Featherpaw - Open

The she-cat padded out of the den to be embraced by a gleaming stretch of sunlight. She grinned slightly before making her way towards the edge of the camp. Finding an adventure would be her main focus of today, although being the over confident apprentice she was, Featherpaw had decided to make the trip without her mentor.

The small she-cat looked around, hoping no one would see her slowly slipping out of the camp into the vast open territory. She had even hoped that maybe another apprentice would see her and offer their company.

Featherpaw jumped as the voice of another cat came from behind her. The small she-cat turned back to see another member of the clan questioning her current actions.

Featherpaw quickly sat down infront of the warrior, looking up to him she smirked,"Yes, that's my name." She was surprised to hear the warrior question where she was heading. Featherpaw was almost certain that she had not been seen by anyone. However, she shrugged it off and decided to tell the truth,"Yes, maybe work on my hunting skills too!" Standing quickly to her feet she glanced over to the opening that led to the forest,"Would you like to accompany me?"

Featherpaw's eyes lit up as the warrior agreed to accompany her on an adventure. Her ear flicked forward Fishspeckle began to speak once again. As he talked, the two made their way into the forest. Featherpaw was super excited to get away from camp and have fun.

The she-cat turned her head back to Fishspeckle as he finished talking. Featherpaw snickered as he referred to himself as not fun. She smiled at him lightly,"Everyone deserves a little bit of relaxation Fishspeckle!" Quickly, she focused back in on the forest infront of her, as it seemed to stretch on forever. Breathing in the air she finished,"You are fine, I enjoy listening to older cats, each of you seem to have such cool stories," pausing to try and bump Fishspeckle in the side,"I can't wait to be a warrior like you!"

Featherpaw smiled as she looked up to Fishspeckle, the she-cat could see his excitement that she appreciated him. Featherpaw giggled as he bumped her lightly back. Although she wanted to adventure alone, she was enjoying the new company of the tom.

“My mentor Asterthorn says the same thing, but he’s also super young - and shy,” she nodded to the tom. It was true, her mentor Asterthorn was quite the quiet tom, but she had been working on opening him up. Featherpaw looked around the forest and was delighted to hear rustling in the bushes. She chuckled quickly responding back to Fishspeckle,”Pretty soon actually, I’m almost nine moons, it’s just a matter of when they think I am ready really.”
