Spellwood Forest

There is a land where magical creatures thrive together, where creatures of all shapes and sizes live together. Humans will never be allowed to see this place, as it is protected by a spell to forbid them from seeing it. The forest was cut into three so that each creature could live in it’s habit. First there is The Crystal Tundra, it’s high snowy mountains are perfect for creatures who love the harsh cold and enjoy living in caves. It’s mountains lead down into a snowy forest, which is also home to many creature with thick pelts to keep them warm in the cold. In the middle of this cold forest lays a frozen pond, the creatures main water source. As the Tundra leads to the West the tall pines begin to disappear and Oak trees take their place. The snows melts and the oak trees leaves begin to turn green, the Quiet Oak Forest begins to appear. This forest has many growing plants and many creatures inside it, a rushing river runs through this forest as the main water source here. As you travel west once more then leaves on the oak trees begin to disappear and the air gets hot, the grass shrivels up and leaves only dust and dirt behind. Smoke rises in the air as you come upon Mount Eclipse and the Eclipse Forest, here lies a tall volcano. It hasn’t been active in years but smoke stills rises from it, creatures that live here love the blistering heat and the dusty air. The river from the forest leads into this area but soon turns dry, the creatures here either don’t need much water or get their water from the almost dry river or the cacti. Many creatures also travel to the forest to gather water and food during the hot summers.

You can make any magical creature you like, and honestly you can make non-magical creatures as well. You can make over sized bears or if you just wanna be a regular deer that's fine too! But I wanna lay down some rules or guidelines!

Guidelines:
1. Please do not quote this I'd rather you BluBunny me!
2. No Overpowering-- magical creatures are fine, so are powerful creatures like dragons or unicorns but don’t overpower them too much! Making your creatures OP makes it less fun for everyone!
Follow the site rules please!
3. Be Nice!-- I know arguments can happen but please don’t clog up the thread with arguing, if you can’t get over it just PM each other!
4. No Big Plots w/out asking me!-- I know you guys have a lot of great ideas but sometimes when people start big plots when others aren’t included it makes a lot of people want to leave because they don’t like the plot or their character is ignored. If you have ideas PM me and we can all agree on a plot.
5. Don’t bag on someone if their character is “unrealistic”-- like I said, its all sorts of creatures so anyone can make up their own breed or whatever!
6. Don’t continue a conversation through the thread-- This kinda goes along with the argument one, if you’re having a long convo try to move it to the PMs or Visitor Message. It’s easy to ask someone something over Pm instead of quoting them and starting a whole convo. I won’t push this rule as much as others because I have done this as well but I will point out when a convo has been going on too long on the thread…
7. While I did say humans could not see the forest, you can make other human-like creatures-- Like centaurs or other half-human creatures.
8. If you have any issues/questions/anything just PM or Visitor message me! I will try to help anyone as much as I can!!
9 . All three sections do live in peace at the moment, yes you can have small arguments between the creatures because of course that is bound to happen sometimes. It's more of a balance between bad and good rather than a whole everyone lives in peace and harmony thing. There can be evil and mean creatures, I just don’t want someone to take over the whole rp with an evil creature or a really peaceful/good creature.

-These creatures will most likely have thicker coats, they will have larger paws/hooves/whatever because it makes it easier to break the thin ice on the pond and be able to get water.
-The pond is NOT the only water source but it is the biggest.
-The mountains will have more ice and less fluffy snow, the cold will the harsher but there are many caves in the mountains.
-The forest has more fluffy snow and more animals would live in this area since it is not as cold.

-Creatures here will like moderate weather, not too cold or hot. The forest does have colder days and warmer days. I will try and update the weather for each section.
-Once again, the river is the main water source but there are many more.
-Oak is the main trees in this forest but there are also smaller pines, maples, cedar, etc.

-Creatures will have less fur, more scaly looking skin. They will most likely be cold-blooded, they would have large claws to dig into the dirt to get to the water underneath.
-This animals do travel when it gets close to getting hotter, some will move completely to the edge of the forest while others just travel there to gather supplies.

Blu looked at the Winged Cheetah as it landed, one of his ears flicking. He stayed where he was, in the shade of a tree, hoping not to get noticed. Soon though, the skittish side got the better of him, and he stood up, ready to bolt the other direction. He knew he couldn't outrun her, but he probably could put maneuver her.

Frost closed her eyes as she felt the cold snow against her hooves, she loved the Tundra. She was one of the only Unicorn living in this area, she was sure there were Forest and Eclipse Unicorns but she'd never met them. Frost was actually a mix breed, half horse and half unicorn. She got most of her mothers traits, who was a unicorn. Her father had passed away when she was young and her mother raised her as a full bred unicorn, her mother taught her she was a royal of the Tundra. Frost could be stuck-up at times, she was also a perfectionist and hated when things never went her way. Her hooves were covered will crystals, her mother told to do this so it would protect her hooves. She shuffled through a bush, eating the leaves off of it. Her horn made it a bit hard sometimes to reach certain areas, it got in the way half the time. The short fur along her back stood up as she felt rain drops against her back. She lifted her head and grumbled, it was going to rain soon. "My coat will get messed up." She said to herself in a somewhat whiny voice.

Ace's large claws dug into the soft soil of the ground, he was looking for some ginger for his den. The caramel colored wolf was over sized and ancient, he had been around for years. He could smell the rain in the air and wanted to gather his herbs before it came. His stuffed the ginger into a homemade bag and began to trot off towards his next herb spot.

Ace smiled as he felt the wind under his wings as he flew, as he spotted the dry river below he began to fly down towards it. He hoped it would rain soon, the river was getting a bit too dry for his liking. he knew the Forest and Tundra would get most of the rain but even a little would help here. He folded his wings and dug his scaly paws into the dry river, trying to see if there was any water underneath the soil.

Drift looked in the direction of the whine. "Oh. I guessed." He mumbled to himself. He was laying near the frozen pond, as he had already cracked some of the ice to get some water. The hippogriff was glad he lived in the tundra. He loved the taste of the cold water, it just seemed worth it to him. After all, most of his kind lived in the forest. Near his front feet, there was a half eaten carcass of a rodent. He had killed it when he first arrived, and he wasn't done with it. But, he of course couldn't store it for later, as it would be too frozen. With a shrug, he grabbed it with his beak, quickly swallowing it. Well, problem solved.

Sting sniffed the dry river, grumbling as she stepped in a small puddle of slightly wet soil. Well, that meant that water would have to be underneath right? Barbed tail slightly lashing, she started to dig, the bag on the side of her neck thumping with her movements. Inside it were some light weight jugs, which were kind of like light weight sculpture made from clay.

"A royal, huh." He replied sarcastically, his tail whipping. He rolled his eyes. Oh hey, at least there's snow. For some reason, he especially enjoyed romping around in snow, it was just so amazing.

"Oh, I just heat up clay that I find, and I mold it around a base thing kind of that I made with wood, wait for that to dry, and take it off, and there it is." She said, bending down to get a few laps of water before walking over to him, her barbed tail slightly waving.
