Hello everyone! The moment you've all been waiting for is finally here! As the title of this thread clearly states, it is time for Dawnstar and Slytiger to have kits! With the use of Baby Boomer combined with Bundle of Babies, Dawnstar will be having a grand total of 13 kits. While it's a large number, these will not be first come first serve. Taker and I are looking for people who put thought into their characters and will remain active with them (or end their story in a meaningful way—don't just have them disappear!).

Your applications should be creative and not just a basic form! There is no need to go out, but show us that you care about the character you're applying! Here are some things you need to know before applying a character:

Genetics
Since these kits will be biologically related to Dawnstar and Slytiger, Taker and I want their appearances to be realistic. Below are the possible genetics for their kits! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me!


Kits can be shorthaired or longhaired
Kits can be chocolate or cinnamon
Kits can be solid, mackerel tabby, or braided tabby
Kits can have no white or low white
Kits can have any realistic eye-color (no blue)
Kits are likely to be larger than average

Names
Dawn and Tiger love their children and wouldn't name them anything silly! Below is a list of their preferred names, and names they absolutely wouldn't use. You don't have to stick to their preferred names or themes, but don't try to name your character something they hate!


Dawn's Liked Names: tribute names after deceased kin (special cases, must resemble the deceased), predator names, strong names
Dawn's Hated Names: twilight, blood, bone, rot, crush, crescent, gloom, slime, happy, kiss, blush, soft, dead, weak or uncommon names, strange names without a reason
Tiger's Liked Names: names relating to shadowclan and its territory, morning, birds of prey, needle, yew
Tiger's Hated Names: names based on personalities, flower, pink, dance, thunder, wind, river, demeaning names

Those are the main specifications to keep in mind! Feel free to add anything else in your application like plot ideas or detailed personalities, but it is not required. So we know that you read the information, make sure to put your favorite ice cream flavor somewhere in the application. There is no set choosing date yet, and we might pick overtime as applications come in! Because of that, I'll list the slots below so everyone can keep track. Remember, if an application gets picked that was submitted after yours, it doesn't mean you're out of the running! Taker and I also reserve the right to offer slots personally to others should we wish. With all that out of the way, Taker and I look forward to seeing your amazing applications!!

Vixenkit. Prince of the shadows, 13th kit of Dawnstar and Slytiger , The Frozen flame.

BASICS

Vixenkit is the youngest out of Dawnstar and Slytiger's 13 kit litter. Being the youngest isn't always the easiest, especially if you have 12 older siblings. Vixenkit is AMAB, planned to be trans in the future once he reaches apprenticeship. Vixenkit is a very quiet and observant kit, normally sitting back and watching the story play out. He is a fairly large dark dark chocolate tom with a lighter chest coat, his fur being very long [particularly his tail fur], and has deep amber eyes.

ABOUT HIM

[I]Respectful: Vixenkit gives his respect to cats who have earned it, like his mother and father. If a cat is idiotic or just gets on his bad side, he will not give any respect to them. He thinks cats need to earn everything, respect being high on the list.

Observant: Most of the time, Vixenkit prefers to stay quiet and watch from afar. Most of the time he prefers not to make his presence known, and watches the story unfold. He also keeps an eye out on anything that can jeopardize ShadowClan in any way, shape or form. Mint Ice Cream Forev. This also allows him to pick up on things quickly, such as specific battle techniques.

Who Lives

As the youngest of 13, Vixenkit often does not get the spotlight from his parents, and catches on quickly about the harshness of the world. He prefers spending time alone or with his mother. He thinks highly of his parents, and strives to be a leader like his mother. He is often very formal around everyone, and is also very harsh. If someone were to say anything even slightly negative regarding his family or bloodline, he will go running to report them and asking for punishment. He often refuses to partake in any sort of games unless he is forced by his parents or has some sort of learning aspect to them

The visage of this aspect of mean comes in the form of a chocolate mackerel tabby with amber eyes. Unfortunately some limitations were made and this kit was stuck with over sized paws and ears. It is an unfortunate mockery fate gave them but they will grow into their paws and ears

Personality
This kit wants to be the warrior that other clan cats dread the name of. A looming shadow that all shall fear, for they will not be afraid to spill blood and make cats lose an eye or two. Their fickle tastes make them only enjoy frogs and mint chocolate. They will try their best to gain the approval of their parents and will try their best to not just live in their shadows. They will be doing too much of that in this shadowy clan. The personality can be tentative as I love to make these characters grow to the situations that they are put into! EX. his mentor thinks his attitude to harm other clan cats in cruel means is bad and does all their power to turn them around, there a chance they will only harm as much as is need to make their opponent to flee.

Plot idea/Hopeful thinking
Wanting to live up to the great shadows their parents cast, Cottonkit would try their hardest to become a enforcer and, with hope a head enforcer. This is a natural desire for this kit to strive for and to try and show how I want to be dedicate to this cat if chosen. Despite wanting a spot in higher social ranks, Cottonkit would never amuse the idea of becoming a deputy or leader knowing what that would mean for their parents, to the point refusing to play leaderkit games... And being a very wet blanket about it.

Overview

Grimkit would take to the background fairly quickly within the upcoming DawnTiger Litter. Having a more quiet and subdued personality in a litter of 12 other kits with much more interesting personas would do that to someone and at first... Grimkit didn't really mind. After all as a tiny little thing, ideas such as favoritism and potentially being swept completely to the side were foreign and all that mattered was your family and what games you would play the next day. Never speaking a word, and never feeling a need to, Grimkit learned quietly that there was no reason to feed into the chaos that hurt their ears so often. But as a result... no one looked their way. They seemed to fade away. And at this point it was so far gone that.... Grimkit wasn't even sure how to gain some attention again, and they didn't want to be greedy. They were taken care of... but it felt like something was missing.

Though sooner rather than later, something, for at this point could it even be considered a cat? Was lurking at the corners of this little kit's mind. Something poking and prodding at their nightly sleeps, but not yet making a motion towards them. But it was a feeling that left the little kit at unease when awaking. Why it was the only times they had full attention, waking while too small to understand anything but crying at discomfort. But eventually, this presence was felt so often that anything that the kit could've clocked as 'wrong' about it could be swept away and no longer felt different. Sure the kit acted kind of nervous and at times paranoid for some strange reason. Mentioning at times when someone was there to listen to them that something was watching them. It was when they were 2 moons old that it was the first time the creature approached the kit during a night of rest.

Grimkit slept soundly among their siblings. Only to wake to the sound of something calling out to her.

Darkness Growing I.
Grimkit had grown close. With the creature that pretends to be a friend, a parent. The kit had grown enough to realize that it wasn't really a replacement. But at the same time... her relationship with her parents has only remained the same as it was. Grimkit never having the courage to do more to grasp at attention from her parents. Perhaps their absence was more noticable because of the creature. Perhaps the creature should scare the kit more than it did. Afterall things pretending to be parents are not usually things to be trusted, but... It was filling a void. One of parental love. Slytiger and Dawnstar. They were good parents. But they weren't always there to wipe her tears after a tumble, not always there to sing her lullabies on quiet nights and during stormy skies. They were not there to tell stories while the kit ate and felt lonely. They were not always there to play games with little Grimkit. The outcast and the lost.

To the Blind, Is Day not the Same as Night II.

