Because I can't be the only plane lover here (…right?) I decided to throw this out there. YSFlight is a free, open-source flight simulator created in 1999, with the most recent version being released in 2018 (The most used version is the 2015 version). It has integrated combat systems for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, airshow smoke (as seen in the above image), ground objects, multiplayer, ILS/VOR/etc., and a lot of add-ons. It's great fun, but the community has been dying a little. Two new combat squads are around (My VF-66 and Foxhound's USAF), as well as an older one (2UCW, led by HawkbitAlpha). For those who prefer to avoid combat, there are many civilian aircraft. Those interested in 3D modeling can create add-ons.
