mistypaw, mistypaw....hmmmmmm....sweetpaw liked that name. it was very-- what was the word? oh, mysterious! and she was supposed to become a warrior soon? "ohhh, what do you think her warrior name will be? i think mistybriar would sound super pretty-- oh, actually, warrior namesss...i want mine to be sweetrose!" she strayed off topic a bit, but still! the name sweetrose sounded absolutely beautiful. "oh yess, i think you'd like strikecry..." the apprentice trailed off, standing up to try and look for her mentor, who she did not spot. "buttt i dunno if he's here! you might see him at the borders or sometime soon...who knowssss!!"

beeblaze basically deflated at the answer, his frown deepening and the toms head low. two warriors? and riverclan just thought thunderclan killed them? he didn't know who the warriors could be, but he was more than sure one of them wasn't heronflight. "oh." he simply grunted in response. (also, what was it with idiots fighting so much? dumb fish cats and thunder cats and shadow cats.)

he seemed to perk up a bit at beebuzz introducing himself, nicked ear flicking slightly. "beeblaze, windclan." okay, he hadnt been making good impressions in his own clan, so maybe he could make some good impressions with other clan cats. "and did you guys kill two of riverclans warriors? or do they just want drama?" okay...maybe..he was a bit interested in the information.

leaders bickering and talking about the deaths, and cats from both of the opposing clans seeming to be on the verge of fighting each other. sprigcloud sighed, swiping his paw across the sand and staring at the sweep mark. as the other clans arrived, things seemed to calm down...a bit, perhaps, due to windclanners and shadowclanners keeping the thunderclan cats and riverclan cats from interacting with each other for the most part.

lifting his gaze from the ground, he found his eyes landing on an all too familiar looking cat. robinwhisker! she was...thunderclan-- but, surely she hadn't taken part in lionstorm and fawnsqueaks deaths! (he still doubted thunderclan even killed them.)

hesitantly, the warrior called out to the thunderclanner. "robinwhisker!" he would pat the spot beside him with his tail, inhaling slightly. okay, he was sure that he wanted to hear her side of the story. maybe if he knew what happened in thunderclan, he would know what the truth was.

Widening his eyes in indignation he said "I did not", realizing he was saying his suspicions of his clanmates out loud he added"I haven't heard of any cats talking about it".

Rookpaw, quite 8rritated, found someone running into her and, in fact, blaming her! They weren't ShadowClan, though seemed to be a warrior which made her hesitate. Standing up to warriors is a bad idea. But it was his fault anyway! And hey, he was just some rando.
"Me? You're the one that ran into me while I was sitting down! It absolutely was not my fault! You watch it!" she said coldly.

"Why don't you wait until you're a warrior before you challenge me?" Stonewing growled. "And by then, I'll be the deputy."

"Hi, again!" Stormpaw bounded up to a RiverClan apprentice. "How are you doing?"
She had remembered Mistypaw from the previous Gathering and was eager to learn how she was doing. Maybe Mistypaw would teach her her some cool battle moves. Or Stormpaw could be the one to teach. That idea filled Stormpaw with energy.

Redspark hurried over to a spot on the edge of the cats Why...so...many...cats?! literally there were thousands of things that could go wrong in this situation one of them being the clans started ripping each other to shreds.

He was so distracted by his own thought that he dint even realize that he hadn't gotten up again and had ran into a tom. I'm sorry! he squeaked.

The tom was just minding his business. He was actually beginning to zone out - blocking out any arguments around him. Then there was a squeak, and he was on the floor.

Wormbite blinked up at the blob, a frown growing on his face. "How does one manage to run straight into someone?" He questioned, slowly rising to his paws - to his full height. At first he had thought the stranger had done it on purpose but it soon became clear that it was an accident. Redspark just seemed .. uhm, negative emotion. Wormbite sat back down.

"Why were you running?" Wormbite asked, tilting his head curiously at the tom. He couldn't pinpoint which clan Redspark was from exactly. "Who are you?"

I'm Redspark from WindClan he answered. He felt that not talking to him would cause him more trouble that running away. I was uhhh, thinking about somethinghe replied.

He stared at the ground and a fly buzzed by his ear. He sighed, he wished he could just fly away like that fly. It would mean that he wouldn't have to see all these strangers. He just hoped that Wormbite wouldn't decide to rip his eyes out or something. He seemed like a pretty nice guy.

Nightpaw
Nightpaw flattened her ears at the sound of RiverClan and ThunderClan. Why couldn't everyone just talk normally? Surely, raising your voice and yelling wasn't better then calming explaining your opinion. Feeling tired of listening, she got up and wandered around, looking for some apprentices to chat with. Her eyes lit up as she spotted two of them huddled together. Hurrying over, she introduced herself. "Hello. I'm Nightpaw." Noticing that one of them was from RiverClan, she meowed, "Why are our Clan's bickering with one another?"

Embershadow
Embershadow emerged from the bushes. He was arriving at the Gathering rather late, having felt the need to take a leak. His ears twitched at the sound of RiverClan and ThunderClan arguing. What was it this time? And where was Buckstar? His eyes roamed the clearing. ShadowClan was the last to arrive and it was rather packed. Stepping his way across the clearing, he squeezed into a spot and sat down. He noticed that Kestrelwing was representing RiverClan tonight. There seemed to be multiple changes in the high ranks.

Frostpaw
Frostpaw bounced into Seastones at the rear of ShadowClan. He stopped when he saw how many cats were milling around the clearing. It looked extra full tonight. Without any more delay, he sprang into action, pushing his way between the cats.

[post trimmed for quoting]

The russet tom inched his way to his mentor, Firesweep. This was his first Gathering, and as a mute apprentice, he was sure this would end out horribly. He didn't care what the leaders would say, he wanted to leave! He wanted to return to camp!
No, he wanted to cease from existence!
Redpaw shook his head and curled his tail between legs, as he hurried beside Firesweep.

The thought of a gathering was electrifying, to say the least.

Dedicated to supporting the disrupted clan, Firesweep walked alongside his clanmates with poise, burying disdain that threatened to break his demeanor. He's wised up to control his stature in the air of high tension - something his apprentice would come to learn and exercise in future events. He sympathized, undoubtedly. He sits with Redpaw, and speaks lowly to him while his green gaze scans the growing masses. "Be brave, Redpaw. We represent our clan out here."

When his eyes fall on the high rock, where their leaders very clearly differ, his tail whips twice in a brief glimpse of frustration. "What we hear today will surely test us."

Owltalon
Owltalon strolled into the clearing. He was a bit late, but nothing important had started yet, so he figured he still had some time. He was a little surprised at the wave of hostility coming from RiverClan and ThunderClan. He also noticed that Buckstar was missing. He twisted his mouth. It seemed like there was a lot to unpack at this Gathering. He found a spot to himself and plopped down.

Bouncepaw

Ahhh oh no no- he was late! He'd been out for a walk, doing his normal duties and maybe...he drifted off a bit. When he'd returned to camp, everyone had already left. He hurriedly made his way to the seastones, trailing far behind his clan. The Gathering had already started, cats were bustling around, and...

Bouncepaw inherently tensed up, his fur bristling and his tail looking like some sort of diseased pinecone. He rushed over to his mentor, chattering near incoherently.

"E-Ebonyfang!!" he exclaimed, in front of the other medicine cats. He barely cared that they were there- "Wh-what are you doing here? Ar-aren't you sick? S-shouldn't you be resting? ....A-Are you delerious?" he asked the last question in a lower tone, he was concerned, surprised, and confused. He shook his head, straightening himself out, and sighing.

Then, it hit him- there were so many scents here, new scents, it seemed...wrong. Where was that kind medicine cat? Where was the leader of Riverclan, or...Thunderclan...? He stared over at a sea of new herbalists, swiveling his head back and forth, he was downright distraught.

Though he wasn't complaining that Thunderclan apprentice was missing from the roster...everyone else seemed to be missing as well. The only one he recognized was Snakeheart- who he'd not known had received his full name yet.

He took a stark interest in Peachfrost, who had such an interesting demeanor, but he felt no compassion- he knew not her or the cat she was addressing.

What in the stars was going on?

These thoughts poured through his mind, standing there, staring, fretting over his mentor, and being horrified at the instability of the clans.

He sat.

The russet apprentice furrowed his brow but nodded. At least those words put some calmness in him. Trying his best to relax, he tucked his paws under his belly, breathing hard and pinning his ears back.
There were so many new scents to get used to.

"Fish Dad!" Fernpaw chirped once he was on Kestrelstar's back, flopping down against it. His claws were lightly hooked into Kestrelstar's fur, just enough to maintain his grip so he wouldn't slide off. "You're a Star cat now too!"

It was incredibly exciting to see his buddy running the Rivercats, and Fernpaw couldn't help but start to roll on Fish Dad's back. One paw remained awkwardly snagged on Fish Dad as he twisted his body around, belly exposed to the sky, a happy purr in his throat. "This is cool!"

He was blissfully unaware of how serious the tensions were between the Thundercats and Rivercats, and was just having a good time with his Fish Bird Star.

Flutterpaw glanced up, a little distrustful but still happier now that she was distracted. "No, actually," she admitted, her paws fidgeting. "This is my first one. W-what Clan are you from?" Of course. She said, meeting his gaze. He didn't seem to be very confident. Or honest. Either way... it didn't matter. This wasn't an interrogation or anything. Honestly, she didn't care much how much RiverClan had to eat. It wasn't her business, but it was polite. In some instances, at least. Not when they were harboring a psycho-killer. Oh, yes, I understand that. New leadership, new Clan. Very true. Hopefully for the best, of course.

He blinked in surprise. Oh, so she wasn't here to hiss at him about how RiverClan was the rise of all Dark Forest cats? Good. After those other two - he gave an annoyed glance at Moonbelly and Frogfang - he was happy to have actual conversation with a cat. "How's your day been? You probably don't want to hear this but life's been killing me the past few days. My mate Fernstream is having my kits soon, don't know when, and I try to go to the nursery everyday to give her some food. I'm so worried about her and the kits, but I know she'll be fine, I just keep panicking!" He stopped his blow-up with huge eyes staring at the molly, then he blinked and sat back, giving an awkward chuckle as his tail curled around his paws. "Ahem- sorry. Got caught up and..." Was Fernstream okay right now? Dear StarClan; he hoped a badger or dog didn't find it's way into camp and kill her! What if she was already dead? His ears flattened.

Quailpaw trailed along behind ShadowClan as he slinked into the Seastones clearing, head low and shoulders slumped. He took a place near the back of the throng and tried to avoid anyone's gaze, but he couldn't help but curl his lip as his hackles bristled with the sensation that everyone's eyes were on him. Him, or more likely, the lack of him. It had been quite a few sunrises since the dog battle but he still wasn't anywhere used to accustomed to his new hearing impairment. Sure, his ear had been damaged, but he never would've wished for it to be completely... gone. It seemed like everything was thrown off- his ability to talk with cats, his balance, his hunting sensitivities. Perhaps he would never be a useful warrior now.

The small ShadowClan tom gave a bob-tailed twitch that might have been a lash if it had had the length. He didn't want to talk to anyone. He didn't care about some silly ThunderClan and RiverClan dispute. All he wanted to do was go home.

~ ASHFEATHER ~

Ashfeather had come to the Gathering, and already, felt like a nervous wreck. Drama, drama, drama, almost instantly. A RiverClan warrior had apparently jumped onto the rock with the leaders, and had been tossed off. Speaking of which... there were two new leaders. Eveningstar, a huge lynx-point tabby tom, of ThunderClan, and Kestrelstar, a skinny gray tabby, who was the leader of RiverClan. Kestrelstar had been in the camp before, so she knew about him. However, she didn't know anything about Eveningstar. Tensions were clearly high between ThunderClan and RiverClan. She overheard something about Lionstorm attacking ThunderClan cats and a shudder ran through her. Drama was the last thing that they needed.

The undersized black she-cat huddled at the corner of the crowd, swallowing anxiously. A tiny bit of drool caught on one of her round cheeks and she pawed at the ground, a shiver running down her spine. Ashfeather looked over toward the deputy spot and saw... of course... Wolffang. She had been horrified when she'd found out that he'd become deputy, and then Featherwhisker had rejoined the Clan... it was a mess. Everything was coming back to haunt her. Her two kits had run off and now... when she'd thought things were looking up...

Ashfeather shook her head. Although she'd been surprised by Twilightstar's choice, she had to admit that it was a good one. Wolffang was strong, and loyal, and disciplined. He did things for WindClan, in their best interests. And she had to admit... she did agree with him sometimes. Ashfeather wasn't sure what to think. ShadowClan was arriving, at least now everyone was here. She looked around, wondering if anyone would want to talk to her. The she-cat at least was glad that they had a deputy... Twilightstar would take him out if he did anything. But that didn't mean that she wasn't worried. The black she-cat looked around the Gathering, already tense. No, things weren't going good. Was a war going to break out between ThunderClan and RiverClan, so soon after the whole WindClan and ShadowClan scenario? At least Eveningstar was trying to make peace...

