"You caught it!" She tried to whisper, but instead the words came out in a joyful shout. Could you blame her? Her apprentice was a natural at hunting! The large molly burst out of her own hiding spot and leapt towards the apprentice with an almost child-like glee. "That was awesome! Do it like that every time and you'll catch every rodent in the forest." Peachfrost couldn't help but give Berrypaw a few congratulatory licks to the top of her spotted head - much like a mother to her own kit.

Honestly she hadn't felt this happy in... stars when was she ever this enthusiastic about anything? She'd been happy to see Cowpaw thrive in his new position... but that also came with an overwhelming amount of guilt for leaving him with no training. She'd been happy to see Skyleaf and Creamcloud again... but the two had since disappeared alongside her father. It felt like Berrypaw was the last of her family - blood or not - left. Perhaps Peachfrost cared for the apprentice more than she'd realized. Huh.

"I'm so proud of you kiddo. Let's get this back to camp and celebrate." Finally the molly had realized shouting in the hunting grounds wasn't exactly appropriate, and lowered her voice to a quieter tone. That didn't mean that her excitement for Berrypaw's achievement had dimmed! Wrapping her fluffy tail over the spotted molly's back once more, she led the two home.
