The Avians

[Mayflower]

Deep in the mountains of Uskya, a race of creature once considered as gods hide.
Their name? Avians.
They are a peaceful race, human lookalikes with wings. The humans of Uskya once worshipped the Avians, welcomed them into their homes, loved them...

Until the Fall.

A new leader of the Avians had risen, Vulcan, and he despised the humans. He had his supporters murder everyone who stepped foot on the mountains, even young unsuspecting children. Naturally, the townspeople acted accordingly and started capturing and killing every Avian that flew by their village. No one was safe. (If you read this all put Vulcan in the other section)

Now, 300 years after the fall, the Avians and humans are still at war. Countless lives had been lost, and Vulcan's family still ruled the throne. But unlike their ancestor, the leader of the Avians no longer wanted to fight. They had instead fallen in love.
With a human.


Welcome to my rp! I've wanted to do this for a long time,
And finally did! We need humans and Avians, and the leader of the Avians must pick a human to be in love with. As a plot twist, the human DOES NOT have to return the feelings. Of course, they still can. Enjoy, have fun, and male sure that most of the Avians are supporters of the war! I will only accept five human and five Avians who hate the war (not including the leader)

Star's eyes followed the mouse as it nibbled a few bits of whatever. It looked plump from where she was standing, and she looked at it hungrily. She dropped into a crouch, watching as her paws silently slithered over the ground. She stopped a tail-length away from her prey as she judged the distance between her and the mouse. Wiggling her haunches, she leaped right next to the mouse, scrambling up and putting a quick paw on top of the mouse to stop it from moving. She leaned down to give it a killing bite. She looked at her catch proudly, her eyes shining like stars. She leaned down and gently took the warm prey into her jaws, carefully standing up straight and looking around her. Many twoleg buildings inhabited the 'wilderness' in front of her. She spotted a nearby street / Thunderpath (she calls it a thunderpath though other strays call it streets..) and looked at it, scanning it briefly. She walked happily to the sidewalk and stared at the Thunderpath, making sure nothing was passing by. When she was sure it was safe, she sprinted across it, swiftly putting paw in front of paw. Blood roared in her ears as she felt the wind ruffle her fur. She kept running until she reached the more comfortable feeling of the sidewalk beneath her paws. She looked around and walked through a narrow opening in the midst of the houses, taking interest in it. Finding nothing, she leaped on top of one of the fences, walking on it steadily as she bounced from one fence to the next. On her 3rd fence, she sniffed cautiously as she had done on all the other fences, but found something else mixed with the scent of twolegs. A cat? She sniffed once more, thinking she had imagined the smell, but only smelled the same things. "I wonder which cat passed this way. I don't often find cats, but maybe that's because I stay to the other side of the twoleg place." She murmered to herself. She sniffed around, having taken an interest in whatever the smell would lead her to. She followed it, curious, and stopped dead in her tracks as she spotted cats a few fox-lengths away. Would they attack her when they found out she was here, or would she be safe? She didn't want to find out. She wasn't fit for a fight; she was scrawny and a bit tired. Her mouse had been a lucky find and a lucky catch. She crawled backwards a bit. Leaping off the fence in hopes to get away. She jumped as she heard a random twig crack loudly beneath her paws. Oh no. I'm in for some trouble. She thought to herself, sighing with dread.

Otto stared at Aiden, his neck fur bristling, and for just a moment, he growled quietly, then ducked his head and accepted the rabbit eagerly, although careful not to make any contact with Aiden as he did, and he was tensed in case the human tried to touch him. Relief washed over him as Aiden closed the door, and the massive black dog bit into the rabbit, hearing the crunch of bones under the pressure he applied. He gave a satisfied swish of his tail and set to work devouring the creature quickly and easily.

He finished up the rabbit, swiping his tongue over his maw, blood staining his teeth and soaking the fur around his mouth. He had eaten the entire rabbit save the head, and that he had dropped in the bowl of rejected pellets. He liked bones, the way they tasted and how they cracked and shattered in his mouth. It was very satisfying feeling and noise, and he missed it. Otto looked up and saw that Kaai too was getting an animal, although a chicken, not a rabbit. The massive dog blinked, noticing the obvious change in the pup's behavior, how much more like a dog he was behaving. Otto wasn't sure what to think of Kaai, but he was none too sure of Cassidy and Gracie either, so it wasn't anything unusual, especially for the wolfhound, as he had little trust for anyone anymore, especially human lovers and the like. But he was unsure of the hybrid dog for an entirely different and rather unknown reason.