Blinking after Whitewolf, Olivenose didn't quite understand what had twisted the she-cat's expressions so much, and why the sudden departure. Oh... oh no! Had she been late for something? That was the worst, and Olivenose should know. She was almost late to the Gathering herself! Bounding out of camp on the heels of Splashleap, catching up and bouncing around her Clanmates. But now here she was! She had made it! "Best of luck and may the light shine on you... wait, no that's not it! Dang it, Ol! I mean, uh, oh yeah! May the Star Cats light your path!" Okay, that had to be it. Lionstorm had said it so often! At least, the first part. She thought.

Oh well! With a skip and a face full of glee, the fluffy white molly bounced off around the Gathering yet again, still oblivious to the tensions crackling in the air.

The long haired reddish brown tom looked around, trying to spot him in all the cats. It was complete chaos here. He was sure to stick by his crush.

He gave a slight sigh of relief when he said that he was RiverClan. He was glad he wasn't a ShodowClan cat who would probably shred him to pieces if given the chance. When Wormbite asked him to eleborate he shifted his weight uncomfortably.

I, uh, just don't really like gatherings he replied. That wasn't completely true. He HATED them. They just always make me nervous, and the Clans always start fighting.

Streampelt looked at the cat that walked up to him. "Yes, I am Riverclan. My name's Streampelt. And who might you be?" He meowed, looking at her.

~Fiercepaw~
Fiercepaw looked at the she-cat that walked up to her. The cat had a slight frown on her face. Fiercepaw attempted to replicate the frown. "No, this is not my first gathering actually. And yes, I am in Riverclan but I wasn't a natural swimmer. I was born as a kittypet. Now, who are you?" She meowed, flicking her tail slightly.

Whitepaw looked at the apprentice that walked up to her. "Hi. I'm Whitepaw. Who are you?" She meowed, looking at the apprentice.
:heartbounce: FrostCat :heartbounce:

~Blackmist~
Blackmist nodded. He was already getting a bit comfortable with his apprentice and that was rare for him unless he really liked spending time with them. He wondered what the leaders were arguing about. At least they seemed to settle down when Twilightstar and Dawnstar arrived.
:heartbounce: feather lily :heartbounce:
a kittypet at birth? Well that was always interesting for a cat to be. She wondered if fiercepaw had been having a hard time fitting in. Her eyes softened as she said
You chose to be a swimmer not the worst possible option!
Snowybrook chuckled, her tail swished as she then proceeded
Im a thunderclan cat. Born in raised there. So do you like being an apprentice or do you feel as if you have no rights. she understood that was a very deep question but, she loved talking to apprentices who where smart.

Appleshine nodded, looking around now. Cats were settling, and she crouched next to Junipersong. "Really? No wonder," She breathed out. How would this gathering end? "I hope everyone keeps at least a little decency..we're supposed to come here in peace." She looked to Junipersong warily. "I hope things are cleared up for you all soon. I'd hate to see more bloodshed... Oh! I'm Appleshine by the way." She said warmly.

Junipersong shifted uncomfortably on her paws as she could already sense all the hostilities. Just looking among the crowd, seeing so much bristling fur, brought a deep sense of sorrow and unease to the big molly. "It would be a lot to ask of them, but I hope so too. Trouble and grief have plagued both clans. Im not surprised to see them taking their anger out on eachother. I was just hoping that some of them would be smart enough to see past that and keep things civil." She meowed somberly.

Huh, well. He supposed that made sense. "Gatherings are an annoyance .. but needed. Thunderclan on the other paw, is not needed, " Wormbite grumbled the last part. He did not understand but it was obvious his clanmates did and he would agree with them. Why did they have four clans, anyway? Perhaps they could lower it to three.

With a sigh, he let go of the annoyance he held. He could use it later. Blah blah, gatherings were supposed to be peaceful, blah blah, starclan starclan, blah. "You shouldn't worry. " He pointed out as if it would help Redspark. "If you worry too much you will die.. .. Or is that a saying for elders....?" Wormbite, please stop.

For Tiabirb (Starlingflight)

Whitewolf didn't know Lionstorm. But it was safe to assume--like any other cat--that he had plenty of friends. Those allies of his probably wouldn't think he'd have done something so horrific. But Lionstorm killed Dogspirit and Applepaw, and those were horrid truths. Those actions were more than just a breech of the Warrior Code...they screamed of unethical origin and treason. Whitewolf hated to wish the worst upon Lionstorm, but she believed firmly he should rot in the Dark Forest for all the harm he caused.

"There was more than that. But killing a Queen when the Code asks us not to kill at all..." Whitewolf trailed off, but Starlingflight firmly caught her off guard when she called her an inspiration. An inspiration to whom? Whitewolf...well, she was just...older. And had experienced copious amounts of loss. How was she inspiring? "I'm not sure these Leaders want to follow in my footsteps. I have been down paths so dark that not every cat should recover their light, should they choose to walk beside me. But that is why I try to teach and advise." Whitewolf didn't consider adopting the kits a noble act, but a necessity. Kits needed parents the way plants needed sunlight, and both would find themselves shrouded in darkness without the other.

Whitewolf listened as Starlingflight brought up the possibility of their meeting in battle. Yes...that was a chance Whitewolf had thought of. "I wouldn't want to harm a cat with your good sense. But I'm fastened to the Code." She sighed, torn ears drawing back as she found herself deep in thought. "I will fight for my new family and my Clan. But, in order to avoid the storm that might be coming, we must aim to soothe the hate in our Clans' hearts and replace it with an understanding of our differences."

Starlingflight

"From our choices, even the bad ones, are lessons that teach us how to be stronger than we think we are. You have the strength, courage and compassion to step up for what you know is right. Don't cut yourself short," Starlingflight purred gently. "What are the names of your little ones? If I may ask."

"I...I don't know if I will fight at all.." She admitted in a hushed tone, "Especially knowing now that Lionstorm, the cat that all of RiverClan adored and loved, killed a Queen in cold blood." She shook her head, "How can I fight when the reason I am fighting is soaked in the blood of the innocent?" She looked up at Whitewolf, anxiety pulsing in her eyes.

Appleshine

Appleshine nodded to the RiverClan warrior. "Sometimes it seems just a little much to ask, isn't it?" She sighed deeply to Junipersong. "When are we gonna have like, a really good, quick clean and to the point kind of Gathering? Why do all these dummies want to poke their heads in and stir the adder nests?" Yeah that's right! She called the High Ranks dummies! Except of course Twilightstar. The WindClan leader was wise and she didn't even want conflict, from what Appleshine could tell.

I'm sure Fernstream is fine. There are probably warrior back at camp guarding who would die to save her. No one would hurt a queen, or kits. Except.... for Lionstorm. Aspenstrike's voice caught in her throat. Oh Dogspirit. She had five kits! Or four. And Lionstorm just broke into camp and murdered her. The thought sickened her.

Tawnypaw watched as her leader started to babble on, as in a fight was about to come down. Her blue-gray gaze was wide and fearful. "It's true though! Buckstar was murdered by Lionstorm! He didn't kill ANYONE!You have got to believe us!" She squeaked, her voice fearful.

~~~~~
Lakepaw was mad. No. More than mad. She was furious. She isn't gonna let ThunderClan go easy on her. She was gonna make sure those stinging flea-bags were gonna pay. "HEY!" She yowled to some random ThunderClan cat. "WHY NOT THINK BEFORE KILLING ONE OF OURS YOU STINKING MANGY-PELT?!" She growled, her tail lashing angrily. (Open to any ThunderClan cat!)
~~~~~~

Cloverpaw..watched as the RiverClan and ThunderClan had high tensions. She didn't like it..at all. She turned over towards a cat beside her, her folded ears perking slightly. "What's going on between RiverClan and ThunderClan?.." She muttered slightly, her aqua gaze filled with some fear.

Lionstorm's name made his ears flatten. He was the reason ThunderClan and RiverClan were so on edge. "Well I'd never hurt anyone like he did. He's a horrible cat, but I'm determined to show that RiverClan is better now that Lionstorm's gone, too. Some cats just have to trust in us that we really are." He sighed. He hated the arguments and the fighting between his Clan and ThunderClan, but if they ever tried to attack his Clanmates, he'd use every ounce of his blood and soul to protect them. Thinking about kits made him want to get back to camp and play with a few of them. They were probably so bored without him around. He gave Aspenstrike a glance. "And you're probably right about Fernstream. I always get nervous over the most obnoxious things." He shook his head dismissively.

Worrying about your pregnant mate is a valid excuse for being nervous. I mean, I wouldn't know, but cats love their family. I understand that much. Aspenstrike said, tipping her head to the side and narrowing her eyes thoughtfully. Soon, the Gathering would start. One would think that that would make some cat excited, but not today. Not with everything that happened.

Whitewolf flicked a tattered ear. It had been a long time since she'd been flattered so, and she didn't want Starlingflight to notice the way her cheeks heated up. Oh...she was blushing. It must've been a long time indeed...no one near her age had thought she was quite so spectacular but Rosestream when they were growing up. And that hadn't exactly ended well. "Berrykit, Houndkit, Rainykit, and Budkit. I'm seeing to taking in the rest of Dogspirit's as well. She has three more."

While Whitewolf wasn't one to advocate for switching sides--especially because she didn't know Starlingflight's background in RiverClan--she considered for a moment. "If you decide not to fight and Kestrelstar makes your life difficult for it, I can put a good word in with Eveningstar. Someone like you should be more than welcome in ThunderClan, Starlingflight." The blood of the innocent...Whitewolf's ears perked as soon as Starlingflight mentioned it. No matter how hard she'd tried, she'd never been able to prevent it from spilling...

But perhaps this time could be different.

"Yeah... Thanks. I will."

All wonderful names, Starlingflight thought to herself. For a moment, a flicker of longing and sadness lingered in her eyes, and they seemed almost...far away. But if..if it does come to it...do you think Eveningstar would..really let me come to ThunderClan?" She hadn't even considered going to a different Clan. Truthfully, she had thought of just leaving the Clans altogether...But if she did go to ThunderClan, she could be with someone who..who understood her. Wasn't that worth it? And with all of those kits, Starlingflight couldn't help the prickle of jealousy that made her fur itch. Oh Featherkit...

Conflicted and depressed, Starlingflight rested her head on her paws. "Did you have kits before?" Being the age she was, it seemed possible that Whitewolf might have had a litter or two before now. She herself wasn't beyond the age of having kits...but Starlingflight knew she could never put herself through that again. Falling in love hurt. "Truly?" This...didn't come off as a surprise to Starlingflight. Love was love, no matter where it came from, or from who. It was a precious, special feeling. And it was devastating to lose it. "I'm..sorry to hear, if that means anything to you. I'm sure your mate is smiling down upon the family you have created, for yourself and for her." She said, genuinely smiling as she lifted her head to look upon Whitewolf.

"I..thank you for your sharing with me..and thank you for saying such. I try to be..helpful with my advice, but I haven't socialized in many a moon...so I'm kind of rusty," She chuckled. Did...did she tell Whitewolf? Well, yes. It was only fair. The Thunderclan warrior had chosen to share her past, and it was...well it was time Starlingflight opened up a little about hers, even if it hurt to crack the hard stone that had surrounded her heart after all this time. And despite only meeting Whitewolf, she felt as though the queen might understand her.

"I...when I was younger, I...had a mate." Starlingflight began, her words stammered, "A tom..and we had one kit." As she went on, she could feel her voice begin to struggle. It hurt so much to talk about. But Starlingflight hunched her shoulders, and like a stubborn hairball, she choked the rest out. "I made a mistake, several, and...my daughter died." A spasm wracked her body, a silent, painful sob that Starlingflight refused to let loose. The Gathering was no place for the wails of a mourning she-cat.

"I..I haven't..quite gotten over it. This happened many moons ago.." She whispered. In truth, it had only been a little under two years, but the grief was as fresh and strong as it had been the night her kit had been swept away from her.

For Tiabirb (Starlingflight)

Oh.

Starlingflight was crying.

Whitewolf wasn’t very good with the crying. But she was a mother now, so she supposed she might have to learn a thing or two about it. There wasn’t anything wrong with being sad. It was just that Whitewolf had spent a long time teaching herself not to cry in front of anyone. She slipped back in the ThunderClan clearing and choked up in front of Berrykit, but…she could only afford to give the world so many tears. And she felt like she’d already shed enough out of sadness and grief.

”Oh, my dear, blooming coriander,” Whitewolf whispered so softly she almost threw herself off at the sound of her own voice. “We all make mistakes. But what there are not are accidents, for our missteps teach us lessons as irreplaceable as time.” Truly, Whitewolf couldn’t imagine losing a child. She’d only had hers for a little while, but she’d rage at life itself if some ungodly force came to take one of her dears away. “All your love awaits you. I hope you know that…we must keep doing what is right. Through our memories of them, they live.” Whitewolf thought of Dogspirit and the children she’d left behind. The world was so harsh and cruel and confusing, robbing cats of so much hard-earned and deserved love…then standing up and demanding the same, poor souls fight for what little remained. It was a tired place. And in that tired place lived an even more tired phantom—a heart so jaded with its out-of-rhythm beating that it could hardly stand to function.