Grimkit has learned something new, under the guidance of her friend, she has learned how to enter other cats dreams as they rest during the night. It was something that her friend knew how to do well and its how they communicate with her frequently. ( Dreamwalker use ), though it was later.. when she was a paw that things began to change with her friend. Soon they were telling Grimpaw that they needed her help to feel better, that they were sick, and that they were hungry... starving even! And her friend has done so much to take care of her while growing up it would be cruel and wrong of Grimpaw to turn down helping her friend... even if she wasn't sure about this... this plan. But she would do it. Her directions were easy enough at first, she only needed to meet some Windclan cats at the next gathering, that sounded simple enough... she never did stop to think about why.

The First III.

Her friend was hungry, they said that this would be nothing more than hunting prey... it was just a different kind of prey, the only prey that they could eat. And Grimpaw loved her friend! They meant the world to her so she nodded and promised that she would help take care of her friend like her friend took care of her. She dream walked, and dream walked... until she found them, the windclan cat that she met during the gathering. They fell into their dream. It was odd, she had never done this with a windclan cat before. She hasn't much experience with the other clans outside of the gathering she attended for the first time not too long ago. Though they walked and found the cat in a field. Was this what Windclan's territory looked like? Was this what her friend's home from before looked like? She wasn't sure and padded forward and caught the windclan cat's attention. They were confused, but not alarmed, after all this was a dream. What harm would be brought to them in a dream. They probably didn't even think that Grimpaw was the real Grimpaw... just something their brain made up after meeting her at the gathering. She smiled, she smiled and told the windclan cat that she was happy to meet them again. She felt her friend enter the space, the other cat though, remained distracted.

An End, or Perhaps a Beginning IV.

Her friend had closed in on the Windclan cat swiftly, the cat was now silent and... dead, in front of Grimpaw's paws. It was a strange feeling looking down at the cat that she had just been conversing with, the cat that she smiled at even though they weren't friends it was still strange to see a cat like this. She could hardly even recognize him anymore. Her friend had been hungry after all. Her friend praised her. And perhaps it was at that moment that Grimkit realized that whatever her friend was.. it wasn't something that she should consider her friend, but she couldn't be alone. She was alone as a kit, she can't handle being alone despite sitting in crowds. She couldn't leave her friend, not after everything that they've done for her because they cared about Grimpaw, right? They cared about her and that's why they are friends. This was a small price to pay for that right? She convinces herself that yes, this was a price she was willing to pay for her one and only friend.

*It is undecided the exact path that will be taken for the actual manipulation of Grimkit and is incredibly subject to change to better fit the dark forest cat in question! This is mostly me winging a general idea for this plot but the main concepts will remain the same! The friend in question will be @/dino.'s Bogtumble! Which is why the pair of Grim and her friend target Windclan though I am sure that some of the other clans will fall victim as well. Me and dino. are still discussing the specifics about Bogtumble and how exactly this will play out so this is probably out of character for bog but it gets the point across! If anything is absolutely horrendously wrong with the general portrayal of this plot then please vm me and I'll fix it immediately!

Personality

Grimkit growing up would be pretty much a background character, never finding the will in herself to speak up or do anything special and as her feelings of neglect and abandonment grow over time her motivation to really try to do anything falls as well. She is anxious and prone to paranoia and depending on how the plot plays out she can also be distrusting and scared and other super healthy things :thumbsup: Though she also doesn't tend to try in fear of taking the attention off of her siblings, she doesn't want to selfishly take away from the things that they do and that usually results in her huddling in the nursery away from everyone and often keeping to herself. These behaviors I imagine would also make way for easy manipulation. Honestly a lot of the abandonment issues that Grimkit faces are pretty self inflicted from self isolation, not that she would know that lol.

As she grows up, especially after her friend's murders start happening, I think that she will ultimately start becoming more distrustful of others and cold and apathetic towards them. Having spent so much effort dehumanizing the prey of her friend that it rubs off in her daily life within her clan. She makes an effort to remain polite but she she often finds it impossible to care about anyone and anything that doesn't relate to her or her friend, not the way that it used to. I also think that she would start to be more generally hostile towards the other clans. Especially Windclan after her friend's ire at them. She wouldn't ever explain, nor would she care to explain her anger at the other clans if ever asked.

After those generalizations I have no idea and am planning to round her out personality wise in roleplay <33

RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS
Dawnstar - Obviously, any kit would look up to a parent, but having a leader for a parent is a whole other thing, in Spiderkit’s eyes. Due to her personality, she will probably just watch Dawnstar mostly, and subconsciously mimic her body language.
Slytiger - If you ask her, she’ll probably be like; “He’s cool… just not… mama cool, I guess.” She may imitate some of his body language, just not as much as Dawnstar. She does look up to him too, just, a little less? She might find him weird, who knows

DEVELOPMENT PLANS
Kithood - Not much will be going on in kithood unless something happens with the clan, she’ll stay quiet and staring at cats as mentioned in the file.
Apprenticeship - Will stare less, but still analyze other cats as if she needs to know everything about them. She’ll strive more for approval at this age, though she’ll try to avoid showing it.
Warriorhood - Won’t stare nearly as much, and may become… angrier? She’s always been a bit selfish, even if it was never obvious, and she’ll end up more selfish, unless it comes to her family, she won’t really care much. Though, she’ll strive to be an Enforcer, at least, throughout her whole life.

Another thing in general, is that she may have jealous thoughts, even if it isn’t outwardly shown, if anyone gets more approval from her parents than her.

Overview

Hunting is a very exciting activity, isn’t it? In a whirling thicket of sensation, every tiny sound, every miniscule shift in the earth’s equilibrium, could be prey. Or even a predator, if one happened to be unlucky enough--but that was just what made the whole experience so very entertaining. Just standing there, staring at the world as if to ask, What do you want to give me today? Blessing or curse? And that wasn’t even to mention the chase, followed by the thrilling sight of prey beneath one’s claws. When one really got down to it, they all followed the same base instinct to Survive, but even each piece of prey differed from the next somehow within these confines. Some may claw, squirm, or even play dead, yet each response managed to be unique and fascinating in subtle yet valuable ways. And if no one else happens to be willing, as long as Foxkit (or whichever name he happens to be taking in the moment) is around, there will always be at least one cat willing to hold his claw down for as long as it takes to get a satisfyingly interesting reaction.

Being the son of a leader would certainly be a fascinating position to hold, one must imagine. Just how would the Clan respond to such a cat in their presence? Would they respond with reverie, hoping to find themselves in the good graces of more powerful cats? Or with disgust, frustrated by that son’s position and supposed inflated sense of self-importance? Perhaps, on the outside, none of it truly matters; Fox will likely respond to all with the same vaguely interested (if only mildly infuriating) expression, or perhaps a backhanded comment if he deems it necessary--all for the sake of making things more interesting, naturally. Internally, though, he seems to have an infinite capacity for observation and reflection. Watching others in action often proves enriching enough on its own, but speculating on the thoughts of others? It was a perfect art and could truly be done infinitely! Even though Fox knows that--not unlike prey--many cats exist with similar thoughts constantly pounding in their mind, like a heartbeat. You know, Accept me! and, Help me! and, of course, Survive, and the like. But that never stops Fox from humoring himself with the fantasy that, perhaps on the inside, some cats really are just as complicated as they seem on first blush.

And, well, there was something else to like with regards to both prey and cats under pressure: neither can see your flaws. Neither can see your weaknesses. They know only of their pulsating hearts and the scent of their own fear.

Development

At first, Foxkit likely won’t be terribly distinct from most cats his age. He’ll play games with the other kits, fantasize about becoming a warrior or even leader some day, the whole nine yards. But somewhere down the line, he will find himself dissatisfied with his current life. Maybe he had made a few friends by that point and would hopefully be quite close to his family, but he would ultimately just feel alone, as though he is unable to connect with or truly relate to his peers on an emotional level for some odd reason. It will be at this time that he will begin to shift his attitude towards his Clanmates; instead of potential friends or playmates, they will turn to interesting beings whose main purpose is, in Foxkit’s eyes, to be as entertaining as possible.

