Sasuke lay cold and alone in a cave. Blood seeped from the wounds as he lays back just looking forward with nothing but.. regret and guilt of course he was feeling guilty... he had just fought with his brother instead of taking him with him.. Sasuke closes his eyes remembering the painful words he said the call of the darkness and the smell of blood that wasn't his. He grabs his shirt feeling that pain again that need to go back. To save his brother from the prison made of fake lies told by the man he once called father. But he knew that it was too late... too late to go back to a place that many will call hell on earth a place he was born and raised in. He coughs loudly as he begins to lay on his side.. welcoming the shadows that call for him... the shadows that always tempt him to run to live but yet they don't say why. Why should he live? What's the point of it when all you know is killing? But than again he was happy finally he was alone finally he felt at peace feeling safe even though pain hit his body like waves of the ocean he grew eager to see and know. Yet what now? That question still fresh in his mind as he looks out of the cave ... what now?

Winter lay on his back on the streets of the city blood was sweeped away thanks to the rain that seemed to cry over his pained body. His eyes glowed with anger his body felt no pain only a hot boiling anger that pushed and threw as everything he once knew as a brother! The very man he looked up to. The boy destined to be leader! The boy chosen to be king! Because he was so great! So beautiful so smart so everything that he himself was not! And when that day came when he was finally going to step up and be king.. he ran... he ran like a coward! Saying that our home our family that we were not sane that we were monsters... winter gets up slowly using the very wall that he and his brother walked by many times to help him stand. His eyes burned with rage yet a question rose ... yielding for a answer but was soon forgotten by the need to take vengeance... that question was: Why did he leave me?

Naruto was once again sleeping in his cage ... this was normal so normal the cage was even considered to be his home. The fur on his tail was no longer the beautiful sun colored everyone loved it was now just a sad dirty tail some kid messed up when they threw away his stuffed animal. He was alone having no happy memories of family or a nice warm rest or even a so called bed. He still held on to the hope and dreams of a better life even now after the hell he was put though he wags his cute little tail so happily so kindly with the sun shining behind him as if watching over the little fox. Each meal was a feast and each sleep was yet a other day of dreams and visions of hope and happiness yet he worries about what will happen or what will come next especially to his little home within a iron cage made for one.

As the wine bottle collided on Peter's head, he yelped in pain and fell to the ground, weakly looking up at his father. "D-dad-" but he was cut off by his father's foot slamming into his stomach, leaving a large bruise. Coughing up blood, Peter tried standing up, but he was shoved backwards by his father. Keeping his hands on the wall to try and steady himself, Peter began crying out of pain and sadness, only to get slapped. "Stop your crying, boy! Leave! You're on the streets, now!" He hissed, kicking Peter out the door. Rolling down the front porch steps and laying limp in the yard, Peter felt warm blood slide down his cheek, some of it getting in his eye. He weakly stood up, limping towards an alley and hiding underneath a cardboard box from the rain. He eventually passed out, unable to stay awake. He didn't know of he was going to die or not, which was why he was so scared to fall asleep. He was scared that he wasn't going to wake back up and see the light of day, ever again.

Suddenly, a crash sounded from the home next to Peter, and at the same time that Peter was thrown out, so was Amelia. With Lumina and Sage missing, her parents had finally snapped. Her father was drunk, and her mother had only watched as Amelia was screamed at, blamed for her siblings disappearance, and finally thrown out onto the street- literally. Crashing into the box that Peter had made his home, Amelia felt the rain soak into her thin pajamas, and a quiet sob escaped her throat. Peter and Amelia were good friends, and being neighbors helped nurture their friendship.

Sage was trapped by the same man that kept Sasuke, Winter and Naruto trapped. He was chained to the wall like a dog, chains preventing the eight-foot tall man from standing up or using his powers. His Book of Sins was with Lumina, protected from James as he sat here in this dark room, unable to see due to the bandages wrapped around his face. Quietly, he raised his head as the door opened and James McCallen stepped into the room.

Lumina was sitting under a blanket, watching the people walk by in their umbrellas and warm coats. All she had was a ratty jacket and a book that belonged to her brother, the human form of Hell itself. Glancing into her hat which held a pitiful dollar and a couple of pennies, Lumina sighed and leaned back, gazing at the sky.

