(This is a spinoff from Tales of a Dungeon School, which is currently on hiatus)

Vivian Caruso Mancini. The few that actually know her name her as Viv Nil, and many more would come to call her the Silver Demon one day as well. She's from a pureblooded noble family far to the south on a peninsula, but of course, she'd have you believe she's been in the capital all her life with some kind of story about being an orphan. Both a spellcaster and a thief, she's the new breed of the arcane rogue. A master in both classes and certainly no Robin Hood, she's become one of the most well-regarded members of the Thieves Guild in her course of five years, and yet she's still somehow without many friends. Now, Viv's time in the Guild is about to get cut short as the city's guard is closing in thanks to the Everstein family, but that's unbeknownst to anyone save those affiliates. Alas, the downfall of the Guild comes soon, and it will be a hallmark victory for the capital, but what was life like when it was around?

(No patron slot since no one can be from the Dungeon School in this spinoff, nor a personality slot, as it will essentially be TBRP, meaning we'll have to learn about each other's characters through the experiences. If you require more info on the Tales world, send a pm to yours truly, but a lot of things will also be covered early in the role play as a kind of refresher. Typically, anything pertaining to character weapons, skills, etc. would go into Other, along with any other notes or questions.)

I'm just imagining Tales as like a tv show and 'tis great. I'm also imagining a littler Alohi running around her parents shop being rambunctious and annoying customers. You already saw my form but here it be again
Name: Autumn
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Chestnut coloured hair that stops just above her waist, dark green eyes that are almost a jade colour but not quite, and a fair skin tone. She wears an orangey brown cloak with a hood over a faded brown shirt, tan cargo-like pants, and brown boots. She also has a black belt on which hangs a silver sword with green vines etched into the handle, and numerous small daggers.

Name: Viv Nil/Lilith Arevinci/Enzo Scompillo
Age: 15/15/15
Gender: Female/Female/Male
Appearance: https://postimg.org/image/68ydcbqjr/ Hazel-gold eyes and chestnut brown hair. Viv wears black leggings, brown knee-high boots and a leather jerkin with a strap to connect the collar. Underneath the otherwise open jerkin, she wears a simple two-shaded brown tunic. A belt with many pouches wraps around her waist. / Lil is sharp-faced and young looking with a small, curvy figure and green eyes. Her dark brown hair is done up in a messy ponytail that extends to her waist and she prefers to wear tight-fitting leather clothing all dyed black with lots of pouches, buckles and straps. Her outfit is completed by a black scarf. / Enzo has facial features both masculine and young, and his build is athletic and of a smaller stature. His raven-coloured hair is done like a fauxhawk and he has striking gray-blue eyes with an outfit similar to Lil's.
Other: Lilith and Enzo are basically what passes as friends for Viv. They've been confidants of sorts for each other, and they enjoy having each other around. Viv and Lilith have always had a instinctual rivalry which Lilith takes less seriously than her competitor, not because she thinks she's the best, but the opposite in fact. Viv carries all sorts of daggers strapped to her, while Lilith uses two tonfas with crossbow enhancements that are sheathed in scabbards on her back. Enzo wields a long-bladed rapier that has sharpened edges sheathed in an ornamental scabbard on his waist.

( Leaf Nah, Alohi would still be in the Dungeon School, this is about a year prior. Anyhow, we can start right away)

The cloudy sky of the day barely allowed any light to filter through, and pushed out all the shadows from their corners, which created the perfect environment for some daytime thieving for the Guild. People in the market and residential districts of the capital were especially afraid of days like this. For over a decade, this guild of thieves has run amok through the city, stealing, robbing, and eavesdropping on important information and simply even the personal lives of the average citizens, and all of this was even more present where the majority of the people were found in.
Thanks to magic however, none of the advantages she was gaining today mattered at all to Viv Nil. Like honestly, who needs shadows when you have invisibility, right? Speaking of Viv Nil, she was eyeing her first target of the day from right under their nose. Quite literally, she was sat down pretending to play with a deck of cards, and he was right next to her, holding out a coin purse as he looked at what he could buy from the merchant stall they were at. The gilnea in that bag was so close she felt like she already had it. Of course, she'd need someone else to distract the people standing around them first; namely help from one of the few thieves she'd come out with, so that any potential witnesses were eliminated from seeing her theft at work. Afterwards, a bit of magic that would trick the mind into feeling like the man still had the purse would be used, and Viv would slip away before he realized it was gone.
The other magic she was using was a form of telepathy that allowed a link between all of those who were connected, and she gave the signal to the group of thieves, who were hidden elsewhere, through that link, letting them know that it was time to start the distraction. Perhaps they would do a magic show--well, a lame, fake magic show--to get everyone's attention, or maybe one of them would start shouting about some grand new product that just came out. Whatever they would do, Viv was ready.

Grimshadow Ah okey. Walp now I can see mah child training)

Autumn, who'd gone out with Viv, had been thinking of something to distract people with when she got the signal. Hearing something else in her head besides her own voice confused her momentarily before she jumped out of the shadows, cloak billowing out all around her. "Come one, come all to see sword and knife juggling!" She shouted, yanking her silver sword off of her belt and twirling it in an outstretched palm to attract people. Bystanders were turning to look and were beginning to accumulate in a crowd as she slipped the sword back onto her belt and taking a few knives off from the numerous that hung off the black leather. The fair-skinned girl flashed her dark green eyes mischievously and tossed them up to begin the juggling. Occasionally she'd have to twist her arm uncomfortably to grasp the handle of a knife that had flipped a little too much.