After this, Foxkit will become Foxpaw. His changing attitude will likely continue to develop and only further isolate him and sabotage any chance at an actual connection with a Clanmate. During this period, Foxpaw will remain very fixated on the actions of others, though not so much on his training and other apprentice responsibilities. More than likely, he’ll be doing just about the bare minimum to become a warrior in a timely manner; though he may be a bit interested in seeing how those warriors react to a bit of slacking off, the several moons it may well cost him might actually deter him enough to continue sludging along. That alone won’t keep him from pushing his luck in smaller ways, though.

Finally, Fox (haven’t thought of a warrior name yet but uhhh it’ll be cool I promise) will continue down his path of distancing himself from his Clanmates. After all, they’ve made no major changes in his mind at this point, and he would likely have continued to fail to forge meaningful connections with his Clanmates. But he most certainly isn’t bitter about that--no, not in the least! He’ll still be able to find infinite happiness in simply observing the behaviors of his Clanmates, after all. It’s what he’d been doing since kithood--so surely he could continue forever, right? Loneliness simply isn’t in this cat’s vocabulary, naturally!

Also, of course, this is just a rough outline of what I expect will happen to him, and I probably won’t be sticking rigidly to it if other things happen. Yay, variability! Something I’m sure Fox himself would appreciate.

Extra/Trivia


★ Fox would never let anyone know this (willingly), but he fears despises reptiles of any kind. Sit him down with even the most docile of garter snakes, and he’ll probably be on the verge of passing out or making a run for it pretty fast.
★ Perhaps this is just to be expected of a ShadowClan cat, but Fox thrives in conditions of high humidity and low light. Similarly, he becomes rather uncomfortable quite quickly in any environment that doesn’t meet such standards.
★ Fox has a slightly longer-than-average tail. When relaxed, he tends to position it in a vertical coil that rests on his torso. He is also known to hit other cats with it on occasion. Does he do it intentionally? That’s for him to know and you to find out, of course!

Okay that’s it I think! Let me know if there’s something wrong (that is, a weird name or unrealistic appearance) that needs fixing. I don’t want to get disqualified over something simple like that (if that’s the only issue, that is). ^^ also umm i guess i like eggnog ice cream? i guess i’m kinda weird tho but idk i just love eggnog lol

Daughter of the bravest in the forest, the one and only Queen of Mean. Daughter of the greatest warrior to live, the strong and agile, SlyTiger. Such a young kit with such responsibility to live up to huh? Quite a lot in her shoulders but all this kit will do is go Go GO!



Personality WIP


A rather abnormally large she-kit. Her pelt is a deep chocolate brown with braided tabby marks. She has lots of long-fur, making her seem even larger than she already is. Her fur is shortest on her head and most of her tail. Her fur only really poofs at her neck, her head having rather short fur. Her eyes are a daring, bright forest green and she has tufts on the tip of her ears that are white.

Though she’s only a kit she often is quite a bit scratched up, having little cuts and bruises just for the sake of looking fierce and daring. She try’s to portray a don’t-mess-with-me attitude all the time, holding her head high and trying to stand out among her siblings.



Change is Good…Right?


The Kit of Dawn and Tiger. Bound for greatness. Agile and troublesome she is. She sets her goals as high as StarClan, aiming to be one…or 5 steps ahead of any other cats, especially her siblings. She has tricks up her sleeve, being as mischievous as she is, though not to cause too much trouble for the clan, rather for herself. She does enjoy being the center of attention of any cat, but hell her mother is 1000x more important than any cat, and that should be obvious!


The second that she found out and was able to identify what her mother was to the clan and how important she was, LionKit INSTANTLY realized what exact standards may be held of her. She realized her mother’s importance wasn’t a reason she could slack off and be lazy, it was a reason she had to work 10x harder than any cat. She had to push herself to the very very edge, hell she had to push herself over it. Did she mind that pressure though? Not really.
One early thing she observed when she saw her mother, were her badass looks. She wished to be as large and strong as her mother someday. And all those cool battle scars? Yes please! As a kit she’ll fight with her siblings and be troublesome, just for the sake of getting cool scars like her parents. Pain? Nooo—that’s for wusses and normal cats. A little sting is normal…right?

As a kit, she’ll do her best to take every single Kit Class. She has to keep up somehow with her own expectations of herself, and she can’t disappoint anyone! She has to start the hard-work early on so she doesn’t fall behind when she’s older. Her worst nightmare was falling being.

Over View:
Cold-hearted amber eyes and a knack for paranormal thoughts, Shiverkit would tear anything and everything that has done Dawnstar and ShadowClan a disservice. Disloyalty is not something he'd ever tolerate and even thinking about a disloyal Clanner would make him hurl.

Kithood:
Starting out, Shiverkit would refuse to be an annoying nusance to his parents and would rather practice being the greatest ShadowClan warrior the world has ever seen. He'd love to practice on kits and any live prey such as bugs, worms, or flies that find themselves inside the camp.

He could care less for stories about anything except his mother's great achievements and how she slaughtered any enemies. He'd love to hear stories about how his father lived before he became Dawnstar's mate. All of that so he could learn how to go about his own life and living as his parents did/do.

Apprenticeship:
Like his mother, Shiverpaw would love to keep his enemies as trophies, including prey that he eats. Like his father, Shiverkit would work through trying to find every nook and cranny of any cat's mind he finds suspicious (aka anyone and everyone, he'd watch them like a hawk to make sure they weren't going to attempt to tell secrets to the other Clans) and try to weasel the answers out of them through persuasion (because how else would Slytiger have become Dawn's mate, let alone father her kits LMAO).

Should there be any intruders or cats from other Clans that try to make their way into ShadowClan in ways that will otherwise get them killed by anyone and everyone, Shiverkit would wholeheartedly throw himself at them and shred their pelts until they either die from injuries or Dawnstar, Mistlewhisker, or Slytiger commands him otherwise. This of course would be after he learned enough self-defense that he knew he'd be able to handle himself.

Warriorhood:
As a warrior, Shiverstone would be proud to have as many scars as his mother. He'd wear them like a badge of honor for ShadowClan and any cat who has respect for it would earn respect in return. However, if any cat looked at him with terror in their eyes he'd see them as nothing more than a pawn in a game that would find itself destroyed after one good hit.

Any cat crossing the border would not get away without a well-placed blow to the head. If they refuse to leave after being beaten up, Shiverstone would take great pleasure in bringing his mother a pelt from an enemy. Shiverstone would grow up to be a great strategist, only listening to cats he respects like his mother or someone with a similar mind.

Size: Medium to slightly larger shorthair

Appearance: Reddish brown tom with a few lighter stripes on his tail and sharp amber eyes resembling his mother. Looks almost black in the shadows.

Personality: Sharpkit's personality is on the sharp and stiff side. He has very clear likes and dislikes, and he is as logical as can be, even as a kit. At the beginning he might annoy his littermates with his stubborn and prickly nature; however, this does not mean Sharpkit does not feel empathy or love towards them, he just thinks they can be stupid sometimes.

Sharpkit likes to express with respect and actions instead of words. This can be seen in his attitude towards his parents. As long as it sounds reasonable, Sharpkit is actually very obedient, for he respects the warriors of the Clan, and recognizes they are much smarter and wiser than him, a mere kit. Sharpkit also has an sharp sense of morals equally sharp as his intellect, loves rules, and is eager to follow the Warrior Code to the very letter. Once he learns what it is, anyway.

