Wrong Side of Heaven

Everyone knows sinners go to Hell. And all who know of Hell, dream of Heaven; the great gleaming city of the afterlife. Only select few are permitted entry through the alabaster gold gates and the train of rapture only takes those who commit to redemption. Of course, there are other means of earning your ticket...

This roleplay takes place in it's own adaption of Heaven. A modern utopia; infinite skyscrapers, transportation that travels at the speed of light and generally anything that you could ever want. In here, you'll never want or need anything more. Other than being significantly better, it's quite a lot a modern urban city. It even has it's own government known as the Conclave; a circle consisting of angels called Seraphim (or Seraphs). They decide all that is law in Heaven and make business deals with Hell, as well as sign treaties.

However, it is not entirely perfect. In the streets, there roam gangs of Demons who have nowhere to go. They are 'too good' for Hell, but too 'misguided' for Heaven. These particular Demons are called "Limbos" and are generally mistreated by the Conclave. The Conclave has agreed to let them stay in Heaven, but they have no real rights and aren't given any opportunities. Most Angels look down upon them, others agree it is unfair. Although they want to help, no one dares defy the Seraphim.

[personality] Kas is a good toe shoes and has been even when she was alive. She has a want and need for success, wanting to have a good approval of other people. She has a heart of gold, wanting to do her best in everything she does and put as much effort forward, wanting the best. She is fairly kind though can come off as 'busy' or distracted, as she usually has a lot of things running in her mind. She can be sarcastic at times, and is a know it all and it fairly smug on the fact. She is patient but can have a temper if pushed, but that is rare. She always has the urge to do what is right, and loves to help people no matter what or who they are, seeing the good in people constantly.

[backstory] Kas lived her life as a teacher for young children, loving to take care of others and to teach. She had an average life, lived in her house with mother and father until she moved out on her own to become a teacher. She was always in the top of her class, in AP classes and being an excellent writer aswell. There was not one record of misbehavior in school, her record is clean and she wore a cross everyday.

[personality] People may think Luce should be hell but he actually hasn't,,done anything wrong. The reason why he's in limbo is because of his outlook in life. He is very bitter, god knows why and isn't the most sweetest person. He is prideful and doesn't like help, or helping people, and snaps at anyone who tries to get him to do so. He is very sarcastic and has a low patience for things, growing irritable very quickly and is impatient. It's hard for him to show any positive emotions, often finding himself weak when he actually does.

[backstory] Luce grew up on the downside of things though not to bad, his parents were divorced when he was young and he had a habit of not doing well in school. Besides that, he refrained from trouble which prevented him from going to hell. He never did anything bad, though he was close to starting fights. He just didnt have the patience for police, much less being sentenced to jail, so he refrained from trouble.

[personality]Elias is goofy, crude and often immature. He makes jokes at inappropriate moments and doesn't see why people get angry at him for it. He's essentially a child with a few rough edges. He's very cheerful and upbeat, despite having no reason to be and people often take it as an insult when they discuss touchy topics around him. Although it may seem ridiculous, people are drawn away from him for being so strangely happy. As a result he can't quite seem to fit in anywhere. If you thought he didn't care, you'd be wrong. He simply doesn't care to show it. What good would it do to carry the burden of a heavy heart and pass it off to others? He hates people to see his sorry side and despises others to see him in the blue. He doesn't want bad attention. Elias also has severe trust issues and won't open up to people at all.

[backstory]
Elias was the victim of verbal and physical abuse by his single father and a hand-full of people involved in his later life. This eventually led to his father's arrest, but the scars remained. Due to the trauma caused, he lived in constant irrational paranoia that those around him would turn on him.. and they did. Eventually, he snapped under pressure and was charged with first degree murder where in prison he 'punched his own ticket', so to say.

Biliah is quite shy, not the type to speak up unless he feels he has to. He is, quite often so, a "yes" man, and just plays along with what others say. This proves to be quite the problem, as the people he prefers to surround himself with are usually rowdy, and of the trouble-making sort. He doesn't understand what bad treatment is, at least to himself and tends to shrug these things off. Sticks around people he trusts when he can.
[backstory]
Despite being quite nice and gentle in nature, the fact that he's easily swayed and pushed around has lead him to his fate as a limbo. Following his trouble-making friends around, he dabbled in their misdeeds, getting himself in trouble countless times. Despite the guilt he faced for these actions, he continued, still pressured towards following them.
