Dawn slowly puzzled its way into the sky, chasing away the dark night colors as the grey sky turned orange. Cats of the Dusk Syndicate scurried into their dens and they took the signal that their night time rave was over. As for Renn, he took this signal as a perfect time to meet up with Lucifren. Padding just outside camp, the Commander took a seat in a shady area and began to groom his sleek black fur. He proposed an important to question toward Just Luci a couple nights ago - although it was pretty obvious the Fighter was more than willing to become a Guard. And that was pleasing. Renn purred as the morning light spilled onto the forest floor and over his pelt. There were no clouds last night; therefore the sun came early. The black oriental decided to lay out onto his belly, flexing his claws as he reached out into a satisfying stretch. His tongue curled into a yawn while he spoke to himself. "Stupid mornings...they make me drowsy."
Once comfortable, Renn decided to think about his recent 'friend' that he'd made. Lucifren has oddly made a positive influence on Renn. He loved being around them for some reason. Normally the Commander would care less about who he "likes" and "dislikes", but recently he'd noticed a slight change in his attitude toward Just Luci. Did he...fancy them? Renn's large pink ears drew back in disbelief. No way. Perhaps he just shares a comforting connection between them - like a really good friendship? It was still hard to believe, though. Hard to believe that it was just a good friendship. Lucifren asked him an odd question during their dinner. It was about love. Why would they ask him about such a thing? Were they having feelings? Was Renn having feelings? Everything seemed a little too far-fetched to mark fact. Why did this even bother him?
Renn became uncomfortable. Usually he wouldn't mind going into deep detail about things, but this topic was ridiculous; load of badger droppings. Trying to push the thought away, the Commander lifted his head to try and spot Luci. Were they even coming? The sun is rising. Maybe Renn kept his hopes up too high. He frowned in disappointment and then slowly licked his backside, trying to fix those last few spots of unflattened fur. They'll come. They got to...right?

The black and aqua cat looked from Cleo then towards Church as she introduced them. He started to relax at this point. He perked up at the name of the area. "I've never heard of it," he admitted truthfully. Seeing that Cleo had answered truthfully, Lavernius decided to answer her question. "I'm from a place not too far from here... there are a lot of humans there though," since he had grown up with the twolegs, that's what he called them, but he hadn't really been a house-pet so they weren't housefolk to him... just humans. The young tom watched Cleo for a moment. "What is the 'Dusk Syndicate'? Are there other cats?" Lavernius' orange orbs glanced around the territory as if expected to suddenly see other cats walking around - but there weren't.

Cleo's head tilted and a dark expression washed over her face when the tom mentioned humans. She hated humans and vowed never to go near them again. When her and her brother, Vasilli, were on their own, two small humans dressed in all black and looked very different from the other humans, tortured them for a short period. Vasilli and Cleo managed to escape but not before they had scars on their bodies. The scars were now hidden by their pelts that thankfully grew back but Cleo will never forget what they had gone through. Looking back at Lavernius, she nodded curtly at his words. "Well the Dusk Syndicate is a gang, a group, a colony, whatever you want to call it of rogues, kittypets, loners, you name it. However, these cats are more sinister than most. Though we have three roles here: Fighter, Hunter, and Healer. It ranks strongest to weakest in that order. Me and mister tough guy over there..." She paused to look at the semi-freaked out tom with an eye roll, "are Fighters." The beautiful pale Bengal fae flicked her ears at the younger tom. "There are a lot of cats here." Cleo then turned her head toward the direction of camp. "Because we found you on the territory, we will have to bring you back with us. Renn would be very intrigued to see such a handsome tom such as yourself." She glanced at Church wondering if the tom would ever gain his composure again.

Lucifren had stepped out of their own den quietly by the time Renn was up, and the newly-appointed Guard blinked their eyes lazily as they rose to their feet. They weren't very timely in their awakening, having slept in late for somebody of their rank, but the cat was just getting used to the new duties they had to tend to, like escorting Fighters and Hunters on trips out into the territory and protectiong the Syndicate's camp from intruders. They'd smelled a strange cat around here just last night, but ignored the scent, as it had mingled with Dusk Syndicate smell as well- They must've been taken care of already. Flinching just a bit as they thought of this mystery cat possibly being killed, they didn't have any more time to react to the idea- another thought was already flooding Luci's mind, and it was that they'd promised to meet Renn outside, for a morning patrol. Oh gosh, I'm late! I'm late for an absolutely important date! Letting their fur bristle in a sudden panic, Lucifren's amber eyes gleamed in the bright rays of the sun as they raced out of camp, their large and powerful paws easily sending them across the territory with ease, and the cat scented around for any sign of their Commander.
As they searched frantically, Lucifren finally caught sight of the brown-pelted oriental, and gave a sigh of relief as they sprinted through a row of dense bushed to the cat, wincing slightly from the force it took to run through all the shrubbery on their own. "S-Sorry I'm late!" Luci exclaimed, their tail still bushed up from the anxiety their timing had caused, though they hoped to hide how nervous they felt when meeting Renn again. Why don't I feel this around any other cats- I'm not nervous because I'm scared, but for some sort of different reason... like I don't want to embarrass myself in front of him, like he makes me feel happy- even though I'm late to our patrol. Shaking off the leaves scattered around their fur awkwardly, the Guard shuffled their paws quietly as they tried to wait for the Commander to start speaking, since they didn't know what to talk about or what to do right now- they barely seemed to know how to do anything but stand there, frozen and in awe of how their new friend made them feel. Mouse-dung! Why do I have to be so stupid sometimes- can't I just be normal? Luci tried to stay calm, but it was quite obvious they were distracted as they stood, waiting.

Renn smirked once he heard the sudden pitter patter of Lucifren's familiar pawsteps in the distance. He watched as the Guard scrambled out from between some shrubs, panting and obviously in a hurry. Renn chuckled as he gracefully stood. "About time, floof-face." He teased, flickering his tail in amusement. He helped Just Luci swish the leaves away, then purred into a proper greeting. "'Morning. Ready for the patrol?" Their awkwardness began to return, although it sent a "warm feeling" of admiration throughout Renn. He found Luci's staggering sort of hilarious; even somewhat flattering. Although this could be Just Luci being natural - the idea of having someone get nervous around yourself is just great.
The commander readied himself and padded off toward the very edges of the Syndicate. Morning was finally official, spreading daylight throughout the land. Everything looked different at this time. Almost pretty. Of corse he preferred the coolness of moonlight, he enjoyed seeing the illuminating rays of sunlight filtering through the trees. Yet he was still sleepy, which was annoying. Trying to perk himself up, Renn looked over his shoulders to spot Luci. "So how do you like being a Guard?" The brownish-black oriental asked. "I'll be announcing your position soon. Hopefully you're enjoying the upgrade? Nothing too tricky of a job, I hope." His green orbs sparkled intriguingly while he gazed down at his dear friend. Their colorful fur was appealing to Renns eye. He always liked colorful pelts, he envied them, wishing that his own pelt could be a little more appealing. And Luci's pelt has recently been his favorite to look at.
Renn snapped out of his trance, deciding to blankly stare at his own boring paws for a moment. Since when was he so interested in someones pelt? Making himself uncomfortable, the Commander cleared his throat and took a quick scan of his surroundings. They were on a patrol, after all. Not some silly private walk. Or date. Right? "There haven't been much Clan activity recently. Makes me wonder." He forced out some random topic, trying to fill the silences. He didn't want this to be awkward - even if that might be practically impossible around Lucifren. Renn still wanted to believe there were no feelings. Perhaps he was still spooked by Just Luci the other night. That conversation about love has been on his mind for a while now, almost too long. Without thinking, Renn allowed himself to bring the topic back up. "Can I ask you something?"

Church remained silent as the two spoke, still unsure what to do in this situation and being terrible with younger cats. Though Lavernius listened to Cleo as stiffened slightly as she said that he had to go with them. Part of him wanted to run - sinister? It didn't sound like something he wanted to get involved with. But still... he didn't really have a place to go, and he was a bit curious about this Dusk Syndicate that Cleo was speaking of. He was hesitant to really say anything for a bit, and decided to just nod. The black and aqua tom didn't know what else to do. He was sure that if he tried to leave, than Church and Cleo would have to track him down, but he wasn't their enemy, and he wasn't one for fighting, so he went with the simplest solution. As the molly glanced back at Church, so did Lavernius, still uncertain about the tom that had originally found him and seemed... really strange. But as long as he wasn't going to hurt him, it was alright.