( Leaf I wonder what all the others would be doing)

In the sudden bustle of people due to the impromptu street performance, Viv acted like she wanted to watch what was happening as well, so she stood up on her tip-toes on top of the box she'd used to sit on before pretending to lose her balance, in which she stepped off before she could fall, and stumbled right into the target who had a confused look about all the things that were going on all of a sudden. "Sorry, mister, 'was just trying to get a look!" she apologized over the noisy cacophony that was being created. In the man's distraction, Viv had slipped the coin purse from his hand, and at the same time she touched it, a spell transferred onto him, giving him an imaginary feeling that his coinage was still there. Without even waiting for him to recover, she pushed through the edge of the crowd to get away, and almost like it was destiny, as she was doing so, another purse came right into her view, and more importantly into reach, so she cut it from its owner's belt along the way with a smirk. I got the gilnea! Finish your act and regroup on the roof of the tower nearby, Viv ordered telepathically as she emerged from all of the people.
At the same time that Viv had gotten her catch, Lilith and Enzo were in the crowd pickpocketing their own coins, which was was easy enough. What with all the closeness of everyone's proximity, it was near impossible to notice a few straying hands snatching up what they shouldn't be, and the two got a pretty decent haul before getting out to regroup with the others.

Grimshadow Kalo would be off stalking and stealing outside of the city but as for the others I have no idea what they might be doing)

Autumn grinned and caught all the knives as they fell one by one and put them back on her belt. "Thank you for watching!" She thanked all the people, bowing before walking off to the tower. She glanced at the top and started heaving herself up, using small nooks and crannies as a support. A sudden gust of wind made her chestnut hair blow into her face and she tried whipping her head to the right to get it to move but it refused. She sighed and quickly brushed it away before reaching up with the same hand and pulling up all the way. She rolled lazily over the top of the tower, looking at the sky with a blotted out sun and thanked the gods silently.

( Leaf Ugh, kill me, Viv and Erin are just too...gah, and I think I know how to set Iedeo and Elise down the path of love ^-^)

Having already reached the top a few minutes ago since she was the first one done, Viv had taken to reclining on the shingles that made up the roof. The climbing had been easy, at least for the first couple stories, as she'd used the building next to it to wall-jump between them to launch herself up, and by the time she could no longer do that, there were plenty of things that jutted out around the tower that she could grab onto to lift herself up, and eventually onto the roof.
While Viv had been reclining, she was also tossing one of her newfound purses filled with gilnea, throwing it up and catching it, and repeating the same thing over and over, and each time it jingled with the sound of the coins clinking together, which was absolute music to her ears. Viv was apparently very good at catching. When Autumn got up, she caught the bag one last time then sat up. "Good work on that distraction, no one was paying attention at all. Most of 'em probably wont even know they've been robbed till they get home." She basked in the glory of it, adding a laughter to go along that sounded something like, kekeke. And just a few moments behind Autumn, Lilith and Enzo reached the top as well.

"We got sidetracked a bit when the crowd began breaking apart, but there was no issues," Enzo reported. Slightly behind him, Lilith had one brown bag that was likely filled with other purses and other loose gilnea that wasn't kept in one bundled in her arms.
"No kidding! That was a really good heist we just pulled off," Lilith exclaimed with apparent gleeful jumpiness as she rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet. "Let's get all this back to the Guild's treasury and take our share, and then maybe we can have a night out. Maybe even get you two girls a boy, hmm?" she suggested to the remaining two of her gender with a lecherous tone, while also leaving Enzo out, to which Viv rolled her eyes and brushed the idea away with a resounding, "No thanks, you cretinous deviant." That certainly shot Lil down.
"You need to learn to enjoy life some more, you're so naive, Viv, y'know?" she told her companion, taking a couple steps forward to get closer, but Viv wasn't listening, and Enzo simply gave Lilith a gentle pat on the back as his form of support.

"At least I can do better than you. Anywho, right, we're done here. Good work Autumn and Enzo...aaaand you too, Lil." Viv gave the perverted thief a snide stick out of her tongue at the mention of the name, but it was all done with affection and friendliness. Sometimes that girl just needs to break her neck. "And seriously, I really liked what you did, Autumn, you should come out with us from now on," and Enzo and Lilith agreed.

Autumn beamed. "Thanks!" She'd learned that tricking people was very easy if they thought the weapon had been lost and therefore learned to juggle them to make it easier. She'd figured out only recently that it made quite an interesting distraction and was pleased with herself for it. "I'd love to come out with you more. By the looks of it, you three pull in a good haul too," she said, glancing at the gilnea they'd stolen and at the dispersed crowd that had gone back to whatever it was they'd been doing before, whether it be shopping or simply taking a walk through the city.

Viv nodded several times in agreement; what they got today was enough to last them a couple good weeks. The man that she'd stolen from specifically was one that was on his way up to become a noble, so naturally, he had more gilnea on him. He'd definitely be in a rage later for this. The profit from him alone was probably about a thousand or so, and for doing the job, they would get about forty percent of that, while the rest would go into the Guild's treasury to be used as a sort of union fund. Gods, being in the Guild was great.
"I'm glad you think so, it'll be nice to have you around." There was a pause in action after that, but eventually Viv put a hand to her brow and swiveled in a circle, scanning the area around them. Turning to the three after about ten seconds of that, she notified them, "The alley below doesn't have anyone to see us. Let's climb down there and make our way back." Without waiting for a response, she bolted off the roof to land on one below, and just before she hit that, she snapped her fingers, and the spell that was casted made her land softly, almost like she'd jumped into a pool of water. The fall was so far that if she hadn't done so, she'd have a broken leg or three.

Grimshadow "or three." I was not aware Viv had 3 legs)

Autumn nodded and watched Viv jump off the roof of the tower and land perfectly fine before easing over the edge and making her way down. Climbing things was always fun to her. Not only was it plain fun, you could try to find something even higher to get to or spy on people. Spying was a key task in thievery anyway so the more fun she had doing it, the better! She jumped down the last few feet and landed with a barely audible "hup". She quickly scanned the ground just to make sure that none of the weapons she carried had fallen; it had happened before and blown her cover resulting in some panicked running and climbing away.