But all of Whitewolf’s strength and wisdom came from that ghastly heart, and she carefully drew her tongue between Starlingflight’s ears in slow, beating laps.

”They are alive and well within our spirits—their prints lie embedded in this hallowed ground. Everything shall return to us from whence it came.”

She used to have violent excitement jitters and her stomach a=was full of eagles. The gathering was such a big event! She was also highly irritated at the crowd. Rookpaw despised crowds. And now that the adrenalin rush was over, she felt it. So angry, so upset, so many people. I wanna take my ears off and throw them into the forest, so noisy! No, I want to kill! KILL! MURDER! Starlingflight nodded. She felt helpless. Was living without Featherkit really worth it? Being reminded of her each day and seeing her disappear each night in her dreams...it was remarkable that Starlingflight hadn't gone mad. Such sorrow was tempered with the heavy weight of guilt that Starlingflight carried with her like a heavy stone. She refused to go into how her kit died. It had been her fault. Her own stupid fault.

The gentle licks between her ears made her stiffen, but it..it was comforting. They had both lost so much...and Whitewolf was gaining her own happiness again after so long. Would it be moons before Starlingflight had such a chance? Was she even deserving of it?

"You're right," She whispered hoarsely, "My daughter will be waiting for me...I hope she doesn't hate me for..for what happened."

Tonight had made an impact on Starlingflight. She had found a friend, and a good one at that. Blinking up at the scarred warrior with the missing leg, Starlingflight allowed herself, for the first time, to truly accept the friendship she had found. Subtly, she let herself lean against Whitewolf, so appreciative for the wise warrior's words and presence.

"I truly hope you are right, my dear." She purred back, though the sound was ragged. "Only the stars know if I am worthy of being reunited with my daughter. My only regret...is that I allowed myself to be distracted just...one moment too late."

Once again Palebrook butted in. "It's Kestrelstar now," She told them. "But I'm not sure about Eveningmist."

"Oh the day that happens I should celebrate. Enjoying each other's company rather than having a contest of who can have the most bristled pelt. What do you think, friend? Should we go and try to find others who care more about making friends than whatever tensions their clan has?" She offered, already glancing around to see if there were any cats nearby that might fit the description. Someone more intent on chatting and having fun than scathing each other with their words and gaze.

For Tiabirb (Starlingflight)

"The difference between a forgivable transgression and one that's not often lies within the cat who committed it." Whitewolf allowed Starlingflight to touch her--something she so often forbade--as she watched the Leaders from the Clans both cats aligned with argue. What a paradox it was that a friendship had formed between a blooming coriander and a shining mint leaf that night, when a field of tansies surrounded them on all sides. "There is more truth in the stars than in our hearts. Do not forget that."

Cinderpaw was a bit late to the gathering, having left camp late since she spent extra time grooming her fur to look as spotless as possible. She could never let herself be presented as anything less than perfect! Especially around the other clans! Even if any warriors in camp had tried to warn her about traveling to the gathering alone, she wouldn't listen. She knew she could handle herself. She was the best apprentice any of these clans had ever seen!

So, she may be easily noticed when she trots on into the gathering several minutes behind Shadowclan, but the extra attention is exactly what she wanted. She reveled in it. The more eyes that were on her, the better. How else would the other clans know how great she was? Nose turned up, a look of supremacy as she didn't even give mind to anyone that may give her strange stares. She was currently on the prowl for someone to bully. She wasn't going to do anything violent, as she wouldn't dare break the warrior code by enacting violence during the truce of a meeting, but she does a bit of harassment here or there, as far as the warrior code allows.

Hawkpaw wanted to talk to a Riverclanner, to hear their side of what has happened. He spotted one he thought looked neutral, not like they wanted to rip a Thunderclannner to shreds. "Hey, Blizzardsky." Mewed to tom. "I want to talk." He mewed

Following Twilightstar and the new deputy, Wolffang, out to Seastones was Nettlespark. He had skipped a couple of the last Gatherings, but couldn't resist the curiosity in recent news any longer. He wasn't positive, but it felt like this would be the first time he'd been here since leaving his home Clan.

He didn't know whether or not Deadpool chose to come- Maybe that was something he would discover later? Regardless, the brindled tabby sets out to find somebody seemingly receptive to mingle with. At the time they arrived, it appeared that ThunderClan and RiverClan were at odds. Sure that he'd find out what it was all about sooner or later, the warrior pays little mind to those on the seastones.

He spots a cat not all too far off, observing the scene as well. Getting nearer, Nettlespark detected ThunderClan on the stranger. Well, better this than no one at all. He approaches, tail curling in greeting. "Hello. Things look a little tense up there, you worried?"

Porcupineberry glanced up from gazing at the cats screeching and arguing around the stones, they gave a quick blush as they realized someone was talking to her and they didn’t notice. At least it seemed this warrior was civil,” I feel that the leaders just need to sit down and talk it out, but probably won’t work out that well. Sadly probably will result in a battle.” they meowed giving giving a small eye roll glancing off in the directions in the leaders bickering.

Robinwhisker blinked at her friend. Partly to try and see through the tears that had begun to blur her vision, and partly in confusion. When she had arrived here, she was filled to the brim with emotion. Anger, grief, confusion and distress all barely kept bottled up in her damaged little body. If anyone had caught her before she got to her friend, even a Windclan or a Shadowclan cat, she most likely would have lashed out at them. Something highly unusual for the Thunderclan molly.

So when she saw Sprigcloud, kind eyes and even kinder heart waiting for her... she just unloaded. Told someone from an outside clan everything, even that she was glad his former leader was dead. That alone should have kick started the inevitable war between the two clans. She can only imagine the rush of emotions if it had been the other way around. Yet the blonde tabby was... sympathetic? Not once did he try to back up his clan, maybe try and tell her why she was wrong. His fur stood flat on his back, and his eyes stayed kind. His tail rested comfortably on her back. Her muscles (that she didn't realize were so tense) slowly relaxed as she listened to him speak. Would Kestrelstar listen? She knew nothing of the new Riverclan leader, but he and Eveningmist didn't seem to be getting along...

She suddenly pushed her head into Sprigcloud's shoulder and squeezed her eyes shut. In her current emotional state, she couldn't properly convey how thankful she was for his open mind. She probably couldn't even speak at all. It would probably just come out a stuttery and garbled mess. Hopefully the tom would understand from the motion alone.

Squirreldash looked around to try and find Maplebriar. It took him a few minutes, but he saw him looking around. The tom padded over to him with a smile. "Looking for me?", he asked. He was aware that he asked him to be here. Mainly to show others that Mapebriar was his. Hopefully, he didn't spot any of his flings. That would not be good. Not when he liked Maplebriar.

ShadowClan

(Both open)

Foxstorm stalked back and forth, lashing her tail to and fro. Ever since Stormshadow had gone missing, she had been in edge, and being at a Gathering was the last thing she wanted to do. She needed to find Stormshadow. As she did her restless pacing, itching for the Farthing to just start all ready, she almost collided with a ShadowClan apprentice. "Watch it!" She snapped.

Frostpaw hardly had time to slow up before he slammed into another cat. Stumbling backward, his nose smarting, he glanced up at the cat through watering eyes. "Sorry," he puffed, rubbing his nose. "Didn't see you there." He wasn't sure why the she-cat was so mad about it.

Finchwhisker's appearance wasn't particularly welcomed by her or Wolffang it seemed, although the tom didn't seem immediately hostile. Of course, that was a good thing. It would hardly do for the deputies to squabble at a gathering. What sort of example would that set, especially considering how quickly she had reprimanded Vinepelt for her frankly embarrassing outburst. She was pleased to see that, at least for the moment, the warrior was remaining in her place, keeping to the edge of the crowd. The stink eyes that were being repeatedly sent her way weren't nice, it only made her more likely to punish the she-cat as much as possible.

Turning her attention back to the toms, she mewed formally It is nice to meet you Wolffang. She was sure she had seen him around somewhere, either during the visit to Windclan or another gathering, but she hadn't caught his name. Which only became a source of embarrassment as he knew hers. Her pelt growing warm briefly as she mewed hastily Yes, I'm Splashleap. before turning her eyes downward. It seemed he knew her name, and the Shadowclan deputies name. Well, she had known Finchwhisker, he'd been around long enough for her to learn his.

It seemed the two toms went right for eachothers throats, well, not literally. But the coldness in their voices made it.....pretty clear to Splashleap how the clans still felt about eachother. She hadn't exactly expected them to forgive and forget, especially since one had been occupied and the other driven from their territory, but the venom was still quite there. And of COURSE he knew her name. Of course she was the only one who didn't know the others names right off the bat. Yeah, that's me. she mewed, her ears flattening slightly.

Looking up at the leaders, her neck craning to see their faces, Splashleap grimaced slightly as she saw Kestrelstar and Eveningstar arguing. Oh dear. This didn't look good. Dawnstar seemed content to grin like a maniac, watching the two argue, and Twilightstar seemed quite happy to stay out of it. Which Splashleap could completely empathize with. Kestrelstar could definitely be a bit scary when he got angry, she certainly wouldn't want to be Vinepelt when that one dropped. Speaking of whom, it seemed the molly had moved. She didn't seem to be making trouble, but was still seemed a bit miffed, judging the dirty looks that were repeatedly being sent her way.

-Brackenpaw (ShadowClan)-

Brackenpaw padded into the clearing. Ah, the Gathering. Her second one. All those new apprentices staring at the big warriors with wide eyes... Hilarious. The wounds from the dog fight hurt, Bouncepaw had treated them, told her to stay in camp... but whatever. It was dumb. Cloudheart seemed perfectly happy to be without her, which kind of hurt her feelings, but he didn't seem to care, so why should she?!

-Rainstorm (RiverClan)-

As she sat in the crowd of chattering cats, Rainstorm couldn't help but glare at the ThunderClan cats. Why were they looking at her like that?! She curled her lip at one, and then turned away, unwilling to give this cat another second of her time.

-Cricketfire (WindClan)-

Jeez, why was everyone so pissed off tonight? SHadowCla was explainable, they had a badger for a leader, but ThunderClan and RiverClan were looking like someone died or something. Cricketfire frowned thoughtfully, his ears pinned back.

(Couldn't resist throwing her at you!) Shade.
Deadpaw wasn't sure why she had bothered to come. Well, she had a reason BEFORE the Windclan cats had set out from camp, but now, in the moonlit clearing filled with cats she would(ugh) be expected to socialize with, it was beginning to feel pathetic. Did she really want to anger her sister THAT much? Was it really worth it to go just to make her angry? Looking up at her brother, chatting(she was sure) PERFECTLY with the other deputies, she was reminded of the answer. YES. It was going to be pure DELIGHT when she told her sister all of what had gone on, with a few *edits* to the narrative.

But of course, she needed something to do to pass the time. She didn't see her golden lug, Marigoldpaw was HERS, no one could tell her otherwise, and she padded towards a few Shadowclan cats. While most of her clanmates were chatting with Riverclan and Thunderclan cats, she was being adventurous. Perhaps someone knew where Marigoldpaw had gone. Scanning the pine scented cats, Deadpaw's eyes alighted upon one of them. Thinner than her clanmates, but tall, almost like a Windclan cat. She also looked grumpy. So approaching her would either be delightfully amusing, or a horrible idea that would lead to problems.

Really though, Deadpaw was willing to take that chance. There were already enough horrible problems that one more wouldn't make a large difference. So, ignoring the sense that told her to leave, get away from the thunderfaced apprentice in an intelligent moment of self preservation, she padded forward. Stopping squarely in front of them, her tail flicking in a show of confidence, Deadpaw purred Hello! How are you smelly cat? I was wondering if you'd seen my friend Boulderhead! I haven't seen her around, and I'd quite like to smack the yellow lump. Snapping her maw shut, the corners of her mouth tipping up in a small smirk, she waited for what she had said to sink in. It took a while sometimes.

Rookpaw, still very upset, was now standing slightly crouched in a defensive, somewhat violent position, as she usually did among crowds. She tried to look confident but probably looked more scared than anything else. And then, some cat approached her. Initially, she looked at them with a look of pure murder, as she had been itching to harm someone and take her aggression out on cats. The her eyebrow rose in her ever-so-iconic skeptical look.
"Who? Is this a joke, because I don't appreciate being called stinky. That's a baby insult, anyway." she mewed, more confused than irritated.