Perhaps he was still spooked by Just Luci the other night. That conversation about love has been on his mind for a while now, almost too long. Without thinking, Renn allowed himself to bring the topic back up. "Can I ask you something?"
Bunching their tail-fur up suddenly at the sound of being called a 'floof-face', Lucifren tried to remind themselves that it was just a term of affection, only a simple greeting- H-he's not teasing me, at least not with cruel intent, I think. I know what cruel intent really is. Gulping as Renn continued to talk, he seemed so confident in his words, almost like he knew what was right and wrong. Nodding eagerly for the question of being ready for the patrol, the Commander's second question was a bit harder to answer. "It's great- not too much has happened, but there's a bit of clan scent on the bo-" As soon as Renn started to talk about the absence of clan markings on their territory, they realized their discovery was probably just a dream, or an unconcious grab for success, the tricolored cat shook their head slowly. "Nevermind... probably just a hallucination." It was already unnerving them, how amazing the tom in front of them was. He was absolutely kind, but also wise- he knew when he needed to fight, and fought well. Renn was admirable, and it was a no-brainer that almost all the Dusk Syndicate liked him- this was never the case for Luci, however. They were always a bulky and strong cat, able to take on some versatile opponents and come out alive. They were strong, surely- but this Guard was also a shy, mild-mannered cat who always got nervous about something, never fitting in with their peers- but with Renn, this is where 'Just Luci' belonged. Their ears perking again at Renn's next question, as they felt obliged to answer it. "Y-Yeah, sure!"

Cleo flicked her ears in irritation as she padded closer to Church and proded him in the shoulder with her paw, claws unsheathed lightly poking him with her sharp, hooked claws. "Church." She said sternly, with narrowed ocean depths. "You need to snap out of it, you found him so he is essentially your responsibility." The she-cat shrugged as she gazed at the young tom with a small smile. Her personality seemed to switch to a different one as she spoke to the young tom and then Church. "Are you going to come with us?" The she-cat asked Lavernius carefully as she studied him, she still had her nice, calm expression but there was a warning in her gaze as if daring him to try and get away. He would cause the two to get into trouble if they just let him go.

As she prodded him, the silver tabby blinked and turned towards Cleo. Even before she finished what he was saying, the tom was trying to stop her. "Are you kidding? I can't do kids, that's a commitment I'm not ever willing to make!" He winced slightly as he realized that Lavernius could hear him, so he lowered his voice. "Look, I don't really want to deal with it - I mean look at him, he's probably an annoying little brat like all the other kits," he mewed, but knew that Cleo wouldn't really be listening to him and would rather actually ignore his words.
Lavernius flattened his ears as he heard Church yelling about not wanting to take him in. His amber orbs watched as the tabby lowered his voice so that the younger tom wouldn't hear him, but Lavernius was able to perk his ears and hear him mumbling to Cleo. When the molly turned towards him and asked if he was coming, the young cat had to think about it for a moment, hesitant to make a quick decision. "Okay," he finally agreed to go with them, though he threw a glare at Church as he answered, and the older tom narrowed his own orbs.

Duskflight -- Your Post From Before Migration;
His anger had flared earlier with his interaction with his sister, but slowly as he trekked into the territory after her, it seemed to level off back at the normal level of anger that it was usually at. He slightly hoped that he could catch up with Mercy before she happened to strike another cat, but he wasn't overly concerned with making sure that he did, just trotting along at a decent pace. Inside he was aching for the metallic taste of blood, the feeling of his claws raking through flesh, the feeling of his anger ebbing away for just a little bit. It had been a while since he had killed something, specifically another cat, it was time he killed something. Perhaps he would be given that opportunity today.
Ears perking up at the sound of commotion ahead, Wrath flattened his ears and growled lowly, smelling the blood and immediately he came barreling out of the undergrowth. He wanted to kill the cat. Shouldering Mercy out of the way, he immediately latched his powerful jaws onto the felines throat, viciously shaking his head, tearing flesh into ribbons and snarling, pinning the other feline down as he did this, his sharp claws hooking into the she-cat. Wrath had completely forgotten that Mercy was there and likely wanted to kill this cat. It didn't matter to him at the moment. ))
Mercy growled as she was pushed, landing on her side. When she got to her paws again, her tail lashed and she hissed. The tortie's paw lashed out, catching Wrath on the flank and making a small mark. "You idiot! That was my kill! You are such a moron!" Her one eye blazed with fury and she crouched down, a snarl upon her curled lips. She readied herself to spring, her bloodlust on overdrive.
Even if she lost, she'd just have to battle her own brother to get that feeling of tearing something apart in which she oh-so craved. Mercy's claws dug into the ground as she imagined that it was Wrath's flesh. Her face was distorted with insanity, her ears flattened. "Idiot! I can't wait to taste your blood!" She cackled.

{It's fine!}
Within moments the large, burly tom had reduced the thing that had once been a cat into a bloody, mangled mess, in fact, he had been so tuned into flooding out his anger that he didn't even feel the stinging mark as Mercy clawed at his flank, drawing blood. Licking his lips and taking a step back, Wrath surveyed the mess of a corpse before turning his attention to his sister. His anger was now dulled, manageable really, so he simply looked at his sister with a neutral face as she crouched down and snarled, not a single worry on his face as she appeared that she was about to spring. Wrath was one of the largest of the siblings, and compared to Mercy, he practically towered over her, that, and he had a remarkably high pain tolerance.
Snorting in mild amusement, the long-furred, muscled tom smirked slightly at his sister, an odd look on his usually angry face, his eyes glinting with a strange look. "You're the idiot Mercy. You make one more towards attacking me I'll render you incapable of moving and let the crows pick at your bones. Go find some other stupid cat before you do something to hurt yourself." Meowed the tom, sitting down and beginning to lick his paw, though his eyes were still focused on her, his claws unsheathed and ready to grip into her should she make any violent advance towards him.

Mercy growled, her eye glimmering. She gazed at Wrath, vision flickering between his eyes. A snarl curled at her lips as she took a step back. Might as well keep her worthless, blood filled life. She might actually have something to live for before her crimes catch up to her! With a roll of her eyes, the tortie backed down. Her bloody crazed gaze still shone with hate, but she let up and turned away. "Just stay out of my way next time." She hissed, looking over her shoulder before stalking away.
This time, she hoped Wrath would follow her. She just needed a little taste of violence, right? Mercy could lead him into a trap! Great idea. But, what kind of trap should she use? He won't get fooled easily! Many different ideas swarmed through her head as she crawled away, her tail lashing.

Wrath's gaze was even as he looked at his sister in her eye, oh he knew that she was angry, but he didn't really care. He was able to soothe his anger and that's all that mattered to him. It helped to take the edge off, it helped to dissipate that red mist of wrath that fogged his vision and plagued his emotions. "Good." meowed the ragged tom simply enough as she took a step back, glad to see that his sibling had made the correct choice, he didn't really want to have to end her life, but he would do so without hesitation if it came down to it and that's just how Wrath was.
Snorting at Mercy's words, the older brother simply flicked his tail in dismissal, her words meant nothing to him because he could easily take her down any moment he wished. Continuing to groom himself, he would watch her leave, thinking a few things over now that his mind was clear of anger. I suppose I'll follow after, it should be interesting to see what she's up to. He thought for a moment as he was nearing the end of his grooming session. Once done he would sigh out, stretch, sink his claws into the ground before beginning to follow the scent trail his younger, one-eyed sister left, curious to see if she had happened to kill anyone yet.

The tortie gave a feline smirk, her eye twitching back. She pressed her ear to the ground, listening for any sounds of heavy paws. Finding none, she moved on. Her ears swiveled and she licked her maw, a dark look falling over her. Mercy looked around, sprinting into a tree and to where she smelled an unfamiliar scent. A loner. She dropped down, her ears flattening as she slaughtered the cat. The tortie quickly dragged its body with her, listening for the heavy paws again. Then, she heard one. Then another.
Bingo.
Her maw twitched into an evil smile. The plan was working out nicely! She dragged the body, making sure not to leave a blood trail that was too obvious, to where the sounds came from. Mercy found the entrance to a den, badger scent coming from inside. She quickly scurried into the den, making sure to stay quiet so her plan didn't backfire, and placed the body in a corner. A badger caught her scent, but it was feeding its cubs so it couldn't come. Yet. Mercy spread her scent and the dead cats scent around, masking the badger scent before sneaking out to hide. She hid where her scent would be masked and her pelt would blend in so she could easily ambush Wrath. If her plan worked, that is.