( Leaf :3 She doesn't, I just add little comments that Viv would say to my narrative. I do that with most of my characters, like, you'll probably notice that each narrative I make for a character has its own personality a lot of the time.)

On her way into the alley, which was just a dimly lit narrow space between a line of worn down buildings, Viv noticed a wanted sign. It said on the top, Wanted Alive, and it was offering a reward of three-thousand gilnea. In the print on the bottom it was written, The City's Watch of the capital is offering gilnea for the capture of thieves. Any apprehended thieves are to be brought to the nearest guardstation and handed to the guards on duty, who will pay you your sum of gilnea. Hah! That was laughable! Who would be stupid enough to do that? To subdue a thief would normally mean getting into a fight with one. That wasn't a very good idea. Despite the unlikelihood, Viv wasn't a fan of wanted posters, especially ones that were ordering the arrest of her people, so she ripped it off the wall, and was even more glad for doing so when she saw the ugly mug that was being used already for the portrait instead of her pretty face. She really needed to make a name for herself, but then that would come with its own tribulations that she didn't want. Not that she minded the attention, it was just for...more personal reasons.
After ripping the thing into shreds, she spat on it and moseyed her way through the alley until she got to Autumn and the other two. "Let's try and maintain a low profile on the way back, yeah? We're carrying a lot, so people might notice and find it weird that a gang of shady-looking teenagers is holding so much coin, among other things," she stopped to silently indicate with her eyes the weapons that they also had on them. "Just stick to the shadows or some such and other, okay?"

"You got it," Autumn said with a light shrug, sweeping the brown-orange coloured cloak over her shoulders to conceal the weapons she carried. She leaned back against an alley wall, fading into the shadows. Her dark green eyes and silver sword appeared to be the only visible colours that really popped put against the wall; wearing tan or brown clothes proved to be helpful when she went out to "work". She felt somewhat invisible though in the shadows. That was the point right? She grasped that but still felt as if there were something missing or not right. Ah well. She shrugged the thoughts and feelings off for now; she'd come back to it later if she remembered,

Taking the lead, Viv stepped into the shadows as well, her whole form melding into the scenery to any onlookers. Unless someone was specifically looking for them, they would pass by as any normal person would. By the time they emerged out of the alley, the cloud cover had been reduced slightly, and the sun just barely managed to peek through the sky, so that even if you were looking at the foggy white disk, it wouldn't manage to hurt your eyes. The street they'd come out on looked like one of the less taken care of places of the district; some of the stone buildings were cracked, the road was simply a dirt path, littered with bumps and tiny holes, and the wooden fences people had constructed were in disrepair as well, but those conditions still didn't stop the dozens of pedestrians moving through. However, one of the better looking things around was the stream that flowed through, right in between this part of the market district and the more stately part on the other side, crossed by a cobblestone bridge. Most of the people were making their way across that, but there were even some merchant stalls set up along the bank that they were browsing through.
On the way back, when there were no shadows to take cover in, Viv was careful not to catch attention when she was forced to make her way through all the people. She slipped through them gracefully yet without any undue grandeur that made her stand out, and before long, they were making it into the labour district. Thankfully, this place mostly involved workers, with very few other people making their way through, and even then, the workers were in factories or other buildings. It was easy to tell the labour district was quite industrial as all the roads here were layered in stone with practically no plantlife whatsoever, and besides the sound of people working, the most you'd get was a bird chirp or two every once in a while. Everything looked pretty dull, but the environment and minimalistic amount of people made things a lot safer for the group of thieves at least, so much that Viv felt comfortable starting up a chat.
"What're your guys' plans for the gilnea we got today? I'm thinking of buying another dagger to have another adventure with," she started. "I don't think I've got quite enough." Her musing made one of her fingers slide over the pommels of the ones she had in her belt as an unconscious action one would do from performing it often, like a habit.

"Not enough? You've got so many daggers you could start an army. I'm being serious." Lilith, the first to respond, answered with a gibe. "And before you begin assuming what I know you're assuming, no, I'm actually not using mine for boys. I know, what a surprise."

"No one said anything," Viv retaliated defensively. She was thinking that, because c'mon, it's Lil, but she made no mention of it. "To be fair though, you did offer the idea to Autumn and me, so why shouldn't I think you'd do that?" the messy haired girl challenged.

"Because a thief's gotta live? I'm planning on doing something healthy with what I got. I'll buy some nutritious rations, cook 'em all up, and have a feast. A relaxing bath at a spa would do me some good as well," Lilith divulged with a happy note in her voice. "Which is why we outta have a night out. Do something fun and relaxing; we've earned it."

Enzo could never get enough of their back-and-forth bickering. As exhausting as it could get sometimes, it was moments like this that he actually enjoyed. "Lil's got a point. It wouldn't hurt to put a dent in our profits if we can get some enjoyment out of it. I've got nothing better to do with mine anyhow besides paying for basic necessities and repairs. What's gilnea good for if you're not gonna spend it, right?"

"Exactly my point, thank you Enzo. If you're still not up to it, Viv, how about we let Autumn be the deciding vote?" Lilith suggested, but Viv shot back by saying, "I never said I wasn't up for it, but sure, final input, what do you think Autumn?" At the same time, three heads all turned to look at the chestnut haired girl.

