Foxpaw was almost done with this nonsense. He'd finish this training, and then he'd finally become a warrior. Once he finished his assessment, that is (but he'd worry about that later, he supposed). Would his life actually get easier after all that? Probably... not, honestly. He'd be finished with training, but he was sure there'd be even more inane things he'd have to do after that. Fun.

But he wanted to enjoy this small victory, okay? Plus, this was hunting training, and he basically already knew what to do from that patrol from a while ago; it shouldn't be too hard to get his abilties to a passable level. All he had to do was get through this.

"Flytail," Foxpaw began simply. Before, he'd only come to this warrior because his previous mentor wasn't doing her job, so he'd kind of just grabbed a few Enforcers to make due in the moment. Now, though, Flytail was his mentor--at least, for the little time Foxpaw had left as an apprentice. Not that he cared much before, but now it seemed just a bit easier to pester the older cat for more training.

"I need hunting training."

Foxpaw couldn't quite put a paw on it, but Flytail seemed a bit friendlier this time around. He wasn't exactly mean before; frankly, Foxpaw would prefer that demeanor over over-the-top cheerfulness. That being said, it did help a bit in shaking off the unfounded feeling that he'd get his ear snapped off if he made a mistake, which was nice. Basically, he'd be fine as long as Flytail didn't get too sappy on him.

At the warrior's words, Foxpaw made a noise that could have meant anything. He wasn't sure what made Flytail think he had "great instincts", but he guessed he'd take it. If he was right, then Foxpaw would get through this fairly quickly, so he'd just have to hope that was true. He silently flexed his claws on the marshy ground before following Flytail out of camp.