Her blackish gray tabby fur glinted with a reddish tint, and at last, she spotted a smallsmall, long green creature climbing up the tree. "You play good" She commented, with a tone that suggested that she was joking. The truth was that she thought Ash wasn't very fast, but she wasn't going to provoke the older kit. She limped back to Sobek, though she stayed a fair distance of two tail lengths away from all cats. The young kit wasn't one for being around others, and though her side and shoulders were blood soaked, she gave no sign that she was in pain. She turned so no one could see her face. Is this how life will always be? No care? I have to fend for myself, and fight too often? She'd never known, or ever imagined that this was life. If it was, then she'd fight. Zia wasn't going to give up, and she was never going to show her weakness. It was there, and if it showed, she doubted that she'd live very long.

She was doing it all alone because that was how she preferred it. Privacy and peace, among the feral cats. Although the molly did enjoy listening to Renn's discussions and ceremonies from time to time, being secluded from the crowd relaxed her more.
The forest was filled with trees; some that shed their leaves and some that didn't. Pastelle tried her hardest to avoid the crisp, eye-catching deciduous leaves, so that her prey wasn't startled away. For a moment she just stood, waiting, wondering, with her mind lost in thought.

Slash sniffed the air. Was that another cat? He crouched low to the ground and creeped closer until he could see a she-cat sitting among the trees.

Pastelle's gaze was taken away from the scenery when she noticed the sharp scent of another cat nearby. Not caring about rustling leaves anymore, the molly turned around and scanned her surroundings. The cat couldn't be too far away; she could smell it and hear it.
The tortiseshell looked off in the corner of her eye, and noticed a tom crouching along the ground. What are you doing, hunting prey too? She thought, wondering if she'd been unlucky enough to bump into another hunting feline in the vast territory. Or he's just stalking me. She wanted to laugh at the idea; it was simply ridiculous.

Slash narrowed his eyes as he saw the she cat looking at him. Maybe she isnt as stupid as she seems, he thought. He leaped at her but fell short as a pain stabbed through his shoulder. He glanced down to see that his wound had reopened and was pooling blood.

The leaves rustled and RiverClan scent filled the air. A small green/blue and black she-cat, an apprentice most likely, stepped out and started walking around the territory and laid down comfortably on the grass and drifted into sleep, though she didn't know she might be spotted.

{Is Slash from the DS or is he a loner?}
The tortiseshell she-cat's senses raised; she was suddenly alerted by the strange sound and motion. That tom, whom she didn't know his name... what was he doing? She was suddenly aware that he was trying to pounce on her- for whatever reason. It wasn't like she was the Commander of the DS or anything. She didn't have any important information on her paws. She wasn't helpful in any way, and yet this random tom wanted to hunt her down. Strange, yet still frightening. Maybe he just wanted to kill her for prize or accomplishment; Pastelle wasn't surprised if this was the case.
Anyhow, the molly whipped her head around and noticed how Slash, the tom, was bleeding from a gash. Well, he was quite unlucky. He must've gotten into a big fight recently, or gotten into self-inflicted pain. Whatever the case, Pastelle found it to be none of her business- what she cared about was why exactly Slash had just jumped for her. Her orbs turned to see another feline, Shadow, standing nearby. Huh. She didn't seem to be doing very much.

The molly felt a bit offended by Slash's words. He was trying to attack and now he wanted help? Pastelle now had doubts about him, but that didn't matter much right now. What she needed was a healer. She personally was a hunter, and knew absolutely no way to cure such a thing.
"I don't think you'd get noticed by the commander by attacking me," the tortoiseshell hissed. "But anyways." Her sweeping gaze made it over to Shadow, who was collecting an assortment of leaves and cobwebs. Making a rash assumption that she was a healer, Pastelle clamped her jaws and shouted. "Hey, you over there! Could you help him?" The words were not very polite; they were more forced than anything, but she did not want to be responsible for Slash's death. The last thing she wanted was for someone to assume that she killed him, and if someone did, she would definitely get punishment.
While waiting for the molly's response, Pastelle scented the air to see if any other cats were nearby, to help out the situation. What she didn't expect was for there to be clan scent nearby. A fairly young cat, it seemed, but older than a kit. A bit of hostility and aggression trickled into Pastelle's heart, and her body spiked with newfound energy, in case that clan-scenting she-cat came over to where she was.

Pastelle's gaze turned down onto Slash and she flicked her ear with slight annoyance. "Oh, my name is Pastelle. Strange how you'd want to know my name, out of all things." The black-and-orange pelted cat muttered at the end. "Anyhow, being that you're so curious into knowing my information, how about yours? Who are you? A fighter?" She said. Her eyes narrowed into small slits. "Oh, and don't worry about that wound you've got there, Shadow's probably dealing with it fine." The molly's tail flicked over towards Shadow, who was most likely a healer, and probably knew how to mend wounds like those.
Unfortunately, at the healer's next words, Pastelle felt another bristling of unfriendliness passing through her spine. She didn't like to be ordered around, especially by a healer. For one, they were a lower ranking role than hunters- and even though hunters were often mistreated themselves, healers got worse treatment. After all, they literally had the job of collecting herbs and dealing with blood on an everyday basis. That was nothing useful for Syndicate life. And the lower ranked ones shouldn't order around a higher ranked one. But nonetheless, instead of pouting like she wanted to, Pastelle padded over towards the strange plant and picked up a couple of leaves using her jaw. She assumed they were an important herb, along with cobweb.
The molly padded back over, with the leaves in her mouth, and placed them by Shadow's side. She didn't know how to apply them, so she simply stayed out of the healing and watched. But then something occurred to her, and with the prickling of her paws, the realization happened. A new cat was here.
The patched-pelted she-cat stood for a moment, observing her. It was the petite figure she'd scented just moments ago, still reeking of clan scent. Her body tensed even more. How in the world was everyone so calm right now- well, disincluding Slash- but still? That was a clan feline; she should not be here; she should not be on the territory trying to help out! By this point the molly was extreamly aggitated and wanted to leave, but not quite yet.

The molly spoke as if Shadow were an infant kit, who knew nothing. Although Shadow was probably quite intelligent herself, Pastelle didn't care and wasn't going to acknowledge this.
Her gaze seeped over towards Slash for a second, being that he was lying on the ground right next to Shadow. The syndicate cat sighed, as if he were another burden on her mind. Which he sort of was, actually.

Slash looked from the kit to Pastelle and back. The poor scrap looked terrified. "Look, she-cat," Slash began. "Is this necessary? The scrap's a kit. It can't do anything to us." A memory flashed through his mind: Him as a kit, facing three full-grown cats. Two of them had their eyes glittering with murder and malice, a brown tom and a white she-cat. The thrid, a grey tabby tom, saying, "Its a kit. It can't do anything to us. Leave it be." and getting knocked into a tree with a smack by the brown tom, the brown tom slitting the gray tabby's throat. The brown tom turning back to Slash, saying, "Now its your turn. Ready Tinycloud?" The white she-cat, Tinycloud, mewing back, "Whenever you are, Brackenclaw." The two leaping at Slash, Tinycloud lashing at his eye, Brackenclaw claw his flank. Slash, bleeding and crying, running away, away from the Clan cats, away from the territory, away forever. The memory faded and Slash was breathing heavily. He blinked tears away and stood shakily. "She-cat," he said strongly, "I forbid you from hurting this kit."

She's a clan cat, or ex-clan cat, whatever she calls herself." As each word was spoken, her voice raised louder and louder, with sudden force. "And anyways, have you lost your mind? Are you suddenly supporting the clans?" The molly's yellow gaze was narrowed towards Slash suspiciously, as if he were a traitor in disguise. He might very well be.
Of course, Pastelle was in no way frightened by Slash's sudden command of 'no fighting the kit'. Although she had no purpose of attacking the youngster as of right now, she would most likely do so if necessary. But her attack wouldn't hurt too bad, anyways- she'd never learned proper fighting strokes. Only hunting ones.
The molly then turned her whole body towards Lakekit- she was finished talking with Slash for now. "Oh, you're quite special, I see. You left RiverClan and wish to join now?" Her eyes glinted dangerously. "And you killed your brother. Bravo, bravo. All this for 'true love', right? You do understand that Red might have been cheating behind your back?" She laughed, as if that were the funniest thing in the world.
Oh, this was another example of now nobody should be trusted. If only she'd stuck with what she was doing to begin with- hunting. Then, nothing would happen. Lakekit would probably be chased off by a fighter patrol, who'd do some damage to the poor one's mind.

"Id like an escort to the DS, so I don't have to be attacked and killed like you hope." She flicked her tail in the direction of the DS, "Let's go!"

Storm lingered high in an oak tree as she watched the cats pass. She jumped down, her small kit-like size an advantage to stalking them. "Hello?" She murmured, trying to get their attention. Storm crawled under a blackberry bush, the scent of blackberry's was very strong, though she kept following them.

