Well, at least he hoped that none of his clan suspected anything, especially Dawnstar. Getting in trouble with ShadowClan's leader... that usually resulted in death. Pushing away those thoughts, Basil smiled at the she-cat. For some reason, meeting Maple like this, it doesn't seem disloyal to me anymore. But even if it still seems disloyal, it's definitely worth it. |

"Well, not really, but kind of," She murmured, averting her gaze for a brief second and then meeting the tom's eyes again. "I uh, have an old friend in ShadowClan... But i haven't talked to her in a while. Some warriors still suspect I talk to her even now, but I'm not sure.. Uh..." She shrugged. She didn't want to be discovered. Not again. 'What's her name?' Maple seemed reluctant to talk about it, though, so he wouldn't force her to tell him if she didn't want to. 'Oh, and does Bumblestar herself suspect anything?' Basil stared at the calico she-cat uncertainly. It would be bad if she did suspect anything. Really bad. And if Basil's leader, Dawnstar, suspected that he was up to something... Trying to dismiss the thoughts, he waited for Maple's reply. |

"Tortoiseshell, half-blind, gorgeous?" She remembered the first time she and Springblossom met like this. Of course, ThunderClan and ShadowClan weren't enemies then. They were Springpaw and Maplepaw, who just happened to randomly meet at the border and somehow clicked. She paused, before answering Basilwisp's second question. 'I think I might've seen her once or twice? But ShadowClan's numbers have been growing, so I'm not that sure.' Casting a guilty glance at the sky, he twitched an ear uncertainly. 'I think- I think it's time for me to go. I don't want to seem suspicious to my clanmates or anything.' Basil mewed nervously. Turning around, he started walking in the direction of the ShadowClan camp, before spinning around again. 'Uh, see you soon, I guess...' |

'Hello?' he called, before slinking into a nearby bush and crouching under there stealthily, waiting for a response to his call. If it was a ThunderClan warrior that answered, that wouldn't be so good, but he was hoping, just hoping, that the cat that would show up would be Mapledawn. The pretty calico she-cat that Basil'd befriended. I hope she's nearby... |

She knew exactly who that voice belonged to. She looked around, hoping to StarClan none of her ptrolmates heard the distant call. Siging in relief after realising nobody seemed alert enough, she turned to them with a warm smile. "I'm going to go over to the ShadowClan's border for a while to mark the borders and make sure there aren't any ShadowClanners trespassing," She explained. "I'll be back in camp in a while, you may go without me." After receiving a nod of approval from her patrolmates, she started off towards the ShadowClan-ThunderClan border. "Hey?" She called out, confused on why she wasn't seeing anyone. Her ears suddenly pinned back and she lashed her tail. What if this was an ambush? What if ShadowClan found out? His eyes sparkling mischievously, he pricked his ears and made sure no other ThunderClanners were nearby, before launching himself at the calico she-cat, sending leaves drifting everywhere. 'Sneak attack!' Basil yowled. |