Autumn, who'd been smiling as the two argued, only blinked at Viv, Lilith, and Enzo when they turned to look at her. After a moment of silence- she was also thinking about it- she said, "I'm going to have to say something to enjoy ourselves. Release some tension and stress or whatever." She thought that all four of them could treat themselves to something nice. Doing what they did and not rewarding one's hard work was kind of sucky. Absentmindedly, she slipped a dagger from her belt and began twirling it in her palm, a skill that had taken quite some time to learn but was nice. Occasionally she cracked a smile because it tickled there.

The same three heads nodded all at once, accepting of the response.
"I hope you won't be trying to force me into some primped up get-up for this," Viv directed the comment to Lilith with a turn of her head to the fellow thief. Unlike Lil, she hated wearing refined and gaudy clothing. Simple, comfortable things were more her style. "I don't mind paying for tonight, but I'm certainly not wasting my profits on something I'll never wear again. Could you imagine having to fight in something like that? Its restricting fabric would rip at the slightest movement. Like, whoops, that's awkward. And by the Gods, trying to sneak around in that stuff? I don't get you sometimes, Lil. Actually, I take that back, I don't get you at all."

Lilith's reply was a casual, dismissing shrug. "You don't need to get me, I am who I am, and I like pretty things." Her statement was absolutely true; Lil spent more time and gilnea shopping for things to make her look better than what she actually needed, all for the reason that it looked good. Flashy jewel? Now it's a necklace for Lil. Some fine velvet? Oh look, it became a scarf. What happened to that scarf? Well, it ripped the first time she took it out. Can you imagine? But oh well, Lil was Lil.

"I see. That must be why we're friends, huh?" Viv chuckled, a sly cheshire grin plastered to her face. "I'm surprised you don't just wear me then, not that I'd ever let you, but I'd enjoy the fight." The moment she said that, she stopped in her tracks and spun around before lowering herself into an exaggerated fighting stance.

A roll of the eyes showed that Lilith wasn't interested. "Please, you're not that pretty. Anyhow, if you want to keep it that way, don't you think getting into fights is a good way to ruin such a delicate thing?"

Sassy as ever, Viv answered, "Not when I'll be dodging all your attacks, no. Like, seriously, you said you're Lil, well I'm Viv. Viv the lightning-quick, steal your pants from right off you, super sly thief with a penchant for magic, Viv!" Just to prove her point, she dashed through Lil and Enzo as fast as a bolt and swiped the dagger right from the hand of Autumn, all in the blink of an eye, then appeared right back where she started while throwing the dagger up and continuing to juggle it. After a couple of those, and not even looking, Viv threw it high and moved one leg forward then extended her hand towards the group, and the dagger fell perfectly into it, the tip pointing back at its owner. "How's that?" she asked with a cheeky wink, to which Lil claimed she was a showoff.

Autumn frowned when suddenly her dagger was no longer in her hand and looked at Viv who'd started juggling it. She took the knife back when the girl was done and was pointing at her with it. "Nice," she commented, resuming twirling it again in her palm. She'd wanted to do it using her sword but it being a sword and much larger than the dagger, it was harder to balance evenly. 'Sides, if it fell, it could do much more damage than a simple small knife. She got the feeling that Viv and Lil argued like this multiple times a day, a thought that made her smile because them bickering was quite entertaining. They seemed to be good enough friends that no matter what an argument was about, they'd be the same as always.

When Autumn took her dagger back, Viv did a twirl of the hand and a little curtsey, saying, "M'lady, you honour me with your compliment," and finished up by swinging her arm across her chest at the same time she spun on her heel to take a big step forwards to get their troupe moving again. It was obvious that Viv enjoyed exaggerated gestures; it was a lot of fun being animated, and it added so much energy and character into the way she moved.
Finally, after another hour's worth of walking, they were home. Well, almost home. The thieves passed under the gate along the stone brick road leading into the political district, and boy, was the view spectacular here. There were even streetlights, fueled by mana. This whole area was named the political district because this was where the legislative building was located, along with the prime minster's home--Gods bless him--and the homes of many other nobles and ministers. Each building was the size of a mansion, most of which were protected by stone walls, bordered by actual sidewalks on the outside, and they had metal spikes protruding from at the tops to keep intruders out. Many of the buildings themselves were constructed from a classy mix of engraved, smooth stone bricks and oak wood, but they all looked different; some had a main structure with wings coming off the sides, others were built in a sort of semi-circle, and some looked more like villas. Their windows would sometimes be stained, depicting images of family members or other important things, and some were just clear, and outside each mansion was a spectacular garden that featured exotic plants, pools, and hedgerows. Each was beautiful in their own right, but the one the thieves were headed to was tucked away, out of a stroller's view. It was hidden in plain sight really, which was a classic move for thieves, because who would ever guess the head of their organization would be located right under their nose? The wall around the building was so high you couldn't even see the roof if you were on foot, and the only way to get through was past a wooden door, closed by several combination locks that only the Thieves Guild members knew. Atop the walls that finished the door, there were a few wooden tower huts for the place's watchful protectors.
Knowing the combinations to these locks by heart, Viv entered them, and each one was successfully undone with a click. In each lock was a mechanism that counted down a timer, and when that ran out, the locks would re-engage, so they had to be quick about getting inside.

Autumn snorted when Viv called her "Ma'am," thinking it was quite an odd thing to call her.
When they arrived at the Thieves Guild and Viv had undone the locks, she slipped inside, remembering the auto-lock feature. Could it be called that? In a way, yes, she supposed but then again, she was a thief, not a mechanic. Which led her to the thought of: Who built the place? She'd been guessing the thieves but she wasn't sure. Perhaps later or some other time she'd ask someone who'd been in the guild for a while and knew. She cast her dark green gaze around before looking back at the entrance for Viv, Lilith, and Enzo.