"Liar." Pastelle hissed under her breath again, still agitated by the situation. But even still, there was big relief. At least the ex-clan cat had stopped her battle for now. The tortoiseshell still held her gaze onto Lakekit though, wondering if this was a decoy, so that Pastelle would lower her guard. It was quite likely.
But now that Lakekit stopped, Pastelle had time to think about the situation that came across her moments ago. Lakekit was definitely one of those different ones. She probably wouldn't stop fighting 'til her last breath. And although that was dangerous, but also one of those traits desperately wanted in the Dusk Syndicate for fighters.

Shadow blocked the kit. "Were do you think your going, hm?" She asked. The she cat smelled strongky of herbs, her paws still stained the Slash's blood (Ahh sorry it's short)

Pastelle growled and swayed her tail on the ground, causing a flurry of disturbed leaves. "This little brat here wants to go to camp. I guess she wants to join." She said, stamping the ground with her front right paw. "Have any objections? Mmm?"
Honestly, Pastelle was pretty pissed off at Shadow. The healer was sitting there healing Slash, while Lakekit was attacking her. How fair was that? Couldn't the healing wait for just one minute, so that she could attack against Lakekit too? Pastelle noticed that if she said these thoughts aloud, Shadow would probably retort back with a statement along the lines of, "But I'm a healer! I can't fight!" And this would only make the tortoiseshell angrier, because she was a hunter of prey and not a fighter too.
Despite being in quite a foul mood, Pastelle clamped her jaws shut. Shadow was the closest ally she had as of right now, being that they were part of the same alliance. She was as much of a friend as Slash was, really, but Slash couldn't do anything right now. He was just lying on the ground half-injured, half-healed. He better feel better quick or the Syndicate'll throw him out, she thought.

Shadow glared at the she cat. "Well kit, why do you want to join the Big bad cats?" She hissed. She looked over at Pastelle, and mouth the words,'I'll help later, lets get rid of this problem' Shadow flicked her tail, and sat on the grass in front of Lakekit. "If you have a reason, then tell us." She mewed.

Eris was a cat who never exactly cared about the small things in life, always aiming for the biggest steps or the best positions in the Syndicate- always with a drop of ambition in her soul, she never gave up on anything she was tasked to do, making her work-crazy and obsessed with doing everything perfectly. It left her with little time left over for her few friends or her brother, Finneous, but the Russian Blue didn't mind having to skip a few light conversations in order to finish something up. Striding out into the territory, however, came one of the few days when the molly didn't have anything to do. Letting out a quick sigh, she looked up into the darkened trees of the Dusk Syndicate's forests, knowing that this place wasn't for the meek of hearts. She was a quiet cat, and there wasn't much about her that had been spoken about in the group, keeping her private life private. "Sure looks nice today, huh?" She mumbled as the she-cat turned her head back down to the ground, quickly scenting for any signs of intruders around the area. You can't ever be too careful, what with that fire that almost reached our territory- at least it hit those fools living in the clans.

Poor kit, Storm thought, going out into the open. "May I join the DS?" Storms voice was stern, her tail flicked in annoyance. Storms leg muscles rippled, her pelt shook as she walked up to them. Though Storm was a full grown cat, she was only the size of a newly appointed apprentice. "Please..." Storms voice became a little less stern, but more aggravated.

The tortoiseshell braced her fangs, looking threateningly towards the young molly, but nonetheless drew away her claws. There wouldn't be any more fights here, she thought to herself, or more like hoped to herself. Lakekit seemed quite aggressive and passionate about entering the Syndicate, and despite her Clan origins, they might as well give her a little chance to join.
"No, no you won't." Pastelle interfered, stepping in between Lakekit and Slash. "If you're really that desperate and want to join the Dusk Syndicate, then you can't harm us." Her black paw-pads flicked over towards the group swiftly. "If the thing you want most is to join, we'll lead you towards camp and you could do so, given that you pass the DS joining test. But if you harm me in any way, or threaten us any more than you had already, we'd have to chase you out. And I'm not afraid to do that." She said, drawing back out her claws.
The molly wished she hadn't given out that speech, really. It was against every hair on her body, but Lakekit was awfully persistent and beginning to be on Pastelle's nerves. The last thing the tortoiseshell wanted was another physical battle: verbal ones were okay, but tooth and claw weren't. And anyways, if Shadow or Slash really wanted to interfere with her little speech, they could do it. Right now.

The grey tomcat's pelt blended into the scenery. The green, grey, and brown landscape, dull and unappealing, was his home. The only one he'd ever known, and the only one he'd ever wanted to. His turquoise eyes blinked around the swamp, and smiled, comforted by the surroundings he'd known his entire life.
His paws worked the ground in an effort to catch up with his sister. He eyed her and made a last leap to reach her. His paws were off the ground for a second, and landed for a puff of dust. The first clouded his paws, tinting his sulfur pelt pale brown. His bright eyes widened as he looked at her and nodded his head. "Definitely, early morning is the best time for a hunt, or just being outside." He smiled.
The pair worked their way through the swamp. Finneous weaved his way under over, and around roots and trees. He and his sister reached the summit of a hill, beyond them the foothills beyond the Syndicate, painted orange in the morning sun. The light washed over him, bathing him in a yellowy hue and a warm heat. He puffed his chest against a powerful morning wind. The cool air made him squint and he sucked in and held his breath to combat it. A wide smile grew across his face. Pride and honor rolled from him into the hills. Finneous flicked his tail. "Onward?"

[yeah, probably before, but if you'd like to set it after, i'm cool w/ that, too? do you wanna bring any more characters into the RP possibly a bit later as an intruder, or just keep it with the two of them?]
Eris let out an annoyed huff as her brother tried his best to keep up with him, almost trying to lose him as she'd stalked out into the territory. However, she'd suddenly decided against it as she thought more of it- couldn't be too bad to simply talk to him. Besides, I don't even have much to do today- and it doesn't seem like there's any intruders in the area as well. She'd been trying to impress Peach, and then Renn, ever since she was a young kitten- but now, there was nobody to try and suck up to, to gain their attention. It was a somewhat strange thing, the idea that all your role models could suddenly be... gone.
"Yeah- sure- I'm fine with continuing on." She muttered, her eyes scanning the area. She'd not grown out of her vision of being the best in the Dusk Syndicate, an overachiever. Her slate-colored pelt bristled as she looked around, before looking back towards her brother as she talked. "Just looking around for any rouges or loners- maybe even an escaped Syndicate member, but I can't scent very well right now, I don't think. It's fuzzy." There's nobody to show off to, but I just want to do something important maybe find somebody important. Besides, I'm older than when they first made me a trainee- I'm mature.
Her light green eyes didn't show much reflection in the sky, with the sun having been dimmed from the chilly air and occasional rains, making the area a bit more cloudy than usual.

It infuriated her that nobody had listened to her previously statements. They were probably hard to hear and listen to, yes, but it made sense- didn't it? Or was Pastelle just going crazy-- she wasn't surprised if she was.

The black-and-ginger molly was somewhat satisfied with the answer provided to her. Slash seemed to be going through a rough time there. She had no clue who made the large wound alongside the tom's flank, but it could've been a wild animal like a fox. Or a battle scar that never healed properly. And so, opening her jaw to reply, the hunter nodded. "We always have long days." Her voice had a slight wisp to it, nearly like a wistful sigh.
Despite this thinking, however, Pastelle had a deeper emotion towards his minimal phrases. Even if the molly accepted the apology, she didn't exactly like like it. The 'sorry' didn't seem to be much of an excuse for such rash, cold words- but it didn't matter now. What mattered was unity. Despite Pastelle's desire to be alone most of the time, she knew that the DS supposed to be a whole, working together. Not friends against friends, even if they weren't the closest bunch. (But then, it wasn't as if Pastelle had a tight group of friends herself; she preferred the relatively solitary lifestyle within the Syndicate.)

Pastelle was partial to the idea of leaving so soon; Lakekit was still standing there not doing much. The tortoiseshell already invited the ex-clan member into the camp- if she wanted to go, she might as well do it already. There was no reason for Lake to hesitate anymore.
Switching her mind back onto Slash’s words, the molly nodded. It might be a mistake to simply leave the territory already, but it was true that Slash needed healing. He’d probably do better in the healer’s den than out in the territory on his back, exposed to nature's fierce treatment. And anyways, there were more herbs inside the medicine den than what was readily available in the forest wilderness; that was for sure.
“You need help,” the molly growled as she saw Slash’s failing movements. “Can you walk?” Although she wanted Slash to be safe, she wasn’t exactly the type to carry or drag a fully-grown cat towards camp. It was too far away, and Slash would be too heavy for lifting.

