Goldeneye blinked, Kittypet, for sure, he realized suddenly. "You've never heard of the clans?" He asked awkwardly, as when he had talked to other kittypets, and loners, they had talked about how they thought of clan cats as cats that ate bones and killed mercilessly. Staring at the she-cat for a few more moments before he sighed, realizing he would have to explain.

"ShadowClan is one of the four clans in the forest." He started off, looking at the small she-cat. "We're what you would call 'wild' I suppose, we hunt for ourselves, we live without Twolegs, all that wonderful stuff." He shrugged, not knowing if the kittypet would call that wonderful or not. "I'm Goldeneye, the deputy of ShadowClan," he said after one more moment, not knowing what else to say as he looked at the she-cat, trying not to stare at the golden circle thing around her neck, as he was curious on what it was.

Goldeneye blinked, he had heard plenty of stories about abused kittypets, but he had never met one. Being kicked around sounded painful, compared to just having to endure thorn scratches and the occasional fatigue. He didn't say anything aloud, however, going instead for a simple "Nice to meet you Bella." Not knowing what to do, as this was a Kittypet, a cat who might have never had to feed herself in her life, a cat who may or may not have ever endured hunger and starvation, pushing those assumptions away for now, as he had no idea if they could be correct or not.

Instead, he went for a different topic, "What's that around your neck? On your collar?" He asked, looking at the shiny object. The jingling noise was annoying, sure, but he was still curious on how the small, pebble-like object made that noise. Maybe he was talking too much to the kittypet, and not trying hard enough to get her out, but he was intrigued now, so he wasn't ready to make her leave just yet. If he got caught, he assumed he would be crowfood, but he didn't know, just telling himself not to get too friendly, but to instead just ask questions, to find out why she was here, in ShadowClan territory, and why she wasn't with her housefolk instead.

Ratpaw felt his heart leap with joy as his mentor complimented him, he may not be very good at battle moves but maybe he was good at hunting! He took a moment to observe Bagderbites crouch. The young tom attempted to go into the same position as her, although he was a bit more awkward about it.

Bella sure could see that the bell on her collar intrigued him, so she pawed at it as to get his attention, but she soon enough gazed back at him. "Pleasure meeting you too, Goldeneye." She mewed softly, she felt a bit less shy around him, he seemed friendly enough... For now, but as he finally asked about what was on her collar, she smiled, a cute, shy smile forming on what used to be a scared she-cat's face a few minutes ago. "It's called a 'bell', and, in all honesty, I don't know the purpose of it, it annoys me, try to sleep when you have that thing just jingling about whenever you move, you can't." The pretty calico said. "I really wanna get rid of it, but I can't cut it off." She admitted and unsheated her claws to show him how dull they were. Why were they so dull? Easy, her twolegs didn't want her to hurt the smaller twolegs, so instead of just cutting them off, they did that... Soon enough though, a small sound came from her stomach, she was hungry, really hungry, yet, she didn't want to tell him, but he would easily understand.

"I-I could catch you something," he stammered after a moment, taking a deep inhale of the air to see if there was any prey nearby, smelling a few things close by. Bella thought about the offer for a bit before she gave a nod. "Honestly, It'd be amazing to finally get rid of that annoying thing." She chuckled, it almost sounded like an angel was laughing, what she wasn't telling him though was that, under this leathered collar, she had a huge scar because of what the small twolegs had given her because they weren't gentle enough, even when their mother had told them, they never listened.

The calico gave a nod at his next question, vigourously nodding her head at his proposition, she saw him sniffing the air and she almost exploded into laughter, but she witheld herself from doing so and was surprised at what he told her next, simply by doing that, he had been able to smell mices?! She could barely make out a cat's scent and a dog's one, so, she had to give it to him, she was amazed by the fact that he knew that there were mices around here. "W-Well... I sure wouldn't mind having something to eat, so please do... And while we're at it, showing me could come in handy, because I don't plan on going back to my twoleg den." She whispered.

"Watch," Was all he said to Bella, before creeping up to the mouse and pouncing on it, crushing its spine-killing it. He picked it up in his mouth, before walking over to the she-cat. "Here," he said awkwardly, setting down the mouse in front of her, waiting to see if she would take a bite or not.