The trio of old friends came in after Autumn, with Viv shutting the door behind them. A moment later, another click following the door being closed notified them that the locks were re-engaged, making it a certainty that no one else could get in without knowing the codes.
The garden that was behind these wall was simpler than the others they'd seen coming in, with flowers like daisies, lilacs, and tulips on display, along with a small fountain outside the front door of the manor. Save for the floral growth however, everything looked almost abandoned on the outside. Not one thing stirred, and the only hint of human life was the sentries patrolling the perimeter of the wall, but you had to be actively searching to notice them. Even the shutters to the windows were drawn, but sometimes it paid to keep a low-profile, as low a profile as a mansion with giant walls could get, that is, meaning, the purchase of exotic flora and an active environment would be sure to draw attention to the people that lived here. As long as everyone else assumed it was just some hermit living his days out in isolation, things would be fine; no questions being asked meant no problems were being raised, and that was the way the Guild liked it. And so did Viv.
Back to the group at hand, Viv took them up the steps of the patio and opened the door to the mansion, their base of operations. It was hard to see at first in the smokey atmosphere thanks to the burning incense that smelled of vanilla, among other things that created smoke, and the immediate impression the building gave was a sort of bar scene, with all kinds of people moving about, playing card games in the side rooms or drinking at bars, and everything was quite noisy. Along the walls, gaslit sconces were the only thing that brightened this place up, as, mentioned before, the shutters on every window were closed.
The first thing Viv did once they were inside was steal a drink off a fellow thief who wasn't looking, and she downed it in one gulp before placing it back where she got it from, in all its emptiness, a would-be surprise for its owner. Who ever said there was honour among thieves? What a ridiculous idiom. Sure, they had their morals, but as long as their antics didn't cross them, there was no problem in a trick.
Raising a finger to the air, Viv bellowed, "To the treasury!"

Autumn let her shoulders droop from the relaxation of being at a homey place. When Viv said what she'd said, she suddenly felt like a pirate and had the urge to yell out "YARRRRR" but didn't because that'd be weird and embarrassing. I mean, she liked to be weird, it was part of her, but that was mostly reserved for those she was close to. Like, really close. Really really close. Close enough to poke them (Aren't I just great at posts? x3 *pokes because why not poke*). She started walking to the treasury, kind of excited almost. It was always a proud sight to look at what the guild had and their hard earned money that had been earned by someone else. And whatever else might be there. She'd seen a few thieves throw it random things in on occasion.

( Leaf That post was glorious )

The entrance to the treasury was a vault door located at the back of the estate. Whenever a thief went out on heists, they had to sign out a key that allowed them to access it. Plunging said key into its respective keyhole, Viv turned it and unlatched the lever that bolted the door, which she then pulled to retract, and in turn, the door was finally pushed open. Inside, coffers were everywhere, filled with all kinds of gilnea, and in the centre of the room was a golden, ornate scale. Adding her own catch to the brown bag that Lilith carried and placing it on, a meter determined how much it weighed, and then translated that into value. What that came out to be, the thieves would get forty percent of, and when everything was said and done, each one of them was holding an extra five-hundred and twenty-five gilnea, while the remainder was sorted into the treasury's funds. Now, this is where honour among thieves was expected, since anyone with a key could easily come in and take whatever they wanted. However, they still needed a way to prevent theft, and that was through an activity log. Any thief coming in to deliver their share must write down the total value they collected, along with their take from that, and in the morning, an inspector would come in and everything was weighed and tallied to see if it all matched up. The system wasn't foolproof, and every now and then a few coins did go missing, but it still worked most of the time nonetheless.

Autumn shook the little bag the gilnea was in, enjoying both the jingle of the money and the nice tune it produced. She turned to look at everyone else. "So what should we do as reward?" She asked them. She couldn't think of too many things and was hoping they had better ideas on what to treat themselves on than her.

At Autumn's question, Lilith turned to answer first. "A nice dinner for sure, and I expect everyone to at least be in decent attire for that, and perhaps we can go to a spa before or after that for a swim and relaxation. That was my idea for the night, unless anyone else wants to add on," but there was a unanimous silence, so she carried on after that was made clear. "Maybe, if it doesn't get too late, we'll walk around the city and see what there is as well." Seemingly all in agreement with that, Viv was the second to say anything. "Sounds good, I'll be sure to wear the tattiest clothing I have. Let's get ready and we'll all meet back up in the front," she concluded, and taking her gilnea with her, Viv went off to her quarters, dropping off the key to the treasury back in the nearest office on the way there and leaving behind an unhappy Lil. She hoped that Viv was joking about wearing her tattiest clothing, otherwise, contrary to what the other girl believed, Lil would force her into a so called "primped up get up", and she'd succeed in doing so.

Autumn left and went back to her quarters. She changed out of her tan clothes and orangey-brown cloak into a simple blue t-shirt with black pants that were very similar to leggings. She tugged on some regular brown boots and quickly glanced in a mirror. She took one look at her hair and scrambled to find something to put it up with. When had it gotten so messy and tangled? She didn't know and she didn't really bother about her looks but she hated when her hair it messy and tangled. She finally found a leather strip that she'd used as a hairtie before and tied it back, looking in the mirror again to see that she looked much less like an octopus had died on her head and drooped all of its tentacles down, dangly and loose. The girl took her time walking back to the front, figuring that while Viv and Enzo might not take as long to get ready, Lilith might. Just a guess on how she acted though.

