hello friend! i've got a surplus of motivation and am looking to off-load some of it to the wco community! one of my passions is character creation, and i tend to go very in-depth with my characters (i.e. cindersky and weaving her backstory into canon-wco lore). generally i just really love coming up with little battle cat concepts except that i would never in a million years be able to use them all!

not much to it! there is an outline i will use below and gives you an idea of what information will be included in the final product. if there are any specifics that you want (clan, name, design, etc.) feel free to let me know in your request!

Once a shy, scared-of-the-world kit, Minkflurry is a force to be reckoned with. Ruthless training and endless nights of bettering herself have resulted in a sharp-as-thorns exterior and a bite that's almost worse than her bark. She won't hesitate to call out those who slack off or annoy her, and treats disloyalty as the biggest crime of all. She's rough around the edges and very, very snarky to those who she isn't close with. The only cat who's ever really been able to get through to her is her former mentor - though she has no idea where they are now. Sarcasm is her main language and it doesn't matter who she's speaking with - High Rank or not.

On the flipside of the same coin Minkflurry is also very reckless, not thinking twice about the danger or consequences of her actions and instead letting adrenaline and the need for danger drive her. She thinks with her head most of the time and rarely ever allows emotions to get in the way of what needs to be done. Intelligent and capable this ShadowClan warrior never backs down from any task handed to her and instead usually completes it with flying colors. She always strives to be the best warrior she can - and will do anything to get there moral or not. As long as it's for the good of ShadowClan, it's on the table.

Because of her fast-paced style of living, Minkflurry often forgets her own needs such as proper pelt care and eating. Her fur is always usually raggedy and unkept, and sometimes she can smell bad - this is mainly from a tactic she uses to disguise her scent by rolling in mud. She'll keep going until she physically can't anymore, but whenever she's confined to rest she becomes irritable and lashes out. This she-cat rarely ever takes anything seriously and instead finds everything to be one big game. Walls and barriers surround her and Minkflurry also doesn't allow close relationships, often nipping them in the bud if she sees them forming.

Apologizing is not something she knows how to do - even if she's made to understand her actions. Minkflurrry doesn't believe in saying sorry and instead will press on regardless of whatever destruction she's left in her path. Truly a reckless daredevil who cares little for anyone but herself, Minkflurry strives for two main things in life; self-preservation and ShadowClan's legacy.
Kithood 1 - 5 Moons
Some of Minkkit's first memories are of Twolegs disrupting the flow of Clan life and contaminating ShadowClan territory with their odd dens and fire. Despite Dawnstar's warnings, he ventured out of camp during all of the chaos and managed to find the remnants of one such fire. Getting too close nearly burnt his face off and it was Mirehound that was there to scoop him up and back to safety. As the activity increased it was made aware that ShadowClan would be evacuating, and they moved temporarily to Hidden Haven. Minkkit spent time trying to distract himself, as it was at this point both of his parents had disappeared.
Pinewatch Patch is marked as off limits once ShadowClan returns, as it was too damaged by the Twolegs to recover. In the midst of this chaos Cinderblaze, their deputy at the time, was found dead with the cause being Twolegs - thus hatching Minkkit's anger towards them for taking away so much of his home before he got to see it. With his death it was Dawnstar's daughter Vixensnarl who was placed in charge of patrols. Arguments over the deputy's death sparked and distraught cries were enough to send Minkkit darting back into the nursery where he tried to bury himself under his moss nest. It was difficult to stomach so much happening, especially when neither of his parents were here around him.