He's more of a follower than a leader, and he's a bit self-conscious of this at first; but later he'll grow to understand that you don't necessarily have to be a leader in order to be invaluable and important to your clan, and will be able to gain confidence in what he does.

the fool represents new beginnings, believing in the universe, and not knowing what to expect.

when he is born, he is a fuzzy dark brown with lighter brown markings ball. immediately, his curiosity is the first trait of his that arises. and then soon follows is gullibility; wolfkit swallows whatever knowledge he can get, whether it is false or truth he struggles to discern. quickly will this prove to be troublesome - especially if his siblings choose to take advantage of this character trait. in addition, he absolutely idealizes his parents, believing they are both the sun and can do no wrong.

as he begins to speak he will struggle with a stutter, often tripping over his words. still! this does not cause him to relent - no - around his kin wolfkit is incredibly talkative, often asking many questions. sure, they may not quite understand him all the time but for the most part he is comfortable talking to them. ,,, even if they may prefer he would cease.

his clanmates are a different case, however. instead he drifts into complete silence, becoming a watchful statute until interacted with. cue prolonged eye contact. social situations are not particularly exciting to him - if he really wants to talk to someone, he can bother one of his siblings or parents. though, he would much rather lay in mud or attempt to escape camp. anyone older to him that he isn't familiar with is a bit spooky and anyone who is his age doesn't have the information wolfkit seeks.

it is in later kithood wolfkit will begin to experience simple motor tics such as head jerking, eye twitching, etc.! they do not particularly bother him besides being a bit irritating/embarrassing at times, generally mild. he'll also start to socialize a little bit more, every so often stepping out of their comfort zone primarily because friends can be useful.

as an apprentice, wolfpaw's need for knowledge grows by tenfold. with easier access outside camp, you best believe he is absolutely relentless in his training. he wants to know everything - climbing, stealth, hunting, battle, herbs, skinning, anything bit they can get their paws on. he'll begin to want to learn the anatomy of their prey, learning the inside and out of them. literally. however, what else grows is wolfpaw's need for approval - especially from their parents. amongst twelve other siblings, the least they want to do is be left behind.

this will lead them pushing himself out of his on comfort zone, beginning to interact with his clanmates and doing whatnot to impress them - even if it means .. exaggerating the truth. you best believe they'll turn their half hour escape into a whole dramatic near-death adventure or tell a little white lie here and there. it'll also kickstart wolfpaw's habit of telling lies, even if they aren't beneficial. its an itch he needs to scratch. still, he keeps his clanmates at a distance. presents a fabricated version of themself, something he'll fine-tune over the moons. whatever benefits them, no matter how taxing it is.

furthermore, sometime in early apprenticehood i like the idea of him falling in with a,, not-so good friend group. they ain't going to be the best of influences! ideas,, pending. but be chaos. i do plan for near the late middle something awful will happen where one of the cats in said friend group will be killed and the rest of the members are indirectly involved in it.

it'll shatter what naivety wolfpaw has due to being awfully close to said friend. he'll feel immense guilt for it, and their friend group will fall apart with his relationships becoming sour. what gullibility he had will eventually transform into paranoia. he expects others to use him and he accepts using others when needed. eat or be eaten.

the guilt will eat at him and he'll become more withdrawn. once more, retreating inside their own head where its safer. they'll stay diligent in their training, perhaps to the point of overworking. they'll also get a sudden growth spurt, and will grow to be a larger than average cat.

i think vaguely wolfpaw will lose one more cat somewhat close to them in some type of battle/something related to them not possessing enough strength. it'll build on his already complicated feelings of inadequacy and it'll cause him to spiral into a deep depression. their paranoia will spread, becoming increasingly irritable and convinced soon he too will die.

this will end up leading to him accidentally making a vague wish about wanting to be stronger since he believes that would've made the difference on whether or not those he lost lived - and that possessing strength would give wolfpaw the approval he seeks. he isn't particularly aware of the fact he's making a wish otherwise they would've simply wished for them back but alas, careful what you wish for you know what they say !

anyway - heavily subject to change depending on what gets approved but essentially wolfpaw will become tied to the cycle of the moon. near the full moon he'll have increasingly heightened abilities, especially strength. his hunger will increase while so does his restless & irritability. he feels less need for sleep and has more energy, often being the most productive around the full moon. though, one needs to be careful. at the full moon wolfpaw will experience a peak of symptoms - though often his memory blurs of what actually happens.

when the new moon is upon wolfpaw it is the complete opposite. he becomes a husk of himself, struggling to leave his nest & having achy, weak bones. it is rare he speaks throughout those days. paranoia follows their every step, often a vague feeling of being watched - judged, and hated. eventually, the symptoms improve as the moon begins to show once more and the cycle repeats.

it'll take a while for wolfpaw to adjust to this of course and i'm excited to explore the possible ways to build off on it.

➔ his stutter will begin to lessen during his apprenticeship, becoming rather rare near the end of it. on the other hand his tics will become more prominent, soon experiencing vocal tics in addition to motor. as he gets older in his apprenticeship they will get a bit more complex, mainly mimicking others. its a bit distressing, but they'll stay at mild-moderate level !
➔ somehow will end up getting his left ear torn off and become hard of hearing in that particular ear

it'll be a gradual development but eventually wolfbane will start to break from old patterns. they'll build a decent routine based on the mooncycle and embrace what genuinely interests him instead of focusing on gaining approval. tentatively, i think wolf will start to lose the idolized version of their parents he built up in his head; recognizing that they are still just cats at the end of the day & don't hang the stars. not say they'll stop respecting them/be less loyal but more aware.

wolfbane will also still be a bit of a compulsive liar but it'll settle into something more benign, often either admitting to it afterwards or it is about incredibly mundane things like their favorite color. this is typically in regards to his on clan though. they have their fun whenever it comes to outsiders & other clanners. he is a man who enjoys his riddles.

similar to their kithood, they'll revert back to socializing on his own terms - though a bit more outgoing. he'll want to have genuine connections but will struggle with paranoia. (which will worsen around the new moon, often having a distrust of mostly everyone.)

wolfbane will stay hardworking & loyal to shadowclan. still, he is always seeking for something more. an unnamed hunger they cannot satisfy. they are always seeking to take advantage of a situation, to make the most of it.

Appearance

Adderkit is a longhaired chocolate braided tabby. She has green eyes, her chest and underbelly is a lighter shade brown. Even as a kit she is larger than average but among her siblings she is one of the smallest. This will change once she is older, her fur will contribute to her size.

Overview:

As a child and throughout her life, her bloodline and honouring it is something extremely important to her! She starts out very family oriented, caring for each and everyone of her littermates. She can sometimes be snarky and rude but tends to do kind gestures more then often. Even as a kit she knows her place in the clan. Daughter to the great Dawnstar, leader of shadowclan. That makes her royalty. That makes her important. More important then the rest of her clanmates, even the older ones. She is a flower child, she loves all kinds and how different each one is. Flowers are also very important to her so if you recieved one as a gift from adderkit it is a great honour.