She was dragging the deer to her brother who smiled and took it from her-he carried it with ease. She then gave him her spear. So it looked like he had caught and killed it.

Oro headed towards the beach. " pilikea stop!" She giggled as her monkey went through her hair. She smelled the salt air and the breeze ran through her hair. Soon she felt the water hit against her stomach. Where her tattoo monkeys tail was. Her Monkey tattoo started on her shoulder but it's tail went down to her stomach and curled around it. The tail stopped at her lower back-right where her skirt started. Equinox wanna run into her?

Deep in the mountains of Uskya, a race of creature once considered as gods hide.
Their name? Avians.
They are a peaceful race, human lookalikes with wings. The humans of Uskya once worshipped the Avians, welcomed them into their homes, loved them...

Until the Fall.

A new leader of the Avians had risen, Vulcan, and he despised the humans. He had his supporters murder everyone who stepped foot on the mountains, even young unsuspecting children. Naturally, the townspeople acted accordingly and started capturing and killing every Avian that flew by their village. No one was safe. (If you read this all put Vulcan in the other section)

Now, 300 years after the fall, the Avians and humans are still at war. Countless lives had been lost, and Vulcan's family still ruled the throne. But unlike their ancestor, the leader of the Avians no longer wanted to fight. They had instead fallen in love.
With a human.

The rebel's were holding a meeting; she couldn't be late, or caught, because if she was caught, she would end up being late, and she most likely wouldn't have a chance to apologize for it.

Breathing softly, the girl crept Vulcan's right hand's door. Something was on the ground; it was too shadowy to see what it was exactly, but she tripped, and fumbled her weapon. She reached out to grab it, and it bounced off and cut her palm before she grabbed the handle between her index finger and thumb. She let out a sigh, blowing her long hair slightly, and continued on her way.
Most likely it won't be this long everytime :3 this is just what my starter post will look like

A blonde flash of hair was seen through the forest. Followed by many footsteps. 'Nononononononononono!' the human thought. She had been caught on the Avian mountain. She was just going to bring a peace offering! Wel. Now that she thought about it-she was extremely stoopid (yep I spelled it like that for a reason). She tripped and fell. She tried to get her bow but then stopped-she didn't want to use it. She scrambled into a bush and stayed there covering her mouth trying to make her fast breaths silent.

Sage flew the skies. He just wanted to stretch his wings. And feel the wind through his hair before he went patrolling again.

Sierra tucked her dark red hair behind her neck, opening her wings a bit just to have them feel the wind. She opened her black wings to their full length and leaped off of the ledge she had been standing on. Her red hair floated in the wind around her head, the sun making it look lighter than it was.

Carlos sat down on a rock, tying his right shoe. His brown eyes were focused on the area around him, just in case something happened.

Desyree flew high above the trees, scanning the mountain for humans. She had to reach them before the soldiers did. Then she saw a quick flash of gold in the forest and the faint sound of footsteps. Intrigued, the tall girl swooped down in between the trees and landed, searching for the human. "Hello?" Desyree's powerful voice echoed, giving the impression she was hostile. "I promise not to hurt you."

Sierra tucked her dark red hair behind her neck, opening her wings a bit just to have them feel the wind. She opened her black wings to their full length and leaped off of the ledge she had been standing on. Her red hair floated in the wind around her head, the sun making it look lighter than it was.

Carlos sat down on a rock, tying his right shoe. His brown eyes were focused on the area around him, just in case something happened.

Vulcan had been raised like his ancestors to be a bloodthirsty leader capable of destroying the humans... but Vulcan knew that deep in his heart, all that he wanted was peace. Sitting atop this lonely mountain, the wind running through his feathers, Vulcan watched the land below him. He could see a few of his subjects flying through the air, enjoying the crisp morning air. Another few were conversing with humans, the rebels catching Vulcan's eyes. He knew that he had some in his ranks that despised the war like he did- in fact, he was certain that Peter, his young servant, would be a rebel if Peter felt like he was brave enough to do so. Vulcan smiled to himself, watching them carefully. Perhaps one of them would rise up to kill him, the Avian named after his bloodthirsty ancestor, and take his place to begin an era of peace with the humans. But until that day could come, Vulcan would have to play the part of the human-hating monster that his parents had raised him to be.

