No one expected it. No one saw it coming. No one knew what to do. No one had any hope. These were the thoughts of everyone who witnessed the attack on mankind in the year 2090. An unknown terrorist activated a biological device called the "Devil's Mist", a DNA weapon specifically made for targeting humans that worked by entering the Earth's atmosphere and spreading globally. Billions perished due to the "Devil's Mist." Those who were lucky to survive were mutated. Some kept their physical human looks while others became abominations. One thing was common between them. They both possessed great powers. Some could breath fire while others gained immense strength. They began calling themselves The Departed. Humans who have evolved. They saw themselves as the apex predators. After a while the biological weapon's waste began to wear off and The Departed eventually began hunting the humans who saved themselves from the "Devil's Mist". The regular humans were slaughtered and enslaved as they were seen unfit to coexist alongside The Departed. The few lucky humans who managed to escape the "Devil's Mist" and The Departed survived in a secret fortress called Forge. These humans vowed to one day return to the surface of the Earth and reclaim it. They called themselves Sentinels. Because The Departed possessed immense superpowers, the Sentinels began engineering mechanical suits and powerful weaponry to combat the enemy. In the year 2101, the Sentinels made their way to the surface of the Earth. During the Battle of the Highlands, the first engagement between the Sentinels and The Departed, the Sentinels dealt a devastating blow to their enemy. Humanity had hope. They would no longer be enslaved and slaughtered like animals.
It is the year 2102. The Sentinels gear up for war against The Departed from their capital city Forge. The Departed themselves, stunned from their loss at the Battle of the Highlands, decide to fall back to wastelands and regroup. Which side will you take and how will you alter the course of this coming conflict?