To Lilith's surprise and delight, Viv was looking pretty decent. Not very fashionable, but nevertheless, decent. She was wearing a wine-red blouse underneath a white and green dirndl dress that cut off just above her knees, and fixed to her waist by a belt, but she wore the same boots as earlier. All in all, she could easily pass as an ordinary citizen, perhaps even bordering on noble's daughter, which was slightly ironic. Nothing could be done about the girl's unruly hair though; it always looked so thick and uneven, but Lilith thanked the Gods anyways. She'd never understand how Viv attracted so much attention; more than herself even. However, it was Autumn that she found left a lot to be desired. While the girl had tidied up her hair, the simple clothing she wore made her look like she'd gone to bed in her casual clothes and hadn't decided what to wear yet after she woke up, but oh well. She was happy about the boy of the group, Enzo, who had dressed up in a clean white tunic that he wore a brown coat over, as well as dark brown trousers and leather boots. Nothing spiffy, yet he looked good anyways. Finally, it came to the most regal of the four, who had indeed spent more time than any of them in getting ready. Befitting her as a daughter of the Arevincii, she wore their colours; a black and gold dress with a matching corset and puffy sleeves. She'd also let down her hair and brushed it, and even applied a bit of makeup, mostly for her eyes and contouring. Beyond a doubt, she was the most "primped up". They'd definitely make an odd-looking bunch in public.
The moment that Lilith showed up, Viv had been looking at her in horror. She was so girly! What kind of thief was she? And what was the makeup for? It was just going to get ruined in the baths. Gods was she dumb. Nudging the girl in the side, Viv told her, "Have no fear, Lil, I'll defend you from all the boys and send 'em running!" Which was the exact opposite of what Lilith wanted, and Viv knew, which is why she said it.
Thinking her reply quite clever, Lilith retorted with an upturned nose, as if in disdain, "And I'll be sure to let all the pigs have at you. It's a good thing there'll be mud baths as well, you'll fit right in."

Viv was pretty impressed with that quip. It was probably the smartest thing that had ever come out of that girl's mouth, but she easily fired back, "Actually, I just used my magic to replace the boys with them is all," but as Lilith opened her mouth to reply, Enzo cut in, "Girls, quiet, you're both beautiful, now can we get a move on or what?" And both of them conceded with a nod, although Viv held a smug grin plastered to her face, inches away from Lilith's, and not being able to say anything back irked Lil to no end as she could only stare back at such a self-satisfied look. Holding out an arm in the direction to the door, she mumbled, "Shall we?"

"We shall," answered Viv, grin not leaving her face. Spinning on her heel, she reached over and took Autumn by the arm and led them out. "I don't know where we're going, but I'll figure it out. Or Lil will take the lead, 'cause she knows."

Autumn, who owned nothing but regular shirts and pants, had been taken aback a little on sight of what the other three were wearing. She rarely went out to enjoy herself thus felt she had no need to buy anything nicer than casual clothes. Contemplating Lil's personality for a moment though, she found that no it didn't really surprise her that she was wearing what she was. She could see Enzo occasionally wearing something a little nicer like he was; it was Viv who took her aback. The girl didn't seem like she even owned anything that would counter her personality. Autumn felt a light and easy smile take its place as they marched out and when Viv said that she had no idea where she was going, she realised she didn't either. Good thing Lilith probably knew, as Viv had also said.

With Viv skipping down the patio steps and Autumn in tow, the group repeated the same procedure they used to get into the estate to leave, unlocking the mechanism and getting out before it re-engaged. Still holding Autumn by the arm, Viv twisted to look back, shooting a look directly at Lilith, who gave a questioning one in return. Both of them seemed to be thinking something, but it was impossible to discern what it was Viv intended until she spoke. "Again, I don't know where we're going," the thief began, eyes flitting to the girl she held in her grip, "So, why not make an adventure out of this?" Feeling particularly mischievous, she added, "And at Lil's expense." It was in Viv's nature to cause trouble, she couldn't help it. After all, what was the harm in being a slight hassle when it came with so much fun?
Before anyone could question what Viv meant, she spoke again, "C'mon, Autumn, we're taking the scenic route!" Immediately bolting with the girl, Viv took a left and ran down the nearest street, leaving the other two behind in confusion. As soon as they'd gotten far enough away, and without even a pant from their sprint, she slowed down and went between two of the mansions to scan them. Her eyes drifted up and down the walls that guarded them as she determined something. "Sorry about dragging you off, I didn't want to be stuck with those two bores the whole walk; they'd never do something like this," she explained in the middle of her process, throwing her gaze in the direction of Autumn suddenly before pointing up at the gray stone in front of them. "Anywho, if we climb the walls here, we can get onto the rooftops and take them all the way to the gate between the districts. While we're enjoying the magnificent view," she stopped to emphasize "magnificent" with outstretched arms, "We can wait for those two there. It'll be fun, especially if the guards chase after us. 'Oh look, two maidens! They shouldn't be up where it's so dangerous. Let's go save 'em, lads!" Viv imitated how she imagined they would sound, throwing her arms around in a mock display. "Then we show them who's the real maidens!" she ended, slamming her fist into her palm. "Hee hee hee!"

Autumn grinned. "I like that!" Not a moment passed before she started scaling the wall, climbing it nimbly and quickly. The stone was rough beneath her hands as she scaled the wall, using the nooks and crannies to give her more support, using the same spots to put her feet on so that her legs weren't just dangling beneath her. She felt the top of the wall and heaved up and over it, springing back up. She peered over the edge, looking at Viv with a slightly clever glint in her dark green eyes.

Viv shot her the same look and flashed a smile before she sprang onto the wall and kicked off into the other, her leaps as light and graceful as wind. There was probably a hint of magic in there somewhere. On the final jump, she went over the edge of the wall and landed without missing a beat right next to Autumn, finishing with a hands-on-hips pose, legs spread apart, and the sunset in front of her; the vanishing clouds being lit up brilliantly by the sun's light. She'd been careful not to catch her dress on the way up; had she done so, the end wouldn't have been as glorious as it were.
After basking that way for a bit, Viv swung one foot over the edge and faced Autumn, balancing on the other foot as she just stared, intensely so. She always seemed to be thinking about her next scheme. Then her features lit up and she tugged on her, and suddenly they had swapped places. On the narrow wall, that was a dangerously impressive feat. What Viv had done was pull Autumn towards her so she could use the girl as weight to anchor them and swing around her and onto the other side, but it all seemed to happen in an instant to them. "Hm...Lil would never let me do that. I like that you're a lot less serious than her. Thank the Gods."

