So! Roleplay will begin with the flooding of camp. The clan's leader, Rainstar, their deputy, Mosstail, and their medicine cat, Moonberry, drowned in the flood as well. The medicine apprentice survived, and is open to rp. There won't be many cats, cuz, you know, most of the Clan drowned, so only one character per person.

Rainstar stood on top of the Highcliff to begin the warrior ceremony for the Clan's two eldest apprentices- Sandpaw and Tigerpaw. The rains from earlier have slowed... We should be good to begin.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highcliff!"

Sandpaw scrambled up behind Rainstar. She was ready. She'd finally become a warrior... Neither could have predicted how badly this would go.

Mosstail was focused on getting e kits and queens out. They were the future and meant so much to the benifits of the clan. So forcing himself through the sludge was his only option. He had lost rainstar in the process but knew rainstar would be fine. He could hear the terrified mewls of the kittens the wails of desperation from the queens. Than a crackle of thunder overhead made him jump. Causing him to loose footing and go under the dark water for a moment, than somehow being able to pull himself up and out of the water. Continuing to the kits. Rain battered his side and stung his eyes but his vision seemed clear. His intensions seemed awful clear as well. Once he reached the side of the nursery the water thinned out by his legs and he was able to squeeze through. Now there was no water but eh ground was damp. Waves lapped by his hindlegs as he forced himself to the back of the nursery. "Queens count your kits! I'll break a hole through the ceiling, get out as fast as you can and go to the great oak. On the hill it should be safe!" he hollered as another flash of lifting struck the sky sending the kits into a frenzy. He squirmed last them and started pulling at the title woven branches. Breaking it into a circular hole large enough for the she cats and kits to squeeze through.

Briarpaw had lost sight of her mentor. She was wading through the water back to the medicne cat den in hopes she could grab her before evacuating the rest of the cats. She had seen the deputy go for the nursery meaning the elders den was her target.. But for now.. She needed her mentor. Struggling as Debre caught on her legs from the mysterious dark water she continued on. Forcing her small body towards the den she spent her long new leaf days in. Her den. The medicne den she couldn't exactly let go.

Rainstar gasped as she began to loose he footing. The river! Why didn't I notice! She padded through the waters, hoping to help Mosstail free the queens and kits. Sandpaw struggled to keep her head above the water, clinging on to a branch at water level. Rainstar passed by her, just as she slipped. Quickly, she grabbed her and put her back onto the branch. "Get out of here! Help any cat you see!" Then, she dove back under the water to reach the nursery faster.

Tigerpaw was dreaming. She was in a grassy meadow stalking a mouse. She leaped but it darted away. Darn! Her eyes shot open as thunder sounded overhead. What the? She rose to her paws and stretched quickly. She padded to the den entrance and watched as cats darted in all directions. "Hey!" Tigerpaw shouted. "What's going on!" She padded out of the den entrance and felt a drop of rain splash on her head. Its raining! Tigerpaw looked around the clearing and watched puddles start to form. oh no! Tigerpaw darted across the clearing and towards the elders den. She halted once she saw Brairpaw heading there already. I can't let Brairpaw get the elders alone! Tigerpaw continued racing to the elders den. Once she got there she skidded to a halt, spraying up water. Tigerpaw poked her head inside. "If you were sleeping I'm sorry to wake you," Tigerpaw meowed. "But its raining and it might flood, so we need you to get out of your den and find safety, which means you might have to go out of camp." Tigerpaw shook her pelt, scattering drops of water across the clearing. I hope its not to late!

After watching her leader go, Sandpaw swam towards the medicine den, hoping to help Moonberry salvage something of her herb store. Then she let herself fall back onto the nursery. "Help! Someone take the kit!" Tigerpaw looked at the entrance to the nursery, which had collapsed. No! The hole was too high to reach, the entrance had collapsed, and it was raining, she didn't know how to swim. Tigerpaw sighed. I hope someone takes the kit!

Rainstar ears flicked in the direction of Tigerpaw's cry. "Tigerpaw!" Quickly, she dove back under the murky water to save her. She soon found the young cat, and pulled her to the surface before grabbing the kit. "Tigerpaw! Get out of here- there's no more you can do! Get out of camp! To the hill!" Then, kit in her jaws, she swam off to see what else she could do for her clan.

