Goldenstar laughed. “Yes you are!” He agreed, his eyes lit up with pride. “You’re doing good,” he said, smiling the whole time. "Yes! Bring it!" the little shecat crouched, her tail waving in the air at her light-hearted challenge.

Goldenstar resisted the urge to laugh, before lunging at the She-cat for the last time. He landed a little awkwardly, which made his side hurt quite a bit, but he ignored it, as Now wasn’t really the time to complain about those kinds of things.

Nightpaw was knocked prone yet again. She made a quick metal note to possible ask Goldenstar how to keep from getting knocked over in the first place before launching into her defensive move. This time, rather than one hard kick with her back legs, she tried a series of quick pedaling kicks with her feet like if she was trotting. It probably wouldn't feel like much to Goldenstar while her claws were sheathed, but she imagined quick claw strikes to the belly would make most cats sorry they tried to pin her. The thought surprised Nightpaw but of course she didn't want to hurt another cat. She was just glad this move seemed like it would work is all.

Goldenstar waited, having pinned the apprentince down. He felt her paws on his stomach, and, at first, he was very confused. Before he realized that her claws were sheathed, so he wasn’t going to feel anything. However, if she had her claws unsheathed, he could only imagine the pain he would be in. Rolling off the apprentince, he turned to face her with his eyes lit up. “That was awesome!” He said excitedly, a giant smile on his face. He was proud of her, that was for sure. “Now, do you want to practice something else or call it a day?” He asked, shaking his fur to get a few pine needles out of it, looking at the apprentince proudly.

The shecat got up, pride welling within her to know that she was doing well. This was turning out a lot Breyer than she had thought, and fortunately she knew just what to tell Goldenstar. “Thanks! Is there something I can do to avoid getting knocked over? That way I’ll know what to do if I get pinned and how to try and stop it.” Nightpaw was enjoying focusing on defense. It was good to know, and came with the added bonus of only being needed if another cat was trying to hurt her. That made this easier somehow knowing that any cat she hurt with these moves would... have it coming?

Goldenstar was waiting to see what the She-cat said. It could be anything to be honest, however, he didn’t want to finish the training session yet. For that reason, he was slightly relieved when she said that she wanted to find some way to avoid getting knocked over. “There’s always dodging,” he said, “You lunge out of the way then counter with your own attack.” He added, trying to describe the ideas in his head the best way possible. He was glad that his apprentince was excited to learn, as he knew some mentors had the hardest time getting their apprentinces out of the camp in the first place.

Nightpaw was glad to see that her mentor was still up for training, and that he did indeed have an idea. “Dodging,” she repeated quietly. Then she bent the joints in her legs, preparing herself to leap one way or the other. “I’m ready!” She declared.

Goldenstar nodded. He barely heard the apprentince repeat what he had said, but he didn’t care. It was nice to have a small confirmation that she understood however. He nodded, before he lunged at the apprentince, trying not to hit her, for the fear that he might hurt her if he did.

Seeing Goldenstar leap, Nightpaw bunched her muscles and sprung, hoppin to the left and out of the way. Then deliver your own attack, he had said Jayne it was the fact that after three successes she was feeling confident or maybe even a little playful, but when her mentor jumped past her, Nightpaw turned around to aim a limp paw at Goldenstar’s side.

Goldenstar was proud that Nightpaw had lunged out of the way, and he spun around a moment later. However, halfway through going past the apprentince, he felt her paw go along his side, and he flinched. His wound. He had forgotten about that. The stinging pain took over his body for a minute, before it faded away, and he was looking at Nightpaw again. “Good job getting out of the way!” He said, smiling. “However, we’ll need to work on that attack” he added, trying to ignore the pain in his side, as dull as it was.

Enjoying her mentor's praise, Nightpaw let out a small purr. "Yeah. I didn't want to hit you too hard in case you were hurting," she admitted.

Goldenstar smiled. It was nice to know that the apprentince cared about whether he got hurt or not. Honestly, he wouldn’t have minded if Nightpaw had opened all of his wounds either, though that was kind of a stupid thing to think about right now. “Thank you,” He said, nodding. “Do you want to try again?” He asked, leaning on his non-injured side, since his other side was still aching.