Spreading out his wings ever so slightly, Vulcan spotted a young woman walking down the mountain, on the Human's territory. Her black hair spun through the wind, and her blue eyes seemed to catch the light beautifully. The lack of wings didn't matter to Vulcan, as he snapped out his wings and began his decent towards the young lady. Something about this human called to him, and his heart gladly answered the call.

Lucifer's cold eyes landed on the form of a dying Avian, lying at his feet. Flicking out his sword, he bent down and grabbed the beast's wings, slicing them off with a swing of his mighty blade. His black hair rustled through the wind as he lifted up his new prize, a pair of beautiful auburn colored wings with the occasional white feather speckled through them. He gazed at the female lying at his feet with distaste, his eyes devoid of any emotion. Setting his prize on the ground beside him, he lifted up her head gently, staring into her eyes as the light slowly began to leave them. "You filthy winged beasts," He spoke softly, running a hand down the side of her face and wiping her tears away. "Your kind slaughtered my children and my wife without a thought. Your kind has killed and killed, tearing families apart and forcing others to step into their place to slaughter you." He leaned slightly closer, his hands tearing at the Avian's blonde hair, gazing into her eyes. "With every Avian I kill, I come closer and closer to the one who killed my family. I come closer to Vulcan, the filthy man who calls himself a leader. Warn him of my coming, Avian." He finished his words and began treating her wounds, wrapping her up with bandages and allowing her to stand up. In terror, the woman fled back towards the mountain, her wings gone and her mind scarred.

Landing on a nearby tree, Lumina's eyes focused on nothing in particular, her pink hair twirling through the wind and catching in the branches of the tree she was perched in. Her pink and black styled clothing matched her black and white wings, a perfect blend of contrasting colors. Tugging on an earring set into her left ear, taken from her mother's corpse before her burial, Lumina gazed into the sky with a blank expression, unaware of the danger lurking beneath her. Unaware of the hunter who would capture her, and her heart.

Kai nodded, fingering the strap of his quiver, but careful not to make it look like he might draw his bow. Fox narrowed his eyes, crouching beneath some overgrown bushes. Red berries were scattered along the ground as he pulled out his dart gun, quietly lifting it up and sliding his finger onto the trigger. As he added pressure to the trigger, a feathered dart quickly shot out and embedded itself in Lumina's arm. He ducked behind the bushes, pressing his body against the ground as he pulled out a potato sack to carry her in.

Feeling a slight pinch in her arm, Lumina glanced over to spot a red feathered dart stuck in her arm. Already feeling the effects of the tranquilizer, the seventeen-year-old avian struggled to lift into the air with her slowly numbing wings, only for her to tumble towards the ground and crash into the bushes with the snap of one of her wings signalling that it was broken. Weak and with blurry vision, Lumina barely managed to spot the man who had taken her down before she blacked out.

Sasuke was sitting around observing lucifer from afar. He smiles softly as his wings flapped a bit. His eyes glowed dangerously as he begins to stand up. " lucifer! My dear friend still angry and as cute as always!" He yells playfully this was such a normal thing between lucifer and Sasuke sworn enemies that Sasuke sees as pure fun.

Lucifer shot Sasuke an irritated look, wiping his sword off. "I see you're annoying and flirtatious as always." He said calmly, picking up the wings and brushing the dirt off of them.

Intrigued, the tall girl swooped down in between the trees and landed, searching for the human. "Hello?" Desyree's powerful voice echoed, giving the impression she was hostile. "I promise not to hurt you."

Fox tied a rope around Lumina's ankles, wrists and wings, binding them together and glaring at the creature. "Avians.." He spat.
"Did someone catch the number of the truck that hit me?" Lumina groaned, opening her eyes and lifting her wrists up to brush her hair out of her eyes. She focused her eyes on Fox, and her eyes seemed to brighten slightly. "Oh, a human!" She beamed. "Hi, I'm Lumina! What's your name?" She asked curiously, ignoring the stabbing pain of her broken wing and her tied up wrists and ankles. After all, if she was going to die- which she likely was going to- what was the point of making things worse for her? She'd heard of a man who stole the wings of Avians, but she wasn't quite sure if this was Lucifer or not.

