In the absence of faith, darkness will prevail.
Over the past few moons, only some StarClan cats have made an effort to repair the boundary between StarClan and the Dark Forest through renewed faith, and this lack of enthusiasm has a cost. Between Bogtumble's efforts to weaken the boundary further, Nightwalker spreading the Dark Forest's influence into the dreams of the living, StarClan cats not batting an eye at the ever-diminishing veil, and the forest's overall apathy, StarClan's light and strength is fading.
This all only points to one harrowing conclusion; the Dark Forest is growing stronger.
The first noticeable difference stems from resurrections, as StarClan Wardens struggle to deny even the most vile of cats. "No" does not come naturally anymore - it's as if some unseen force is making them go against their beliefs and approve cats they'd normally reject. Approval slithers past their lips unbidden, and they are unable to halt the trajectory of fate.
But it doesn't end there, as this corruption of their soul bleeds into reincarnation in similar ways. This is the rotted fruit of their lack of labor. A consequence of StarClan's neglect.
And if this continues... what will stop the darkness from using StarClan as puppets to control?
As October draws to a close and as November begins, all reincarnations and resurrections will start to be affected by this, as both receive 1 guaranteed yes by default, no matter the stance of the cat behind the word.
Count your days before you can no more,
The Dark Forest