By way of answer, Nightpaw couched and did several quick little hops back and forth, her tail waving behind her. "Don't hold back this time!" she said, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Goldenstar laughed. “Don’t think I will!” He said, before lunging again. This time, he was heading right torwards the apprentince. He was trying hard to soften the blow, but at the same time, he didn’t care. Sure, that sounded cold, but training was going to be training, waiting to see what the apprentince did.

Risingstorm narrowed her eyes at the tom. Something about his answer seemed off as if he wasn’t being honest. And then there had been that low hiss with a distinctive tone of sass. When she spoke, she spoke slowly, deliberately. “Well you’re in Shadowclan territory, like I said. So you need to leave. I can walk you to the border if you agree to leave peacefully.” Risingstorm stopped there, letting the unspoken alternative hang in the air between them.

{No harm done!}
Aspen gave a sharp flick of his tail. His eyes glaring at the she cat. "No, no, no." He mewed. This was no clans spot, and he was going to show it. He clawed some dirt up in his paw. Moving it into the others view. "See this? This is the earth, it belongs to no cat. Shadowclan owns nothing," He mewed, letting it spill from his paws. His ears flicked back and forth as he glared at her.

Nightapw dashed aside in time, but chose the wrong direction and got clipped as Goldenstar darted past, she staggered to regain her balance, and aimed a blow where she thought her mentor had been, but it was too late and too hard. The shecat's own blow knocked her off balance and she fell on her side. She kicked her legs frantically as she tried to get up in case her mentor came at her again. She had told him not to hold back after all.

Goldenstar saw the apprentince dodge, and was ready to whirl around, but he saw what she did, and frantically stopped the lunge he had been about to preform. He tried not to flinch as he watched her, as it wasn’t exactly the best move he had ever seen. “You okay?” He asked, prepared just in case the apprentince lunged at him. However he doubted that would happen. He would figure out if the apprentince was okay. Then he would go from there, his bi-colored eyes watching Nightpaw worriedly.

Nightpaw finally manged to get to her feet, debris and pine-needle pieces clinging to her pelt. She gave herself a brisk shake as she laughed a little. "Yeah. I uh, I guess I missed. Sorry about that." The shecat was in good spirits in spit of her spill. Aside from that last blunder, she'd been happy with how training was going.

"Any prey you find over there is fair game as fair as I'm concerned, but any prey you catch on this side of that scent marker mean a Shadowclan cat goes hungry. Now I'll ask you nicel once more: Are you going to leave on your own, or am I going to have to make you leave?" Now, her claws were out, and her fur was bristling in a clear threat. Times were hard for Sahdowclan and Starclan asked that they chase invaders out of their territory. She was willing to be kind to the occasional loner who stumbled onto their land by accident, but this was a matter of feeding her clanmates, and if this tom needed a clawmark or two to remind him not to come back here, so be it.

Aspen backed up slightly, sitting up more. His eyes glaring, his tail lashed back and forth. "Listen, this isn't a world with powerful cats that have a system of management. This is the wild." He spat. "I will hunt where I like," Aspen hissed, swatting the air. His pelt sat on end, and his eyes glaring. He looked for any weakness in the cat.

That was a 'no' if Risingstorm had ever heard one. "Not here you don't!" she leaped at the tom, barreling ahead as if she intended to attack him head on, but then she darted to the side, and dove at him, trying to bowl him over and pin him.

Being from Windclan, the tom was fast. One thing this she seemed to lack. He clawed her, shallow but making it large enough to teach a lesson. "I'm not leaving, I have a nice nest here!" He hissed, clawing at her. He tried to roll over, but his attempts were failing.

So she deiced to come anyway yowling her name "Moonclaw" there was no response. "I guess i can hunt while i wait for her" she said talking to herself. Drawing her lips back so she could taste the air for prey the only thing she scented was a faint scent of vole. She clawed the ground with furstration hopefully Moonclaw will get here soon mabye she could get her mind off hunting and just share tongues.

(Sorry was gone for a few days!!)
Moonclaw bounded after Tansylight's scent. She was late for her hunting trip with her friend. The grey patched shecat was a streak dodging obastacles left and right. Her icy blue eyes keenly searched for her hunting partner. Her ears pricked up as she heard her name. Moonclaw skid to a stop, smirking, "Sorry I'm late..."

