Bumblestar didn't want to go to this Gathering. Nine times out of ten, they sucked and then she had something else to deal with that could have just as easily been resolved on its own and then everything just ended in a foul mood and it was gross. Tonight, with what she had planned, it might end up going exactly that way. But not attending meant displaying weakness, and it also meant losing this opportunity.

She split off from her Clan, eyeing the scattered clouds overhead, to take up her spot on the Seastones.

Moonlight lit the bright pink scars that line the giant tabby's pelt as she slipped from the shadows into the gathering. Her appearance marked the arrival of ShadowClan. Her powerful shoulders rippled as she moved across the sand to take her place on the rocks alongside Bumblebrat. The she-cat glanced at the smaller leader and then turned her attention to the front as she waited for the rest of the clans to join them. Call it a hunch, but Dawnstar sensed she'd be going home more agitated than she arrived. Her clan's laziness left her in a nasty mood, she'd rather be at home dealing with them than at the gathering. But she wasn't one to miss any news shared even if it was redundant.

Lostspark

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. But Lostspark's heart was not growing. It was shrinking. Lostspark's was only closing in on itself. Folding and folding and folding until it was no more than just something that constantly beat at a steady pace, kept her alive.

They say the heart has a brain of its own. Then why was Lostspark's so intent on making her feel every inch inside her chest that felt like a gaping hole, a wound torn open, one that even she, with all her herbal knowledge, could not heal. Some medicine cat she was.

They say; an optimist laughs to forget, and a pessimist forgets to laugh. Lostspark was neither, which was why she believed only realists thought this way. But at the very least, she was not broken. She had faced lows before, and this... this was nothing in comparison to those.

So in the end, it was simple enough for Lostspark to trail after her mother, following in her large footsteps, a predator on the prowl. She had gotten all the way here, on her own. Rejection, served up by her own kits, her blood, was not going to pull her down. Like hell it would. She would not let it. Gait a slow, lazy stroll, Lostspark made her way up to the Medicine Cat's spot and settled down with nary a sound. She was the first one here, again, despite the fact that ThunderClan had arrived already.

Either it was just her, or every adjacent gathering to occur was always chaotic. Steadily, the herbalist swerved her way through the soft sand beneath her paws, her fur growing moist against the dampened leaves that brushed against her coat. Moonlight lit the pastel colors that decorated her coat, lightly brushing along the light scarring apparent along her flanks as she exposed herself to the naturalized gathering place. Something about this gathering didn’t sit right with the calico. Springlight wasn’t certain of what it was, but she felt some sort as if some sort of tension was bound to unfold itself in any way or other from just the moment she stepped foot into the gathering place. It had only briefly turned into new-leaf, and yet, tensions were on the move just as they would on a flowing stream. There was an icy cold sensation washing over, and the molly felt certain that it was due to the early temperatures that drastically showed themselves for each early dew morning of springtime from upon its arrival. It felt ridiculous, really, for why she felt as if this gathering was going to go wrong as if it didn’t every other time it occurred. A short huff of breath expelled past her lips, the molly approaching the Seastones to take her place and unwillingly listen towards the angered bickering of future arguments.

Approaching the Seastones, the calico merely stared up toward the healer’s poach for only a short moment, casting a short glance towards the blue-gray tabby that presumably followed alongside her. The ThunderClan medic duo was the last to come to the gathering for ThunderClan's High Ranks, and fairly, Springlight felt cautious about allowing her mentor to go by herself given her current condition. Sure, Drizzlecloud had handled herself for years given that she was only half deaf, but she couldn’t find herself wanting to abandon her all matters for just going up to join Lostspark, who seemingly didn’t seem to be phased at all of wanting to participate in this soon-to-be chaotic gathering. Not that Springlight could reprimand the fellow herbalist’s thoughts, as she felt just as equal. Given the chaotic hectics that occurred last gathering, this one may either be just as bad or even for once, a quiet and peaceful gathering with no interruptions. “Do… you need… any spare… help… getting… up here… Drizzlecloud?” The medic questioned, glancing briefly towards her mentor as her blue eyes dazzled inquisitively with the moonlight, trying her hardest to see if the fellow medic would wish to pursue her assistance. Her lips moved slowly for her mentor to lip-read, being sure to voice her words carefully so her mentor could easily understand what she was trying to say. It was unfortunate that she bore little knowledge of sign language, as she would’ve used that preferred method over this, but she didn’t have much of a singularized choice, now, did she?