Not to mention the golden she-cat had some strange affinity for that moniker. It had initially been intended as an insult, but now it was more affectionate. Perhaps stinky is the wrong word. Would you prefer......pungent? Odoriferous? One who still carries the scent of the filth in which they wallow? One who had the misfortune to be born in the clan of savages? All of those were pretty good ways to describe the situation really. Oh, and she had to know. What is your name? Unless you would like a nickname of course. I'm thinking...........Stickcat. Defensive instincts screaming, Rookpaw felt like something was off. She could tell when she was made fun of, no doubt, but she knew that, sometimes, she was, in fact, not made fun of and was simply being hostile. But, due to her recent encounters, she was a little more on edge that usual.
"I could say the same about you, but I wouldn't as I don't discriminate based on clan, that would be immature. And no, I certainly don't know who you're talking about, there are many apprentices and I'm not responsible for keeping track of them. And my name is Rookpaw. Exhausting. That was the perfect word to describe the past few nights. New expectations weighed heavily on Kestrelstar as he led his Clan across their territory, following the trail that snaked it's way to Seastones. He wanted to get there quick, before the other Clans, and the anxiety that fluttered in his stomach and swirled down around his paws aided in such a quest. The events that had unfolded after leaving the Starcave with Snakeheart were still fresh in his mind. Lionstorm. Fawnsqueak. ThunderClan.

Giving a dismissive flick of his tail to the rest of his Clan, Kestrelstar broke off to make his way to the rocks where he would now sit, scrambling up to take his place where he'd seen Sootstar sit many times before. Now it was just a waiting game to see who showed up first. Part of him hoped it would be Twilightstar - a peaceful start to what he knew would be a rather big storm. Or maybe the stars would bless him and give him one on one time with Buckstar - the traitor who had felt it necessary to not only slaughter two of the most noble, prominent cats of RiverClan, but neglect to return their bodies.

Oh, how tonight would be interesting.

[ RIVERCLAN HAS ARRIVED! ]

totally didn't just see this after it was on for a while-

Her first gathering... Only took nearly a year for her to arrive, but finally, three of her paws could feel the sand between un-eaten beans. She caught herself kneading the sand as one would do to their mother for milk, a sweet purr threatening to follow. Her eyes closed, heavy with content and sleep, blissfully unaware of the absolute chaos of the gathering. Other than tension thick enough to be cut by a claw, Snailpaw was hardly uninformed of the war about to brew, until a random cat bumped into her chubby little body and bought her back to reality.

Blue eyes snapped wide as the round ball of a molly flailed a little, startled quickly. "Gah!" Before she realised what had happened, Snailpaw was toppled over and in the Sand, flinching away from Morningpaw. Almost as quick as she was on the floor, she was up again, with a heat engulfing her cheeks in shame. "Oh-oh my, sorry! Sorry! N-no it's okay it was my fault-- who has their eyes closed at a gathering...?" Her meow was followed by a giggle snort, simply making the situation more awkward than ever. Stars, please just let the sand open up and engulf her! There was no coming back from this, after snorting... Jeez.

Snailpaw shrank a little bit back, giving her chest a few quick anixous licks. "U-uh. Um. I'm Snailpaw! Yo-you know like the round bugs? Y-yeah.." Could morningpaw tell she was a nervous wreck? Probably!

[MORNINGPAW]

Morningpaw felt even more apologetic as the molly she'd knocked against toppled over into the sand, muttering her own apologies. "There's no need to be sorry, seriously; I probably shouldn't be so far over here anyway." She murmured, scanning around the bustling crowd of clangoers all around them. She let out a sigh; "I just couldn't be over there with Riverclan right now."

Letting out her own giggle in response to the other apprentice's laugh; it was rather cute. Some of the tension left over from the turbulence between the other half of the clans melted away as the cool air contrasted against the warm sand underneath her paws.

As the shecat introduced herself, Morningpaw gave her a smile. "Morningpaw. Like the... well, you know. Snailpaw is a nice name." She complemented. After a pause, she spoke again. "Are you with... Shadowclan?" She asked unsuredly, Snailpaw's scent blending in with the crowd around them.

Whew! They had made it to the Gathering! And not one drop of blood had been spilled. Prancing in with a bit of enthusiasm despite the sorrowful circumstances that had led to the increased tensions, Olivenose glanced around as her paws hit the sand. It seemed as though only RiverClan was here at the moment - phooey! Well that was just simply boring. There was more than one Clan in the forest, and she was tiiiiired of interacting with battle-hungry mongrels. Or the peace-lovers - blegh! Both were just being party poopers on her otherwise miraculous daily life!

The moonlight illuminated her white fluffy coat as she circled around the outskirts of Seastones, sniffing here and there at the edge. Waves crashing in the distance captured her attention, albeit momentarily, as within the next moment she was off again, sand crunching in between her toes. "I bet this place would make a niiiiiice lil' home!" she chirped happily, seemingly oblivious to the cats piling in, the scowls and tense muscles. Olivenose, like always, was just in her own little world.

Hmm, this cat was actually fairly intriguing. At least she hadn't just begun screaming. That was something to roll with at least. They could at least have a civil argument, if such a thing existed. Ah, that is very true my funny friend. We should demonstrate some class to those silly squirrels and funny fish who seem to be arguing. Yes Riverclan were their allies, but surely any cat that wasn't Riverclan was of the opinion that their habit of immersing themselves in cold liquid was a bit strange.

It was quite unfortunate that this...Rookpaw didn't know Marigoldpaw. Perhaps she hadn't been an apprentice very long. That was the only real reasonable explanation. Marigoldpaw was....very difficult to miss, with her yellow fur and immense size. Snorting slightly as she was instructed to give her name, Deadpaw mewed But of course, where are my manners? I'm Deadpaw, although if you talk to my family I'm Destroyer of Lives, Bringer of Despair. That might be overly dramatic. But it was definitely how Rosebriar felt about her anyway.

Rookpaw knew some cats found fun ways of displaying "loyalty and patriotism". Sheeee...honestly had no idea what that was. Obviously, she wouldn't betray others just to gain something, but then again, there where no "others". Rookpaw's existence was a solitary one. Except maybe Shrewstep. And Wolfwhisper just maybe. Rookpaw didn't really trust anyone. Oh how she hated that she was getting attached. She honestly befriended older cats better than cats her age, due to her intellect and only having Doeflame to talk to as a kit. Oh, this sour memory again...
And then Deadpaw introduced herself, fun name, and seemed to present an interesting backstory of not being approved by her family. Normally, Rookpaw would snort and assume Deadpaw was trying to gain edgelord/pity points, like some needy kit trying to fake depression, but she honestly didn't seem like the type. Ok, I'll play your game.
"To my family I'm The Other One, the one we adopted and forgot about." she replied drily.

Bunnypaw felt extremely uncomfortable with ThunderClan cats and RiverClan cats looking at each other, and occasionally at her, which made her angry. She felt the urge to screech at the top of her lungs, yet she took a deep breath and sat down. She didn't need to be so angry, but something always had her wanting to do horrible things. Not to the cats in the other Clans, but to the cats in her Clan, too, which.. made her guilty. She kept trying to convince her that there was always a reason for her to want to claw everyone's ears off, there was a reason to screech at kits that trampled on her tail on accident. Accident. Accident.

Accidents. Always accidents.

Bunnypaw felt her ears flatten. That's what lots of cats called her. Trouble-maker. ShadowClan-hearted. Accident. Was she an accident? She didn't know. Maybe she wouldn't ever know. But the only thing that made her feel anything towards anyone around her was the anger she would put out, for all of WindClan to look at and whisper in disgust.

Foxstorm rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well, next time, watch out." She peered closer at him. "Are sick or something?"

Hmm. She wasn't the only one who liked having a fun title, because what your family ACTUALLY thought about you wasn't fit for conversation! Well, at least if your not really family is rotten and nobody likes them, you can always say you aren't related to them. Then again, I can say I didn't choose to have them as my family, so it's not my fault if they do anything. And it wasn't like the fact she was related to Wolffang and Rosebriar was talked about much. Her pretty sibling had disappeared a long time ago, along with their mother, and it was better for just about everyone if that bit of history was swept under the nest.

Shrewstep watched the leaders intently, a bit curious as to why the gathering hadn't started yet. After all, all the clans were here, all the leaders were here, cats had been chattering away for quite a while now. What was going on? Looking a bit more closely, he thought he saw Eveningmist's(where was Buckstar anyway) mouth moving, along with that of a Riverclan warrior he didn't recognize, who he presumed was their new leader. They both seemed a bit angry, with puffy fur and no real attention to what was going on around them, and he turned to look at Dawnstar. The fish and squirrels didn't concern him.

So this is how it was going to go? A sob story competition? The apprentice, now a little intrigued and even going back to her hyper and excited state, flopped down casually, sitting like a loaf.
"Fair point. Sadly, they can say they regret choosing me. But thankfully they never saw me as family do it's nothing. I just had to find it out myself...Its not like anyone cares who I'm relayed to, at least. No gudgement." she mewed.

Well, if nothing else they could agree on one point. Family is overrated. Deadpaw mewed firmly, her ears shifting forwards. At least, any 'family' you have before you're an apprentice. Because until then you don't know any better, how to be careful. All the time she had spent as a kit, trying to be pretty to make her mother happy. She could have been SO much more productive if she hadn't met her mother till she was an apprentice. Then she would have known enough to say 'no thanks, this cat is not for me'. When you were a kit, you didn't know enough to choose between good cats and bad cats. You just...got what you got. Sometimes cats got lucky. Most of the time they ended up having to interact with dysfunctional cats for their whole lives. Shade.

Rookpaw agreed. She...never got the hang if deep emotional connections. She often worried it meant she was a psycho or something. But she also kinda didn't care. She has been hurt a lot, by many cats. She knew better than to get attached. It was almost...a form of freedom.
"To be fair, anyone you meet ever you're probably going to forget as long as you make sure to not care enough."

Who knew Shadowclan cats could be acceptably intelligent? The other apprentice raised a good point, although Deadpaw found it difficult. Avoiding the attachment. Breezefeather, Nightpaw, even Featherwhisker for a while. Loved and lost. Not that she was going to admit that bit of fragility. Yes, not getting attached is the way to go. Except to maybe goals. Like showing up just about everyone in the world, as improbable as that was. But hey, it was something to go for at least. Shade.

(This us honestly fun lol, they might have a few bumps since Rook has a sensitive ego, but they're friends because they hate everyone)

Goals. That was a difficult one. Rookpaw was a naturally competitive and ambitious cat. And being the best fighter, the best hunter, the best everything...it seemed natural. She was asking Wolfwhisper to teach her how to swim, after all.
"But, for a fickle cat like me, goals are hard to keep track of. Eventually, you just end up confused, chasing the wrong things. I have concluded that my sense of purpose varies from that of most cats around me. Loyalty and desire for loved ones, as you can see, us not my thing."

Oakfur turns around to see Bunnypaw "WHAT are you doing bunnypaw why so angry" he asked ears and head turning

Bunnypaw had let her anger fester in the back of her mind, not thinking anyone would come over because she looked so angry, but someone did come over. To see why she was so angry.

Whirling to face the Warrior her fur raised and she hissed loudly; "None of your business, idiot!" She growled, backing away, then softened, vulnerability piercing her heart. It didn't look like Oakfur wanted to fight, or pick on her. But he did something she didn't expect! Wasn't that the first sign of an ambush? Confusion filled her mind, making her lay down and put her paws over her head as she visibly panicked.

Bunnypaw growled. Did he say idiot? In her opinion it was fine for herself to say it, but anyone else? It enraged her. She picked herself up from her panic attack and lashed her tail. "Why are you even here? Don't you have some RiverClan cats to argue with? I've been hearing about ThunderClan and RiverClan's little drama," She felt better now that she had something to pick on the Warrior with. "And it doesn't seem like anything's settling down anytime soon. I'd be worried if anyone was possibly talking about fighting ThunderClan. She smirked.

>>Quailpaw<<

>>Please come interact with Mr. Grumpypants. Bully him, cheer him up, give him a talking to, I don't care.<<

Stempaw didn’t really enjoy gatherings either, and this one was risky. She hoped Dawnstar wouldn’t press Twilightstar for information on the cats who kidnapped her because it was just one warrior not four as she told Dawnstar, and Dawnstar said that if she learned Stempaw had lied she’d take her leg, and she already was missing a leg. She saw a grumpy clanmate in the back,” Quailpaw. Seems I’m not the only one who dislikes the gatherings.” she meowed hoping that could spark some interaction.

Appleshine to Junipersong

"That makes two of us!" She chuckled, looking about the clearing. Most of her clanmates were chatting with other cats from the clans, so she looked about the Gathering. "Hmmm do you want to talk to ShadowClan, WindClan or ThunderClan?" She asked the RiverClan warrior. "I mean...not all of Thunderclan seems too grumpy..." Appleshine mewed softly, soft blue eyes anxiously scanning the crowd.

Starlingflight to Whitewolf

It was a small comfort, but it was enough to begin tearing down the walls that she had built over time. Starlingflight nodded and smiled faintly. What kind of cat was she, for committing the transgressions she had? She had since devoted herself to RiverClan's service. But if war waged out for the deaths of Lionstorm and Fawnsqueak, ThunderClan would have just as much reason to fight back just as hard. Lionstorm had done something terrible, and why? No one would ever know. Not unless the great former leader came down and told them himself.