Apprenticeship 6 - 10 Moons
Rain soaked the forest on the day that Minkkit reached six moons of age. He became an apprentice alongside Foxpaw, Starlingpaw, Tallpaw, and Daypaw - making a silent vow that he would outlast and outshine them all. Just as he's getting a taste of starting his true days as a ShadowClan member, Larkpaw is made the first Enforcer apprentice. This inspired Minkpaw to work harder and strive to reach the same goal. After all, he felt as though he had quite a bit to prove especially since his parents had not yet returned.
His first gathering was rather uneventful - however it was not free of drama. He got to watch as a couple of ThunderClan kits managed to sneak into the gathering. Fully expecting them to be reprimanded - as he had seen just how strict of a leader Dawnstar was - he was surprised when they were simply allowed to stay, taken under the wing of a rather snarly looking apprentice. The leaders didn't have much to announce - except that WindClan had welcomed a couple warriors back from the dead which shocked Minkpaw enough to contemplate StarClan's role in everything on the way back to camp.
His training was progressing well at this point, with his mentor teaching him well and ensuring that his battle prowess was up to ShadowClan standards with each session. He had already proved to be quite a natural when it came to stealth and hunting - though battle and fighting was where Minkpaw really shined. He was taught how to use the shadows to his advantage as well as the undergrowth in the forest. During a spar with another apprentice of similar age, he won rather easily by being able to pin them quicker than a snake - to his mentor's satisfaction.
On his way back from this training session was when all hell broke loose. Dawnstar had called a meeting to figure out the deaths that had been happening within ShadowClan. Wide-eyed, Minkpaw watched at the side of his mentor as Ebonysky drops dead from deathberries, and Heatherrain is executed by Dawnstar. The sight of it all causes him to flee and retch just outside of the camp's entrance. After a bit of consoling, Minkpaw returns to the meeting in time to witness Larkpaw and Darkpaw becoming Larkfire and Darkfall. Although he cheers along his Clanmates, Minkpaw doesn't remember much of the meeting...
It is around this time when Minkpaw starts to question his gender. Among the other uncomfortable events taking place, he is starting to become unnerved at being called a tom, and eventually seeks out his mentor to confide in. It is there that Minkpaw confesses that she doesn't believe she was born as a tom, but instead as a she-cat, and wants to see about using more feminine pronouns. For the longest time, she only allowed her mentor to know this as she didn't want it to be seen as a sign of weakness. It wouldn't be until her warrior ceremony that she could come out fully.
A buddy system is put in place when leaving camp - and it is during this meeting that WindClan makes an appearance during a Clan meeting. Twilightstar is followed by her deputy Fallownose and a couple other warriors, speaking with Dawnstar about a warrior by the name of Vixendance who was found to have tried to steal a kit. Once the WindClan patrol left, something in the air made Minkpaw realize that this meeting would be rather gruesome, a repeat of Ebonysky's and Heatherrain's death. Before she could bare witness to it she turned and tried to flee into the apprentice's den - but to this day can still hear the sounds of Vixendance taking it upon himself to enact his punishment - by removing his eyes. Minkpaw was suppose to go to the Gathering this moon as well with her mentor, but nightmares kept her prisoner in her moss nest that night.
With her warrior assessment nearing, a huge battle border broke out between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. Dawnstar called a meeting right when it was over and Minkpaw watched as his Clanmates carried in four dead bodies - Whisperingwolf, Oliveglow, Ivyleaf, and Mossfang. The sight made something in Minkpaw's heart click, and while the meeting commenced she immediately sought out her mentor to demand more advanced battle training. She insisted she wanted to be ready should she be called upon to fight for her home, so that no more ShadowClan cats died.