"Ok hold that position," She mumbled quietly, but loud enough for her apprentice to hear as she pulled herself up, grunting all the way. She paced over to Ratpaw, a satisfied purr ushering it's way from her chest as her joints cracked in protest, and nodded slowly. "Not bad at all, Ratpaw, but let the motion come naturally. Keep your muscles bunched for a jump, but let the position be comfortable." Badgerbite circled around to his left side, putting pressure here and there on his back. "You're going to feel it here," The warrior placed a paw in the small of his shoulders, "and here..." She quickly moved her paw and placed it on his lower back. Badgerbite stepped back, taking a full glance at Ratpaw, her tail sweeping back and forth as she tilted her head in thought. "A lot better than any of my apprentices, what are they teaching you kits these days?" Amusement lit up in her eyes for a brief moment before she continued on with their training. The had always been Badger's favorite thing. Hunting. It made her feel powerful, but it really hadn't been completely about the power for her. Hunting is what she could do alone, especially when she wanted to get away from the clan life. How she wasn't a loner yet was beyond her, although this was her home and how she was raised, so perhaps she did wish to stay.

"Now," The old molly mumbled quickly, "Make sure you keep your tail raised - you can relax for a bit - while you're stalking. Why do you think that is?" Badgerbite's main method of teaching had always been to ask apprentices why they think what. Whether it helped them, she was unsure, but she definitely wanted them to know why they thought it. It also helped her understand her apprentice, their strengths and weaknesses, whether they were more intelligent or battle-skilled. Ratpaw, so far at least, struck Badger as an intelligent cat, but a fighter with a purpose. That purpose was unknown to her, but she had her suspicions since the first day she saw the scarred up new apprentice, to which she could relate more than he probably knew.

Bella let out a cry of fear as he gave a swipe towards her direction, she honestly didn't think he would've gone straight to the point, feeling her neck afterwards and gazing down at her leathered collar one last time. "Well, that's a relief, seeing him shiver, she slightly cocked her head to the side, giving him a questionning look. "I-Is there something wrong?" She asked delicatly in her cute british accent before she simply turned quiet, as he wanted to.

Following the tom towards wherever he was heading, she indeed watched him hunt, her eyes widening, this was amazing, he was so good! "Don't even think about this Bella, there's no way such a strong tom would actually be into a weak she-cat like you." She told herself and shook her head wildly before looking down at the prey he had brought back to her, she took a bite and quickly found out that this was delicious, she hungrily ate it, almost choking on a bone since it was her first time eating such a thing, but it was so good, she wished she could have another one, but didn't talk about it. "I doubt I could achieve something like that, I don't have anything, I'm not really made for the wild, but I want to live in this forest." She admitted.

He looked around for a small rock of some kind, finding one and rolling it over, "Here, sharpen your claws on this," he said awkwardly, smiling, his golden and green eyes looking at her encouragingly.

Why did he feel so attached to this she-cat? Why did he find her cute? He came here to clear his mind from being deputy, but he only ended up confusing himself more. How? How did this happen? He was loyal to his clan, he couldn't be mates with a loner or kittypet, what would happen to him then? Moondancer and Cloverwhisker had been removed so quickly, he doubted he could be an exception, unless...

An idea came to his mind, but he couldn't voice it, not yet anyways. First, Bella would need to learn how to hunt and fight, and then earn the trust of Halestar. That would be difficult, he knew, but he would be willing to help her. Just wait you mouse-brain! He told himself, as Starclan knew how she would act, staying silent for the time being now, waiting to see if she would be able to sharpen her claws or not, he would just see what would happen

Bella gave a small shrug, he honestly didn't really know the technique to hunt, and he had this in his blood, while she was simply a puny kittypet, she gazed at the rock and started to do as he instructed, sharpening her claws on it, from time to time, she gazed up at him, a tad nervous to be honest. "I'm not sure I'll do beautifully, like, you were born out here, while I was born in a twoleg nest..." She sighed, shaking her head a tad, she saw the way Goldeneye was gazing at her, and she, without even putting words into it, simply returned the same look.