"I wonder when the leaders are going to make their announcements," Starlingflight murmured, "It would do to get on with it before more pelts start bristling..." OhZeeWolf

Finchpaw let out a amused purr as his ears twitched in the direction of the cats to his right. The little Windclan cat had given a well directed snipe at the Thunderclan warrior. He let his eyes slide to the right as he sized up the Windclan she-cat. He had been in his head the whole gathering and now something interesting finally caught his attention.

Nevertheless, he tried to pay attention when she spoke, not out of a desire to communicate but rather a determination not to be embarrassed. He'd already had far too many humiliating encounters mishearing cats only in the past few sunrises. Darn that dog!

Dislikes Gatherings? The tom gave a half-exasperated grunt. "I don't dislike Gatherings. But this one in particular certainly isn't pleasant."

You're developing sarcasm, some inner voice noted not disinterestedly. At least that's something.

He turned a cold shoulder on the apprentice, awkward and frustrated. Talking to cats it far overrated, grumbled the voice, and for once he agreed. Maybe if he stared at that bush long enough, Stempaw would go away.

"it'll all be okay." honestly, he wasn't sure if everything would be okay or not. still, he said it without hesitation, almost like a first instinct. even if everything wouldn't be okay, it was the thought that counted.

- Snowypaw, WindClan Apprentice -

Ooh, this was a rather interesting Gathering. Bristling pelts, flaring egos... Snowypaw had bounced in at the tail end of WindClan, bright blue eyes scanning the sandy shoreline. Jeez, everyone seemed rather angry, and the last thing they wanted to do was get involved in any of that. How... distasteful.

”Hello! Hi! Nice too meetcha!” they purred, prancing over tails and under lifted paws, their fluffy coat gliding by like silk. There wasn’t particularly anyone they were looking forward to talking to - this was their first Gathering after all! Perhaps someone not from their own Clan? WindClan cats could be... a bit boring at times and they wanted some excitement to spice up their life.

As if on cue, Snowypaw turned their gaze up at the leaders’ rock - there was Twilightstar, and Dawnstar, and... well, they didn’t quite recognize the other two. Though, from the looks of it they definitely weren’t friends. And that... oh stars, was that Fernpaw with a paw hooked into one of the strange tom’s back? ”What a mouse-brain!” they purred, though there was no trace of insult on their tongue. To be honest, they found it rather brave and hilarious - and would have to seek him out later to get the full story.

Letting that be for now, the fluffy white feline continued their prancing, head swiveling around as if they were on the look-out for someone - which, in reality, they weren’t. Or maybe they were. They were just glad to be out of camp!

Kestrelstar let out a low, warning growl. He was starting to get a headache from all of the excuses that Eveingstar was coming up with. Just like with the coyotes, ThunderClan didn't even have the decency to verify the "facts" they passed off as the truth. "It does if those cats aren't innocent," he snapped, not backing down or flinching, despite the ThunderClan leader being a bit taller and bulkier than him. Size wasn't everything; it all came down to skill.

The patrol result just garnered a snort from the RiverClan leader. "Funny, considering he was found right at the scent line." There was oh so much more, so many words that wanted to tumble out into the light of day, but between the bickering and the fighting that was happening below, Kestrelstar just wanted to get a move on and get as far away from the retched ThunderClan leader as he could.

"You should've thought of that before your former leader and warriors slaughtered Fawnsqueak, and in turn Lionstorm." Sharp, lined with chipped ice. He didn't bother to even look in Eveningstar's direction as he shot it out. He was tired of this; the next time he spoke to Eveningstar it would include claws to the face.

Still feeling Fernpaw on his back, Kestrelstar crouched down so the young apprentice could hop off. He gave the kid a nod, hoping he would sense the severity of the situation and hop off to stay next to him. He didn't want to send the young tom back down the rocks, but he wanted to focus on the task at paw; this announcement. He had to get it right, and he had to deliver it now. So, the RiverClan leader stepped forward on the rock he sat on, not bothering to check if the other leaders wanted to begin.

"RiverClan has been thriving in the last moon. The fish have been plentiful and our territory is flourishing in newleaf. We've also had a pawful of apprentices who have begun their warrior training - Tallpaw, Sleetpaw, Redpaw, Frogpaw, and Chivepaw. You may see some of them among us tonight."

"I'm proud to also welcome two new warriors to our ranks, who's ceremonies were long overdue. Plumstorm and Spiderstorm join us as full RiverClan warriors, with their loyalty and dedication to their Clan standing above all else."

"A new arrival of kits in the nursery has benefited RiverClan as well; Foxblaze has welcomed three healthy, promising young kits by the names of Fidgitkit, Honeykit, and Cloudedkit, and Antfrost has welcomed Webkit and Tumblekit, all of whom I'm sure will one day make excellent RiverClan warriors."

"The coyotes that were carelessly driven onto RiverClan territory two moons ago," Kestrelstar went on to say, shooting a quick sideways look back at Eveningstar, "have been dealt with and either killed or chased into the outskirts. However one of our patrols reported sighting of a family of foxes near the ShadowClan border." With a swing of his head Kestrelstar attempted to catch Dawnstar's gaze. "Be sure your warriors keep an eye out." He wondered briefly if Eveningstar caught that, because that was how a warning was suppose to go.

Now for the hard part. Despite the tensions, Kestrelstar wanted to get the cats he'd listed off their deserved recognition. Even with his anger building minute by minute, the gray tabby knew that Lionstorm's former apprentices deserved their time to not be overshadows by death and chaos. They deserved to be seen for how talented of warriors they were, how their loyalty to RiverClan was steadfast and their courage unwavering.

Taking a breath and squaring his shoulders, Kestrelstar continued. "RiverClan has also suffered two great loses," he began, easily projecting his voice so it traveled down to all who were gathered below on the sand. "As you all know, Lionstorm recently took up the leader position upon Sootstar and Stormcall's disappearence. This past moon, RiverClan's leadership was passed to me as Lionstorm stepped down once again. For those who do not know me, my name is Kestrelstar. I had expected to seek guidance from him for the start of my leadership, however during my trip to the Starcave," this was it, anxiety bubbled in his chest - why? he had no clue - "Fawnsqueak and Lionstorm were brutally murdered at Smallpines."

That was sure to garner shock from those who were not yet aware - mainly ShadowClan and WindClan. "They were found dead, with ThunderClan scent covering them. Fawnsqueak appeared to have been hit in the head, while several wounds marked Lionstorm. Despite the warrior code directly telling them to do so, ThunderClan neglected to have the decency to return their bodies to us; by the time we were able to properly mourn them their pelts were soaked and their spirits long gone."

Casting a glance at Eveingstar, he continued, "RiverClan has been there for ThunderClan many times. After the fire that destroyed your Clan, we provided shelter. Healing. Safety and security. All we've gotten in return from our "supposed" allies has been claws to the face. Your Clan has spat on our kindness, taking it for granted and thanking us by killing Fawnsqueak and having no regard to even return the bodies. Your coward of a leader didn't even have the decency to apologize for the coyotes that ravaged my Clan. No more. I will not allow RiverClan to be walked over. Keep your cats in line, Eveningstar."

Kestrelstar expected chaos. He expected most of RiverClan to rise up in anger. And he wouldn't stop it. No, this was what they needed to get out, and what ThunderClan needed to hear. As the thundering rebuttals echoed around below him, Kestrelstar turned his narrowing gaze onto Eveingstar. "This is your only warning, as I do not do seconds. Tread carefully, Eveningstar,” the new leader snarled, eyes narrowing as they found the toms own.

That was all he had to report. He would not declare war here; no, Kestrelstar wasn't that naïve. He'd wait, he'd bide his time. For once, the tom wanted to be patient. He wanted to make ThunderClan pay by ripping every little piece he could from them. With that, the RiverClan leader stepped back and took a seat, signaling that he was done.

Flyheart looked to him. “He’s taking care of things back at camp. We chased off a fox earlier.” flyheart told the tom.
Larkstorm shifted her paws. "I can't speak for the rest of my Clan, but I swear on StarClan I had nothing to do with what happened to Lionstorm."

He opened his mouth to reply, but Kestrelstar's voice began to echo over Seastones and he snapped them shut and sat down until the tom was done... though his single-eyed glare still shifted back to the two thundercats that faced him. And when Kestrelstar stepped back, he stood once more, claws out and scraping against the ground again, green eye flashing with ill intent.

Perhaps the she-cat really did have nothing to do with it - she seemed remorseful enough, at least - but she was still ThunderClan, and she had still allowed this to happen, whether she said otherwise or not. And this tom in front of him - stars, everything about him pissed Goosefury off. With a lash of his tail and a murderous snarl, he jerked his muzzle in Kestrelstar's direction. "Lionstorm and Fawnsqueak are dead. Dead. Do you understand what that means, you wastes of air? They aren't coming back. It was your Clan that did this, even after all RiverClan has done for you, and it is your Clan that will pay. I have no doubt in my mind that it was Buckstar who orchestrated this and now he chooses to hide away in the shadows of his camp like the fox-heart he is. That fox? I hope it comes back and rips a few of you to shreds. Maybe then you'll be able get your heads out of the clouds and realize what you've put us through."

With one last snarl he spun around and stalked away, ears flat against his head as he made for the beach, where the soft hsssshh of ocean waves could be heard. It reminded him ever so briefly of that she-cat he'd spoken to during his first Gathering, although her name eluded him, and it was... oddly calming, though his fur still bristled as he sat down a few inches from the edge of the waves and wrapped his tail over his paws.

Frostfeather watched as Goosefury slinked away. She understood his anger, her own festered under her fur. In the midst of her clanmates she felt trapped. Everyone was angry, yowling for justice. She decided that Goosefury had the right idea; she also needed some silence. Getting up slowly she found herself headed in the direction Goosefury had gone.

Just as she reached the beach she saw him sitting at the waters edge. He looked deep in though and she found herself wondering what was going through his mind. Silently she crept forward and seated her self just a few paw steps away from him. She didn't say a word, instead she kept her gaze out forward studying the waves.

ThunderClan
Stormfang
Stormfang bared his teeth in a snarl at the new RiverClan leader. The audacity of that cat to remind ThunderClan of the debt they owed RiverClan. This was exactly what he was talking about earlier. Kestrelstar would continue to push on Eveningstar until he got his way, which, from the way things looked now, Kestrelstar would get what he wanted quite often when dealing with ThunderClan. What an idiot. This was why he needed to be deputy. Things like this wouldn't happen if he was elected.

ShadowClan
Embershadow
Ah, so that was what the fuss was all about. Embershadow was slightly surprised about the allegations. He trusted ThunderClan and didn't think they would blatantly murder two cats without a good reason. Eveningstar didn't seem like that kind of cat to him.

Rippleshade-
Rippleshade walked around the gathering. The leaders were squabbling as normal. Suddenly she was shocked, how could ThunderClan be so arrogant? it was almost as if they expected Kestrelstar to LET them tread over RiverClan. She felt a pang of sympathy for RiverClan as a whole.
Vinepelt- The she-cat after her explosive outburst was not really paying attention to the leaders, as they had nothing meaningful to say. In her mind they were just overgrown kits that had been granted extra lives, and hadn't been actually helping anything. She shot a nasty glare at Kestrelstar and Eveningstar ( Jackpot ) and went back to looking for Moonshadow.
Sprucefall-
The ShadowClan she-cat had been born in ShadowClan, but felt no bond to it. She knew Dawnstar was corrupt, and any problems that rose between ThunderClan and RiverClan were nothing compared to what Dawnstar would do. She knew she had to say something, but didn't know how. She listened to the leaders squabble a bit, and then put her magnificent brain to work.

Warming up against his will, Quailpaw gave an appreciative grunt. "She always has been a tactician. Never would miss an opportunity to tune in on someone else's fight." He glanced at his Clanmate curiously. "Speaking of fights, have you been in one lately? You look a bit roughened up. And I know it wasn't the dogs- I was there," he mewed with a hint of insult. He spoke bluntly as was his habit; anything less would have disgusted him as political manipulation.
Stempaw didn’t like to admit weakness, so she used a story she much preferred to explain the missing limb,” I use to have a cruel mentor when I was younger who flung me on the thunderpath to get rid of me, some monster ran over the leg and the twolegs captured me and removed it. It’s healed, but that’s why I’m late to be a warrior.” she shrugged she was use to it, it wasn’t going to interfere with her training or anything, she was about due to become a warrior finally. But for now she’d be a good apprentice.

Quailpaw narrowed his eyes- something about her story seemed off- but whatever it was, he shrugged it away. It wasn't like it wasn't unlikely in a Clan like Dawnstar's. And he certainly wasn't afraid to voice any anti-Dawnstar sentiment.