Mosstails paws thrashed wildly before his leg was caught on a branch. He whimpered in pain as it pulled on his leg whiel the water tried to pulled him to other direction. Than as the water rose he went under. A few bubbles of water coming up from his nose and bubbling of the surface. He shut his eyes tight before sawing at the root with his claws. Blind to see where his leader had gotton too. Than finally he broke the root and floated to the surface. He gasped as he broke the water and thrashed wildly with the last of his strength.

Briarpaw scheduled for injuries or the signs of shock just in case someone needed indicate attention. It didn't look like it, so she passed by the elders and was faced with water. She wasn't a great swimmer bur she knew how. She spotted tigerpaw and made taht her target. She passed by sandpaw as she dispeared into the medicne cat den and clawed her way up the nursery wall. She noticed it was stormkit who was left behind. She scrambled across the roof of the nursery snagging the kit before seeing tigerpaw stuck. She came closer and tugged on her scruff "come on!" She hollered

She leaped down from the nursery roof and landed in the water. Oh no! She wadded through the black water towards the warriors den. She squeezed though the entrance and looked around. "Hello?" Tigerpaw called. "Does anyone need help?" when no reply came she slipped back into the clearing. That's everyone I guess... She began wadding back to the center of the clearing, but she lost her footing and toppled over. Tigerpaw quickly got to her paws and continued through the water. "Rainstar! Brairpaw! Mosstail!" She called. "Come on! Everyone's out, its just me and you guys! Let's go!"

Rainstar turned towards the apprentice before nodding. However, she didn't notice the log behind her. It knocked her in the head and she fell beneath the water.

Than the deputy turned towards rainstar. "Come on!" He hollered

Rainstar flailed as she tried to reach the surface, gasping as the water rushed into her mouth. Already her vision was getting a bit dark... No! I can't just leave my Clan like this! She struggled back towards the surface, but her vision went dark, and she sank to the bottom of the water. {this is where i want her to die, so... yeah.}

"NO!" he wailed. Leaping from the roof he hit the water and dissappeared. Seeing her eyes for the last moment "please... I love you" the deputy than splashed over towards her just as she went down. The love of his life was dead... So he found no reason to live. His worth had drowned before his eyes. Now resting peacefully frozen in te beneath him. He sucked Ina nshaky bretah catching water at the edges of his lips. Than he went under. Caught by the under current... And he was swept away into the depths.

Tigerpaw's eyes widened in terror. "Rainstar!" She yowled before ducking beneath the surface. She grabbed her leader by the scruff and began hauling Rainstar to the entrance. She was a bit slow, because she was only an apprentice, and Rainstar was a full grown warrior. I wish someone would come help me! Tigerpaw thought. She lost her balance and fell beneath the surface. She struggled to find her paws. I'm going to drown! Tigerpaw finally found her paws and stood up. She gasped for air though clenched teeth, then continued towards the camp entrance. She stumbled over some rocks a few times before reaching the entrance. The climbed out of the water and padded though the forest. I have to be quick! The river is gonna flood again!
Sandpaw watched her friend dissapear. "No! Tigerpaw!" She tried to grab her, but with the combined weight of Tigerpaw and the limp body of Rainstar, she began to sink beneath the surface.

[Tundra]

Tigerpaw ducked beneath the surface and grabbed Rainstar in her jaws. "Come on Rainstar! Help me out!" She mewed through clenched teeth. Tigerpaw padded to the entrance and raced through the forest. She met up with the other cats on the hill and placed Rainstar down gently before darting back to camp. "Come on guys!" Tigerpaw yowled. "We have to go!"

Tigerpaw nodded. "Alright, let's go!" She turned and padded out of camp, then stopped to wait for Sandpaw. "You can take the lead," Tigerpaw meowed. "Just because I want you to get there first, so you don't get swept off of your paws or anything, and if you do I want to make sure I can see it so I can help you."

[Panic]

Tigerpaw nodded. "Alright, let's go!" She turned and padded out of camp, then stopped to wait for Sandpaw. "You can take the lead," Tigerpaw meowed. "Just because I want you to get there first, so you don't get swept off of your paws or anything, and if you do I want to make sure I can see it so I can help you."

"But you can't swim... No point in arguing I guess. Let's go!" The two took off for the hill. Silently, Sandpaw hoped Rainstar was all right. And she hadn't seen Moonberry at all... And where was Mosstail? He wan't at the hill, either. {Brb, i got to do something...}

"Let's just GO!" Sandpaw moved her paws as fast as she could go, glancing behind her to see if Tigerpaw was following. To her horror, the wave was right behind her- even though Tigerpaw wasn't in it, she knew the wave would probably catch them.