When she nears the age of an apprentice she learns that in a litter of thirteen she is only one. It is harder to be noticed, harder to impress those around her. She wasn't as important when there were twelve other important cats. Her littermates become her competition, all of them including the remainder she keeps close to her. Through her training she strives to be the best at everything, know everything. Everything is a competition to her, who is the most popular, who is the best hunter, who has gone on the most patrols. All of it! During her apprenticeship she will make a tight group of friends, whether fake or not she needs them to boost her reputation, and who else is going to be her personal yes men. This behaviour will continue into her warrior hood.

born is she, the rose of shadowclan. Adderkit has a very obvious obsession with plants. Mostly flowers. She hold them of high importance, their meanings she will learn. As a kit, she'd often find flowers that resembled her siblings or other cats in the nursery and gift it to them. If her gift wasn't recieved or appreciated well you just got put on her hit list (jk jk). She'd just think of you as dirt after that. She spend most her days admiring the little things, not to bothered with her royalty yet. She never liked fighting, loud noises always hurt her ears, she'd try to be a mediator whenever she could. Her littermates were always something she deeply cared for and she always tried her best to make the happy. She a bright young she cats aspiring to be so much. She lived learning things, helping others, gifting gifts. She was just a little ray of sunshine.....was. (who ever told her she was royalty really messed up tsk tsk)

Her approach to her clanmates change when she learns that she is more important then them. Huh, her? She was like the flowers she held so dear to her heart. Well that was something to learn! Her attitude shifted and her the fire that was her ego was lit. This little she cat had new goals. She no longer needed to dream of being important like the rest of her clanmates becuase infact they'd never be as important as her! She becomes very full of herself, not such a ray of sunshine any longer. Or atleast that's the mask she wears. If she is royalty she must act the part right? It's her duty. She must portray her importance, the importance of her blood line.

she may seem completely awful but deep down, like really really deep down there is still the kindness she once possessed as a kit. It's just- very hard to find.... Beneath all the bravado and cold-hearted Adderkit is in fact only looking to fit in the world. She'll go through so mood swings it will be uncanny, getting to know her will be a pain but it will be worth it I swear-

This is a tale of a kit born to the leader of Shadowclan. Her name was Poisonkit. She was strange, different; A pale spot in the bundle of brown. She had siblings, many; 13, in fact. And she was one who had gone unnoticed. Maybe that wasn't the right word...

At birth she seemed to be weaker than the others, though she is far from weak. She would grow to be slightly larger than average. Underneath her thick fur is a graceful form. She inherited Dawnstar's long claws; Slightly smaller, though. She is a pale brown tabby who has a lighter brown back and underbelly, and she has vivid green eyes.

Perhaps she was named this because her light brown coloring reminded her parents of Poison Oak, one of the many poisonous plants, or [insert venomous snake here]

She is... peculiar. Quiet. Though she has a fierce temper, and a sharp tongue. She's happy for her siblings to strive to be the best; she just wants to be out of the way. She doesn't need Dawnstar to notice her. She's just existing. She's independent. She has a strange... obsession over plants, particularly poisons. Nobody understands why, not even her. She'd often experiment with them on prey, much to the disgust of others.

She knows she has potential. But what to do with it? She's not sure, exactly. She wants to know how she belongs. But she doesn't know. There is also a small part of her that can't help feeling superior. She tries to not let it show, and she often succeeds. But sometimes...

She is calm most of the time, but when there is danger she would readily defend herself and those she cares about, even if she seems distant. She would always have sharp words prepared in the face of insults.

The pressure that comes with having Dawnstar and Slytiger as her parents she chooses to ignore, or at least tries to. Though she has a small indistinguishable part of her that longs to be noticed, to make sure she isn't unwanted.

How she interacts with her siblings depends on what their personality is. She might be closer to the quieter kits, as she is one, and she might not like the bold and loud personalities. She'd get along with them, following them, but she might not enjoy it. Either way she'd be sort of withdrawn, closer to her obsession then her kin.

With her knowledge of herbs and poisons, and anatomy from studying the prey she experiments on, she would make a good assassin; swift and silent, unnoticed. She just doesn't know it yet. She isn't disturbed by gore or death, in fact she is fascinated by it.


Perhaps in some point of her life, Poisonkit would be introduced to the dark forest. She isn't against Starclan, exactly, but she has no proof that they exist. So when the dark forest comes, she might be surprised (though she won't show it).

A dark forest cat could manipulate her into doing things by using her feelings (Like she feels like she doesn't belong but she wants to), and she'd do them willingly, but most likely for her own reasons. She could actually trick her dark forest mentor for them to think that she actually cares or something like that, and if there's something she doesn't want to do, even after doing the other things, she won't do them. The problem with that, though, is because it would be for her own reasons, and she doesn't care about right or wrong. She's capable of all sorts of horrible things without batting an eye.

But then again, who knows? None of that could happen.



Perhaps, in Poisonkit's life, cats will fall for her. She won't care about it. She won't fall in love with any cats in her clan. She would think it didn't matter, perhaps even using them for her own purposes and breaking their hearts.

But maybe, when she is a warrior, she will fall for someone; another clan, or an outsider; And maybe that cat she fell in love with would die, somehow, maybe even by her own sibling, or Dawnstar herself, if they don't approve. If this happens she would hate them, drawing even farther and any sense of kinship she felt would disappear. She would be drawn to the dark forest; whether for the first time or not, who knows.

Maybe, before they die, she would have kits. She would not care for them much, being hard on them. She would just think of her former mate whenever she saw them.

But then again, who knows? None of that could happen.


Perhaps she would run away for some reason, to another clan or to become a rogue. Maybe she would create her own outsider group to take vengeance on the clans. Did something wrong her? Perhaps. Life, death, life death, to renew the cycle again. She could end in a multitude of ways; accidentally poisoning herself, murdering herself on purpose, someone murdering her for an inexplicable reason... Yet.

When she dies, she may be reincarnated into another life. Or just ressurected, but we don't know that.


This is just a mere glimpse into what her future may hold. Anything could happen. She has potential, that's for sure, whether it be for good or for bad. Her spirit wishes to be born into this life as the daughter of Dawnstar and Slytiger. It is your choice whether to accept... Or not.

What stands before you is the slightly larger than normal kit, which is a light shade of brown with mackerel tabby markings with a bit of low white and deep amber eyes, and is long-haired. Determined | As Stormkit comes to realization regarding his role as a direct son of not only Slytiger but also Dawnstar of all cats, as well as how things work in the clans, he suddenly feel a lot more pressure put on to him. While he doesn't want said pressure to swallow him whole, he still doesn't want to be a failure to anyone, and especially not his own clan. He wants to be someone that'll make a lasting impact (the good kind I promise) and be remembered because of it. His potential could be limitless for all he knew. And he knew was going to make use of that one way or another.

Energetic/Adventurous | Putting these two together. He’s always looking out for a new challenge. Life’s all about challenges, right? He’s slightly restless in his sleep, and constantly tries to find things he could fill his paws with. Something exciting. He’ll be a more bouncy and lively kit, one that won’t exactly stay in one spot for more than 5 seconds. He likes things he never saw or did before, and rather dislikes being confined to a small space.

Roankit's something else. That's clear from the second her jaws part and words come out. Cunning, Flirty, Bold, and Fearless, Roan is a mixture that doesn't make sense. One moment she's flirting and toying with your emotions, the next her claws are at your throat. As one of 13 kittens, Roan is constantly working to be the golden child. With a Silver Tongue and a voice like a Lyrebird's Lullaby, Roankit is almost impossible to understand at times, her mood constantly changing and swinging from smooth and flirty to hot-headed and sharp-tongued. In a moment, you can trust her with anything personal. In the next she'll use it against it you.

As an apprentice, Roanpaw will begin flirting with toms for the fun of it, even though she's a lesbian at heart. She adores the attention, and is 100% an attention seeker when it comes to toms. She loves toying with their heartstrings, reeling them in and crushing their hearts like an American soccer ball run over by a monster truck. Her love of these games could get her hurt in the future, but of course Roanpaw thinks it's worth it. Any chance she gets Roan will go full throttle flirting mode, using pickup lines and just general flirtatious actions. As soon as they have interest in her, she takes advantage of them until she no longer needs them, and then Roanpaw breaks their soppy hearts and moves on to her next victim. In her clan or at a gathering, it doesn't matter.