Or... maybe he was now. Everything had changed since that threatening conversation with the tyrannical leader. He had walked away prepared to risk it all, but since then... lying low... he'd managed to become a part of his Clan in a way he never had before. Now, ShadowClan was more to him than just his home. Just a loyalty he was sworn to protect. Now, it was cats. And friends.

So he restrained himself from making some risky comment about Dawnstar's systemic implementation of violence and just gave what he hoped was a sympathetic nod. "I've heard stories like that. Most of the time, Twolegs are useless, but every once in a while they'll do something good on accident. If you had kept your leg it probably would have been even more of a hindrance," he mewed frankly. In fact, he was surprised Dawnstar had tolerated a disabled cat this long. Usually, her only kindnesses stemmed from making ShadowClan strong, and honestly, Quailpaw didn't see how Stempaw could contribute much.

She had been hiding in the shadows at the edge of the clearing, her green eyes wide and nervous as she watched all of the pelts passing by. This was her first gathering, and she searched desperately for a familiar face, pelt or scent.

And then... "Venompaw?" She gasped, and she slipped out from her hiding place to bound over to the ShadowClan apprentice. "Venompaw! Hi! How have you been?" Sweetpaw asked, mindful to keep her voice down as she greeted him.

Wolffang flicked one ear in mild annoyance as Rippleshade came back. He wanted to listen to what was going on at the Gathering, and give Twilightstar time to make her announcements. The tom also was in a conversation with two other Clan deputies. He had to look good during his first Gathering, or just in general. Professional, loyal, representing WindClan. That was it. Keeping his head lifted, he replied to her question, "I'll be sending out the patrols very soon. I'll put you on a hunting one." Hopefully, she went back into the crowd. Because things between ThunderClan and RiverClan were getting very, very tense.

He noticed that Splashleap seemed a little awkward. Professional, but with a slight tone to her voice that she detected. It was nothing much, but Wolffang made sure to sit as tall and straight as possible. He made sure that not too much emotion made its way into his gaze. The tom gave Splashleap a nod. "Nice meeting you, too," he responded simply. He didn't care about Finchwhisker, not right now. The ShadowClan tom would just be a pain in the tail. Then again, all ShadowClan cats were. Wolffang turned his bright yellow gaze up to the leaders.

Kestrelstar was making his announcement, and... yeesh, was that Fernpaw? Was he making WindClan look bad? Wolffang eyed the apprentice. Things were so serious right now. Did he not get that? He wondered if he should speak to him before thinking that Twilightstar would either reprimand him or maybe just let it slide. His breath came out in a huff. Seriously, this Clan needed to toughen up and show everyone that they were strong and serious. But the drama going on was very, very tense. Kestrelstar made some typical announcements, but then seemed to hate Eveningstar. Kestrelstar was saying that the former RiverClan leader and Fawnsqueak had been killed by ThunderClan, while Eveningstar had tried denying those claims - peacefully. Wolffang's lip curled.

"Definitely some tensions," he murmured under his breath. Maybe Splashleap heard it, maybe she didn't. Or Finchwhisker, who cared. Wolffang thought that this wasn't WindClan's drama, although he was fairly curious. Had ThunderClan committed those murders? Or had they been different? The tom shrugged his broad shoulders, frankly he didn't know a lot about the situation despite his curiosity. He might as well stay out of it and watch the Gathering commence.

Dawnstar gave the new leader of guppyclan a funny look, she didn't much care for the lack of acknowledgment, who wanted one from a fish anyway. He didn't seem scared of her which was perfectly fine, Dawnstar wasn't out to terrify the tom at the moment or intimidate. She still found it funny that he had kicked up a fuss at Maplepaw for whatever reason. She left it alone, for now, muttering, "Of course, your actions were so ever mature and really taught Maplepaw a lesson." The eye roll and the biting sarcasm made her tone lighter and less throaty. He's the only warrior she's ever seen kick up a fuss with one of her apprentices. If her cats were so problematic with clans she wasn't threatening on a day-to-day basis, should more cats be 'teaching' them a lesson as he put it? She might hassle Maplepaw to figure out what lesson he was teaching her later just to laugh about it later.

She noticed that both new leaders seemed to be on good terms with Bunnystar, Dawnstar blamed the fact that the bunny was still freaking here and had several moons on all the other leaders that the other two seemingly wanted to stay in the bunny's good grace. That merely made Dawnstar want to kick the rabbit off the rock again, but she was behaving, the ThunderClan RiverClan tension was more fun to watch.

Her dull gaze was drawn to the ThunderClan leader when he tried to play the peace card. Stupid squirrels, he should be paring for a war cause this new Guppystar seemed to have the same aggressive level as the Goldfish and they raided her clan for whatever reason possible when her mother had been a leader. Was ThunderClan really going to be a doormat? The dull glint slowly grew into a spark of interest when...Eveningstar stated his name. Any recollection of the cat was shoved down, the name sounded familiar purely do the fact that she didn't get a lot of Evenings in the clans.

Dawnstar normally hated clan-hoppers, but this once she could probably swallow her disgust at the lack of loyalty, and see if she could get something out of this. Peace, peace, peace, that's what the last several leaders of ThunderClan have been striving to obtain. It was getting so tedious. Perhaps she'll see about giving this one a little push. Or not, depends on bored she's become in the upcoming moons.

She listened to Kestrelstar's announcement, smiling as she heard that Goldfish was finally put down. Sucks to be him. The rest was the usual threats against Eveningstar. She didn't bother with waiting to see who'd step up next, Dawnstar wanted to start sniffing around the territory for any signs of foxes. Even though they had just gotten rid of the dogs, she'd like to try her paw against a family of foxes.

"ShadowClan is doing well as usual." Dawnstar started, taking over the fish's spot as soon as he stepped back. "We've had some problems with dogs and their twolegs stealing our prey for whatever dumb reason. A brave select few have proven what it means to be a part of ShadowClan and helped successfully put the pack down. I doubt we'll be seeing them again any time soon, but a word to the wise, I would be on the lookout prey thieves." She tossed that out without looking at any clan leader in particular. The twolegs have proven to be quite a thorn in her side as of late.

"Redshrike and Frogfang passed their assessment and were promoted to warriors. Crowpaw and Rookpaw are ShadowClan's newest apprentices, and Scorchstrike has gifted us with a new member, Bunnykit." That name was going to have to change once the kit becomes an apprentice. It was far too soft to be a name for a ShadowClan cat. If Scorchstrike wanted to name her kits after prey, Dawnstar might have to start treating them like prey.

"I'll make sure to have my cats keep an eye out for any signs of foxes," She glanced at the fishy leader, accepting the warning as it was given before wrapping her announcements up. "That's all from me." She finished, stepping back.

Frostpaw glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. She seemed a bit grumpy. His gaze quickly flicked back to the front as Dawnstar began to speak. "Isn't she great?" he asked when she had finished. "That was a great report. Do you know why everyone is so angry at each other this Gathering?" He had noticed some heated words between RiverClan and ThunderClan and wasn't sure what that was about.

Mistypaw whirled around in surprise and smiled at her sister. "Stormpaw! Hi!"

Stormpaw finally reached Mistypaw and asked, "Do you want to find someone to talk to with me? It's honestly kind of boring when you're at a Gathering, but you can't find anyone to talk to."
Stormpaw hoped that she wasn't being a little too needy or anything. It was just that this Gathering so far was nothing like the other one. Still, it was early in the Gathering and Stormpaw hoped that she could make new friends. One part of her didn't actually want to just because of the warrior code and how it said that one day you will meet your friends from other Clans in battle, but Stormpaw was just the type of cat who wanted to make friends. That didn't mean that she didn't get mad at her friends sometimes, but she loved them and that was all that mattered.

RiverClan cat, maybe, but some ShadowClan cats are nice, too. WindClan would be pretty good, but they do have a little bit of ShadowClan pride. Maybe a RiverClan cat, though I wouldn't be sad to have a different Clan talk to me. Not a whole Clan, of course, but a cat from one of those Clans. Stormpaw scratched her flank while thinking about that.

So, it seemed Thunderclan and Riverclan hated each other. What else was new. Juniperpaw snorted in disgust. The problems of other clans didn't matter as long as it didn't bother Shadowclan. And these days, their didn't seem to be much, at least that she knew about. A little dog, a little coyote a little battle, a little disappearances. The other clans were talked about she was even sure which ones effected Shadowclan anymore.

Hello...

Juniperpaw spun around at the sound of the voice. Two apprentices sat staring at her, one older than the other, yet they still looked close enough to be siblings, at least from different litters. From the smell of them, they were Thunderclan. "What do you want?" Well, that was abrupt. She hadn't meant to sound rude, but the pair looked like they didn't know much and she wanted answers. Wincing, Juniperpaw apologized, "Sorry. What do you want?" Her voice creaked in the strange pitch. Merciful friendliness was not her style.

Sprucefall looked at her leader. Something felt fishy, she knew it. She had no idea what.

The pair seemed to settle just a little bit more with her arrival, but Kestrelstar seemed on edge as ever. Her eye glanced in the direction of the bulky ShadowClan leader as she arrived. Shockingly enough, it seemed like she was leaving her alone for once. Twilightstar wasn't going to look a gifted horse in the mouth. Both clans had lost good cats, even if they didn't see it that way, Twilightstar would silently mourning their passing. Her eye shifted over to Eveningstar after he confirmed her word, he appeared as sad as she inwardly felt with the loss of his leader. She was mildly confused when Dawnstar commented about Kestrelstar and one of the ShadowClan apprentices. It wasn't really her business so she wasn't going to think too hard about it.

Fernpaw's abrupt arrival had her cast her attention to him and frowning. Not that she minded the good relationship between the apprentice and new leader, she would prefer if Kestrelstar didn't encourage him to jump up here. She didn't want apprentices thinking that if they were friendly with a leader they could just bounce up onto the stones without any repercussions.

"Fernpaw, apprentices aren't allowed up here. If you want to say hello to Kestrelstar, you can do it after the announcements are done." Twilightstar scolded in a stern tone, obviously expecting him to get down. She felt like a mother telling her kit to stop jumping on their older kin. "Wolffang, have Fernpaw sit with you for the rest of the gathering." She called to her deputy, noting that he seemed to disapprove of Fernpaw's actions as she did, but hadn't bothered saying anything about it. She wasn't sure why since the whole reason she made him her deputy so he could help her with little stuff like this.

As Kestrelstar started his report, she listened intently so she was more caught up with what was going on between the two clans. Lionstorm and Fawnsqueak murdered by ThunderClan? Well, that wasn't exactly said but it was certainly what was implied heavily. Kestrelstar's hatred of ThunderClan was heard loud and clear with each word, it was almost blinding and concerning the WindClan leader. If she recalled, there was an apology given during the last Gathering from Buckstar to RiverClan. This whole thing had stemmed from ThunderClan's negligence, but at the same time seemed like an honesty accident to her which has blown into something far larger. Some of it just didn't make sense to her. Such as Fawnsqueak's death seemingly by ThunderClan, which trigger Lionstorm's murder of Buckstar although she doubted that was all he had done, and now what going on currently.

She was extremely curious as to who killed Fawnsqueak and the reason behind it if there was one. Twilightstar had a lot of questions and wondered if this could all be sorted out by talking rather than killing each other. She would have been exceedingly upset if she were in RiverClan's paws, but Buckstar had shown genuine afflicted having learned what ThunderClan's negligence had cost RiverClan... some of this stuff just didn't add up to her. But she supposed she should stop while she was ahead, Twilightstar needed to focus on WindClan before she started worrying too much about the others.

A ghost of her past caught her emerald eye, causing it to widen in surprise. Coyotesnarl?! She felt like she had a knot in her gut and it was being twisted causing intense pangs. That was certainly Coyotesnarl, she didn't need to speculate too much on how he was back, between Beeblaze and Fernpaw, Twilightstar had become rather comfortable with cats returning from StarClan. But why was he with the ThunderClan cats? It didn't really matter if he had chosen to take to a different clan upon his return, she always assumed he'd take to RiverClan one day. What caused this antagonizing damage was the fact that he hadn't bothered to drop by WindClan at all just to see how they were doing. The overwhelming guilt and grief she carried thinking about his and Breezefeather's death still nipped at her heels once in a while when she looked at Wolffang.

With a sigh, she put a lid on her emotions, knowing very well that this wasn't the time nor the place. In all honesty, it might be safer this way, the second she became too reliant on another they were gone. Killed or disappeared, she'd prefer not to continue this vicious cycle again. As soon as Dawnstar finished, Twilightstar started on her announcement.

"WindClan is faring far better with some assistance from RiverClan." She gave a thankful dip of her head to Kestrelstar. She hadn't expected he'd be taking over when he showed up at her clan bearing gifts. She certainly wasn't going to complain about it. Unlike with Sootstar, Twilightstar felt more comfortable calling RiverClan an ally with him at the head and Snakeheart at his side. The new RiverClan deputy she's had no interaction with so time would tell on her thoughts about her. She mustn't be terrible if approved by the pair of RiverClanners. Thinking of deputy, had Kestrelstar forgotten to mention he had a new deputy? Twilightstar couldn't recall, her thoughts brought her elsewhere.