Why did she feel so attached to him already? There were so many questions in her head that remained unanswered, her yellow hues meeting his, as she finished finally sharpening her claws, she approached the deputy and smiled up at him, her tail sticking straight up as she started kneading at the grass. "It's nice here, but if I even wanted to see what a clan was, or join, I'd have to defend myself I suppose, since there are four clans, like you told me, there are probably battles?" She asked, cocking her head to the side as she sat in front of him afterwards.

He asked, panting slightly, a smile on his maw.
Wolfglare watched Smokepaw carefully as he stalked the sparrow. He watched his crouch, the way he scented the air, everything. As Smokepaw came padding back, the sparrow held in his mouth proudly, Wolglare let a small, proud smile pass to his lips. "You did pretty well, honestly." Wolfglare meowed, but of course he had to be completely honest. "But you need to learn how to use the winds to your advantage. As well as being able to differentiate the different scents." Wolfglare instructed, flicking his fluffy black and gray tail. "So close your eyes. Hone in on one specific scent." Wolfglare started to pad away, and as he did so, called back to Smokepaw. Bella gave a nod. "I-I know that I can, it's just that... You know, I'm really small compared to you, and weak too, well, I don't know about the weak part considering I never fought one of the cats of your kind, you see, I'm used to an easy life, I don't think I'll make it alone out here, it's honestly scary at times and I don't even have a den to sleep in, I couldn't even find myself a den to settle in for now." The pretty calico mewed, gazing up at him afterwards. "How can I learn if I have no one showing me?" She then asked, she had a point and she knew it, she was used to a soft life, where she was fed when she asked her twolegs to-Well, not really considering she always had a full bowl.

The calico was surprised as he said that she could use her size to her own benefits, her eyes widening slightly as she listened to the tom and gave a nod, finally. "I-I guess I would be ready to learn the basics, I don't want to die out here either..." She said and met his gaze, chuckling as she saw the awkward look on his face, she simply couldn't help it and broke into laughter, covering her mouth with a paw, she didn't know if it was right to laugh at this face, but it was priceless, for sure.

Finally calming down, she gazed at the tom and watched as he got rid of sticks and stones. "I-I guess I'd be up for it, well, I don't really have the choice, considering I don't want to go back to those stupid twolegs." Bella admitted, she quickly approached him and playfully pinned him down, for her size, even though she was playing, she had some force in some small legs, her tail swaying from left to right as she gazed down at the now pinned deputy, returning the smile, paws on the tom's chest as their gazes me, her claws were still sheated, as she didn't want to alrm the tom or simply get a set of claw in the face.

As Bella was batted away, her ears slightly lowered, she met his gaze and got to her paws, gazing at him. She was honestly surprised as he said that this was good, her ears perking as he spoke. "Uhh, could you show me the size thing, I don't really understand how going under another cat can help me take them out... It even gives them a better chance of getting me..." She said thoughtfully, normally, when she was a kit, she always tried to attack from under when she played with her siblings, but always found herself held down by them. Her yellow hues meeting the deputy's once again, she stood far enough, if this was a training, she wouldn't stay too close. "A-Also, before we start, do we use claws or not? I-I just don't want to hurt you so I'm making sure." She said rather shakily, it was indeed true, why would she want to injure the tom who was showing her so much of the place- she just couldn't. "Well, the thing is that I need someone to practice with, and you're the only cat I know in the forest right now." The pretty calico said softly, she wasn't forcing him to train her, she was just saying that he was her only option.

The blue she-cat jerked awake from her sleep, orange eyes were darting around at the surrounding pines and flora. She found herselfin a nest with piles of eaten prey.Where the heck am I? How did I get he-
She realized she set up a den, and that she had slept for a few consecutive days and nights. Her belly clawed at her, roaring in a ferocious hunger. Instinctively, she lept out of the den and searched the pines for shrew, vole and mouse, her guilty pleasure kills.
She sighted a mouse chewing on a berry of some sorts.
She crouched into the hunter's crouch and leapt at the mouse, crashing onto the squealing rodent, then delivering a killing bite. Immediately afterward, she began to scoff the whole thing down, before looking for additional prey items

