sleep is a scarce reprieve for grousepaw. the day after the meeting had been long- no fault of anyone else's, but when sleep finally came, he leaned into it. in his own nest no less, cradled in the safety of the apprentice's den. like usual, a dream sprawled out before him. lucid and quite and peaceful.
grousepaw was a simple cat, all she wanted was to feel the sunlight warmly beam through pine needles on her mottled fur as she explored the rolling evergreen forests. in this dream, they were unburdened of the limitations of a clan, freely roaming the world with wide amber eyes and a toothy grin, paws landing solidly with each bound and leap, racing through the forest. eventually, the tree-line broke into a clearing painted in the sunlight, and grousepaw drew to a slow walk, angling his head down to survey the area in silent reverie.