Toward her siblings and parents, The Hollow Heartbreaker will be feisty, playful, fearless, and a troublemaker. Anything for attention. She feels like if she doesn't do these things nobody will notice her and She'll be forgotten, lost among the absolute army of her siblings. Roan will be supporting and teasing toward them, Messing with her littermates about their likes and dislikes. She will probably grow close to the weaker of the 13, seeing them as a helpless being in need of protection. Toward her parents, Roankit will see them as important figures in the clan, and the cats she must impress. She will constantly try to show she has talent and leadership ability, trying hard to see herself worthy of the time and attention.

Despite her... interesting tendencies, Roan has relatively good people skills and sees herself as the mature one. And in some ways, she is. Although she never will outgrow her flirtatious nature. She tends to use her Silver Tongue to get herself out of sticky situations. Often if one of her friends or siblings are in trouble, she steps in and attempts to smooth things out, and whether it works or not is a 50/50 chance. She also tends to tag along on adventures and claim she is just trying to keep them safe... even though she is quite troublesome.

On the topic of genetics, Roankit will inherit her Mothers and Grandmothers IED, also known as Intermittent Explosive Disorder, which makes it extra difficult for her to keep her cool when around cats who don't understand things. Roankit will grow to a whopping height of 11 inches tall at the head. Her pelt is deep brown, and she has white only on her face in minimal splotches. Her underbelly is very pale brown however. Roan’s eyes are hazel, so basically she’s very brown-ish. She’s a mist marble tabby (variation of classic tabby) with medium length fur and a shorter than average tail.

Conditions: Weaselkit was sick from birth and noticeably smaller than most of her siblings. It wasn't clear if she'd make it. Thankfully, she did! However, she is still prone to sickness. On top of that, she has low energy and is overall talentless when it comes to anything physical like hunting of fighting. Truly a physically weak cat.

Personality: True to her name, Weaselkit is clever and sly, with a good understanding of the feline mind and how to influence it. She's amiable, though often hides her true feelings. she's not great at relaxing, especially with others around. Weaselkit starts out eager to please, and tries very hard. As she grown, she will discover the mantra "work smart, not hard" and utilize it, finding ways to get what she wants through guile and trickery. Deep down, she craves attention. As a runt in a litter of 13 she is likely not to get a lot of one-on-one family time and that bothers her. She'll probably develop a tricky and rebellious personality and begin antagonizing people to get attention. She starts out insecure of her weaknesses but later accepts them and simply starts finding ways to work around them or use them to her advantage.

Plot Ideas: Weaselkit will probably mesh with Slytiger better than Dawn and latch onto him as her favourite parent in her youth. She's going to start out reserved, but develop a rebellious personality, specifically to push Dawn's buttons. She can't get her attention by being good at warrior stuff so she's decided to get her attention by being a misbehaving teenager. It'll be lots of fun thinking of smart ways for Weasel to win games and do warrior duties despite being so weak.

Future Purrk Ideas: Mind Reader perhaps to show off her insightful nature. She's likely gonna have the max number of purrks to compensate for her weak physicality. Perhaps Flock Together.

A tom of few words, Scorpion is a child of Dawnstar. Now he may be quiet, but that doesn't mean he isn't interesting... does it?

Let's get to the good stuff!

PERSONALITY
Scorpion is a rather quiet and closed off tom, even as a kitten. He's rather be alone or around one of his parents than with his siblings. He isn't opposed to being with them, but he's just more inteoverted is all. He does have a bit of a tongue and is prone to episodes of rage and anger.

As he grows up, however, he will realize how much he loves to fight for his clan and become a bit more bloodthirsty. He won't go as far to kill his own clan or anything, but he's definitely going to become more eager to please his parents and more open with his siblings, though very quiet still and have even more of a mouth on him.

PLOTLINES
As I sit here and think of plotlines, I can think of a few. Meeting his family in the dark forest or starclan, perhaps killing a loner or two in fits of rage, etc.

It's not entirely fleshed out yet, but as time goes on, I will have MUCH planned for this little guy.

Our kit here, [Name], is quite the little liar and smooth talker. Picking fights and being a little bother to any cat she can hook her claws and attention onto. She knows damn well how powerful her mother, the Clan's LEADER is, and she uses it to her advantage. And why shouldn't she? Why else would Starclan plant her in this position? To be just another molly destined to provide kits for her clan? Never. The thought of being 'in love' with somecat and the possibility of having whining, loud, pitiful kits made little Chaos here gag and want to claw her head apart so she couldn't think of it ever again. Even with her entitledness, she does care for her family and her clan, no matter how rude, chaotic, or hurtful, she really does care.

A single eye of molten gold comes into focus through a tangle of thorny vines, slitted pupil flicking between each curved hook. The eye flicks down without blinking, comparing a single hooked claw to the thorns in front of it. The feline makes a decision, reaching into the twisted vines without concern for the barbs catching on her striped chocolate foreleg. The scent of blood hits her nose, and almost in temptation a pink tongue comes out to lick her maw. Later. Ever since she had become able to eat solid prey, she had developed a taste for fresh blood. Much like their writer has a taste for strawberry cheesecake ice cream.

Which was exactly what this was for. The kit sliced off a curling vine, gently clamping her teeth around a smooth portion of it and dragging it across camp. She stuck to the edges off the shadows, following her Mother's pawsteps and becoming one with the shadows like expected of her. The apprentice den rose above her, but the older, massive kit could clear the height with no problem. The vine trailed behind her, snagging on the bark of the rotted stump and tugging her back. She grinned around the thin vine, ripping it off the bark with a delicious tearing sound. That's how she knew this was going to do good damage.

The kit slipped inside the den without issue. While being stuck inside of camp was regrettable, at least being unable to leave with the rest of the apprentices--which she had tried. Many times.--meant that turning peak training hours, she could get in and out of the apprentice den without being noticed. Her target's nest lay empty, as expected. The oaf was off training, not that that would do them any good.

The kit slid into the nest, carefully turning so she could coil the thorny vine within the moss and stick nest. Her forearm stung from where it had scraped her, and her paw pads twinged any time she accidentally stepped on a thorn. But a short while of circling later, it was done.

Emerging from the den, Emberkit sought out the familiar pelt of her sibling. Hopefully their bully problem would be solved now... but she could always get more thorns.

Sunlight streamed through the forest canopy, lightning the mossy clearing in a soft golden glow. A small blackbird sat unaware in a patch of grass, tugging insistently at a blade of grass. Sunlight gleamed through its feathers, reflecting onto pools of gold that watched every twitch of a feather, every blink of the blackbird's beady little eyes.

Dappled shadows fell across a soft, plush pelt and cast her mackerel stripes in stark relief of the lighter parts of her fur. A beam of sunlight trickled into her eye, and the apprentice hissed in frustration and pain. The blackbird jerked up, a warning call primed in its throat that was silenced with a clean slit through the neck.

In the aftermath, a single black feather drifted onto a dark brown paw, earning a cool look from the apprentice attached to it. Blooded claws pierced the barbed stem, bringing it up to her face to study it intensely. A hum of displeasure rumbled through her muscular body. A vein was broken, making the feather lopsided and ragged-looking.

Not good enough.