Peter suddenly woke up, his eyes widening as he looked at Amelia. "Amelia..?" He said gently, sitting up and hugging her close so they'd both stay warm. He held the cardboard box over their heads, shielding them from the rain.

Fox walked by Lumina, glancing at her before stopping and watching her a little bit more. He suddenly bent down, grabbing her wrist and hauling her up.

Lumina stared at Fox with half-lidded eyes and a tired smile. "Hi," She chirped half-heartedly, struggling to appear cheerful like always. "How are you?" She was cold, really cold.

Amelia trembled, before beginning to cry and burying her face in her best friend's shoulder. Her parents didn't want a mute daughter who was expecting a a child soon enough. Of course, Amelia could talk if she wanted, but she didn't want to... never again.

Sasuke begins to get up slowly. His body was tired and ached with pain as he begins to stand up slowly still to walls of the cave as support. He grabs his stomach trying to stop the bleeding from a wound that winter gave when they fought and slowly. He begins to walk outside soon looking out a small forest close to city he once called home. He coughs loudly causing some blood to spill onto the trees as he begins to walk forward only to fall face first but the shadows stopped him from touching the floor. He growls softly " leave me alone..." the shadows ignored him as they helped him stand his eyes glowed dangerously as he slashes the air aiming to hit them or just push them away. " leave me alone!! I don't need your help! You're the reason I'm in this mess!! And what for?! Nothing!!" He yells in anger that was mostly at himself.

Naruto wakes up slowly when he heard the door open. His tail wagged a bit but only out of fear as he moves deeper into his little home. " good morning sir" he says with a forced happiness and smile. He was scared of course he was after the hell he has seen and experienced his whole life why won't he be scared? After all it was his life that his little wire cage can't even protect him from.

Winter was slowly walking back home, coughing a bit as he continues his slow painful pace. A blood trail seen behind him as he falls forward hitting the floor right in front of the alley lumina and peter were at. He looks at them and begins to get up " hi ... are you okay?" He says breathing heavily still on the floor just looking at them with fading eyes.

Amelia stared at Winter for a moment in fright before reaching out to touch his shoulder. "..." Are you alright? Her expression asked.

James ignored Naruto as he grabbed Sage, pulling his face closer while he squeezed Sage's throat hard enough to cut off his breath. "Alright, boy." He said softly, his nails causing blood to spill out of Sage's neck. "Tell me where the Book is." Sage didn't respond, staying limp in James' embrace. His hand twitched slightly, the demon not showing that he was feeling any pain. He dropped to the floor, his head hitting the concrete roughly as James placed his foot on top of his head, applying some pressure. "Still not talking, eh?" James growled, removing his foot and inspecting the bleeding surrounding Sage's head. "Psh. You're nothing without your powers." James sneered, kicking Sage roughly in the chest before leaving.

Sage was silent for a little while after James left, before groaning and pushing himself off. He coughed, flecks of blood splattering the ground and his hands, and he knew it was there even though he couldn't see it.

Peter hugged Amelia closer before he jumped a bit at the bloody man on the ground, right next to them. "I.. I took a bottle to the head, b-but.. you.." he bit his lip, rushing towards him and helping him sit up, resting him against the wall. "Here, let me help you.. please.." he said softly, gently resting his hand over Winter's wounds, a soft yellow light glowing from his hands. He was slowly healing Winter's wounds, his eyes full of sorrow and grief.

Fox huffed. "You're coming with me." He swept her up, walking to his car and gently laying her down in the back seat. The heating in the vehicle was on as he got in the drivers side and drove to his house.

Lumina didn't complain, she didn't even struggle. She was too tired, and a little too weak to argue with the man kidnapping her.

Amelia watched, holding the box over the others since that was all that she could do.

Winter growls softly when the pain slowly faded " .... thanks..." he begins to get up slowly looking at them. " ... are you guys alone? Where are your parents if you don't mind me asking.." he asks calmly as he touches a cut that Sasuke made during the fight his eyes glowed softly as he begins to look away. " .... may I ask if you guys have a home?"

Naruto eyes widened as he looks at sage " ... are you okay? Do you want me to heal you again?" He asks worryingly as he begins to try once again to open his cage.