"I am genuinely saddened to hear of your losses and will grieve for them." Usually, she wouldn't comment on such matters but felt that it was appropriate this once. "I trust StarClan has chosen worthy successors and pray that you led your clans well." Twilightstar dare not comment on the boiling tension or Kestrelstar's aggressive mannerism. They had heard her thoughts and that was all that she'd give from WindClan.

"WindClan has some new apprentices, Ravenpaw, Foxpaw, Rowanpaw, Dirtpaw, Echopaw, and Snakepaw. Though some could learn some manners and others more adventurous when they should not be, WindClan is delighted to have them."

"Quiverpool has completed her training as an apprentice and now serves as WindClan's newest warrior. She's been long overdue for her ceremony and I'm certain she'll serve her clan well."

"StarClan has seen it fit to place Peachfrost as WindClan's medicine cat. Wishing to learn all that she can to become a great medicine cat for WindClan, we decided to let her focus solely on training and have not found her an apprentice. We are blessed to have such a caring and committed she-cat to take over for Coldamber, who although has made a recovery has decided to take up training to serve WindClan as a warrior."

"I welcome Wolffang as WindClan's new deputy, he has served his clan tirelessly and loyally. Though he has a lot to learn, I believe that he will assist me greatly in leading WindClan." Twilightstar decided to stop there for announcements. Having learned that the dog near the ShadowClan's border actually had something to do with ShadowClan, Twilightstar wasn't interested in giving the dark tabby extra ammunition against WindClan in the future. She stepped back, allowing Eveningstar to take her place whenever he was ready.

Cloudheart nodded, showing a small sign of approval. He looked to his sister who would probably be yelling out names while standing up. And then he remembered she wouldn't be here this time. A wave of grief washed over him and he tried to keep his attention on Twilightstar, who was now getting slightly blurry. Get over it! I'm tired of acting like this. I barely cry and now look at me. I'm crying at a Gathering! He used a forepaw to wipe the tears from his eyes, hoping no one had seen him.
He set his eyes on a group of WindClan apprentices who looked happy. They think they're so special, being new apprentices and all, but soon they'll see that life is horrible and the only thing keeping you together is your family and friends. But, then they're not there anymore. Your parents are dead, you have no friends, and your sister almost died. How can they be happy when she's suffering in the medicine cat den. Okay, so maybe he was exaggerating about the "suffering" part, but the rest was true. The rest was real.

"What?" Stormpaw asked. "No, not really. I mean something happened in ThunderClan, but you'll see what when Eveningstar starts ThunderClan's announcements. But, no cat died that I was close too. I'm lucky. There's this kit, Houndkit." Stormpaw bowed her head. "His mother died."
She remembered talking to him. That had been a nice talk-even though he was only a kit. She searched for something to say. She had said too much already. She refrained another sigh.
"Maybe we should concentrate on out leaders," it felt weird saying that too a warrior, but she was feeling brave. "I think they'd want us to listen to what they have to say. I mean, that's why we have these meetings. Gatherings. So that we can share our lives with others."
Stormpaw felt wise. The feeling didn't last long, though. She was pushed aside by a few young RiverClan warriors. She glared at them, biting back sharp words. They thought they were so good. Well, they didn't know Stormpaw. But, there was nothing she could really do. The warriors left, laughing. She knew their laughter wasn't directed at her, but she still imagined it was. For some reason she wanted them to hate her. The hot, boiling rage quickly filled her, but she looked at Mistypaw and she calmed down. The warriors didn't know they had bumped into her. They would have apologized if they knew. They seemed like those type. Life was horrible, but at least she had family and friends to help her through everything. Mistypaw was always keeping her up. Stagpaw, too. Her neck jerked up, making a snapping noise, but it didn't hurt at all. She needed to tell her sister something. But, maybe she shouldn't tell anyone just yet. Mistypaw was her sister. She should know everything that was happening in Stormpaw's life. Stormpaw turned to Mistypaw and took in a deep breath.
"Uh," she started. "I know this sounds weird and stuff, but there's something I should tell you. I know this isn't the ideal place, but I need to tell you." Stormpaw hesitated and then added, "On second thought, I think I'll tell you when we get back to camp, okay?"
She turned back.

Junipersong wasnt quite sure what she wanted. "Im worried that we may stir things up if we seek out cats from Thunderclan, but at the same time, I want to prove that there are those of us from both clans sensible enough to see past those issues and still be friendly. Its a difficult decision. I think for now I will settle for Windclan and Shadowclan, and hopefully by the next gathering, tensions will have dropped enough that we can look for friends in Thunderclan!"

Moonraven BILL.

Wolffang's semi-big, notched ears perked up when he heard Twilightstar speaking to him. It was a good thing that she was scolding Fernpaw for his actions; after all, WindClan was going to be the laughingstock of the Clans if their apprentices kept clambering all over Clan leaders. Fernpaw really had to get his act together; he was so immature, and besides, nothing good would come out of trying to be friends with cats from other Clans. What if you met them in battle one day? What would you do then? You'd be at a great risk of betraying your Clan.

"Yes, Twilightstar," Wolffang meowed to his leader at her request. He beckoned with his thick-furred gray tail. "Come here." The brown-and-white tabby really needed some behavioral management. Wolffang would keep one eye on Fernpaw and his other on both the leaders and the other deputies. It seemed as though RiverClan and WindClan both had one irrational cat. Vinepelt seemed really angry, and Fernpaw was just over-the-top immature. Wolffang looked sternly at the apprentice. "You heard Twilightstar. Don't go back up on the rock, and don't interrupt what the leaders are saying. Stay with me." His tone wasn't scolding or harsh, it was just solid and strict. Honestly, Wolffang didn't really want to be stuck with him, but he had to obey his leader.

Twilightstar began her own announcement, and Wolffang paid attention to her, still making sure that Fernpaw didn't do anything else. Briefly, he wondered if she would announce his deputyship. Probably, but at the same time, he didn't know whether she would want to or not. Wolffang pushed those thoughts back and listened. He remembered Kestrelstar's visit to the camp, and he felt a small flash of indignance. We don't need help from the other Clans. WindClan has to be strong on its own. Yet Twilightstar was a lot more open with that sort of thing. He'd have to bare with it. She seemed pretty sympathetic, and was good at making announcements. He didn't care for her missing eye, tail-tip, toes, or teeth, and he did disagree with her sometimes. However, no cat could doubt that she was a good leader.

When he was announced as the deputy, Wolffang nearly held his breath. Now all four Clans knew who he was. He forced his muscles to relax and instead focused on sitting up straight and keeping his head held high, his emotions unreadable on his face. He was glad that Twilightstar at least understood that everything he did was in the best interests of his Clan. Wolffang would do his best to learn, and to try and act... better... in their eyes. Things were confusing right now, but he had to earn the respect of others. That might take a while.

Meanwhile, Wolffang knew that he should keep more of an eye on Fernpaw. He focused his gaze on the tom, noting how his white parts shone in the moonlight. He really hoped that the tabby didn't make a fool of himself - or Wolffang - in front of all four Clans. Yeah, he definitely didn't want to get stuck with him. But again, he kept his face unreadable, wanting to appear strong and collected in front of the cats from other Clans.

Stempaw flicked her tail,” Yeah, it probably would have been a useless lump, this is definitely for the better, but Dawnstar did say if I go missing again even if it isn’t my fault, she gets to take another one of my legs, so I just have to hope twolegs don’t steal me again.” she meowed giving a lash of her tail to the side as she chatted with the other apprentice.

Sparrowskip had been traveling for days after being lost a few moons and he was finally almost home! He had dealt with flower after flower tossing him around and it was a bit embarrassing knowing he owed some of them favors. But finally, he was almost back to RiverClan. His power had worn out and he was no longer able to hear plants which was.. a relief. He was able to pass through WindClan without being caught and he was in RiverClan territory! He caught the scent of RiverClan which brought back his joyful attitude. He had been a bit solemn these past few days but the thought of being near camp cheered him up. He followed it.. and followed it.. and followed it. Until he heard a large group of cats in the distance. He thought Well what the hell. Maybe RiverClan changed camps. He then started smelling more and more scents until he realized.. he was in the middle of a gathering.
Thankfully no one noticed him but he sure noticed a lot of cats. A few things caught his attention. There were two new cats where Buckstar and Sootstar should've been. It very much puzzled him as what in StarClan happened to them? At first he thought deputies but noticed there was a new deputy with one of them that was not Stormcall. He also noticed Coldamber was missing. He just needed to find Snakepaw and find out what happened in his absence. Surely he had told Sootstar and Stormcall where ever they might be what had happened right? Sparrowskip approached his former apprentice Snakepaw and tapped his back with his tail and said. "Snakepaw? That you?"

Brackenpaw sat down as well, making a point to look down her nose at the other apprentice. So.... what the hell happened between ThunderClan and RiverClan?

Flypaw sat down next to the other Riverclan apprentices. She wanted to find out what was going on in the other clans but she didn't have any friends in them. She looked down as she stirred one of her paws in the sand. Her short, neatly groomed calico pelt was glossy in the moonlight and her light brown eyes reflected the light of the stars. With no one to talk to and no news to share there was nothing to do but wait.

Owltalon
Owltalon cringed when he spotted Fernpaw up with the leaders. Why couldn't his apprentice just follow the rules for once in his life? He was glad that Kestrelstar didn't disapprove, but that was the opposite of what Fernpaw needed. Some cat needed to tell him what he could do and what he couldn't do.

He was too caught up in his thoughts to notice that Twilightstar had started her report. He quickly bowed his head as she mentioned the losses of Lionstorm and Fawnsqueak.

Flypaw had been close enough to hear the cats and looked up in surprise at Frogfang's words. Windclan cats joining Shadowclan? That couldn't be good. She just knew that Dawnstar's reaction to this would be menacing if he found out. She was sure that she would be in huge trouble if she told them to stop but she had to do something or else these cats could get in terrible trouble.

Cowards, fools, allies that so seemed not to be, denial, weaklings stuffed into a role that'd break either them or the personality to create something new and stronger to fill the gap.... It seemed that this gathering was just some horrid warped reflection of a meeting that'd damned him so long ago. If that was the case though what did that make him, Lionstorm who pushed the events into motion? If he was though that'd make the internally shivering and bargaining Iciclepaw him.... The anger abruptly fled bleeding out to let in the numbing static that'd invaded his life like a disease. The anger wasnt gone, no, but what did the anger matter. What did fear matter. Iciclepaw would lose what made her her and reforge the shards into something that could survive or she wouldnt, it was what happening to medicine cat apprentices (and how sad was it that Snakeheart was so convinced of that inevitably). None of this echo if events passed mattered, what'd come would come and Sunhowl was just railing against time at this point.

"Vengeance insanity and stupidity has little reason and Ive seen thunderclan full heartedly embody all three. Frostpaw comes to mind among lots. I dont know your rational and quite frankly I dont care to; Kestrelstar has laid out his line, youre on your last chance and toe it again to face the consequences, thats final. Theres nothing else for you and I to discuss and I dont know about you but theres a thousand cats I'd rather make meaningless smalltalk to."
Maybe had Snakeheart been stewing in his rage as he usually did he could muster the energy to continue but for now apathy pushed him in a different direction. Sunhowl was to be ignored like he'd ignore a wailing kit. He had a distraction in Bouncepaw anyway.

"Nice of you to finally join us Bouncepaw you look as panicked as always." For the shadowclan medicine cat apprentice he was a rather flightly wreck of a thing wasnt he? Rather at odds with the general air of the clan but he seemed productive and competent at least, that made him tolerable. The information he brought was interesting too "You were sick Ebonyfang? Well you seem better now at least thats good, hope you didnt struggle with manning the den alone Bouncepa-" And all of a sudden the words were ripped from his chest in a shocked gasp eyes flying wide as he caught the gaze of a cat he thought dead.

"....Sparrowskip?"
If anyone was actually close enough to the tom to dig into his secrets, his thoughts and feelings they'd know the was two major trains of thought regarding the fate of his mentor. Neither of them were good, neither had any proof, neither one was regarded as more likley and neither did anything to stop the ever building guilt in his heart. You see they'd fought, a huge blow out argument that'd been building since they were assigned as a duo and Snakeheart had done what he always did. He'd run his mouth in anger and said something he'd regretted. Itd been a wild lashing strike at the older toms family, that little dark issue the lanky tom had only had a mere idea of and it'd hit true. They'd split then, Snakeheart storming back to camp but Sparrowskip.... Hadnt.

