The plea that escaped his mate's maw was almost enough to break his heart, and in an instant, the Maine Coon mix was besides her, covering the petite warrior as best he could with his feathery coat and tail. Snowybreeze allowed a small, loving purr to rumble out, unable to hide the small burst of joy that enveloped him. With Berryfrost having avoided him for so long now, the mere thought of her company was a reason for glee. Feeling her head bury itself in the mane of fur that encompassed his chest and neck, the gentle giant dipped his head once more, allowing his chin to rest upon her head in a motion of comfort. He was there for her, and he would let her know it... even if words eluded him most of the time.

It wasn't until he heard her apology that his good mood deflated, mismatched ears pinned against his head as he turned worried blue hues to her. Why was his beloved apologizing? She had done nothing wrong! And she sobbed now, his heart feeling as though if it was tearing apart anew. For having been... terrible? Oh no. Oh goodness. How had she gotten such an idea in her mind? Truly she could not think such lies? Not that... she was a liar. Never that. But she could be... awfully unfair to herself, in his - admittedly small and inconsequential - opinion.

He floundered about in his mind, unable to come up with a single thing to say. You are wrong was too bold. Don't be silly too demeaning. Because whether he agreed with her or not, he could not - would not - control how she felt, even if he did not agree. She was hurt. She was in pain. She had just lost her mentor. The white furred warrior understood all too well how that felt. The loss that clawed at one's heart. The feeling of despair that she was no doubt going through. The love she proclaimed for him now. No. Wait. Back up on that one. Had he heard right?

Snowybreeze blinked down in surprise at the molly, his pelt feeling pleasantly warm as he let the feeling wash over him. Love. With both him and Berryfrost being admittedly more timid than some of the other WindClan cats, such declarations were few and far in between. But only in words. He knew her feelings for him in actions just as well as she knew his. Or at least, he hoped she did. Oh StarClan, did she not know?! Did she think he no longer loved her? Is this why she was avoiding him?! No, no, that was silly of him. But... you know... a little reaffirmation wouldn't hurt, right?

"And I you," he mewed solemnly, his expression serious as he tried to ensure she understood this was not an admission he threw to the wind callously. "I love you. More than. Words can. Rightly. Rightly describe."