Sasuke eyes glowed softly as he continues to walk deeper into the forest shadows slowly follow but he growls loudly when they got too close " stay away!! I don't need you!! I'm free I should be happy!! You should be-" he ends up slowly passing out falling fast first and his eyes saw one last thing as darkness took over the shadows helping him ... once again.

Fox carried her into his home as he laid her down on the couch, pulling a blanket over her cold body and lighting a fire in the fireplace. "It's cold out there, huh?" He said quietly. Walking into the kitchen, fox began cooking some soup for the girl.

Peter continued healing Winter's wounds quietly, glancing up at him and sighing. "I was.. just thrown out of my own house. So was Amelia. We have nowhere to go." He shrugged a bit.

Sage turned his head to face Naruto, and he smiled gently. "Only if you want-" He was cut off by a fit of coughing. "-to, Naruto." He said softly, leaning back and closing his eyes beneath the blindfold.

Amelia was silent, although fresh tears sprang up in her eyes.

"Yep! Probably the coldest day I've had while in that little ally." Lumina chirped, shivering despite the warmth.

just a few houses down from peter and Amelia scheu a new kid get kicked out of his house yelling at his father" I NEVER LOVED YOU ETHER" and slammed the door his pet cat in his arms " its ok kona " he said petting the orange tabby he lookes around looking for any place for warmth his shirt was torn his arm had a deep cut and was bleeding badly he looked at the other people siting on the ground hugging each other and sat down thinking of what he needed to survive

Winter nods " ... how about coming to my home... we have a lot of room and we happened to have a ..... extra room now that ... my brother left " he says sadly as he begins to smile at them " so how about joining my pack? Since you two did save me mind if I return that favor?"

Naruto huffs " get over here so I can heal you" he says stubbornly as his tail begins to pick up a small stick he often uses whenever sage needs to be healed

Sage reached out, grabbing onto the stick so he could crawl over. Leaning his head against the bars of the cage, he smiled slightly. "Thank you."

Fox grunted. "Yeah." He brought the soup to Lumina.

Naruto smiles as his hands touch his shoulders and almost immediately a warm light begins to glow where his wounds were at immediately healing slowly and carefully

Everyone to her was almost like a child. She was suited to motherhood well but still bore no children. She cared for the while group like a mother would and tensed to them so gently. She dropped the knife and walked towards them. Tears where in her eyes "oh... Oh my god" she sniffles. She hugged naruto than safe and than picked the knife back up, she jammed it into the locks on their chairs violently

Peter whimpered, his head hurting like hell. Blood covered one side of his face as he watched Winter and Sasuke. Seeing Sasuke's eyes and how he was covered in blood, he whimpered some more, stumbling back and falling on the ground. "W-Winter, Amelia..?" He said in fear. "W-Who's that..?"

James narrowed his eyes, unaware that Sage was right behind him. Grabbing James and holding him in such a way that he could not move, Sage narrowed his eyes. This man had ruined Amelia's life,had ruined Naruto's, had ruined all of theirs in one way or another. Glancing up at Sasuke,he bowed his head slightly, gesturing for him to take James's life.

Amelia was lying on thefloor, blood pooling from her head and dripping down towards the floor.

Sasuke eyes glowed dangerously as he begins to hold up his hand and within a instant, shadows stabbed James in the stomach but it did not stop at James it also.. stabbed sage. " leave no one alive " he says simply as winter growls loudly " he's my brother " he growls as he begins to stand up and Sasuke just looks at him until he suddenly disappears and reappears behind him " good bye " he says as he kicks winter hard in the back sending flying out of the home. He now begins to look at everyone in the house shadows moved as he begins to walk forward

Sage cried out sharply as the shadows struck right through him. He let out a choked gasp, and stumbled backwards while staring at Sasuke the entire time.

James laughed. "I see you've finally given in to the darkness, Sasuke." He grinned through the pain. "Go on, murder us. Murder the woman who will soon give birth to your half-sibling, murder your poor, ignorant brother who had no idea what was really happening, murder the man who has been wasting away in my dungeons without his sight for years, murder the boy who had been thrown out onto the streets. Go on, Sasuke. Give into it, destroy not only those who have wronged you, but those who are innocent. Let the power control you..." He grinned, blood trickling out of the corners of his mouth.