Emberpaw discarded the disappointment of a catch with the others, striding back into the bushes surrounding the clearing and searching for another test subject. She would deplete this entire forest of prey if it meant getting Mother the perfect offering. Her mentor's stern words fell on deaf ears. She knew what she was doing. Mother's will superseded all others, and Emberpaw was not going to let her down. She had asked for a gift from her first hunting lesson, and she was going to get one.

So what if it wasn't from her first catch? She would rather it was beautiful. It would represent her and her love for her Mother. It would be perfect.

Once again, her siblings seemed intent on ruining their status and name. Emberpaw followed behind her sibling, keeping to the shadows and downwind so she wouldn't be heard. Always protecting her siblings from the consequences of their actions. What was a big sister's duty if not to clean up the messes her younger siblings created? She couldn't afford to let anything mar the reputation of her or her family.

As they got closer to the border, Emberpaw began to get a little concerned. Were they meeting someone under the cover of darkness? Were they running away? Emberpaw couldn't affort to let them get too far otherwise they would be lost forever. "Love," she called out, closing the distance between them. Her sibling flinched, but almost seemed grateful to see her. "Dearest one, what troubles you?" She asked, voice strained as she noticed their tears glimmering in the moonlight. "Who did this?"

An explanation was given, one that had her tail lashing hatefully behind her. Cruelty from another... snarled words and threatening gestures. Jealousy at their life, at their kin. Emberpaw felt her heart thrum with adrenaline. Her sibling's sobbed question rang through her head, causing Emberpaw to start.

"No, darling." Emberpaw murmured, nosing into her sibling's tear-stained cheek. "Nothing is wrong with you. Don't cry. You are perfect." Her gaze focused on a spot distant over their shoulder, the sisterly instinct hardening into something vengeful and cold. "I'll take care of everything. Don't you worry."

"Count yourself lucky that a shredded ear is all you will get out of this confrontation." Emberpaw murmured, eyes glowing with barely contained rage. "The next time you and I come face to face..." She let her words trail off. The message was clear.

Next time, one of them would not be walking away alive. And she knew who it would be.

The other apprentice whimpered in fear, sending a thrill of satisfaction through Emberpaw’s chest. Good. The fear in their eyes were exactly what she wanted to see. Emberpaw stalked away, tail lashing behind her. No matter what it took, no matter how many cats she had to cut through, her siblings would grow up happy and unbothered by the cruelty of the clan around her.

It had taken a little convincing, but eventually she had been allowed to run a small training group where apprentices were able to share moves with each other under the supervision of older warriors. She enjoyed the collaborative nature of the event, and was pleased to see everyone getting along and sharing ideas.

A yelp rang trhough the clearing, and Emberpaw’s head whipped to face it. An apprentice was on the ground, wincing and holding their paw close to their chest. Emberpaw crossed the distance between them, noting another apprentice--presumably their opponent--standing on the sidelines, looking stricken. An accident.

"I-I didn't mean to!" They cried, their whining voice irritating Emberpaw’s sensitive ears. "I tried that lunging move you showed us, but they moved and--"


Emberpaw stared down at her opponent for a moment longer before carefully bending down and nudging them up. "Next time, block with your shoulder instead of your leg." She meowed, her sharp gaze softening to that of a peer. "Just like we talked about. Take a break, make sure your leg isn't hurt, then try again. Don't give up."

It was incredibly important to her that the apprentices of this clan were trained efficiently. They couldn't be the strongest clan in the forest if the younger generation was full of weaklings. As the daughter of the Death Queen and her cunning consort, it was her duty to ensure their legacy lived on.

If Emberpaw had her way, the entirety of ShadowClan would be perfect for her Mother and Father. They would never be let down again.

Bear: Fur colour and a hope for him to grow into a large, strong cat.

Hemlock is sharp-witted and intelligent, a natural schemer and planner. She knows how to read her surroundings, both in social and battle settings. This makes her a formidable opponent in combat and a difficult individual to argue with. She seems to know everything and everyone, and her sweet demeanor makes it hard to notice any underlying intentions. Many tend to underestimate her due to her caring nature, giving her an advantage that she tends to use to its fullest extent.

As a kit, it will soon become obvious that Hemlock is a watcher. She interacts gently with her siblings when the opportunity is presented, but for the most part seems content observing their activities. Her first sign of a manipulative nature might present itself if one of her littermates were to annoy her, and she could hold a piece of information over their head as a warning. However, she does care for her family and the clan as a whole; she simply prefers to be in control of her own life. And that often means controlling those around her.

Hemlock has a dual nature, one that she presents for the world to see and another that resides beneath. Her loving personality, although not untrue, conceals a much more deceitful and cunning side. She guards this identity close to her heart, only sharing it with those she is closest to...or those who are about to suffer the consequences of her darker side. Her secretive nature makes it difficult for others to truly know her, but then again they usually never find out what they're missing out on. And besides, they probably wouldn't want to.

I could see Hemlock having a mixed dynamic with her siblings. With some she would be on good terms with, and they would only be in contact with her loving persona. With others she would truly be close to them, and they might even work together to put her skills to use. And a couple of them would have a sour relationship with her, perhaps stemming from disputes where they suffered a glimpse of her darker nature.

Hemlock keeps her friends close, and her enemies closer. She constantly keeps track of the movements of those around her: physical, verbal, mental, and more. She files this information away in her mind, creating detailed profiles and opinions on everyone she meets. Of course, she never expresses any negative views on these individuals to their face, or even behind their backs. But if she deems it necessary to address an offender, she will not hesitate to draw them in just long enough to bring them down.

As she grows older, Hemlock might have several lovers, learning from her mother that it isn't necessary to settle for one. However, due to her apparent disposition, this could lead to the accidental (or purposeful) leading on of a few individuals. It might be interesting to explore some sort of plot where she has two secret mates that know each other and discover their mutual ties to Hemlock, causing turbulence.

Although no one could say that Hemlock lacks skill or intelligence as a member of the clan, she is by no means perfect, and of this fact she is painfully aware. She appears confident and poised, but underneath cannot stop comparing herself to those around her. She strives to outshine her siblings and fellow clanmates, and her jealousy is often what hinders her from doing just that. she struggles to find her true purpose and ambition, as she is too caught up in petty clutches of perfection and vengeance.

From a young age Hemlock will likely attempt to subtly put herself in the spotlight by performing "selfless" deeds or trying to come across as the most well-behaved child. However, these facades are not her true self and she will continuously feel frustration that her siblings have natural talents while she has to pretend. Eventually, she will learn to embrace this acting gift of hers, recognizing it as a talent in and of itself.

Although the path of a medicine cat holds little appeal to her, Hemlock has a fascination with herbs, especially flowers. She admires their beauty and multitude of uses, resonating with their duality of nature. Her favorite is of course her namesake, but she also enjoys roses, dandelion, poppies, and fruit blossoms. She tends to decorate her nests with these flowers, regularly changing them out when they die.

I chose hemlock as her namesake because of her two personalities and affinity for herbs and plants. I especially like it compared to other poisonous flowers because of its white blossom, which might resemble the white blaze on her chest. However, if she is selected and Dawn/Tiger dislike the name, the alternates I listed are also great. They are also toxic plants and they are all partially green, like her eyes.

{The reason behind "Hawthorn" is because the berries on a hawthorn bush are poisonous. I thought it might be a good idea to have my character's name be that, as it refers to the poison being some sort of "defense" or a strength. The other two are options based on Poison Ivy and Poison Oak. The poison theme is simply just to refer back to "strength." The symbolism behind Hawthorn can be optimism, so I thought it might be interesting for Hawthorn's character arc to reflect that. As it doesn't refer anywhere to his personality, but rather that he was given a second chance, as he does for others.}

Overview:

Hawthorn is a slightly manipulative cat with an incorrect moral compass. He can't easily tell right from wrong and ends up in tricky situations because of it. His one weakness is how forgiving he is. He likes to give every cat a second chance even when they aren't deserving of it. He is also a critical thinker, and is very goal-orientated. He's also very analytical, though blind-sighted as well. If a cat hasn't wronged him, why should he dislike them? His whole purpose is trying to figure out what's morally correct. Though, later, he realizes that wasn't it at all.




