then the she-cat said something about getting out of there. He would happily help a kittypet run away from their owners who pamper and fatten them! No cat should live in a prison of a Two-leg den. He padded to the fence and pawed at the ground, digging under it. He didn't think the other cat could manage a jump over the fence, considering the position she was in. Eventually, he dug a hole he hoped was large enough for her to squeeze through. "Follow me," he meowed gruffly, sliding under the fence with ease. @Peril

After struggling to get under the fence, she finally pushed through. "Where to now?" she mewed.

Strike, after seeing that the kittypet had indeed fit under the fence (barely), started walking with a flick of his tail in the direction they were going. They needed to get out of Twolegplace, because outside of the gardens was dangerous. Bright, shiny creatures with glowing eyes, loose dogs, and other cats were just some of the dangers. A she-cat so close to kitting would never make it out here on their own. @Peril

As they were nearing the edge of the Twolegplace, Jill saw an alley that seemed deserted. "Could we stay here?" she asked, flicking the tail towards the alley.