"Naruto, Adeline!" Sage called out, gripping his stomach where the shadows had pierced him. "You need to get the girl and the boy out of here, quickly!" He coughed, blood splattering the ground at his feet. He glared at Sasuke, unable to protect those he loved- his Book was with Lumina, and so the demon could not help the innocent escape.

Peter's eyes widened and he stumbled back some more, glancing at Amelia as he bent down and weakly picked her up. Staring at Sasuke, his face was full of fear as he shook with terror.

Sasuke grabs James by the neck " I am the darkness. You are in our way. You will die" he says as he stabs his hand though his chest grabbing his heart and smashing it in his hands. He pulls his hand out and he begins to look at sage " where's your little book now sage" he says darkly as Naruto ignoring sages orders begins to stand in front of sage growling loudly " you stay away!!" Sasuke laughs darkly " and now you're little fox of sunlight protects your worthless self.. pity " he says darkly

Adeline looked pained and she wobbled on her legs. She turned and took the rest of the free out, helping them through the window. Her brother was going to kill her siblings and... Her father. In the process problably killing numbers much larger than she could imagine. Fear struck her hard. But once everyone was out she came back into the living room. She watched sage, her father, sasuke, winter. "SASUKE! Brother, this isn't you! This isn't you sasuke!!!" she cried out of desperation. This had to work, this or she would end up hurting sasuke just enough so most of them could escape. She looked at James her father, of course she had so many plots to do just as sasuke had done... But he was still her blood. She screamed out in horror as he dropped dead. She looked at naruto fear in her eyes "RUN YOU IDIOT!" she yelled

"This isn't you, Sasuke." Sage spat, standing up to his full height. "WHat have you become?"

Sasuke eyes glowed " I am not Sasuke. I am the darkness he created long ago. You all don't remember until death but once you do you will understand everything. " he looks at Naruto " but for now I must get rid of the ones he holds dear!" He growls as Naruto changes into a huge fox and jumps on Sasuke biting down on his arm but Sasuke grabs the back of his neck and begins to pull him off. With his now free hand now claws he begins to slash Narutos chest causing the fox to whine loudly in pain as he just simply toss him to the side. " you all must face fear "

"Naruto!" Sage shouted, and his eyes blazed angrily. With a snap of his fingers, the Book of Sins appeared in Sage's hands, and the already tall man grew even taller, reaching eight feet, if not higher. Horns sprouted from Sage's head, and demonic wings appeared upon his back. His eyes turned scarlet, completely scarlet with no whites, until his pupils appeared, white with a black upside down star in the center. "You know nothing of power." He growled, raising his hand. Sasuke was lifted from the ground, away from his shadows. With the murmuring of a curse, Sasuke was thrown across the room, bonds made of white light appearing around his wrists and ankles, banishing the shadows. "The idea that you and you alone can make us fear is sickening. My younger sister has felt it. Peter has felt it. Naruto has felt it. I have felt it. You do not own our lives. It is I and I alone that dictates the death of an individual based on their sins, because I am the only one who can truly see the sins of another. Release your hold on Sasuke, his heart is too pure to be tainted by your foolishness." Sage growled, walking closer.

(Since Sage and Sasuke are both demonic, what if they balanced each other out? Sage can capture Sasuke, making his powers useless, and vice-versa?)

As Peter took a step back, he slipped on some blood and fell back, landing on the ground and whimpering in pain. "S-Sasuke, stop it...! Please..!" He tried reasoning with him. His coat black and the hood covered his hair including a part of his face which was already hidden by the mask. He walks towards the sidewalk and soon begins to walk down it heading somewhere... but the crows followed his every step.

Peter locked himself in his room, brushing out his hair and trying to make himself look good for Fang, to at least impress him. He sighed, heading into his bathroom and brushing his teeth. He tried really hard sometimes to make people like him, and this was one of those times.

Peter nodded a little, shaking with grief and pain. He looked at him and managed a small smile at Naruto, nodding and sniffling. He continued hugging Naruto, his heart and body eventually calming down after all the confusion and action.

He smiled and looked away.

He whispered, walking into the kitchen. His legs were shaking as he took out some meat from the fridge, biting his lip. Now, his hands were shaking, but he didn't notice as he tried picking up a knife, only to cut himself. He yelped in pain, dropping the knife, then whimpering softly. He gently picked up the knife, blood dripping from his hand and staining the ground.
