So I have attempted one of these once. Did not go down well. But I've decided to try again. I only do pixel art, and I only do cats. If you ask for something else than a cat I will reject it, because I'm only going to do cats.

Ok, I've got some tips as I am the original pixel-artist:

1; Texture the fur, add different shades of the base colour to the pelt.
2; put the eyes closer together and colour them,
3; I suggest you make the body larger, / head smaller, but if it's your style, I'm ok with it.

Try practice, also it helps to make the the paws a different shade, so you can see them for mono-coloured cats.
