There were once five packs: Rock Pack, Stream Pack, Fire Pack, Dusk Pack, and Frost Pack. All five packs were striving...


Except maybe one. Fire Pack had the most wolves than any of the packs, and to make matters worse, they lived in the desert, where it was hot year round, and very little prey. Fire Pack focused more on battle training than the other packs, inventing new moves and training at night, when it was cooler.

One night, Blaze, the Alpha of Fire Pack, called his pack together. In seven moonsets, there would be a Great Meeting, where all the packs would greet each other and exchange news. But Blaze had a different idea. He would attack the other packs for their food and territory. So he told his wolves to train even harder, train with teeth bared and claws out if they had too.

Six moonsets passed, and then the night of the Great Meeting appeared. Blaze leaped onto the Calling Cliff, and howled that Fire Pack would have their first fair share of life tonight. He selected his strongest and Fiercest to wolves to go with him.

The Wolves of Fire Pack made their way towards the Meeting Lake, where the Great Meeting would be held. The group paused at the edge of the hill, waiting for the signal from Blaze. The Alpha flicked his tail, and the Wolves swept down, letting out howls. They leaped upon the other packs, snarling and snapping and howling. Fire Pack had gotten Frost Pack on their side, so it was three against two. But the two joined packs were stronger, meaner, and feircer- and had the element of surprise. They beat Stream Pack, Rock Pack and Dusk Pack, took the remaining wolves as slaves, and left the dead for the crows to feed on.

Several moons later, the huge group had been named Blaze Pack, and also spilt into several groups:

Loyalties- the Wolves of Fire Pack and Frost Pack
Mediocre- the Wolves of Stream Pack and Rock Pack
Low-Wolves- the Wolves of Dusk Pack

The Loyalties were the Wolves that Blaze trusted the most. The Mediocres were the Wolves that Blaze half-trusted. And the Low-Wolves were the Wolves that had put up more of a fight, and we're most likely to rebel against them, so they were giventhe worst prey.

And rebel the Dusk Pack did. The fought back, and other wolves, the Mediocres, joined them. And yet they were beat, and so they fled. The only Mediocres that stayed were the Wolves that feared Blaze and his Loyalties.

Now the freed wolves are known as Falling Dusk, and plan to destroy Blaze and his terrible way of rule once and for all.

The Alpha lifted his head up to the sky and closed his amber eyes as a hot desert breeze buffeted his russet fur.

The huge wolf opened his eyes and turned his head to look at the forest. It was too hot here in the desert, and his wolves were vulnerable without much cover in their barren territory, with only the cacti to rely on for water. He growled softly to himself. "Those Falling Dusk traitors have it made," he muttered. "They have the shade, the prey, and the water. And what did they do to desert it?" He lashed his tail. "Nothing, that's what. They betrayed me, and all the Wolves here, and yet they still get everything!"

Blaze's eyes flashed. That's it! I know what to do.
His tail swished back and forth menacingly. A battle will make them think twice, and when we win... AGAIN... well get the territory and drive them out into the desert! It's fool proof!

Leaf sat beneath the shade of a huge pine tree in the middle of camp, looking around at the pack. They were injured and weak, but thriving. We may have lost to them once, he thought, but we won't again. We'll train to be stronger, faster, and smarter. If Blaze decides to attack, we'll be ready. And that's what we were: prisoners. He made us fight his own wolves for his own amusement."

Leaf's eyes hardened. "But the prisoners rebelled. They gathered every wolf that wanted to leave and created an escape plan. Some of the Frost Pack wolves wanted to leave, and the only wolves who stayed were the ones who did it out of fear and cowardice.

"One night, the prisoners suddenly attacked. Even though they were outnumbered, they put up a fight. They lost, and were scattered. They found each other again, though, and joined together. Fluke stood. "Nothing too interesting," he reported. "The Loyalties are well, and though we had one try to slip away, I took care of him."
The High Guard smiled grimly with all his teeth. "Made sure that both the Loyalties and the Mediocres watched his death. I made sure it was slow and painful."


Leaf looked up. The Falling Dusk wolf was lying on his side, facing away from the entrance, so he had to twist his head around to look at Vixen. "Just sleep here for the time being," he murmered softly. "I'd be glad for the company."

The Blaze Pack alpha ignored Shadow's small teeth in his leg. With his fangs still buried deep in his son's shoulder Blaze flung the young Trainee up and over his head, wrenching Shadow's jaws out of his leg and causing the Trainee to land hard.

Heron decided to try to convince Alpha to help him. It was nerve-wracking and terrifying, but he was going to try. He woke up that morning with a bounce in his step. As he neared Alpha's den, he was nervous. What if Alpha didn't believe him? What if he thought Heron was just some silly pup with a fantasy? He shook all of his worries off, and cleared his throat st the entrance to Alpha's den.

Fluke followed and sat down outside the nursery with a sigh. Even though it was early, the sun was baking, and the hot desert winds did nothing to help.

Willow took the meat with a small "thanks". But she didn't eat it. She felt so bad, so guilty and awful, she felt like she didn't deserve to eat. Instead, the young pup curled up on the sand and almost fell asleep.

You can be Head Hunter Trainee, but Trainees are normally 6-12 moons old. If you'd like to keep the age and change the rank, or vice versa, that's completely fine!

Vixen was getting stronger by the second, but she didn't have much to do. Clawing the ground wasn't working, so she quickly cooked an idea into her brain. 'That other wolf pup, Heron I believe, needs a little cheering up,' she thought. So, she intently watched the fellow member before she gained enough confidence to go talk to him.

Shaking on her paws, she padded over to Heron. "H-hi," she began, trying to make eye contact but nearly failing, "I, uh, heard about your sister, and I thought maybe you could use a cheering up. Want to play together?" She grinned. 'I somehow successfully talked to him! Except for my greeting. Why must I stutter?' Pushing the thought away, Vixen held her breath for his answer.

Vixen only knows Leaf out of the whole pack. She MUST make bonds!))