He’d have to drag his paws along the ground, with an excessive amount of effort, but she wouldn’t have to carry him around like previously suspected. The adult tom was strong enough. It wasn’t like he was a unskilled feline lacking motor skills and balance. Slash would be fine, and that was good enough for Pastelle.
“Are you strong enough to heal by yourself, or should you go to the healers?” Was her next question. She wasn’t positive if Shadow had done a good job with her healing techniques. For all Pastelle knew, she might have made the situation worse. And the hunter wasn’t surprised if the herbs haven’t given much of an impact to the gash on his side.
A prickling emotion ran through the molly when she noticed a scurrying squirrel climb up a tree nearby, shaking its fluffy gray tail tauntingly. Hunting- that was what she had forgotten to do. But alas, her trip was already so ruined by the events of the afternoon. Perhaps she’ll go later, after the sun rose the next day, and her ambitions were replenished. The molly followed Slash back to the clearing, not sure exactly what she wanted to do anymore. Her mine was a little fogged up.

In fact, the world was divided into two parts: fine, and not fine.
Despite being a pessimistic character in the long run, Pastelle believed that things were usually ‘fine’. It wasn’t spectacular or ‘good’, as most cats said when asked about their business, but it wasn’t horrible either. But the tide was turning these past few moons. The molly had a gut feeling that a strong force was taking over… Ever since the clan’s fire, cats were mysteriously vanishing from the Syndicate. She heard a variety of rumors: they were breaking from their ranks to join Dark Forest members, or spying on the clans themselves, or fighting in battle… her ears flattened as she thought of these various events. Rumors were generally lies, but what if these were truths intertwined?
“Let’s keep going.” She sighed, shaking her head from those thoughts. If only the Dusk Syndicate could have a new Commander soon, then things would be much more organized.

Slash swiped his tongue around his jaws. "Do you think I'd be a good Commander?" he asked. He paused for a moment and closed his eyes, relishing the thought of leading the DS to battle, of his cats coming to gaze up at him in fear and admitration as he summoned them. "I'm strong, I'm brave, I'm cruel, and I'm not afraid to kill," he added. "I'm just what the Dusk Syndicate needs!" He opened his eyes and ambition sparked in the center of them sharply. He turned to Pastelle, his eyes gleaming. "All I need to do is prove myself," he meowed menacingly, unsheathing his claws. This time, he thought, a small cut wont stop me. I will finally earn my rightful place as leader of the Dusk Syndicate! With a blood-curdling yowl, he hurled himself into the air, his claws aimed at Pastelle's throat. (Omg, is this what he was planning to do all along? xD)
Pastelle's eyes were harder than stone, more than they'd been when Lakekit had pronounced herself to be a friend of the DS. This situation was different than that. When an outsider was aggressive, there was one story...But when a friend was cruel, it was a totally different thing. (Although Slash hadn't been much of a friend, really- he was just a fellow Syndicate-mate, just like Shadow, but technically, he was supposed to be a trusted member.)
Her yellow orbs were like solidified ice. How could Slash do such a thing? How...? Well, never mind the how. The only thing that mattered now was the truth. He was a deception-filled liar; he was a cruel, solidified piece of coal that only gave harm. When he had made that 'kittypet' comment, Pastelle had forgiven him- she really thought that he had a sudden raging outburst. But this time, even if he apologized straight away, it would be too late for a "sorry".
"Nope, you're not going to make a good Commander. I knew I never should have trusted you!" She said, rolling down onto her back for a glimpse of hope or safety. Her body was tense; the rarely-used muscles around her body was rigid with shock. "Don't think that killing is going to make you the newest Commander of the Syndicate!" A small smile escaped onto her face nonetheless as she pulled out her claws for self-defense. "It's not going to work, trust me!"
For a second, a horrifying thought came into place. What if Slash killed off everyone in the Syndicate, due to his bloodthirsty nature? What would happen then?- he'd have nobody to rule over if he murders them all! But there was still hope. Other cats must be stronger and wiser than him, and anyways, Slash already had a drawback from his recent wound and limp... unless that was fake too the molly wouldn't be surprised if that was an act of its own.

Onyx walked around, blood still covering his pelt from his fight with Bleddyn. His eye still stung. As he licked his lips, the taste of his rival's blood filled his mouth.
He stopped, and lowered his head, sniffing the air. He took in every scent with ease, and could sense so few cats in the Syndicate. He sensed a smaller, slightly kit-like and familiar scent.
Chiaki... he thought, and wondered why she was out and about.
But that thought just wasn't one he should hold on to. He had to speak with her, to see if he still trusted him. He had only two weaknesses, and both were severely almost unknown.
His nose, if it were to be damaged, and his adopted daughter.
He wanted her to know that he still considered her his daughter with pride. Thinking of what he would say, it would have sickened him in a normal case, but this was not normal. He wanted his daughter to like him at the least.

Really, Chiaki had no reason herself to be upset with Onyx, not bothering to think of her talk with Bleddyn so long ago. She was about six moons now, and barely a kit to herself- and she had an important desicion to make. It had nothing to do with her family, rather her future instead. Fighter, hunter, or healer- those are my three options, what I'll be stuck with for the rest of my life. She'd wandered off by herself to think about it, but the arrival of a familiar face didn't really seem too bad to the young molly as well. "Oh- hey, Onyx!" She exclaimed, her eyes lighting up at the sight of her adopted father. Ever since she'd talked to Bleddyn, she never referred to him as 'dad'- but she still respected him, though his lies did hurt her a bit back then. Her father, her real one- he left for one of the clans to investigate one of the battles, and was there right now- she knew this because she'd been slightly following him, trying to learn about who he was. She had things to do and choices to make, but the mystery of her father still left her confused and overwhelmed. Scurrying over towards Onyx, she looked disheveled and awkward- getting her walk started had gone a bit roughly.

"Chiaki, are you still mad about the whole Bleddyn thing?" he asked. "You know he just wanted to get back at me and your mother. He wanted to hurt us by manipulating you." he mewed.
Sighing, he wrapped his tail around her, and smiled. "You still my little pal right?" he asked with a sort of loving chuckle.

(MWAHAHA YES XD) Slash let out an angry yowl as his claws hit earth instead of fur and flesh. "A bloodthirsty nature is what makes a good leader!" he screeched. "If you can't see that, then you. Are. WORTHLESS." He leaped at his prey again, his claws flashing, his lips peeled back in a determined snarl. For a moment doubt flickered in his eyes and he thought, What am I doing? But it was gone quickly, and he landed a blow on Pastelle's ear, tearing it.

Zia stepped across the border of her kithood, sadness filling her gaze. She'd tried so hard, but her best friend, her mate, was no more. Ardis had died a moon ago, and Zia had tried to save her, but there was nothing she could've done. She looked around, the once familiar scent of the Dusk Syndicate filling her nose. Why was she back here? She wasn't sure why she'd come back, she just.... was. The dark furred molly looked around before advancing. She doubted that anyone would recognize her. She'd left at four moons, and now she was a fully grown cat. No. I don't want to be here. She didn't want to face her mother. Her mother probably thought she was dead. And Haiku? No. She couldn't bare to face them again, not after she'd left them. She turned around, starting to head back.

"Yeah, I- I know." Chiaki sighed- though she knew for sure that Bleddyn was her real father- they looked exactly alike, from their white paws to dark, russet-colored fur. "...Where even is he, anyways?" She asked quietly, her head tilting in curiosity as the she-cat sat down, not really noticing the blood- cats died all the time in the Syndicate, so it really didn't mean much to her. It was almost like she could talk and ask questions about her biological father for ages, but it was to no avail that she had another choice to make which hindered her- her future. Healers and hunters get made fun of all the time- I can see it. They say it's really hard to train as and become a fighter, though... it's just complicated, I guess. The kit was never one for making rushed decisions, but she had to figure something out quite soon.

Onyx sighed and shook his head. "Bleddyn is... dead." he said, his deep blue eyes showing no remorse. The flashback of his act shot through his head. I will tell her the truth of her father, how he never cared for his sons or her! He turned his gaze to her and managed a smile.
"But, I have some news. If you wouldn't mind, and if you have decided already, just let me know, but if you would like to be a fighter, I would proudly be your trainer. But only if you want." he said, lowering his head to her.