Tigerpaw looked at a tree up ahead. "Sandpaw, climb that tree!" She yowled. Tigerpaw glanced over her shoulder and picked up her pace as the wave got closer. "Sandpaw, climb that tree! Now!"

[Panic]

Tigerpaw began to climb, but was swept away by the wave. Oh Starclan, no! Her back scraped a rock and she winced in pain. Suddenly, the water around her turned red. I'm bleeding! She thrashed her paws around wildly. Soon she realized that she was swimming. I did it! I'm swimming! Her head broke through the surface. "Sandpaw, I'm coming!" She kicked at the water with her paws. A few moments later she saw another wave coming. No! Tigerpaw kicked harder. The wave was approaching, and fast! Tigerpaw reached the tree that Sandpaw was on and began to climb. Tigerpaw was halfway up when the wave struck. She held on tightly, fighting the force of the water. Starclan, help me!

"T-t-TIGERPAW!" Sandpaw frantically searched the water, but she couldn't find her friend. "Oh Starclan, no!" She desperatley stuck her paw in the water- and found fur. "Tigerpaw!" She began to pull on the cat with all her strength.

She was to tired to swim, so she did nothing. She slammed against trees and rocks. When she was close to the ground she placed her paws down and dug her claws into the wet earth. Her pad stung, so she looked at it. A heartbeat later she realized that there was a small stone in it. The ground that she was holding onto gave way and she was carried away by the current once more.

She jerked up at once. "Tigerpaw!"She searched the water for the sound before finding a small patch of fur- Tigerpaw. With the rest of her strength, she dragged Tigerpaw onto the branch before collapsing onto her stomach, panting heavily.

Tigerpaw lied on the branch. She was tired from all the swimming. She tried to speak, but only coughed up water. Her breath came in ragged gaspes. "The clan is over at the hill... Near the Great Oak..." Tigerpaw mewed. Then she placed her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

He stared at the body of the black and white tom before pulling it up and away from the water, and desperately continued to look. He found nothing else but two more deceased warriors, Frostclaw and Mothfur. He left the dead three next to eachother, away from the churning water before racing up the tree the two apprentices were in. "Sandpaw, Tigerpaw?" He asked once he got up the tree "You two okay?"

Im here, try pawing at the water slowly, and bobbing with the waves, it will help you stay balanced." the short-furred tom pushed himself forward. "Dont worry were near the Great Oak."

Stoneshine kept going, every so often he would stop to look around. He soon found another cat in the water, he pulled it out, it was Rushleap, one of the elders and Stoneshine's own father. He stared at the dark gray tabby pelt and sighed, dragging his father back up the shore away from the flood. He kept going, looking around desperately.

Stoneshine nodded and pulled Lilybloom further up from the water and left her under a bush. "Let's go and find some cats." He looked up at Sandpaw and Tigerpaw "They'll be okay." He mumbled and began to pad forward, searching for any survivors

Sandpaw sat up, waiting for Tigerpaw to awake before they headed off to find the clan's survivors. She sat and looked at her surroundings. A limp pile of dark striped fur caught her eye. Only one cat in Leafclan had that pelt- the Clan's medicine cat, Moonberry. When Sandpaw padded towards her after clambering down the tree, she wasn't breathing. "Moonberry..."

Briarpaw was laying on her side. She was the only highranking member of the clan and she was forced to take charge. She didn't know how, all she could do was make a few cats throw up water and check out some regular shock cats. Which was tiring in itself.

Snarkyretort cleared his throat, ready to address the situation. "Cats of Leafclan, we have lost many things on this horrid day. We need to find someplace to rest and help the wounded, warm the cold, and count the dead." He meowed, his voice loud. The tom looked over to Briarpaw, hoping she had something to say or do, as Snarkyretort did all that he knew he could. "Briarpaw, what do we do?"

I would be glad to help."

Tigerpaw opened her eyes to a starry field. Where am I? She thought, then she realized. I'm in StarClan? Tigerpaw looked around and spotted a silver cat padding towards her. "Tigerpaw," The silver cat meowed as she approached. "It is not your time to die yet..." The silver cat leaned forward and touched noses with Tigerpaw. Tigerpaw opened her eyes and found herself laying on the tree branch in the forest. She coughed up water then gasped for air. I can't believe it, I actually died!