He stood there for another minute, his expression concentrated and worried, brow furrowed in confusion and his muscles tense with the effort and strain of trying to do this. His training was almost over! This shouldn't be so difficult. What was going on with him... was he sick or something? Sighing, the young tom's tail flicked with annoyance as he opened his eyes. He could smell Wolfglare. He knew where the scent trail was.
　
So far, so good. But, something always went wrong for Smokepaw. Whether he was a jinx or just plain clumsy, he'd found himself getting into more and more trouble these days. To be honest it was more of an annoyance then anything else. But, he hated it at the same time. He followed the scent trail, draining everything else but that from his mind. All the other scents and sounds of the forest seemed to dim as he focused on that one. I'm doing it! The black and grey apprentice thought in delight. This wasn't that hard for an apprentice his age. So it wasn't too much of a victory, but he was over-excited about it all the same.
　
The double back take completely lost Smokepaw-- and he stopped, the tip of his tail twitching at rapid paces. If this had actually been an enemy cat, they would have lost him by now. He would be following some other trail. It had just disappeared. This time, his concentration wavered and he stopped, thinking along the lines of what might have happened. Maybe he should try looking at the bigger picture now? The other scents and sounds flooded in, overwhelming him momentarily, before Smokepaw realized something: his brother's scent was still strong. It surprised him, but he realized this had been the right thing to do. All there was left was to find him. Padding back along the trail, Smokepaw stopped every few feet-- just to see if Wolflgare had, in fact, doubled back and was now going somewhere off the original one. And at last, he figured out where to go. He just continued following the scent trail.

"You could dart under me as fast as possible, and then turn around quickly, and attack my back legs," he said, "Hopefully, you'll strike the joint in the back of the cat's leg, taking the leg out from under them." He was now awkwardly explaining, as it was hard to say anything, when he had been the larger cat in these situations. "Then you could pin them down, like you just did to me, and, hopefully, that will be enough to scare them back to their clan, if not, then you'll just have to use another move," he smiled at her once again, his golden and green eyes meeting both of hers.

The calico nodded at the tom's explanation, but the joint? She padded around the tom and tried to look for it. "That?" Bella finally asked, placing her paw behind his knee. "That sounds kind of easy to be honest." She mewed and stroked his leg with her tail, her head slightly cocked to the side, she did look pretty cute, walking back in front of him as he started answering her second question, she gave him a smile, though, the distance separating the two now was almost non-existant, she was definitively close to him, her gaze meeting his.

"Good, I'm glad we don't have to use claws, I would've never even dared to hurt you..." The small she-cat purred, placing a paw on his chest and giggling a tad, though, she was interested by the mentor/apprentice thing he had talked about. "Uh... I know this might be weird to ask, considering you're from a clan and I am not... But... C-Could you be my mentor?" She asked rather shyly, she had never thought about the trouble he could get in if his clan found out that she was with him, what could happen? She sure didn't know. Trinity left behind several carcasses of her prey items, and still, in her fault, could not stop eating. Eventually, she stumbled uppon a blackbird.She readied herself, and lept awkwardly into the air, but crashed side first onto the blackbird. She was about to deliverthe bite to end the bird's thrashing, but it pecked her in the eye, causing her to screech a horrific sound before slicing the bird across the face.
"Why you piece of stinking horrid fox-dung!"
She hadn't realized she hissed out loud.

Maybe they'll think badly of him....He would lose all his friends...because of Me she took a deep breath a feeling of guilt rising within her No she was always thinking of only her not willing to trust another with her heart not until now for Nightpaw she would have to start letting him closer to her, not physically but mentally one step was telling her problem thats done so..the next one...well she was unsure...Maybe it was to work through the problem? how would they even do that? He didn't understand what she saw those Things whatever they were he could not see them, giving her head a small shake she looked back up at the tom "to be exact I don't care if they see us." she said a small grin forming on her muzzle she had to be strong Eclipsepaw had to for Nightpaw closing eyes she let out the breath the guilt the pain the worries she had let them go let herself relax be calm It won't last long that one voice in her head the only thing that ever stopped her she tried her best to block it out but she could feel it like it was actually behind her staring at her it was just her imagination she knew that but..it felt so real...everytime it talked she could feel its presence with her..did they want her to lose her sanity?....