Warriorhood 11 Moons - Present
Shortly after relentless training and successful attempts at hardening her heart, Minkpaw was given her warrior name of Minkflurry - for her battle prowess - alongside Cougarbite, Dawnstar's grandson. Her mentor was the one to cheer her name loudly, and to those who came up to congratulate her she finally came out as trans, correcting them whenever any other pronouns other than 'she' and 'her' were used.
Another Clanmate's execution took place this meeting - but this time instead of running like she had done with Vixendance, Minkflurry stayed to watch. She stood as Mintbranch was killed for allowing his Clanmates Vixensnarl and Ivysnake to fall into danger with some foxes. Anger flared around her hardening heart and she grinned a little as his spirit left to hunt with their ancestors. It was here she heard Dawnstar create a new rank for the Clan; Disgrace.
Though Minkflurry had been excited to attend her first Gathering as a warrior, the two moons following her ceremony showed no sign of one. Life in ShadowClan continued uneventfully, save for the plans and preparations with events taking place for retribution against ThunderClan - which she happily partook in. During one meeting she got to witness Dawnstar's second grandkit become a warrior - Frigidmist - and it was finallyy revealed that Deadwish was also behind a few ShadowClan killings - including that of Willowpaw. With his death came the lifting of the buddy system; meaning that Minkflurry was free to finally leave camp on his own. Death was not done in ShadowClan, however - as it was laterly revealed that Vixensnarl found Duskpaw dead and skinned at the ThunderClan border.
Minkflurry's first Gathering as a warrior finally came - and much to his shock the cats he had seen sitting up on the rock when he had first went as an apprentice were long gone for both RiverClan and ThunderClan. He'd heard whispers around camp of their rank instabilities, so seeing it first-paw wasn't that much of a shock. There was much drama at this one, too; an outsider was killed by cats of his own Clan, a squabble that had the WindClan deputy leaving his perch to break up what looked like a break up between a ThunderClan apprentice and WindClan warrior, missing cats coming back into the Gathering and having to be escorted away. The young ShadowClan warrior had watched it all - and that was all before the leaders had even started the announcements.
Dawnstar kicked them off by announcing the new apprentices, warriors, and Clanmates they'd had in the last two moons. Then she made ThunderClan and their new leader Bumblestar aware of Duskpaw's death, which had Minkflurry intently listening; she was curious what excuse would be given to try and justify the young cat's death. What she was met with was an overly aggressive leader who had much more bark than any of her predecessors if rumors were anything to go off of - it had her wondering what it would be like to challenge her in a fight.
It seemed that RiverClan's new leader was cut from the same cloth; boasting about his Clan's stableness and their newfound ability to defend their borders. It all amused Minkflurry who also wondered what it would be like to hook a few of the stream-swimmers in her curved claws. Twilightstar's announcements were nothing to note - except for an apparent fire that had raged through their lands causing several deaths. She exchanged some heated words with the ThunderClan leader before WindClan was the first Clan to depart.
Upon leaving the Gathering Minkflurry stayed at the back of his Clan as they headed home and took a detour that lead towards Herondive Hollow. It was quiet, which was expected seeing as ThunderClan was either asleep or heading home from Seastones. The young warrior stared at the forest on the other side, envisioning being able to rip fur and flesh from the fox-hearted cats that resided on the other side. She pictured watching them die at her claws and shivered at the rush of anticipation that filled her chest. She gave the territory one last look before heading home.
The moon following the Gathering saw the battle for Sunkissed Creek. Minkflurry held her own and came close to killing a cat, but was shoved away into another fight at the last moment. She suffered pretty severe injuries from that fight which landed her in the medicine den for some time. While recovering she was made aware during a meeting that a ThunderClan patrol had killed Ivysnake unprovoked, and that was all it took to solidify her hatred of ThunderClan and her desire to rip them all apart. New enforcers were named at this meeting and ShadowClan was finally given a deputy; Vulturefang. None of this mattered to Minkflurry as all she could think about was revenge - especially when it came to light that yet another apprentice, Sweetpaw, was found dead at ThunderClan's borders. Dawnstar announced a kill-on-sight order and Minkflurry was happy to obligue.
The next moon saw a problem with foxes in the Icy Heartlands. Still recovering from her wounds with ThunderClan, Minkflurry was forced to stay and guard the camp. As expected, Dawnstar and her battle patrol returned victorious and had rid the territory of the threat. At this same meeting Minkflurry also got to witness a challenge be issued for the Head Commander spot among the Enforcers between Cougarivy and Larkfire.
With her wounds having healed, when it was announced that they would be going after Sunkissed Creek once more Minkflurry was among the first to volunteer. She went into this battle with more experience and ended up killing a ThunderClan warrior. The rush of her first kill drove her to rip and tear every other ThunderClanner she came across, eventually ending covered in the blood of her enemies. ShadowClan won the creek, but it was not without its losses; Starrylight and Drippingpelt were lost that day (though, Starrylight was returned to them shortly after).
At the most current meeting it was announced that lynxes have taken over their territory, and that no one was to approach them if they came across them. Minkflurry however, became curious of the creatures and how a newly named warrior managed to take one down. She vowed to work at it until she, too, could rid her home of these terrible beasts.