Snarkyretort bounded over to where Stoneshine had pointed to, the tree, and intended to make sure Sandpaw and Tigerpaw were safe. He was nearing the base of the tree, the tall, long legged cat tried clawing his way on the bark and steadily nearing the branch. Snarkyretort slid down the tree as a result, his short claws unlatching. He tried and tried, but then he noticed a limp shecat next to Sandpaw ( Fenris ). Snarkyretort's face drained of color as he noticed who it was. "Moonberry?" He meowed, solemnly padding over. He sat next to Sandpaw, staring in disbelief.

He paused staring down at the she-cat before meowing "Anything you need?" He asked looking at Brairpaw. "Want me to go find Rainstar or someone else?"

This brought tears to her eyes, not only the failure to be strong for her clan. Moonberry. "I can't just not move. I have a job to do. It would make moonbeery happy" she meows voice cracking with heavy emotion before she wipes her nose with a swift swipe of her paw. Than she slightly lowered her head. Hopekit sleepily awoke to the sound of laughter and stumbling.
The nursery was always filled with that. As Hopekit warily rose to her paws, she tripped. Pain stung her hind leg, but other than that, she felt as fine as she always felt. "Oh, StarClan," she muttered, annoyed. As she padded out of the nursery to fill her lungs with cold, fresh air, she heard pawsteps. Turning around, she spotted Sandpaw. "Hello, Sandpaw!" she greeted the apprentice. Padding into the nursery again, Hopekit decided to play with the other kits, it wasn't as if she was going to get any more rest. Seeing the kits playing prey and hunter (or hide and seek..), Hopekit eagerly raced over to the kits, quickly chatting to them and then retreating in an attempt to hide. Padding over to a corner of the camp, a leaf landed on her nose. Batting it, Hopekit's paw hit a stone, granting her with searing pain. She padded over to the Medicine Den, every pawstep an enormous effort. At last, she reached the Medicine Den and whined," Hi (medicine cat name).... Err... So I was playing Prey And Hunter with the other kits, and I was hiding... A leaf suddenly landed on my nose, and, batting it, my paw hit a stone. It really hurts!" As (medicine cat name) walked over to her/his herb store, Hopekit sat down, intensely licking her paw. (Medicine cat name) came over to her, holding a bitter-smelling herb in his/her jaws. As the medicine cat instructed her to do things, Hopekit instantly felt much better. Mewing her thanks, Hopekit went right back to her hiding spot, only to be found by the other kits. "There you are! We've been looking for you. What happened to your paw? We saw you trotting out of the Medicine Den..." they irritated her with questions. Being sort of annoying due to her nature, she replied," All I did was hurt my paw. Nothing to fuss about. That a good enough explanation?" As she saw hurt expressions on her friends' faces, she quickly added," Then again, I can always tell you more later..It's just..." Hungry, she walked over to the fresh-kill pile. Seeing many plump voles and squirrels, and a few scrawny pieces of prey, she picked up a small mouse. She also picked out a plump rabbit for the other kits. She padded over to the others, her jaws packed with prey. Laying down the rabbit gently, she walked a few fox-lengths away from the others and devoured her meager prey.

Stoneshine swiped a paw over his jaws, licking it before raising it up to wash his ears and whiskers. He began to thoroughly wash himself, attempting to ignore the rumbling in his stomach.

He meowed lowly, as he attempted to rip out the ferns to get to the mouse. He ripped off another clump of ferns, revealing the plump grey mouse. He striked it with a powerful paw, snapping it's neck swiftly. He picked it up gently and took it away, hopping back up the tree and starting to eat.

All Tigerpaw was focused on was getting out of the territory. Tigerpaw ran through the forest blindly and didn't see a puddle of mud. She ran into it and slipped, landing on her belly. "Uggh!" Tigerpaw got up and tried to walk away from the mud, but she slipped and fell again. "Stoneshine, help!"

Stoneshine purred in amusement and found her, stuck in the mud. "Stay still." He mewed softly, as he leaned over the mud and carefully grasped the scruff of her neck, pulling her to safety.

Stoneshine stopped at the border between Leafclan and a large forest. It was still slightly flooding, the water at around a mousetail length, shallow enough to wade through easily. He stopped and waited for the rest silently.