Detailed:


PositivesHe's quick to forgive cats that have wronged him in the past. This can be seen as a "weakness" but to him he just likes giving cats second chances. It doesn't feed his ego, or even make him happy at times. It just feels like the right thing to do. And that's very, very important to him. Hawthorn often thinks ahead, trying to think of solutions to a problem that has just started. He's also extremely goal-orientated and comes up with plans constantly to complete them. He often thinks before he acts and has a strong sense of responsibility.


NeutralsHe's more likely to follow his head than his heart, unless it's a cat he's at mutually good odds with. Then he'll often do a "trade-off" type thing. Like a "I'll do this for you but you'll need to do something for me." This is neither a good nor bad thing. He can be easily influenced into thinking something is morally correct or incorrect. Though he still has his own opinions, they can still be easily influenced. He's also often prone to manipulation and can practically be molded either way.


NegativesHawthorn will believe cats that haven't wronged him. Or he'll be completely blind to something they're doing if he believes it's for the greater good. It's less extreme, like if a cat up and murders another, he won't side with them. He's not like the "evil mastermind" type of cat but he'll occasionally meddle with cats to get his way. It's not something he does often, and he typically tries to find other morally correct ways.

Hawthorn is a less extreme version. He really wants what's best for the clan (when he's a warrior), and he doesn't go for extremes when doing it. He knows when they've actually been wronged, and when it was a much needed right.

Views: They develop slowly over time as he overcomes his morally grey attribute, but his views are on the better side. He wants nothing but the best for his clan and becomes a loyal and devoted warrior to ShadowClan, finding many cats along the way to help him. His whole motivation was to help his clan, though his ways showed less empathy and care. Through his character arc he's constantly questioning his moral stand point. And the cats in his life are crucial, as he's easily influenced by their morals and actions, whatever they say as well. His views are developed on ideas he might've had, but ultimately were shaped by other cats.


Fear(s)

Xenophobia; the fear of the unknown. Hawthorn hates when he isn't in the know, or when he lacks proper control. He doesn't like the fact that he doesn't get to decide what happens because of one variable. It sickens him to his core.

She's cocky and a little bit of a trouble maker. Chirp is the kind of kit who thinks of herself as immortal. She's always trying to figure out sneaky ways of breaking rules or getting what she wants. When she's caught she tries to talk her way out of things, at this point she's just whiny, but she's always thinking. She takes every loss to heart and tries her best to fit her failures into a better way to break the rules next time.

When she's not breaking the rules she's out making friends. She's very social and talkative. She'll tell any cat who listens her whole life story and then some! She'd be adorable if she wasn't always planning her next "daring adventure"!

I want her to grow into her smarts. She's always analyzing things and trying to figure out the best ways to either help herself or her clan out. Usually herself, but Shadowclan fits in there too. Upon first meeting Venomkit, you'd assume she was quiet. Something about her gives off the reserved, doesn't like to be talked to type but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Once she opens her mouth, it's hard to get her to shut up. She loves a bit of chit chat and her charismatic attitude is something that lures cats in and she can be quite humorous when she wants to be. She's a smooth talker with a charming personality and splash of mischief to her. Being a trickster is something that will become very apparent upon getting to know her. She loves playing pranks and joking about but sometimes she can come across as a bit immature and a lot apathetic. Her actions aren't thought through and consequences aren't considered. She would do something really hurtful and just shrug it off and call you over sensitive. Oh, and once you get on her bad side she'll destroy your social reputation and steal away the cats close to you one by one. She holds grudges.

Venom actively seeks danger. She's easily bored and only feels content if she gets an adrenaline rush by doing something life risking. She has litte regard for her or others lives and won't pay much thought to what she's doing or what bad things could happen. She just wants to have fun! Venom also is extremely prideful and arrogant and takes her achievements very seriously no matter how small. She would never admit she's wrong even if her life depended on it, it would jut be too shameful for her. Besides, she's ambitious so she can't have her reputation ruined. She isn't intrested in becoming leader or anything more like being the best at everything. If someone's better at something than her, she'll spend all her time working as hard as she can to become even better. Determination is something she has plently of.

Though she may seem like an idiot sometimes, Venom is pretty clever. She learns things quickly and is creative and adaptive when it comes to finding solution to problems, often using the enviroment to her advantage. She's good at getting information out of cats as well, either with words or by force: she doesn't mind getting her claws dirty. When she's older, she'll use her skills to benefit Shadowclan, becoming a sort of mercenary and making contracts with mostly outsiders to gain information or resources as long as it isn't harmful to Shadowclan. Is also quite deceptive and puts on a facade of being an open book but actually hardly shares anything and has a tendency to lie. It just comes naturally for her. Anything she says could be a lie.

Venom, as previously mentioned, has little regard for her and others' lives. They are simply experiences and she can come back, right? Afterall, why can't she bargain with death? Others may not be so lucky...but as long as her hirer thinks they're gone there's no problem! She has no fear that they will come back to get pay back since it was nothing personal, if anything the only ones to get revenge on are the ones who made the contract!

Outsiders(Kittypets, Loners, Rogues, ect...): A moon's worth of prey of an amount of beneficial information for Shadowclan. (Outsiders are just nobodies! They have not the abilities or kin to stand up for themselves and they don't provide for anyone except themselves! Venom doesn't take them seriously and will kill them without a second thought. Even if she may participate in brief conversations with them, it's not like they're worth befriending.)

Clancat(outside Shadowclan): 6 moons worth of prey or a large amount of beneficial information for Shadowclan(perhaps becoming spies) Aren't the others clans so cute! Still, bothersome to her clan. More often then not Venom tolerates them but is mostly anti any clan not Shadowclan. They are her main victims or manipulation and she will be more careful when executing a clan cat. Wouldn't want the rest of their smelly clan involved!)

With the patience of a saint and the temper of an ice tundra introducing Ospreykit your friendly girl next door always willing to lend a helping paw towards clan mates! You'll often see her hanging out with her small group of minions friends! They are all so nice and always make sure to give others passing compliments! Overall a nice kitty who cares about the well-being of her clan!

But she's a little more complicated than that it took her months of watching and waiting as a kit to build a perfect persona to go out into society with it. Watching from her favorite spot (her mother's den) she would take note of the different interactions that happened within the clan. After careful calculations, she determined a kind-hearted persona was best to interact with others especially outside of the clan.

Who is she underneath the mask tho? She doesn't know she just hopes the facade will melt into her naturally and then it wouldn't feel so fake anymore. However there are a couple of things she knows for certain in her life.

- People watching is her favorite activity. She could spend hours just watching others interacting or just finding out their favorite piece of prey. All of this information is filed away into her mind and she usually doesn't feel the need to use it.

- Loyalty to her family, then her clan. Her family are some of the only people who she believes she can relax around and just stare off. Kindness and loyalty were for clanmates ruthlessness was left for outsiders.

- Ospreykit doesn't see the point of being exceptional at first but once she gets praised for the first time she feels a fire light in her. She is extremely praise-motivated she isn't one for ranks or whatnot but tell her she did good and she'll be smiling for days.

- Now she aims to live the perfect life, become a fantastic warrior and help her clan grow and develop!