He knew that she was with the cause, and he was not. To be honest with himself, she kind of scared him, and the only reason he was here was because he'd left something very important that he didn't want anyone else to see. Once the punching bag was down, the short and scrawny avian stepped in, his silver hair in his gray eyes. He strode past her, avoiding her stare, because he didn't like meeting anyone's gazes, especially if they hated humans, but still, he couldn't help but cast her a sideways glance, hoping she wouldn't catch him as he bent down and picked up a small piece of cracked and yellow paper, stuffing it into his quiver along with the bow and arrows that already took residents there.

He fluttered his wings and folded them against his back, sitting on a rock and watching the water quietly. He smiled and plucked some flowers, starting to create a flower crown.

Fox growled softly. "Fox." He hissed under his breath, brushing some of his hair out of his eyes.

"Fox, that's a nice name." Lumina chirped, not deterred by his frustratingly brooding personality. "I think it fits you!" She looked at the rope circled around her wrists finally, and gave a little frown. "Aw, man. I've been caught. Vulcan's gonna kill me for this, if you don't first." She joked, trying to get rid of the tension. She twitched her wings, trying hard to hide the pain that flashed through her eyes as she realized one of them was broken. "And it appears my wing is broken." She noted.
Lucifer tipped Sasuke's face up to look him in the eyes, the much taller man running a finger down his face. "You're so cute when you flirt." He said softly. "It's too bad you're an Avian, otherwise I'd be all over you right now." His cold eyes gleamed as he leaned in, catching Sasuke's lips in a deep, passionate kiss that he broke away from. "Now, run back to Vulcan and make sure the girl that had her wings stolen gets to him safely." He said softly, letting go of Sasuke.
(What if Sasuke and Lucifer's relationship was slightly abusive? Like, Lucifer cares about Sasuke to an extent, but Sasuke is also a little afraid of him because Lucifer hurts him terribly?)

Peter shook his head, his smile dropping a bit. "I.. Yes, I have.. But, there's no sense in talking about my crush." He laughed quietly, brushing his hair out of his eyes. "It wouldn't matter much." Peter's wings drooped slightly, but he continued looking at Vulcan with a gentle smile.

Fox snapped her wing back into place, cringing a bit at the pop before he wrapped it up in a cast. Taking an ice pack, Fox tied the ice pack against her cast, but he left her bound by the wrists and ankles.

Lupus stood, leaning against a tree with his hand resting against the silver scythe that he always carried around. He was keeping an eye out for any avians, and if one crossed, he would not hesitate to fight them and attempt to kill them. His hate for the winged beasts was not without reason either. His family had been killed by avians, and Lupus wanted revenge. He was the lone surviver, because he had admired avians and been rather hateful towards the war. Avians had spared his life because he had thought they were good. Now? No, his views had changed that very day. He straightened up, glaring at the mountain, watching as a few specks floated around it.

"V-Vul-Vulcan..." Eris whispered, looking up at him. She was fading fast, the poison in her system taking effect already.
"Eris?" Vulcan held her shoulders, looking concerned. "What is it?"
"He's c-coming." She said quietly, her head falling forward slightly.
"Who is? Eris, who's coming?" Vulcan asked urgently, tilting her head back up.
"L-Lucifer." Eris said softly, the light fading from her eyes quickly. "He's coming for... you..." She slumped forward, her body still and cold.

"He's sent one of my subjects back with her wings gone and poison in her system..." He looked at the girl's still body resting in his arms, gently setting her down on the ground. "I'm afraid it's time I myself stepped into battle to face him. I wish my father hadn't slaughtered his entire family..." He said, regret showing through his face and heard in his voice as he began to dig a hole for Eris to rest in. The scraping sound of the shovel against the dirt was the only sound that filled the air for a moment, before Vulcan continued. "I don't want to kill him. But this is the last straw. No more of my subjects will have their wings stolen like trophies and sent home only to die."
Lumina looked around the room she was in, unsure of what would happen next. Would Fox release her, kill her, or bring her to the human leader for judgement? Her eyes focused on a fox figurine on the floor in front of her, and she studied it from where she sat.
Lucifer aimed his cross bow right at Peter, a net strung throughout two arrows that he was aiming at his wings. As he drew closer, Lucifer released the string and the net wound itself around Peter, entangling his wings in the iron net and dragging him down to the earth. Placing his crossbow on his back, Lucifer made his way over to Peter and crouched beside him, smiling cruelly at the boy. "Well hello there, Avian." He crooned, running a hand down the perfectly white wings he had. Lifting up a stone, he stuck the back of Peter's head, knocking him out swiftly before he picked him up, stuffed him into a sack, and disappeared into the forest.