Her ear was slightly torn by the impact; it would be permanent damage now. "No, it's not." She snapped back. "Haven't you realized?" She paused for a moment, struggling under the tom's grip angrily. "Don't you know what put Renn and Peach as Commander previously?" She said, shaking her head from side to side.
"It wasn't greed, or power, or control. It was because they took charge for the good of the DS." She hissed. "If you don't pay attention to the history of the DS, ignorant cat, then you won't ever become a leader! And although you might not listen to me today, you'll learn soon that my words are right!"
She paused for a moment, listening to his roar bounce around in her ears. No, she wasn't useless. She was better than that. Slash was the one that was useless. He'd only bring down the entire community.

"No, I don't think you're an idiot." Pastelle cried aloud, flailing her limbs to prevent anything other than dying. She was very close to it. "But I don't think you're taking a good approach! Like, if you really wanted to be serious about taking over the DS, you might want to heal up your gash and paws first!" She snapped.
"All I'm saying is that you're being ignorant. Not looking in the other direction. And if you don't want to listen to me, you're going to die just like everyone else." She cackled. "Don't you think I want the Dusk Syndicate to be stronger too? Don't you believe I have the same enemies as you?" For some odd reason, she felt the need to justify her thoughts aloud, before self-protecting her physical body. And anyways, death didn't seem that bad. But she'd rather avoid it so early in life.

Slash hissed as a stray paw smacked him in the face and his jaws closed on air. He stumbled back, his cheek bleeding and his shoulder wound pumping scarlet blood onto the ground. He snarled. "I don't only want it to be stronger," he growled, laughing like a maniac. "I want it to rule every cat in our reach! I dont think you know what uts like to be abandoned by your own littermates, your mother killed by the Clans, to have a father who never even glanced at you, let alone even LIKED you!" He snorted. "If you don't know that feeling, then I'll just have to make it happen." He started laughing again.

"Oh, don't get whiny about your family now." Pastelle hissed. "And don't worry, I have my own problems with that, and so does everyone else, thank you very much." She snarled, feeling the hairs on her back rise up threateningly. "You're not the only one. Don't try to make me pity you, because I'm not." She said, staring dead straight into the tom's eyes.
"I know what the problem is. You're just insecure. That's why you're trying to take over the world and become powerful. And I know this; I'm not stupid; I'm probably smarter than you at any rate!" She flashed back, readily annoyed by the tom's actions. She wished that the physical abuse would end so that they could have a proper conversation, with less flare-ups of anger.
Slash didn't seem to have a well-formulated plan for taking over anything, or so it seemed. It seemed more like a disaster than anything else, and it'd only ruin himself. "You're not going to listen to me though." The molly muttered at the end, shaking her head from side to side.

The whole time, Pastelle had been trying to convince him as best as she could. She told him that he's doing everything wrong; told him that his plan wouldn't work in the long run. But no. Slash wouldn't listen to her at all- he'd only want to kill her, just for the sake of killing. He was a bloody, horrible, insane cat, and he'd murder with no empathy. He was similar to the incoming leaders that took over the clans recently... but never mind about that.
"I can't be your next victim." Pastelle screeched, wringing herself up onto her paws in a crouched position, as if she were stalking prey. It was similar to if Slash was a piece of prey himself, except a larger one. One that she'd have to hunt down.
Now that she thought of it, Slash was insightful enough to strike and kill when the DS had no leader. The band of cats wouldn't notice the tom, nor care much anyways. But the thing was: if they wouldn't notice him, they wouldn't notice her either. Pastelle didn't like killing one of her fellow syndicate-mates, but she'd have to do it if forced to. She'd kill Slash because he was trying to kill her.
And the best part was that nobody was watching. Nobody would care, except the two of them.

"Oh, but you can," Slash purred, circling Pastelle. "Every cat says that. Oh, but what a shame, no one really means what they say." He shook his head in mock sadness. "Except me, of course. No one sees me coming until its too late. Renn... oh, how I wanted to get my claws on him. But I was too late.
Few can get through to my heart of stone," he continued, flicking Pastelle's nose with his tail. "Many have tried. One suceeded. And then she was ripped away from me like moss on a tree! Killed by Clan cats. They said they didn't mean to. They always do, with their stupid code guiding every paw step. Oh, how they pleaded for mercy. I granted it to them only if they did anything I told them to do. They agreed, of course, pathetic creatures. So I told them to kill themselves. Three fled. I chased them. I killed them. Out of The other two, one looked similar to you. I shoved her into the gorge. Her screams stopped long before she hit the bottom. And then I tore out the other ones throat. It took days for the blood to wash away. And the she-cat who looked like you, well, lets just say she had a very grusome death." His eyes lit up at the memory. "I found her body mangled and broken by boulders. Some how she was still alive. But I fixed that. Ripped out her spine. Doesn't that sound..." He paused for a moment, then finished, "delightful, Pastelle? Did you happen to know that cat? I thought I heard her name was Skyfur. Does that name sound familiar?"

Pastelle choked for a moment as she heard the entire story. So depressing. Even if they were good-for-nothing clan cats; even if she hated them, there was something in her heart that clicked. "So, I see that you aren't... new to this murdering thing." She said with a weak, faint smile fading throughout her face. "You seem quite good at it." Each word grew softer and softer.
The molly ignored Slash's question at the end, not willing to lie nor face the truth either, because it was difficult to do. Too hard. To annoying... Slash was bothersome. Why bring up family? Perhaps that was a reason why she dreaded him since the beginning. Maybe she should've noticed his harsh ways before they turned into a reality. Maybe if she knew Slash better, he wouldn't have gotten into this mindset.
"Seems that you have plenty of experience then. Shouldn't be too hard to kill me, eh? I can die, you said that yourself." She said, flicking her tail as if this whole scene was a game in itself; she acted as if he were a nimble piece of prey that refused to get itself caught. She tensed her muscles, not willing to pounce on offense but not willing to be caught off guard either.

Pastelle narrowed her eyes, feeling her stomach flutter with uneasiness; this was not a good situation. She should always be in power, not submissiveness. It wasn’t like she was the Omega of a wolf pack, listening to higher rank’s orders. Slash wasn’t in control yet. She didn’t have to tell this tom the truth. She didn’t have to do anything for anybody. Thinking this gave her a new sense of freedom.
“Oh, poor Slash. You want to know something from me? You want me to answer your question? Well, guess what. I’m not going to tell you it.” Pastelle said in a sickly sweet voice. It was so, so simple for the molly to tell the truth about Skyfur. One small sentence, and she’d obey Slash’s command. But on the other hand, it was so wrong. “If you want me to listen to your foolish commands, you’d have to obey mine too.”
If Slash wanted to murder her, he shouldn’t just squeeze out information at the last minute. He should just go at it. Insecure, this little tomcat. It was probably the reason the tortoiseshell wasn’t in a pool of blood right now.

"I think its safer to tell me than to not. You don't want to see me when I'm angry," he added in a silky purr. "After all, I am QUITE the killer. Poor Skyfur. A shame her kit never got to be with her for more than a few moons, eh?" He smirked, his tail twitching back and forth. (@Tiny Moon I'm good with it! Just watch Slash... he can be a bit... touchy)

Onyx had been watching their whole conversation, and he finally had enough. He stepped out and presented him self calmly, though some anger was brewing beneath this deathly gaze. He disliked this tom trying to control everyone, and him saying HE was quite the killer meant he knew nothing.
The Syndicate has four guards, him, his two brothers, and his friend Lucifren. They just might be his only known 'friend' despite his mate. They have had his back, and he respected Lucifren for it. Onyx was one f the most feared of them all. And him being a rank just below the co-commander, meant he gave the orders to the Fighters and below.
Taking in a breath, he let an emotionless smile creep onto his maw.
"You're Slash, right? Well, I have heard much about you. You were the one who attacked Bleddyn's daughter, Zia, right?" he asked.
"If you were 'quite the killer', you wouldn't have just attacked her. She would be dead."
Letting out a snicker, the black oriental sat on his haunches, and looked at Pastelle.
"Do me a favor, and obey the feared. Not the foolish." he said, and a growl filled the word 'foolish'.

In some part of the territory, a fluffy tom with a white colored fur and black brownish markings, named Darkface walked in the territory, he just don't know where he are, he travelled in a long time, he felt a scent of anothers animals, but, he noticed a felt of anothers cats, he scratched the ground furious, the tom hardly find a prey for him and when he found a good place for hunt, cats was in this place to probably attack him, the tom hided in some bushes.

"That tale is older then I, older then you. I'm sure even Renn grew up to it." Onyx took in a breath, knowing the tale by heart.
"But the name is always the same. Story goes a ruthless killer named Scar traveled to the clans at dusk and attacked anyone who was alone. One day he went into ThunderClan, and a few warriors tried to stop him, but failed. 6 dead by his claws, and he ran off, leaving an 'x' on their shoulders. He was never seen after that, and some say he had kits before his ultimate demise from an upcoming commander."

