Shapeshifting Roleplay

[wickedvirtues]

This roleplay takes place on a small island inhabited by around 20 people not including tourists, of those 20, 5 are a bit...special.

These 5 people have the ability to shapeshift into animals, though only ones they have seen or ones that are real. (so NO five-tailed three-headed neon purple cats, or unicorns or something) It takes years to master these powers (so your OC will NOT be able to fully control their powers!) and much about them is unknown even to the holders of them.
With the backstory out of the way, let's get on to the rules.

RULES, THEY ARE HERE FOR A REASON -
No Mary-Sues. Your oc will NOT know how to fully control their powers if they have them, and they cannot EARN them. They're either born with it or they're not.

NO bullying. If you are rude or harass another person, or even their oc in some instances, then you will be given 2 chances. If you do it more than once you will be reported.

When roleplaying, say things like 'attempted', 'tried', or 'aimed' in fighting situations to make it fair to the other roleplayer. If you do not, the other roleplayer can dodge anyways to make it fair to them.

3+ lines is a decent length, and I sort of want you to try (unless you have writers block, then you can put less) because it's hard replying to 1 line like '(Name) tried to punch (Name)' in a longer roleplay.

Cloe drove off and within a few minutes, she parked at the vet's parking lot. She stepped out and rushed Summer to the inside of the building and told the lady about Summer.

(They all talked. Cloe and summer got in an agrue about wolves and dogs. Summer has fleas which make her fur burn up and she is taken to the vet as she is a black German Shepherd)

Caius Thomas had been on this island for as long as he could remember. He had been born here and felt no need to leave the haven. Although he had inhabited the island for more than 17 years, and knew it inside and out, he still never got used to all the tourists that came and went. They were always so loud and rather annoying; mainly becuase they scared off all the game he hunted and depended on for a hunger-free life.

The male's soft steps reached a clearing between the giant trees and his brown gaze shifted smoothly to the creek bubbling noisily nearby. A wry grin tilted the corner of Caius's mouth, an unusual showing, as he spotted a small buck drinking, unaware of the skilled hundred, from the crystal clear water. Drawing a slender arrow from the quiver resting on his sweating back, Caius notched it to his large recurve bow. It was a simple thing, dark brown, very slender, and slightly worn down, but it worked just fine, nevertheless.

Caius pulled the worn string silently back and, a moment later, let it fly. Before the buck knew what had happened, it had collapsed with a snort of pain, the arrow striking it right in the heart. To his benefit, Caius had much practice hunting before this day, as he did it as often as need be. Hunting and surviving had now become second nature.

He jogged quickly over to the creature and knelt down beside. His arrow had done the job. The buck was dead, and had suffered little pain before passing. He rested his hand on the still warm flank and his gaze rested on the antlers. By the size of them, the thing must have been rather young.

Caius slid out the arrow and, after cleaning it in the water of the creek, returned it to his quiver. He then studied the buck, realized it was small enough to carry, and picked it up, carrying it sheep-style toward the edge of the river. He sat down beneath a willow tree and deposited the animal beside him. He would clean it in a moment, first, he wanted to see if anyone was around. Technically, the animals here's were off limits for killing for the tourists, but he didn't follow the rule becuase, after all, he wasn't a tourist. But, Caius was pretty sure the tour guide and tourists wouldn't be too happy if they discovered him with fresh game.

Lainey's head bounced up and down in a huge nod as she widened her eyes. She then thought for a moment. "So we can't really control it, and we know almost nothing about them.." she mused.
"Were you a white tail?" Summer asked. She was an animal expert but she never imaged becoming an animal. Summer continued scratching as she couldn't help it.
"No, I was an adult and still had spots!" Loreli shook her head to affirm Lainey's claim. "It just shot out of the blue!"

"Weird" Lainey mused, her eyes narrowed as she put her chin in her hands. This was too weird, and beginning to freak her out a bit.

A girl walked through the forest in the direction of the creek. Her brow was furrowed and her steps were strong. She put a finger to her temple and narrowed her eyes in concentration. She reached the creek but was not satisfied by the sight of it. It was empty. Of course, there was running water, but the person she was expecting was no where in sight. Sandra grunted. They usually met at this stream but Cloe was not there. Maybe she is further down.
Sandy started walking along the creek. Her head turned in every direction possible as she searched for her friend. Cloe had been gone for a while and she was starting to worry.
The blonde continued down the bank. She heard rustling across the water and instinctively hid behind the nearest tree. She watched as an arrow hit a nearby deer with incredible precision. Her jaw dropped as the animal fell. It dropped even lower when she saw the man who came out to pick it up. She studied his movements and features as he took care of his prey. As he left, she wanted to call out and stop him. Instead, she watched a while longer before, unintentionally, walking forward and following him.
She crossed some worn out stepping stones and snuck toward his direction. Suddenly, Sandy stopped. She shook her head and looked down at the ground. Why am I acting this way? Her feet started moving again and she stepped on a twig, snapping it. The sound echoed. Crap.