Peter cried out in alarm, falling to the ground and whimpering. "O-ow.." he winced, trying to stand up. When he was hit in his head, he winced again before passing out.

Lucifer dumped Peter onto a table, strapping him down on his stomach so that he could have better access to his wings. Slicing them off easily, he hung them in the corner to let the blood drip out completely before he bandaged Peter up and picked him back up. Chaining him against the wall in a way that made him have to stand up, he stepped back and waited for Peter to wake up.

Peter slowly woke up, whimpering in pain as he looked around weakly. "Where... where am I...?" He said quietly, before seeing some beautiful white wings hanging on the wall with blood dripping down the wall. Realization hit him like a train and he gasped, his eyes widening.

"Look who's awake." Lucifer said calmly, sitting in front of Peter and looking at him with disgust. "Avians, I hate them. But you're special, so I have to figure out what to do with you." He scoffed slightly, looking to the side. "Perhaps I'll murder you and leave your bloodied corpse on the mountain for Vulcan to find... or maybe I'll keep you to torture when I'm angry, and let Vulcan see you chained at my feet when he comes to me for his battle." He thought out loud, eyeing Peter. "I'll admit, you're cute. But I'm afraid Sasuke already holds my heart, so don't try flirting or pleading your way out." He added.

Once the punching bag was down, the short and scrawny avian stepped in, his silver hair in his gray eyes. He strode past her, avoiding her stare, because he didn't like meeting anyone's gazes, especially if they hated humans, but still, he couldn't help but cast her a sideways glance, hoping she wouldn't catch him as he bent down and picked up a small piece of cracked and yellow paper, stuffing it into his quiver along with the bow and arrows that already took residents there.

Lupus had been sitting at the edge of a small stream, taking a break from his long walk back towards his home, a small cabin in the woods, at the base of the mountain just inside of human territory. It was well hidden, and couldn't be seen from above, which was great because otherwise he'd probably be dead. Suddenly he heard something to his left and dropped into a crouch, his hands tight in his scythe. Lupus hated avians, and if this was an avian, he was ready. He crept forwards and saw her, a black winged one sitting on a branch, sword drawn.

"Look who's awake." Lucifer said calmly, sitting in front of Peter and looking at him with disgust. "Avians, I hate them. But you're special, so I have to figure out what to do with you." He scoffed slightly, looking to the side. "Perhaps I'll murder you and leave your bloodied corpse on the mountain for Vulcan to find... or maybe I'll keep you to torture when I'm angry, and let Vulcan see you chained at my feet when he comes to me for his battle." He thought out loud, eyeing Peter. "I'll admit, you're cute. But I'm afraid Sasuke already holds my heart, so don't try flirting or pleading your way out." He added.

Sprucefur remembered his mission. He was to hunt for the Clan. Shaking out his fur, the tom crept into the thick undergrowth. He stepped lightly, as not to alert any prey. His ears pricked. His forest green eyes scanned the trees for any movement. Then, he spotted it. A squirrel.

'A fat one, too,' Sprucefur thought to himself, licking his lips. 'It'll definitely feed two, even three cats.' With this thought in mind, Sprucefur crept up on the squirrel. He was almost within pouncing reach before another figure exploded out of the bushes in front of him, diving after his catch. The squirrel scrambles up a tree, chattering in fear.

Sprucefur turned, irritated that some cat had chased off his kill. "You realize I was stalking that, right?" he said impatiently. "What are you doing here?"

He sighed and closed his eyes, quickly falling asleep in the small clearing.

Lupus sat by the stream, one hand in the icy cool water that flowed from the mountains, the other on his silver scythe, ready for trouble. He never let his guard down, and was always checking the sky, like he was now, looking up and searching for any avians, horrible winged beasts that kind of resembled humans, but were heartless and coldblooded. Not to be trusted. They killed humans, so it was Lupus's job to kill them in revenge. He hated avians, and took on his job with much pride.