Just think of her as that for now Golden-your apprentice he told himself, just smiling at the she-cat, he didn't want to get in trouble, so he was just quiet for now, he didn't even know if the she-cat had feelings for him, so he said nothing, listening to her second question instead, just to distract himself a bit.

He chuckled, hearing what she said, being caught off at first by her paw on his chest, now happy that his dark fur hid his furious blush, just smiling now. "I'd be willing to be your mentor, of course!" He said, smiling warmly at the she-cat, "And I bet you'll be allowed to join if you get really good, which is definitely going to happen!" He said happily, still smiling at Bella, "You'll just have to talk with Halestar," he said, shrugging. "Anyhow, do you want to work on the move?" He asked, thinking that they could sort out the joining ShadowClan thing later, just focusing on training Bella now, as he now thought of her as his apprentice, smiling at the smaller she-cat once again.

Nightpaw gazed around as well, he honestly knew they were gonna be in trouble if someone found out about them, he just tried his best not to think about it, there was also the fact that Eclipsepaw saw some weird shadow cat things, whatever was haunting her, and he knew he couldn't do anything about them, he wasn't in her head after all... "I don't care either, maybe they just don't want you to be happy, but if you become happy, they'll probably leave, that'd be nice and for all I know and care about, those things can go to the Dark Forest and stay there." The apprentice mewed, wrapping his tail protectively around the she-cat. "Because I'll be here to protect you, no matter what." He promissed, and this was sincere. "I promise to StarClan that I'll always be there for you, Nightpaw." He then added softly and started licking her muzzle affectionaly.

Eclipsepaw cocked her head to the side a little "The dark forest?" she said curiously almost sounding like a kit which wasn't that surprising due to her playful nature and small size she almost looked like a kit well a bit bigger than a normal kit she stared at her paws thoughtfully wondering what the 'Dark Forest' is, she swore she had heard of that before she couldn't remember when maybe when she was a kit..? "Oh yeah!" she said suddenly her mind giving her a sharp reminder of it "When we were in the nursery, one of the apprentices came and told us about it all the other kits looked so scared but i found it quite cool! its like where all those bad cats go right? like...hm..well i'm not sure who but i'm sure there are some in there! maybe that apprentice that stole my moss ball when i was kit he was so mean! "she rambled on but stopped realizing Nightpaw was probably confused giving a small nervous giggle her cheeks heating up a bit "S-Sorry...I was rambling again.." she didn't frown but gave a silly smile at him, then realizing he was trying to be sweet she added "I know you will protect me, but don't think I won't protect you I will always protect you even if it costs my own life." she said nuzzling into his soft fur.

Bella was actually quite happy that she had managed to find the joint he had been speaking of in a single try, she couldn't help but smile at his next statement, even though she wasn't a part of the clan, the tom would take her under his wing as his apprentice, she almost pounced on him due to how happy she was, even though she couldn't physically see him blushing, she could easily sense that the tom had grown warmer, though she didn't want to mention it, she gave a nod. Goldeneye laughed, not knowing exactly what to say to the she-cat at that statement, he wasn't even really sure why he was picked yet, just going with it for now. "Twolegs do that?" He questioned, hearing her, before shaking his head, "Well, twolegs will always be a mystery," he laughed. That did confuse him, voting for a leader, maybe it was a good idea, what the twolegs wanted, instead of what the leader wanted, then again, they could vote for the wrong person, and things wouldn't go very well. What was a country though? Maybe it was like a clan, but with twolegs instead, he had no idea. Twolegs would always be a mystery, he supposed, watching as Bella got into position. As soon as she was in position, he got into position as well, taking a battle-like stance in front of the she-cat. "Pretend I'm a cat who wants to..." he was quiet for a moment, not knowing what to say, "Kill you." He finished, shrugging, maybe he wasn't intimidating, but he worked with it. "Well, I've heard they've done things a lot worst than steal something from someone, some killed their clanmates and such things, you see what I mean, some trained in there... And promise me, you won't ever go train in there, even if you're forced to, I don't want to see you get exiled, and if we want to insure that we have a good future together, you have to take responsabilities." The apprentice said, smiling as she nuzzled into his fur, his large, bushy tail going around her back and slowly caressed it.