Autumn scanned the building ahead of them, judging how far she'd need to jump. "Thanks," she said before running along the narrow edge. She knew that there was every possibility she could slip and take a nice fall yet she didn't misplace her footing on the top of the stone wall. Reaching the end of the wall, she used one foot to push off of it and jumped. Her feet connected with the top of the next building almost as soon as she had leaped between the two, giving a neat landing that could almost be graceful. She looked back at Viv. "Come on! I bet they've hardly moved from the guild!" She called with a small giggle.

The thief gazed at her from across the way then looked at everything around them, searchingly. She's probably right, she surmised as she was doing so. Soon enough, Viv spotted a more exciting approach to get to the district gate and she leapt across the gap between the wall she was on and the mansion that was kept within it before running along a line attached to its roof and over to the next building, practically tightroping her way there, then sprinting across the shingles, each one making a stony chipping sound on every step. She then somersaulted off the edge and landed on the lower roof below with a roll onto her feet, continuing her stride. The roof soon slanted in front of her but she kicked her way up and pulled herself over before sliding down the other side, where it ended, so she had to push off and catch the ledge of the next wall with a grunt. At this point, Viv had already overtaken Autumn, and as she kept moving on, she disappeared behind the other buildings.

Not to be outdone, Autumn began sprinting on the tops of buildings and along ledges and jumping to the next building as she had done previously. She soon caught sight of Viv and quickened her pace a little to nearly match the other thief's. Her hair, even tied, billowed out from behind her and she felt free. She felt like a cheetah or perhaps a leopard; a predator who was born both dangerous and graceful, a deadly form of beauty. Not that she thought she was beautiful. Her hair that was normally wild and untamed, her random shirts clashing with random pants, an orangey-brown cloak, a weaponry shop attached to her belt- yea she wasn't what she would call beautiful.

By the time they were at the end of the district, they had crossed countless rooftops without even being caught, which Viv thought was unfortunate. The two had pretty much been even the whole way there; where one would end up having to detour, so would the other eventually, and their distance constantly balanced out, but eventually it was Autumn who jumped the final gap to the wall first. Like much of the environment, once again, it was made of stone bricks, sealed and reinforced with mortar, and organized neatly, with the whole of it stretching so far on either side that you couldn't see where it ended from the gate, though the Dungeon School atop the plateau in the centre of the circular-spoked city could be seen a ways off. Parapets also ran along the sides of the wall like a rail, and a hut with windows that gave a view of what was ahead was built directly above the gate, with steps on either side of its entrances leading to its flat top, guarded by crenellations.
When it came for Viv to jump over as well, her lunge was too zealous, and the dress she wore only allowed for so much movement, so the skirt ripped. With the sudden unrestrained freedom, she overstepped and went stumbling into Autumn.

Autumn let out a surprised squeak when Viv crashed into her. She stumbled back before putting one foot back, pushing forward with the tips of her toes to balance. "You ok?" She asked the fellow thief, looking at her. She'd thought that Viv had been using magic as a precaution so as not to misjudge jumps or anything but she supposed not now. She realized that her hair had twisted up and was now tangled into the top of her head. It'd probably done that while she was running and jumping even in a ponytail. She reached up and delicately untangled her hair, wincing a little when she pulled too hard or yanked out a knot. Leave it to her hair to find the most painful thing to do. Before long though it was back to how it'd been right before they'd run off, dangling down her back, the leather strip barely visible.

Viv gave a thumbs up and assured Autumn, "I'm fine. Lil's gonna kill me when she sees I ripped my dress, though." She looked down at the tear and a moment passed as the other girl was fixing her hair, and eventually Viv took a breath before she moved up the steps up the side of the hut to sit on the edge between two of the crenellations. She gazed out at the city for a while after looking out for their two missing counterparts, and enjoyed the slight breeze and fading light from her high position. It was worth breaking the law; no civilians should ever be up on the battlements, but then, how would they get such a nice view? Sight-seeing certainly wasn't the best part of being a criminal, but it was one of its perks. Marvea had views as good as this; ones that overlooked the sea and mountains, Viv mused. The city and the valley, with a huge forest outside its natural rocky walls. That was gone now, but the urban environment sprawled out in front of her was just as good, so it didn't matter.

Autumn smiled and moved over to Viv, sitting down on the edge, her feet kicking out like a little kid would do if their legs didn't quite reach the floor from a chair. She had random thought number who-knows-by-now and wondered how long she could look at the sun at before desperately needing to look away. So to test that she closed her eyes and then reopened them wide to stare down the sun, counting in her head. 1,2,3,4, eyes being strained,5,6, look away. Spots of black danced at the edge of her vision and she blinked a few times to get rid of them. 6 seconds. That seemed pathetic to her until she realised that the sun was a big ball of fire. 6 seconds might have been the average time to be able to look at the sun, if anyone else had those random thoughts like she did and tested them out.