Fear pulsated through Peter, his eyes widening. Tears welled up in his eyes and he shuddered, curling up against the wall and shaking. He was too scared to say anything, much less move. Watching Lucifer with terrified eyes, Peter became pale and cried harder. Vulcan, I never got to tell you how I feel,... I hope you find love, and.. And I hope you survive. Just forget about me, alright...? You'll probably never see me again, anyways... So please, stay happy, and win this battle against Lucifer.. Please.. He thought sadly.

Fox walked back into the room Lumina was in, untying her and grabbing her wrists. "Come with me." He ordered, dragging her into the living room before pushing her onto the couch. "You are now mine. My slave, and nobody else's. Is that clear, Avian?" He growled softly, his eyes narrowing.

Lumina looked thoughtful, before smiling. "Alright! What would you like me to do?" She asked, tilting her head.

Lucifer grabbed Peter by the chin, tilting his face up. "I think I've figured it out..." He purred, wiping Peter's tears away and releasing his face. "We'll wait for Vulcan to come, you and me." He trailed the tip of a sharp knife down Peter's cheek, marking him with a cursive 'l'.

Fox snorted, tilting his head up. "Do you know how to garden? My yard's in pretty tough shape, and I need someone with experience to keep it up." He asked, his hands on his hips.

Peter squeaked, looking up at Lucifer in terror. As the knife dug into his skin, he cried out in pain, trying to move away from Lucifer. Blood dripped down his cheek and stained the floor.

Peter cried out again, shaking in pain and starting to cry harder. "W-Why..? Why do you do this..? Just because the actions of one.. Make an impact on your species, d-doesn't mean that all of the other one's are guilty.. You shouldn't judge someone and make assumptions because of the actions of their father.." He whimpered.

Fox nodded. "Yes. But before you go, here." He snapped a collar around Lumina's neck. "To prevent you from escaping. If you try anything, I will cut those wings of yours clean off. If you step outside of the yard boundaries, you will get a shock." Fox advised, grabbing her wrist and pulling her up. "First, I need you to cut the grass, then, I need you to plant some flowers. The flowers are in my garage in the cardboard pots. Be careful with those, Lumina." He narrowed his eyes. "Now get to it."

If it was the human, it would most likely be killed. If it was the avian, she would most likely be killed as well.

Narrowing her eyes, Desyree spun her scythe and swung towards Sierra's sword arm, wanting to disarm her and then immobilize her.

"Come here," she said as she ripped a thin band of cloth off of her waist and pulled out a small jug of saltwater to clean off the injury. "This might sting, but probably won't be as bad as the injury itself." Desyree shot Sierra a small smile and began to pour the saltwater onto the cut while dabbing it with the cloth.

Her brow furrowed in concentration and shot out her other hand. This blow was harder. The leader punched the dummy over and over again, throwing in an occasional kick. Finally, all of her energy built up and Copper leaped off the ground. She spun into a round-house kick and the dummy fell over. Kai glared at the human, his gray eyes wide with anger, fear and pain. He felt dizzy at this point, and it was honestly becoming a struggle to stay upright and conscious. But a moment later, an avian landed in front of him, although because of the suddenness and his lightheadedness, he couldn't tell who exactly. He looked at his left wing, which hung limply, blood soaking the silver feathers and dripping steadily on to the grass, and part of it looked slightly bent, cause him to breath in sharply and drop his arrow.

But when he heard the human's name, he looked up sharply and stared hard at her with intense but slightly unfocused gray eyes. The next thing he knew, he was in the air bring carried away quickly in the arms of the other avian, who he still couldn't quite recognize, having yet to see their face. When he was set down, he lay on his back, the full realization of what had just happened sinking in, and he looked at the avian, who he was surprised to see was Jaycen. Kai glared at the human, his gray eyes wide with anger, fear and pain. He felt dizzy at this point, and it was honestly becoming a struggle to stay upright and conscious. But a moment later, an avian landed in front of him, although because of the suddenness and his lightheadedness, he couldn't tell who exactly. He looked at his left wing, which hung limply, blood soaking the silver feathers and dripping steadily on to the grass, and part of it looked slightly bent, cause him to breath in sharply and drop his arrow.

But when he heard the human's name, he looked up sharply and stared hard at her with intense but slightly unfocused gray eyes. The next thing he knew, he was in the air bring carried away quickly in the arms of the other avian, who he still couldn't quite recognize, having yet to see their face. When he was set down, he lay on his back, the full realization of what had just happened sinking in, and he looked at the avian, who he was surprised to see was Jaycen. She grimaced at the sight and looked around for a bandage or wrap. Seeing none, Jaycen ripped her legging fabric off of one leg up to the top of her thigh. She used the long strip of cloth to wrap around the wing.