She chuckled and nodded afterwards, taking on a serious look as she observed the tom and just for fun, she puffed up her tail, nodding at his next statement, she gazed at his chest and then, all of a sudden, darted under the tom, her soft fur lightly touching his underbelly as she did so, finnaly coming out from behind him, she swiped, without her claws, the joint as he had told her to before simply turning around and smiling at Goldeneye. "Did I do well?" She asked with that ever so charming voice that she had. She had to admit, she was proud of herself, and he was a clan'cat while she was only a puny kittypet. Bella was a bit surprised as she saw him fall, she was even worried at first, but calmed down as he laughed it off, blushing at the compliment about how good it was for a first time, and it was fairly easy to see, considering one of her cheeks was only white fur, her other was a slight orange and a bit of black. "H-Heh, thank you." The pretty calico said, nodding at his proposition. "Sure! I'd love to learn more!" She exclaimed and approached him, tail shooting straight up, she was gazing up at him like an apprentice would look up at her mentor, there was admiration in those yellow eyes, but also something else, something that, when she would be asked to leave for today, she would show the tom, whatever would happen, she wasn't the kind to hide things away from others, except when she was told to keep a secret, except that this secret was not only gonna be hers.

A tingle went down her spine as he caressed her back with his tail she then relaxed though as he spoke her muscles tensed and she pulled away from him frowning a bit "I know, I will Never train there i promise you Nightpaw." she said then pressing closer to him again the warmth comforting her, suddenly with a jolt she jumped back realization dawning on her face why hadn't she thought it before? those shadow cat things they must have been dark forest cats or something from them that had to be the answer "N-Nightpaw..Those things i see...they must be from...the dark forest.." her paws shook now everything was fitting into place they wanted me to go insane and then train with them, they wanted me to feel lonely, they wanted to use me. her whole body shook with both anger and fear They made her suffer they made her have no friends...they wanted her to hurt others...they wanted her to hurt Nightpaw... "how could they be so cruel?!" she shouted in a fit of anger her eyes brimmed with tears as she flattened her ears.

Nightpaw was a tad surprised that the she-cat frowned at him, he just wanted to make sure that she wouldn't go there for the sake of their future, it could ruin a life simply to go there, but as she finally spoke about the shadowy cats, he gave a nod. "This is why I said that I didn't want you going in it, because now you show that you have some power on them, that you won't follow their orders, that you aren't weak and that you aren't going to join them." The apprentice said softly, he met her gaze and licked the tears away. "Don't be scared, as long as I'm here, you'll be fine, because we're strong... Together, and that won't change." He added and ran his tail along her back again, comfortingly. "I'm here, no matter what." He whispered and licked her face lovingly.

Goldeneye smiled as Bella said he wanted to learn more. It was wonderful, having an apprentice that wanted to learn, especially when they hadn't been born a warrior, and instead, a kittypet. "How about I teach you how to hunt?" He asked, thinking that would be a useful thing, if she didn't join ShadowClan for awhile, at least she could learn how to catch food for herself. Honestly, the deputy couldn't really stand to even think of this cat dying, he didn't know why, well, maybe he did, but he just didn't give into it yet. He honestly just didn't want Bella to leave, but still, with the sun going down, he would have to go back to ShadowClan, and ask Bella to find somewhere to sleep for the night, his golden and green eyes looking at Bella's, seeing something in there mixed with the happiness, but he didn't exactly know what it was. Deciding to ignore it instead, he looked at the she-cat calmly, waiting for her answer, hoping it was a yes, as he found it fun to teach warriors how to hunt, to teach them how to feed their clan, and be loyal to it, Golden and green eyes gazing around for a minute, before looking back at Bella again, still smiling.

Nightpaw gave a nod. "But I want you to tell me whenever you see them, don't get angry at them, that's what they want your to do, you're giving them power when you do that, because they want to make you hurt others." The apprentice said and followed her, he quickly got to her side and gave her cheek a lovely lick, a small purr erupting down his throat as he gazed at the tortoiseshell.