He never came back and so soon after the coyotes had shown their ugly face. The obvious conclusion was all too easy to come to. Either Sparrowskip had gone the way of Sootflare and left them, abandoned the clan because of Snakehearts cruel words, or him being out there avoiding his own apprentice had gotten him killed, torn appart by dogs like Firehawk had. Either option was, in the medicine cats mind, his fault. His mentor had been gone because of him and he had to live with that. Except he wasnt. The numbness was gone for shock in that moment and Snakeheart was faintly certain his face was betraying him and showing the devastation faint sorrow and confusion the shock created as his mind became a malestorm.
"It- it's Snakeheart now actually I.... We thought you were dead. We thought the coyotes got you like they did Stormcall and Sootstar" But it didnt get Sootflare did it even as the lie too easily fell off of his tongue (used to saying it, covering for the traitor) "I-I.... Can we talk? Privately please theres a lot... Things have happened." He was so so sorry "Excuse us everyone I'll see you next meeting at the moonstone I need to sort this, Peachfrost as always if you need anything feel free to visit anytime, Ebonyfang I hope we can keep our peace, overgrown mice shove off. Lets... Lets just find some empty space." There was always ever so much to say.

Sparrowskip
____________

"Hey bud." It warmed Sparrowskip's heart to see his former apprentice again, although he was still upset and angry to another level he was just relived Snakeheart was okay after he had encountered those coyotes. "Snakeheart huh.." Sparrowskip chuckled a bit at that comment. His apprentice was a full medicine cat and.. he wasn't even there to see it. He was very surprised to hear what happened to Sootstar and Stormcall. He tried not to make a scene however, as it was a gathering. He felt as the situation was tense enough seeing what he assumed were the new RiverClan leader and it looked like the ThunderClan leader staring daggers at each other. He turned back to Snakeheart and said "I was almost mauled by those coyotes but somehow I escaped. It was like they got distracted.. i assume from another cat." Sparrowskip winced as he said that. He would have definitely died if not for that distraction. Who he assumed was Stormcall, Sootstar.. or both.
Sparrowskip nodded and said "Yeah, i'd rather not talk with all these cats around. You lead the way Snakeheart." He looked at the other medicine cats and nodded at Ebonyfang as it was nice to see them again. Then he followed Snakeheart.

Ok... now she was definitely confused. Snakeheart had always been kind to her (she couldn't say she was always the best to him) but she knew of his snappy reputation. In fact, she had seen it first hand with the Thunderclan cats. Even someone as young as Iciclepaw wasn't safe from his harsh words. So for some random cat to wander into the gathering and render him absolutely speechless? That was something she never dreamed of.

She dipped her head at the Riverclan tom. "Thank you for everything Snakeheart, really." She meowed. It was time for him to return home with his... buddy? Brother? Mentor? I really wish I went to more than one gathering in my life... I don't know who this cat is...

The Riverclanner would eventually feel a ripple at his shoulders when Krestelstar's voice commanded from the rock. The meeting in their clearing was testing enough for their newest leader; to directly confront the possible perpretrators had to be incredibly taxing.

Firesweep was glad that Windclan and Shadowclan had no disasters to report. He wouldn't wish this troubling ruin onto any group. Anticipation simmered within everyone, he'd assumed. Riverclan needed answers.

sat neatly with all the cats who attended the gathering. She saw lots of new faces— ranging from apprentices and up. This was one of Spottedpaw’s first times going to a gathering. She was excited, and a bit nervous. As the leaders of other clans spokes, Spottedpaw didnt listen. Spottedpaw was too busy thinking about what she’d do if a fight broke out.

After a few moments she looked around the gathered cats, talking about things. And probably spilling secrets— who knows what cats do anymore. Who could she talk tooooooooooooo. Hmmm, kept sitting there not wanting to interact with someone but at the same time she did. ”This is stupid..” she mumbled to herself— honesty! It was though, just— going ti a big group of cats and sharing your weaknesses with the other clans? Just plain stupid! Spottedpaw kicked a rock someone, it most likely hit a cat but Spottedpaw didn’t care, they’d have to deal with it — Since there’s no fIghTinG at gatherings.

Flypaw sat there looking down as the cats around her chatted happily. She just felt so alone here where all the other cats were chatting together like a big family. It took an large chunk of effort to restrain herself from yowling out in loneliness. She felt just as she had moments ago back at the apprentices den. Like the deep void of loneliness was finally trying to engulf her in a cold and miserable and lonely life of darkness again. She shook her head to try to clear it of the dreadful thoughts that swirled in her mind. She wrapped her tail around her paws and took a breath. In, and out. In, and out. She silently spoke to herself as she took more deep breaths of air to try to calm herself and steer her mind away from her dark thoughts.

Ashnose was extremely nervous. She knew there was a truce in place, but what if some of the other ShadowClan cats saw her as a traitor and accused her? Would any of her clanmates stick up for her? She didn't think so.

Mentioned: Tiabirb (Starlingflight)
Mentioned: spade (Olivenose)

It would be the understatement of the century to surmise that Whitewolf was anything but exhausted with the petty fighting between particularly her Clan and Kestrelstar’s, but it wasn’t her place to put any of it to a stop. The dozens of angry Apprentices that seemed to want to attack cats from the other Clan during a time of peace…what on earth were their mentors teaching them? Whitewolf’s Apprentices would behave with the dignity and grace of a respectable Warrior candidate, or so help her—

At least her Gathering experience this moon hadn’t been all bad. She’d met Starlingflight, who was certainly a breath of fresh air amidst whatever…well, whatever this tension was. It seemed so thick Whitewolf thought she might be able to cut it with a claw. But instead she tried to make her way around and socialize with Warriors from other Clans, as much as she hated it sometimes as she had when Olivenose had captured her attention earlier.

(Yes I know horrible late, I'm sorry)
Confusing goals. That was something Deadpaw could understand. So much time spent trying to please the unpleasant, time that could have been spent learning to do things. She was an apprentice anyway, a decently skilled one at that, but she could have been a warrior by now. Maybe. True, sometimes you lose sight of what matters. she mused, before letting out a wry snort of amusement. Really, I couldn't have guessed. I thought you had a line of cats just WAITING to bask in your presence. I'm simply astounded. Yeah, it was pretty easy to tell this cat didn't make a lot of friends.

"I could say the same about you, you did call me stinky." she said. Though her tone was nothing but amused, she couldn't help but admit she had felt bad at first. It's not lie her clan didn't suffer stereotypes anyway.

For Dahliamoon (Snowberry)

Whitewolf knew she had a lot of energy for her age. She could still run around and get enough done in the day to be recognized as a ThunderClan Warrior, though she still had her moments.

Moments in which she felt old and jaded.

She looked to Snowberry when the she-cat asked her for the seat beside her, which seemed to be a coveted place that particular evening. Probably because it was so quiet and peaceful amidst the voracious conflict raging on around them.

”Go ahead,” said Whitewolf. She was glad the ShadowClan Warrior had the respect to ask her permission—a less tactful cat probably would have plopped right down.”

”As much as I love ThunderClan dearly, it is we who are the mess,” Whitewolf said with a huff. She really was tired of talking politics, particularly with cats from neither ThunderClan or RiverClan who had little—if anything—to do with what was going on. She’d much rather talk to the pawful of reasonable cats on either side…however many of them were left.

Whitewolf didn’t know.

A long, loud sigh escaped the leader as he listened to Kestrelstars words, his face blank. This was just getting exhausting. Here he thought he would be able to come out of his first gathering as leader without any major arguments, but that was quickly proven wrong. He understood that Kestrelstar was angry and grieving over the death of two respected clanmates, but wasnt Thunderclan doing the exact same thing? It was pretty twisted for the other leader to think that they were the only ones who had the right to feel upset in the situation, especially when Thunderclan also faced great loss in the past moon.

"Kestrelstar, as I said just moments ago, I will do everything in my power to locate the cat who did supposedly murder Fawnsqueak, but what if it wasnt a cat in Thunderclan that did it? What if it wasnt a cat at all? Stop jumping to conclusions and consider every possible option. There are so many ways in which this could have happened. Why would Thunderclan as a whole decide to kill some of your cats? If one singular cat was the culprit, that does not make our clan as a whole the villains" he was just...so over this. It was as if the Riverclan leader was desperate to blame others.

He was done with this argument, it wasnt going anywhere and was only causing more tension. And, thankfully, it seemed like Kestrelstar was done with it as well. Eveningstar was silent as the other leaders began their announcements, patiently waiting until it was his turn to speak. Twilightstar was the third to go, and once she was finished he padded forwards slightly until he was standing in front of the others.

"Thunderclan has been faring.... decently this past moon, though several cats have gone to join starclan all too soon. Rainywhisker, Dogspirit, and Applepaw were all killed by Lionstorm after he decided to enter our camp and announce his murder of Buckstar to the entire clan. Rainywhisker, whom he didnt know had stepped down, was used as a shield of sorts to keep himself for getting injured. This resulted in his death, made worse by the fact that he was likely still a medicine cat in Lionstorms eyes. Dogspirit, a queen with kits not yet weaned by the time of her death, was killed when she tried to avenge the death of Rainywhisker. The scent of kits and milk were all very present on her, so I see no way Lionstorm couldnt have noticed it. Applepaw fought valiantly against Lionstorm, but it seems he saw no reason to spare a young apprentice. He not only killed several of our cats who were only trying to fend him off, but he also succeeded in putting the lives of several kits in danger by killing their mother. If there were no other queens who were able to nurse them in the clan, then they would either have starved to death or would be on the brink of death."

"Not all is bad, though. Hopepaw, Fawnpaw, Smokepaw, Stagpaw, Streampaw, Mintpaw, Dawnpaw, Sprirtpaw, Flutterpaw, and Magpiepaw have all become apprentices. Rainywhisker, as I previously said, stepped down from medicine cat and in turn Sunhowl and Iciclepaw have become medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice respectively."

"I am also pleased to announce that several litters have been born. Dogspirit gave birth to Bumblekit, Houndkit, Rainykit, Icekit, and Grizzlykit before she unfortunately passed away, and Orangeflower has given birth to Tigerkit, Hollowkit, and Burkit." a light smile grew on the toms face as he listed the names of the newly born kits, though it faltered a bit at the mention of Dogspirit.

"There have been badgers spotted throughout our territory, so I urge you all to keep an eye out if they choose to move to other clans territories." And, with that, he was done. Dipping his head, he paced back to stand in line with the other leaders.

Plumstorm honestly became a little too distracted to keep up the conversation with the apprentice sitting with her. Despite never caring much for Gatherings, this was one she'd intended on listening to. Just a little, at least. And so far, talks from their leader started things off spicy. But it wasn't until Eveningstar replied that... The silvery mau had to turn away. That wasn't Lionstorm.

That wasn't.

That couldn't have been, right?

"I'm... Taking a walk," she manages to say to Nightpaw in a hushed, choking tone while she stands and lurches off to get some air. It was time to go back to the waves, the moonlight, the noise.
[ Kunaiskrill - Sorry it's been so long, this fell on the backburner as a lotta other timed things came up and I also fell behind on Everything haha ]

"Starclan I'm late!" Quietclaw shouted to himself, rushing over to the gathering, hoping that he would not be severely punished. that was not likely, but again, not impossible either... he burst into the meeting place, and a second later, multiple cats were looking at him like he ate before anyone else did. THAT was Embarrassing.

Palebrook watched as Quietclaw came into the Seastones. "Hey, Quietclaw," She meowed, walking towards him.

Palebrook thought. "Well, it's really just the same old stuff. Eveningstar is now leader, but I believe he's still looking for a deputy. WindClan found a new deputy as well, and a medicine cat. ShadowClan defeated the dogs on their territory, and got a couple new warriors. As did WindClan." She thought back to the leaders' announcements. "I think that's it."

"Dogspirit did have kits. Five, can you believe it?" Palebrook thought back to the Gathering once more. "I don't think Nightpaw has been given her warrior name yet, though."

"Oh" mewed Shadepaw "that's a relief, I thought you were actually upset with me for a moment there", um I don't know man I mean like you can be pretty annoying at times, still ignoring his conscious (which is me) the young apprentice looked over to Spottedpaw's leg and asked "so how's your leg doing?"
(Sorry for the short reply, have a lot of thing's going on irl)

(its fine :) )

Spottedpaw shuffled her paws, ”Its, it’s doing fine.” she mewed. No, she lied, it was absolutely terrible! It made her have a hard time sleeping at night, always tossing and turning around in her nest. But she shouldn’t show weakness, she is no moron. It made her weaker when running, and she was always limping. Why couldn’t this stupid thing go away? ”It still hurts though..” she said honestly.

Soon, Eveningstar, the Thunderclan leader started talking. He announced that Thunderclan was doing decent, though a few of them had died to the hands of lionstorm. And that there was kits who became apprentices, queens who gave birth, and that there were badgers spotted around they’re territory. ”Poor Dogspirit.” she mewed feeling bad for the poor queen. Spottedpaw rarely ever feels bad for cats. Starclan was probably letting all this happen because like some wise cats say, “bad always comes before the good.” And Spottedpaw was waiting for that, patiently.

"hm, oh well. nice talking to you by the way!" "Do you remember when you were becoming a warrior?" "I think patrol is boring how about you?"