Viv's reflection wasn't over just yet, and Autumn's experimentation with the sun only reminded her. Turning her eyes on the girl and placing her hands in her lap, she started, "There's this old story I like...er, my parents used to tell it to me. It's all about how like, there used to be two suns, and that the moon could never reach the closer one, which is the only thing that could destroy the darkness that shrouded it, but despite that, it never gave up on trying. And...then eventually, the moon got so close that it could feel the wonderfully warm rays, but the shrouding darkness encompassed that sun too, expunging its light, and after, the moon fell from the sky, amidst a twilight world of turmoil. There though, the moon grew brighter with its own light, and it shone hope into the people that would burn away the darkness, before it vanished and left the world to bask in eternal sunlight under a rightful ruler." It can't be true though, I mean, there's no way Solluna (It's too good, I had to xD) had a sibling, since we know the Gods made our world with only one sun, and there's no Tales about this either, plus we see the moon in the sky every night, but I guess the meaning is there, and I like it. I dunno..." Viv kept looking at the other with critical, thinking eyes as she told the story, and after she was done too, wondering what she thought.

Autumn listened to the story, imagining every scene unfolding for the moon and sun. "That's a good story. I wonder if at some point maybe there was something going on. Maybe we weren't here or maybe it's been lost in history," she said, thinking. While that may have happened, it was probably unlikely as something that big would have been recorded and never forgotten. She tried to think for a moment if her parents had ever told stories like that. She couldn't bring any up so she brushed it off. Her parents hadn't been the type to tell stories or anything of the sort so she didn't have any stories to share.

( Leaf Well, thieves are just a byproduct of any world (and I love fantasy thieves), but I get what you mean. I have one more throwback planned.)

An always openminded person, Viv listened to what Autumn was hypothesizing, even though she believed it was unlikely. The Gods have been around for millennia, while humans were placed on Gaia at her creation, so there were really no myths surrounding the origins of the world, so how could they miss something so huge? Chances were, it was just a made up story told to entertain and fascinate the young'uns, and apparently it succeeded in doing so as it worked on her. "I guess it doesn't really matter in the end," she stated eventually. Jumping down from the ledge, she peered over the other side to see if she could spot Enzo and Lilith yet, but there was still no sign of them. Fair enough; Autumn and her had run pretty far ahead, literally parkouring the whole way there while the other two were probably just walking.
Just as Viv was about to go back, someone shouted, "Hey girl, get down from there!" In a commanding tone. The voice came from a guard who saw her while walking beneath the battlements, and a few others came to join him as well, with one carrying a ladder.

Autumn peered over the edge to look at the guards. She quickly put on an innocent smile. She wanted to have a little fun with the guards, maybe tricking them into a "damsel-in-distress" situation. She wasn't sure but whatever they did, she was going to take fun in doing it. And if it wasn't something considered fun, she'd make it fun. She pulled hair from the ponytail forward to twirl it around her finger delicately. "Hello guards! Are you here to save us? We wanted to take a look at the sunset from up high but accidentally locked the door and we can't open it now," she called to them in such a sickly-sweet voice that would make anyone who didn't know her think she was a cliche snobby rich girl and anyone who did possibly afraid that she could become a completely different person in a matter of seconds.

Taking note that there were two girls, the guards moved forwards to set the latter against the wall so they could climb while one stayed behind to watch them. "She must be a noble," another judged by the way Autumn spoke. "Except the brattier looking one looks more fitting." It seemed to Viv that when Autumn wanted to be, she could be a totally different person, and when she opened up that mouth, Viv immediately wanted to shut her up; she had no problem evading guards, but risking letting them get close to have a conversation with wasn't in her forte. In fact, it panicked her greatly, and she froze in fear, with no idea what to do.
"That's right, we're here to get you down, don't worry about the locked door," the one from earlier answered. He wondered if what she said was true, but that would be sorted out later. A few moments passed, and without the guards even reaching halfway up, it seemed most of the rungs on the ladder gave out and one by one the guards all fell back to the ground in a heap of metal and bodies, slowly getting back up at the urging of the one in charge. "Tch, damn old ladder, go grab another one," the guard commander ordered in a deflated voice as he looked up at the two girls, one with ethereally gold eyes and the other with dark green. "Sorry about that, we'll have you down in no time!" he called.
With a shake of her head to recover from her stock-stillness, Viv called back, "N-noooo problem, take your time, we're not going anywhere!" Before taking a step away and talking in hushed words to Autumn, "What now, should we just run for it? Or do you want to keep toying with them?"

Autumn watched as the guards grabbed another ladder and brought it over to the wall again. She turned to Viv, thinking. "Hm... What about when they get right on the edge of the building we make a run for it. Getting a nice shocked face is nice once in a while," she said, peering down at the guards for another moment. Sometimes she really did wonder how some of them were that naive and could be manipulated so easily. Wasn't their job to make sure that didn't happen for crimes? It was so but the fact that some of them were so easily used made her mentally facepalm.

Viv glanced down at the incoming guards and hm'd before responding, "That seems a bit lackluster if you're trying to get some enjoyment out of this. Why not do something more flashy?" she suggested, shooting Autumn a look.
Their time was running out while they discussed as the guards started climbing their way up the new ladder. It would be easy to keep posing as a couple of girls who got trapped up there, and they could even play with them a bit, and when the time was right, they could strike, pulling the ultimate part of their trick before making their escape, but whatever they did was dependent on what Autumn's mind stormed up; Viv was doing all this to let her have some fun and get closer after all.

Autumn gave Viv a sideways smile and said, "How about we wait and play with them for a bit before making our way to wherever Lil and Enzo are?" The look on the other girl's face had been enough to give her the slight idea that she might want to wait before ditching the guards. Looking back down at the guards, she say how close they were and got ready to become the cliche snobby rich girl again. In the few years she'd gone to school before becoming a thief and joining the guild, she'd had some encounters with the more popular girls who acted like everyone else was trash beneath their feet. Since she'd discovered that many of them didn't pay attention in anything, using the comebacks she normally used wouldn't have any effect, thus causing her to resort to mockery. She typically didn't like it but gosh darn it those girls could be so mean and annoying and egotistical. At least mocking those girls had come in handy in close situations.