Pastelle’s eyes hardened as the new feline, Onyx, stepped in. Both of them were brats; both of them were arrogant and believed that they should be in charge. Both of them didn’t deserve anything more than a flea. They were not worth an ounce of her time, and yet she was standing there besides them. If the molly even dared to leave, the pair would definitely chase her off and claw her ears until they bled.
“Oh, okay, you want to know the truth.” She said, looking from tom to tom, flicking her tail as if the situation wasn’t as major as it really was. “Okay then, you know what? It ain’t gonna do me well if I keep it a secret. Skyfur was my mother.” Her orbs turned into hardened stone as she turned towards Slash, digging her paws into the ground as the secret was finally exposed.
“And great, you killed her. I don’t feel any pity, if that’s what you’re wondering. She was a clan cat. Nothing that I deal with anymore. I hate the clans as much as you two do.” The molly hissed. “I don’t understand the significance of me confirming it though. You already know the answer from the very beginning.”

"Of course I knew," Slash snorted. "Did you really think I didn't? By the way, I know just about every Thunderclan cat, ever. They were all fools. But now that I know you don't care... “Ah, ah.” Pastelle said, remembering how she had said something about ‘commands’ before. She’d nearly thought that the tom would cheat her off of their newly formed promise, or absent-mindedly ‘forget’ about it. She wouldn’t be at all surprised if that situation occurred, because Slash was doing one thing one moment, and one thing the next.
Keeping her eyes directly on the tom, the molly nodded. “Oh, all I’d like you to do is not kill or injure me in any way.” She wasn’t sure if the situation would work, or if that was a good deal to make at all- he might spare her, actually- but she’d rather not take that bold chance.

"Good." Pastelle growled back, satisfied for the moment. She paused, scraping the ground with her front paw, taking up the grass and soil underneath. It was an absent-minded practice, one that she did so often that dirt was often smudged onto her paws even after cleaning them off. "What now?" Her gaze locked onto Slash's. The molly was not sure if he'd still be hostile, or have a change in attitude. It could be either.

Okay. Good idea. The she-cat thought inside her mind, padding away from the tomcat with slight relief. She could hardly believe that Slash was trying to kill her one moment, and then let her leave the next. It was so unexpected, so strange, so unbelievable. Pastelle wasn't one of a strong imagination, but even so, the fast-paced last hour had seemed more like a dream than anything else.
And yet it was true, completely true. The tortoiseshell looked over her shoulder for one brief second, making sure that Slash was indeed walking away (and not plotting something behind her back). Okay. {Done with rp?}

(Oh ok)
Pastelle moved further away, and self-consciously looked over her shoulder again to see where Slash was. The tom was climbing up into a tree, sitting there interestedly. The gray-and-ginger cat was surprised that he'd do such a thing, and hesitated for a slight moment, but continued padding away. He's none of my business anymore, the molly convinced herself. He and I will go separate ways and I don't have to talk to him again. Except, despite these thoughts, the molly felt that the situation with Slash had just begun.

(Very ominus XD) Slash blinked at Pastelle, something sparking in his chest. He had only felt this once. Few can break through to my heart... he sighed inwardly. And only two cats have succeeded. This time, as he watched Pastelle, he watched the molly with not hatred or anger, but a strange interest. I'd threatened to kill her, then told her that I had killed her mother. I lashed out at her and actually attempted to murder her. And yet she still faced me, when most cats would have run in terror. She stood and faced me, and even though she was scared, maybe even terrified of him, she had been determined not to show it. Slash glanced down at his claws. "What have I become?" he whispered. "Who will my claws hurt next? Who will I hurt next? How did I become this... this MONSTER?" His head dropped onto his paws.

Does he actually mean what he's saying, or are his words simply lies? She wondered. She debated to herself for a moment, and decided that she might just want to check it out. Maybe things aren't really over yet. Maybe.:.
The molly padded over towards the stump of the tree, pulling her neck upwards to look at Slash. "You have become a cat who is greedy for power." She answered, her mouth twitching a little bit upwards.

At the next part, her gaze was stuck to the ground- this was harder to make out. Slash was... how would Pastelle describe him? Definitely a furball of problems, whether good or bad...
Was it good, that her presence comforted Slash? That Slash favored her? A little trickling thought ran through her head when she remembered how he killed for his past 'favored' cat. Would Slash do the same to her?

Eventualy I guess I went too far, and I went mad. I-I'm sorry about your mother. I wasn't thinking clearly." He jumped out of the tree. "and it will be. Liking you, I mean. And I do need to get control of my emotions. But I can only do that if I have someone with me. I known I'm the DS, but I don't live in the camp." He glanced at the tree. "There's a hole in the tree. Further up. That's where I live. I'm afraid that if I live near other cats, I'll snap and kill them all, just like I did to the Clan cats." He took a deep breath. It felt good to let that all out. Like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

"You- so you didn't kill for Doe." Pastelle ventured first, feeling a shudder run through her body as Slash literally answered the questions she thought of. It was like he read her mind. That was slightly creepy, but... oh, there's worse things than that. "She's the thing that keeps you sane. I'm the thing that keeps you sane." She breathed in sharply.
"But never mind that- you don't have to be sorry for killing Skyfur. She- she's part of the past now. What matters now is the present." Her gaze was plastered up towards the tree that Slash was sitting in.
"Does that mean I should stay with you in that tree?" Her paw reached forwards towards the lowest available branch. It was thin, with no leaves to protect its bare surface. She quickly skimmed her weight along it, pulling herself upwards.

Pastelle nodded, and heaved herself up into the branch, climbing upwards until she was onto the same branch that Slash was on. "Don't get me wrong, I don't mind staying here. The DS dens weren't much of a luxury anyways. I'd rather sleep here than the hunter's den... so much noise throughout the night." She snapped, a little bit to herself.
Now that things were a little bit settled down, Pastelle began to think. How could Slash like her- that seemed like an astonishing feat in itself. Most cats could not stand being around her, and she hardly could stand most of them either...

Slash climbed into a soft mossy nest and scraped together more moss and bracken for Pastelle's nest. "Wow," Slash breathed, swaying on his paw slightly. "I feel... suddenly really tired. I think I'm just gonna take a quick nap..." He sank into his nest and closed his eyes, the scar over his right eye seeming deeper and worse in the shadows.

"Do as you'd like." Pastelle whispered, climbing into the nest with a hint of gratitude. Even so, the molly wasn't accustomed to being at a high elevation. Although the tree wasn't the highest in the woods, it was still quite tall. Taller than what she'd normally prefer. Her orbs scanned the surroundings. So this is what it's like, to be a bird. Sleeping here, away from prowling felines like us that'd murder you...
Unlike Slash, the molly wasn't tired at all. In fact, she was more confused and mystified than anything else. This would be a good time to think about the things she'd done, and wonder if she had just made a couple of grave mistakes.
No, they couldn't be mistakes. And even if they were, there was no turning back. Slash was to be trusted until he turned evil again, although, the rest of the DS cats... oh, they wouldn't care about her. She was just some measly hunter. Nobody would realize that she was missing from the hunter's den.

Pastelle nodded, and stared out for a while. The ground was so far away from her paws.
After a while, it was a comfort to look at the view. Her body curled up into a laying down position, and her tail flicked against some damp moss. Making sure that the companion was okay, Pastelle's eyes flicked over towards Slash. He was asleep, with his paws twitching a little bit. Looks like a nice dream, she thought wistfully. Pastelle didn't usually remember her mystical visions once she woke up.
Her eyelids became heavy over time, and she closed her eyes. Maybe I should go to sleep now... The molly's tail curled over her body, and her orbs closed.

In the morning, Slash didn't wake up. He stayed asleep. When he did wake up, his fur felt slightly hot, and he blinked and yawned. Climbing out of the hollow, he jumped onto a leafless branch and sat down, gazing out over the territory. He watched the sun rise into the sky and noticed the pinks and purples and orannges that tinted the horizon. He sighed. "Is Doe up there," he thought aloud, "watching over me? Does she still love me?" He looked at his paws and at the ground below. Forbthe first time in moons, he felt like a normal cat, one that didn't go on killing for no reason. He glanced back at the hollow where Pastelle was and then picked his way along the branch until he was at the edge. He peered in at her.