@blue jellie

Vixenpaw trudged after her mentor through the territory. She could already feel pine needles getting caught in her lovely tail, and the smell of sticky sap made her grimace. Why couldn't Featherfur just have her clean out bedding back at camp? Why did she have to learn to be a warrior? She would have been able to take some comfort in the idea that she could stay in camp when she was old enough to be a queen, but truth be told, she didn't want to have kits either. What shecat really wanted to have a bunch of needy little mewling kits bothering them day and night? "How many pieces of prey do we need to catch today?" the shecat asked, her voiced pitched high in a definite whine.

The tom's claws struck her on the side of the chest. It stung, and since she was still healing from the battle with the Dusk syndicate, in addition to scaring her, the blow also made her mad. Very mad. He was trying to roll, but she had him pinned. Before he could squirm free, she aimed two good claw rakes with her forepaws at his chest.

"I went the wrong way when I tried to dodge," Nightpaw admitted, smiling a little at her own mistake. "Then I tried to attack too hard too fast while dizzy." That about summed it all up. Good thing Goldenstar seemed so understanding, because frankly, it sounded a little silly when she put it all together like that.

Goldenstar nodded. He hadn’t seen the entire move, since part of it he had been lunging. However, Nightpaw had basically said everything he had seen. “Do you want to retry that?” He asked calmly. Sure, he wanted to be able to watch her, instead of being the one that lunged at her. It would be nice to be able to watch her. However, he would have to work with what he had, so for the time being, he could just work with her one-on-one. Waiting to see what she wanted to do now.

"Yes," she answered at once. She knew she could do better than that. Quickly she lashed out in the empty air with her front paws, practicing her strike. It didn't look like the fast strikes she'd seen other cats used, that Snowpaw had used at the gathering. It seemed... off somehow. But she couldn't say how exactly.

Risingstorm took blow after blow, most of them striking her limbs, and she was starting to bleed. With a snarl she leaped backward off the tomcat. And stood snarling, her tail lashing. She had proven she could pin the stranger and hurt him pretty badly. Now she'd give him a chance to take his lesson and run. "Get out, I said!" she screeched, taking a menacing step forward to try and drive the cat off once again.

Goldenstar watched the apprentince. She did pretty good at the strike, he was just trying to figure out why he felt as though something was wrong with it. It could just be him overthinking things, getting worried about her performance, however, that probably wasn’t it. “Now, do you want to practice the attack again?” he asked calmly, hiding the small tinge of uncomfortableness hiding in his stomach.

He smiled,” Yes.” And nodded his head. Tucking it under his chin he glanced slightly at her to see if she was figuring out how to carry it.

Ivorypaw, copying him, tucked her bundle of moss beneath her chin. It spilled out beneath her chin, and she tried to nudge it closer. "Ready." She meowed, voice sparking with amusement. They must look weird.

It could just be him overthinking things, getting worried about her performance, however, that probably wasn’t it. “Now, do you want to practice the attack again?” he asked calmly, hiding the small tinge of uncomfortableness hiding in his stomach.

Nightpaw stopped her practice. She could ask Goldenstar if there was time to learn how to do a basic strike later. Maybe there was something off about her form. He'd probably be able to tell her. "Yeah, I'm ready," she said, this time only getting into a slight crouch. Something that didn't take her so low to the ground but still made her feel ready to spring.

Goldenstar nodded. He wasn’t already starting to think about what they would do after this. Nightpaw had worked really hard after all, she deserved a break. They could practice some other time. He got into a position, ready to pounce. He took a deep breath, clearing his mind, before jumping torwards the apprentince, forcusing on her closely to try and figure out everything she was doing.

This time Nightpaw dodged to the side. She whipped around and aimed a strike at Goldenstar as he flashed by, lightly tagging the side of his leg. "That was better," she said to herself. The blow had been weak and fumbly but at least she had managed to make contact.

Goldenstar whirled around. He had felt a touch on his leg, so that was good. He padded over, “Nice job!” He said, looking at Nightpaw warmly. “We’ll have to work on those attacks,” he murmured to himself, “But other than that, I think you’re doing pretty good!” He perked up. He was starting to get a little tired, looking over at Nightpaw. “You ready to call it a day? Or do you want to try a few more times?” He asked, trying to ignore the stinging in his wounds.

He smiled,"Okay." He began to lead the way to camp.
