Whitepaw nodded, following Cloverwish with a down-cast look. He secretly wished he would still be training with Nettlespark, his old mentor, but he knew there was no turning back now. He looked up through the pines, watching as the needles gently flowed in the wind, a few falling down to the ground, reinforcing the already-covered ground. He caught many scents of pine drifting around him as needles crunched under his and his mentor's paws. The forest was a bit quiet, but it was clearly starting to wake after the harsh leaf-bare that he left it, little plants dotting the ground as they passed. He even saw a little flower that had already sprouted, signaling that new-leaf was on it's way to rejuvenate the forest.

@Splashy

Cloverwish stopped by a a moss covered stump, filled with sounds of squeaking. "Could you catch one of these mice?"

Whitepaw felt quickly freezing into a stop when his mentor stopped. He looked over to the stump, looking at his mentor. ""I'll give it a try" He meowed and padded forward a pace before hitting into a crouch. It was a bit uneven and his tail was a bit too high, not giving the optimal balance to hunt, but he believed he was doing it right. He padded forward slowly, not knowing that the mice likely still heard him. When he caught sight of a little brown body scuttling out of the stump, the tom launched at the creature. He unhinged his jaws in mid-air as he tried to grab the creature, but it was too fast, starting to run back towards the safety of the stump. He spun and slapped his paw down loudly, catching it by the tail in a weird bit of luck. He grabbed the mouse by the neck and gave it a nip, ending up having to do two when the creature didn't stop moving. He picked the little creature up, looking over at his mentor.

@Splashy

Cloverwish scowled, grabbing the mouse from the puny apprentice. "Of all the mice, you caught the scrawniest one? This'll barely feed an elder!" Why did Icestar assign this idiot to me?

Whitepaw, frustrated, just went to go try again, deciding to ignore his mentor's angry words. He'd show her! He got in a crouch, deciding to try harder in staying balanced this time. He put his tail lower to the ground, now noticing that if his tail was up, his prey could see it and would run away. He stepped lightly, like last time, but he took more time in his coordination. Once he felt close enough, he searched for an opening in the stump where a mouse could come out. He saw multiple small, scrawny mice come out, and he knew it would exciting to catch something, but a bigger, fatter mouse made sense to him now, being slower as well as giving his clan something better to eat. He waited a bit longer in silence, resisting the urge to move his tail. Then, he spotted it. A plump mouse, exiting the stump to gather some seeds for their group. He glared at it a bit before he leaped, hoping he had judged the distance right. He noticed he was a bit short and landed just in front of the mouse, slamming his paws down on the ground. Instead of worrying about it, he quickly bit down. He made sure to be harder this time. When he looked down, he noticed it had stopped moving. He smiled to himself before picking up the plumper mouse, padding back to his mentor, having trouble keeping a smug look off his face. He dropped it at her paws. He said nothing, waiting for her reaction.

Swiftshine sat beneath one of the many pines in the territory, she stared at the ground, awaiting the arrival of her apprentice Ivypaw, she stared into the horizon of the sinking star known as the sun. She wondered if she would ever meet an ancestor from StarClan or not. Would she? Most likely not, a sigh escaped her throat as dark thoughts crowded her mind, she was confused, was she meant to be attracted to she-cats or toms? Would she ever get a mate and have kits? Was she meant to live in ShadowClan? Is she broken? Was she supposed to be born? Or was her birth and accident? @Breezefur

Ivypaw swerved around the trees in the darkness of blindness,following her mentor's scent trail. When the trail stopped,and she bumped into something,she suddenly realized that the thing that she had bumped into,was her mentor.

@Wolfie

A slight jump escaped her body, she shrieked and quickly ran off, turning she noticed her apprentice. Embarrass by what she had done she helped Ivypaw up and apologized.

Ivypaw screeched and jumped almost three feet into the air. "Swiftshine!" Ivypaw yelped. "Can we battle train?" the blind apprentice asked her mentor quietly.

"Um, sure!" Swiftshine accepted her question, turning to face her apprentice "Alright, give me what ya got!" She ordered unsheathing her claws.