His small note was gone, and it meant a lot to him. What was on it would've made anyone hate humans, but not Kai, he just had never found it in him to hate them. Setting down the quiver, he examined Jay's work, and picked up the arrows, snapping off the heads and carefully sliding them under the makeshift bandages. The arrows he positioned like splints, and their purpose was to hold his wing still and keep the bone straight, in case it was broken. He looked at her, feeling something inside him that he hadn't felt in a long time.

"Oro." Desyree silently fastened her scythe to her back and plunged Sierra's sword into the ground behind her. "Come here," she said as she ripped a thin band of cloth off of her waist and pulled out a small jug of saltwater to clean off the injury. "This might sting, but probably won't be as bad as the injury itself." Desyree shot Sierra a small smile and began to pour the saltwater onto the cut while dabbing it with the cloth.

Sierra nodded, looking to the human for a moment before she heard Desyree say something about stinging. "Oooww." She said, making a fist as the saltwater was poured over the cut. It looked pretty deep, but it wasn't that bad. Although it would take a while to heal. She dug her nails into the palm of her hand, trying to distract herself from the pain. Normally, humans weren't protected by avians, and it was easier for her to carry them to Vulcan. Fortunately today, one was. The red-haired avian watched Desyree, admiring the other avian slightly as she reacted quickly, and decided to help her. Sierra moved her free hand away from her arm and let it rest by her side.

Jay pondered this question. She only did for a second though before she said, "Yes." Dang it Jaycen! Why did you say that? She cursed herself but didn't take it back. She truly did want to know what was wrong. She felt as though she had to make up for his broken wing.

I- I loved him, but one day, all I found when I went to meet with him was a hastily written note, and the signs of a battle.... We had planned on so much for our future, and that was the day we planned to run, and be together....” Kai looked up for any signs of hatred on Jay's face, not sure how this news would go down with someone who hates humans. He knew the note by heart: 'Kai, our meetings aren't going undiscovered. They're coming here right now to destroy us. I'll try to lead them away, goodbye dear friend.' He could tell that he was crying hard, but silently. He never made noise when he cried, it was always in silence. “And I lost the note.... It's gone.” Kai said, looking away from her, feeling tense.

Desyree worked at Sierra's wound, cleaning it quickly. Hesitating, she turned to Sierra and said, "Do you want me to sew it shut? It'll hurt, but it would also heal faster." The girl frowned, trying to see if she needed anything else to clean the redhead's cut. Fern

"No. I think I will be fine with how it is." She said, not wanting to deal with the pain of her arm being sewn shut. Sierra tucked some stray strands of hair behind her ear, looking to Desyree. There was no way they could walk back to the top of the mountain in just an hour, and chances were, Jaycen was too tired to carry him again. It wouldn't be fair to ask her. He store up, bracing himself against a small tree, then looked back at Jaycen, confused and worried. Kai decided to leave her in peace, and peered into the treeline, searching for the perfect log. Spotting it, Kai set to work creating a shelter (http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3483/3755134674_9ec70dd6e3_z.jpg), large enough for two people and packed over with leaves and mud, which would harden and hopefully keep it warm and dry in case of rain. Then he walked the ten feet back to the clearing to check on Jaycen, squinting in the darkness.

Peter shook his head. "No... You won't kill him. You have it wrong. He.. He will kill you, Lucifer.." He whispered. Closing his eyes, Peter hunched over. "Collecting the wings of innocent people does absolutely nothing. What Vulcan's father did was wrong. He was a virus. But before him, many, many ages before him, the Avian's cared for the humans, and we all lived in peace.." He whispered. "I.. I just want it to be like the way it was before.." He whimpered, tears dripping down his cheeks.

Fox watched from a window, his arms crossed over his chest before he turned and walked into the kitchen to cook dinner.

"Just don't let me see that human friend of yours or you protecting her." She said, looking at the other avian before flying up into the sky. Once the red-head was out of view, she flew straight to the top of the mountain where she lived with the other avians.

"I see," Jay replied. She got to her feet and walked towards him. "That is smart. Shall I make one as well?" She figured that his shelter was just large enough for him. Making a shelter couldnt be that hard. Right?