Sunlight was pouring across the forest, sweeping through the treetops and illuminating them with a golden glaze. The brown bark of trees were flickering with the radiating light. The evergreen's leaves were transformed from a dull rusty green, to a brilliant dewy blaze.
"Huh?" She said, finally blinking her orbs open and comprehending Slash's comment. "I don't know." The molly whispered, shrugging. She rose up to her paws wearily. Her whole body shook a little bit, from the run-in with the other cats yesterday.

Ares poked her white head through the brush. She perked her ears forward hearing an unusual conversation. She tilted her head as she saw a tom talking to himself. She didn't know why she was shocked. There were many crazy cats in the DS. However, this one intrigued her. He seemed to be having an argument with himself which was odd enough. Her bi-color eyes watched him as he padded back and forth. Pastelle's head turned towards him, and saw that he was trying to hide his wound on his leg. Ahh. The gash from yesterday. Or was it yesterday? Things seemed to fly by in a blur. She shook her head out, and moved under a shadow of a branch, so that her head could be shaded from direct rays of light.

"What's wrong with being different?" She paused, "I mean, look at me. I'm a mess. Weird eyes, pelt is a mix of white and ash colored grey," she said. She watched him lay down. "Oh, I guess that is another thing different about me. I don't run away from you," she mewed.
"Everyone's different blah blah blah yeah I know alright, and you should run away from me you never know when Dred will takeover" He meowed ripping out the grass, this she-cat was starting to annoy him it wasn't fun when they didn't run away, then he couldn't follow them and scare them half to death or let Dred have a go

Ares rolled her eyes. "I'll run away when I want to," she mewed. She began to groom herself now.

Frost shook his head "fine, just stay out of my way" He growled turning away from her to look at the brush. Frost sighed, this she-cat was like a mosquito except if he smashed a mosquito no one would bat an eye, but if he killed her ,someone would find the body, and everyone would be like "uh Frost you promised not kill people on your side anymore wah wah wah" and he'd have to find a new home. Again.

The tortoiseshell looked over at Slash. She was still groggy, and could barely concentrate in the basking sunlight, but there was something odd about something. What was it?
Pastelle's head turned towards him, and saw that he was trying to hide his wound on his leg. Ahh. The gash from yesterday. Or was it yesterday? Things seemed to fly by in a blur. Maybe it wasn't yesterday, but the day before, or two days before? Her sense of time was warped. She shook her head out, and moved under a shadow of a branch, so that her head could be shaded from direct rays of light.
"Woah, I didn't realize you were hurt that bad." She said, rising up her eyebrows in surprise. "We should take you to the healer's. Maybe Shadow would help. Or someone else."
"No, I-I'm fine," Slash grunted. "Just hurts a little- OW!" he exclaomed as he pressed his paw on the branch. "Ok, maybe it hurts a lot, but its not that bad! Honest!" He sniffed at the wound. It smelled sour, and his eyes widened. "Oh no, please not infected!" he whispered.

Ares nodded, "Ok," she said as she padded over to a tree and began to climb.

"Oh, boy, you definitely got something up." Pastelle said.
To most cats- even Slash, if he'd said this a day ago- she wouldn't care. She'd let them get healed by the ones who were trained to mend wounds, and then ignore them. If most cats didn't heal up quickly, she'd just let them suffer on their own. It was their fault for getting weak and hurt anyways.
But Slash was different. Ever since he said that she was different, it somehow changed her whole opinion of him. Slash needed to heal. He needed to be okay. A healer might do the trick, even though he might not want to go to them.
"I'm pretty sure we should get a healer now. We could see if it's really infected." Pastelle said.

"I don't want to see Shadow," Slash mewed through gritted teeth. "I told you I'm fine. I just need to rest." He made to step back into the tree.

He had no name, just a reconizable face. (http://cdn.timesofisrael.com/uploads/2014/05/cat.jpg) He walked up to the Dusk Sydicate territory that he has been smelling for a while now. He saw some cats and walked up to them, not caring that he was tresspassing.
"Mind if I join?" He asked in a croaky voice that was raspy from misuse.

Pastelle looked back at him with widened eyes. "If you say so," she said. "I'm not one to force." The molly looked around the tree with wandering eyes, but her mind was still half-focused on Slash. That tom. Is he just too brave to admit that he needs help? she wondered. Because pride won't do much for wounds. Or injuries. Or scars.
"You could sleep some more if you want." She suggested, with a small shrug. Sleeping was a good thing. She liked doing it, actually. It took little effort to do- for nightmares were uncommon for her- and it was relatively peaceful. Except for the snores that echoed throughout the den. Sleeping in the tree extinguished that, but not without payback. There were small cricket chirps, and the rustling of crunchy dead leaves through the wind, and the rumblings of night animals like owls and bats. All this racket, but it was still preferable than the hunter's den.

Aria followed after fleck, astonished and amazed at how carelessly her friend just stormed out of camp. "Kittypet! You just showed that guard who's boss! That was totally awesome!" Fleck stopped and turned his head. "Well you've gotta make a name for yourself if you wanna survive in a place like this."
"Me? What do you mean me? We're in this together!"
"Don't give me that BFF nonsense!" He spat "i think cats will know who I am after today. You," he paused "you need to make yourself heard. Known. Feared. We're allies yes, but only because we live together. Here, there are no allies or...friends." He shivered as if the words he spoke were a deadly disease. "What were you thinking back there? YOU COULD'VE GOT YOURSELF KILLED! The dusk syndicate needs more cats if it is to say successful. It needs you. You'll be no good if you die from a foolish act of ignorance and carelessness."
"So?"
"So? So? I suppose they could always replace you with another unworthy kit..."
"A stolen kit!"
"I like the way you think though."
"Let's go get some right now!"
"How could I resist!"
"We'll need to organise a patrol. We also need fighters to back us up." They spent the rest of their time planning and training. When it was finally dark, they headed back to camp. "Hey, we'll have a proper look round tomorrow."
"Border patrol?"
"Maybe."
"Then I shall enjoy it very much."

She almost laughed at the comment. "Find the healer's den?" She said. As if any DS cat didn't know where it was!- wait. She nearly forgot that Slash had been living in a tree for quite some time. And if he lived in it for long enough, being completely self-sufficient and alone, he would forget where the camp is. It'd almost be like he was an outsider.
"I'll come too. I'm sure Shadow is gonna be there, being bored... there's not gonna be many wounds for them to tend anyways, unless a trainer got hurt or something." Pastelle mused. The molly stretched up to her paws, shaking out her short-haired fur with a neutral expression.

Shadow walked along the forest, her ears flicked from the side. "Hmp, Cobwebs..Cobwebs.." She mumbled as she walked around. Her tortoiseshell pelt wasn't as shiny as it used to be. All these cats in need of healing, and I'm stuck here doing it. She sighed, sniffing the air for any useful herbs. Suddenly, she came across her old acquaintances. "Hello Slash, Pastelle," She nodded her head. "What are you two doing out here?" Shadow purred. She hadn't seen the two cats in a while, if they were out her together, the could be mates looking for alone time. "If I'm disturbing you I can go," She mewed. Shadow shook her once shiny pelt, her ribs where showing. Shadow had been giving her share of prey to injured cats.

“He needs help,” Pastelle said softly, looking from Slash to Shadow to Slash again, flashing a tail at the tomcat’s horizontal gash along his fur. “It must be a coincidence that a healer just so happened to walk by here when he needed it most. You might just happen to be lucky; I guess you don’t have to walk that far after all, unless Shadow drags you along the territory to the healer’s den.” Her voice was flat and serious, unlike some cats who felt the need to prod a joke at every single comment available.
She was completely oblivious to Shadow’s brief assumption or wondering that Slash and her were mates- after all, no cat could read minds unless they had some special power that she was unaware of- but if she could, she’d be quite stunned. Their relationship was nothing very special yet, even though the molly rarely had any.

Shadow padded closer to Slash, sniffing his wound. She let out a small sigh, turning her blue eyes to The Tom. "Let me geuss, you gt in a fight, and didn't come by and to let me look at it?" Her voice was flat, and flicked her tail with annoyance. "Where have you been living all this time? I haven't seen you in camp much," She purred. Shadow lifted her paw patting the fur away from the wound. It was swollen, and very red, she looked closer, trying not to press on the wound to much. "Infected all right, I need a few things, Borage leaves for fever, and..." She began to go over the few herbs she new. "Burdock Root for the infection, Marigold maybe.." She sniffed at his wound, "Cobwebs for sure, Pastelle wait with him, I need to get these things."
Shadow dashed off, and when to a fallen log. She carefully grabbed a hand full of cobwebs. She walked farther, and found a few limp Marigold leaves, sighing, she carried the herbs back to the two cats. "Follow me," She mumbled as Shadow began to walk back to her den.
