the young warrior padded to the warrior's den, he had recently just went out to relieve Himself, he sniffed the air before speaking out "Pineblossom?" he called out as he lifted his paw and placed it down a few times "we have to go on a morning border patrol" he murmured as he waited for a reply.

Pineblossom's eyes opened groggily to a voice calling her from outside the den. Morning border patrol. Ugh. The large queen rose to her paws and padded out of the warriors den, shaking her fluffy pelt out. Scraps of moss fell out and she began to groom herself thoroughly before she stood to meet the rest of the patrol. Her eyes locked with Darkwater's, the tom who had awoken her. She nodded to him curtly.

The queen's emerald gaze stared ahead as they trekked through the territory. "Which border are we going to first?," the queen asked, turning to Darkwater as he was the closest beside her.

"ah, we're heading for thunderglade" he blinked, finding the color pretty, he shook his head and began to pad beside the large queen. his mind realized that thunderglade was by the windclan border and he sighed, sometimes he felt like they wanted him to be near his half birth clan- it sucked. "so uh..morning" he tried to start a conversation, he sounded awkward as he tried to keep his pace the same as pineblossoms. his aqua eyes looking ahead.

Pineblossom nodded as they headed in the direction towards the Thunderglade. The large queen almost didn't hear Darkwater as she focused, but she snapped out of her weird haze just as the tom said "morning". "Morning," the queen mewed. "I should've eaten before we left," she grumbled, her stomach rolling. Oh well. It was new-leaf, prey was plenty. She would eat when they returned.

his ears angled back to listen, catching a mouse scurrying around, though he wanted to chase it, he responded to pineblossom "I mean...we can catch something for you, we're on a border patrol, not a hunting one so...ya know..." he blinked slowly, would that...be against the warrior code? there was plenty of prey back at camp...

Pineblossom's gaze lightened at the idea, the scrabbling sounds of mice in the bushes peaking her interest. "I suppose we could," the queen mewed. She raked her gaze across the clearing, landing on a large mouse a few fox lengths away.

Pineblossom crouched away, her pawsteps silent on the forest floor. Her emerald gaze was locked on the mouse, and as she walked closer, the little rodent was none the wiser. The queen's pelt helped her blend into the brush rather well. Once she was close enough, she lunged, snapping the little things neck quickly.

The queen sat momentarily, throwing a prayer to StarClan to thank them for the food, before sinking her large fangs into the mouse. She took a bite, her hunger ebbing slightly as she finished the mouse in 3. She licked her lips, before standing back up and walking back to Darkwater to continue the patrol.

amazing, just amazing, he wished he could show off and hunt for the queen. he kept walking when pineblossom was finished "was it good?" he asked, trying to sound a bit teasing at how fast the she-cat ate but he really...couldn't...make it sound that way, instead he was a bit awkward when he said it...not a good impression.