Soft, quiet, curious but not enough to stick his nose where it doesn't belong, Sleek is the definition of a gentle soul. He cares largely for plants, bugs, and little insects and finds them to be more interesting than most of his Clanmates. His voice rarely gets raised above a whisper or a murmur, making it difficult for others to hear him. The young tom is quite timid, preferring to stick close to the nursery, his family, or his friends versus venturing out and exploring. He is content to lose himself in a daydream rather than find and seek out other kits to play with as isolation to him is better than socialization.

Though he mainly sticks to himself and his collection of trinkets, Sleek often finds himself curious about certain things or others; he'll always try to innocently listen in on others or peer into the dens of cats he's heard are important (the medicine den, the leader's den, etc). But if he's caught or chastised for it he will immediately apologize and promise to never do it again - and stick by it. He hates loud noises and will usually try to press his paws against his ears if subjected to him. Emotional and an overthinker from a young age, despite not having a decent grasp on certain emotions, Sleek tends to feel things very deeply. This often confuses him as he hasn't quite made sense of all the different emotions or concepts of Clain life (death, ceremonies, war, etc).
Kithood 0 moons - present
Though his memories are still fuzzy and forming, a lot of what Sleekkit recalls since being born is tension. Something about cats and rivers and leadership - none of which the young tom really understands. Though he is curious he refused to ask his mother or father about it and really just dives deeper into his own little world. There are talks of punishing... RiverClan. Sleekkit learns that is one of the three other Clans in the forest alongside WindClan - the other two being ShadowClan and ThunderClan.
Outside of meetings and Clan life he grows up well, often playing with his two dotting parents or his brother Waspkit. The two share a fondness with moss-ball and playing Clan, in which Wasp always declares himself as leader while Sleek takes up the mantle of medic. They shared a lot of days tumbling around in the nursery with his brother attempting (and failing) to "lead" (read: boss) the other kits around while Sleek would try to sneakily place leaves on or near them to "heal" them.
During a meeting a warrior had burst into the camp in a clear panic, something that made Sleekkit squeak and run back to the nursery. From there he watched with wide eyes as they described a body being found - a dead body - near the water. Sleek didn't really understand what this all meant but cats started getting scared around him so he made sure to stick close to the nursery for the rest of the meeting.
Despite this, it wasn't all bad news; it seemed their medicine cat apprentice had been given her full name - news that made Sleekkit smile. Lightningstorm! It was such a cool name and he made a vow to go congratulate her... one of these days, after he got over his incredible shyness that kept him glued to the nursery and his family.
After that disastrous meeting Sleekkit swore them off until he would be called up to be made into an apprentice. Whenever Twilightstar would call them to gather, he would remain pressed against the nursery floor, refusing to go out. Lately though, he has started to become curious again and is currently fighting the urge to rejoin the Clan's meetings once more. Most recently he has listened from the sidelines as Goosefluff tells a story in the nursery about a fire that swept through WindClan...

hi! once you've written out your lore, please add it to the pre-determined details so that i can accurately make your character! one of the major aspects of this is that i sort of come up with the background to complete the character, so if you have your own lore you would like to use i'll need to know that so that i don't create a contradictive character :heartbounce:
