Owlfeather lead her patrol away from the damaged forest. They'd find no prey in that mess. After what seemed like ages of wandering in what was left of the territory, she caught the scent of frogs. Not the most preferable item of prey, but she was in no place to be picky. The wet weather had made the ground marshy and soft, and the frogs had come out to bathe on the opposite side of the territory, where the fire had not reached.
She managed to gather up a few tiny morsels, before returning to the patrol's rendezvous point to place them with the scrawny mouse she'd caught earlier.

Greythrush helped carry the prey. Larkpaw mumbled. "This is the worst fire I ever seen.."

"At least we caught something, and we've found the explanation for prey being so scarce," Owlfeather sighed as the patrol made their way back to the camp, jaws full of their small prey. She would have to report their findings to the clan. She turned to the two cats walking close to her. "Would the two of you join me in telling the clan about this?" she didn't want to have to break the devastating news on her own. She wasn't even sure where to start.

The two nodded. "Of course"

Exploring for preys, Redpaw searched at each tree, rocks, and holes. The red tom can only find a morsel of prey. When scanning for more prey, he see's the ground of his territory burnt. Confusion on what caused this fire, Redpaw stands there like a dummy, staring at the burnt grass.

Finally, after what seemed about a couple of minutes or so, the apprentice came to their senses. tears had shed themselves from the apprentice's eyes. This was too much for the tom; the dead leader, the resigned deputy, threats coming from dangerous cats, and now this! Oh StarClan... are we're being punished? wondered Redpaw as he violently shakes their head. No. I don't think StarClan would do this to us. Redpaw grabed his fresh-kills with his mouth and returned to camp. Will this bad luck be cursed upon ShadowClan forever?

Re: ShadowClan Territory

Leaftail ran as fast as she can, not giving up to find her lost apprentice, Redpaw, the one she left alone in ShadowClan's territory. The golden brown molly was not used to being a ShadowClan warrior, nor is she used to be a clan cat. Leaftail tries to be one, but she always creates mistakes over and over, and yet, she still hasn't given up hope to be a good warrior (or mentor) on day. She kneads the ground with their paws. Redpaw has to be here, somewhere-anywhere! wondered the anxious and worrisome warrior. Instantly, as if a cat threw a rock at her head, Leaftail had an idea. Leaftail gaped to smelled for the red furball. The smell of ShadowClan hung in the air with a scent of the fire. The warrior strolled around to picked up Redpaw's scent.
It was very hard to see where is to go when crying, a kind of problem Redpaw is dealing. Is not the tears from the smoke, okay maybe a little, but is mostly of affect of ShadowClan's unlucky state. Redpaw trudged while holding the dead preys dangling in his mouth. Abruptly, due to the apprentice's watery eyes. The tom dropped their fresh-kills and hits the ground with thump, which was followed by another thump, a thump that was not caused by Redpaw, but by- "R-Redpaw!" Cried out Leaftail, rubbing her cheek on the apprentice. "I thought I lost for you good!"
Redpaw gave his mentor a curious stare then responded, "What are you doing here Leaftail? the tom meowed coldly. The molly flinched by her apprentice's grimly voice. "What's wrong Redpaw?" worried Leaftail, taking the kills that Redpaw got for his clan. The gloomy tom gazed into his mentor's eyes. "Come on, our clanmates will get worry about us." Leaftail meowed, ignoring her apprentice's gaze of sorrow. The two ShadowClan cats bounded towards ShadowClan's camp.
Redpaw...Please be alright. wondered Leaftail, seeing Redpaw's tears.

Greythrush coughed as he had to pass through a soot covered bush to join the others. "We should try to see how much we cn get..without a leader this will be effecting our lives."

Snowfrost padded a bit behind the tom, ears flattened as she did her best to avoid breathing in too deeply. She cast her gaze to the small apprentice who looked mildly startled at the sight of the blackened territory. "Elfinpaw, don't wander." She adds when the apprentice begins to walk off on her own. She nods to Greythrush words. "I think we'll be fine for now, we've been doing okay leaderless so far." She tells him reassuringly before casting her icy blue eyes over to Weaslejaw. "You're good at climb trees right? Do you think you could be our lookout, finding prey might be easier with a height advantage." She didn't want to wander around in the soot for too long. She wasn't certain what this stuff would do to their fur or worse their lungs.

Greythrush had concerning his gaze. "Are you sure?." The last thing he wanted was a cat dying.

Snowfrost looked over to Greythrush as he spoke up before looking back at Weaseljaw. "It's merely a suggestion if Weaseljaw doesn't want to then I can, I assure you I won't fall out of the tree." She meowed, she had more faith in her climbing abilities, swimming however, she'd sink like a rock. "I think being in this soot for too long is a bit more dangerous then tree climbing." She voiced her opinion.

"What is this stuff?" Elfinpaw meowed, staring at a blackened bush with interest. The trees seemed to fair a little better than the greenery, but the territory still looked weird. "Is it like black snow? Can I roll around in it?" The apprentice has never seen a fire, lite or dead, so naturally, her curiosity was high. She lifted one of her paws and widen her eyes when she sees her pad is covered in the stuff. "Ewwww.... it tastes gross." The apprentice added after trying to lick it off her paw.

"Elfinpaw!" Snowfrost meowed sternly, a little startled when the cat started licking her pads. Her curiosity would literally kill her one day.
