With spring just around the corner, we're holding a sitewide event to get those creative juices flowing and to celebrate its upcoming arrival!
It's time to clean off your sketchbook, dust off that typewriter and get cracking!

They say that a four leaf clover is the luckiest item (next to the horseshoe and fuzzy dice ofc.) So what better way to kick off the season than trying to hunt down some of that luck for yourself?

You have three places where your character can search:

:luckyclover: In Camp: Buzzing with clan activity, a few clover plants have found their homes in the bustling clearing. Patches of foliage grow in the less occupied sections of the glade, and some even flourish within a few of the dens themselves.
*Search Ideas: Look under a rock or in some tight spaces! Give the herb storage a look-see or check the other dens, it could be anywhere!

:luckyclover: Around the Territory: Though most of it is still covered in snow, the rising temperatures is beginning to slowly melt natures blanket. Many bushes and even some trees are seen slowly re-growing their leaves!
*Search Ideas: Underneath some bushes and evergreen trees, since the snow is lighter there. In burrows or tunnels, as some clovers thrive in dark and damp places.

:luckyclover: By Streams, Ponds, and the River: The ice on the river and ponds has started to break apart, making treading the top treacherous. Beneath the surface lies icy water that could chill the bones of any cat who falls in. Be careful!
*Search Ideas: The river bank, beneath a waterfall, or in a secret cave behind the waterfall! You could also look along the edges of streams or check the grasses around ponds.

In Camp:

Frostpaw yawned, it was a warm spring day, and someone had told her there was a competition in Thunderclan of who could collect the most clovers. First Frostpaw went into the herb storage and grabbed all the clovers in the den and hid them in her nest so Grainyflicker couldn’t steal her precious clovers. Then she got an idea up her non-existent sleeve, she’d get all the clovers from every single medicine cat’s herb storage.

First Frostpaw went to Windclan, and quickly spotted where the den was, she knew it was wrong but frankly could care less, using her claws she ripped a hole into the side of the Coldamber’s den and quickly found Coldamber’s collection of clovers and quickly got them back to her camp to hide in her nest.

Now would be a little bit trickier, stealing clover’s from Fakepaw’s den. Fakepaw was fiesty, but she could beat him up again if she needed too. She decided to lie her way in, she waited at the border and waited for a warrior and asked them,” Hey, could you lead me to your camp, I need to borrow an herb from...snakepaw,” she lied, the warrior happened to be named Blizzardsky,” Sure kiddo” he meowed. Frostpaw was lead into Snakepaw’s den,” I’ll go find Snakepaw for you, hang here, kiddo.” Blizzardsky told her before leaving. Once the stupid warrior left, Frostpaw grabbed all of Snakepaw’s clover and booked it back to her territory then to her nest to shove the new clover into her nest.

Finally, she’d have to do the hardest one, stealing clovers from Bonyfang and Flouncepaw, and try to avoid Dawnstar, then again she could easily beat up Dawnstar. She lashed her tail as she left her den at night and she covered herself in mud in Shadowclan territory to mask her scent as she snuck into the camp and silently jumped onto the roof of the elder’s den and proceeded to jump across the roofs of the den until she landed on the stinky herby den, she dropped down and quietly, to avoid waking Bonyfang and Flouncepaw, snuck into the den to steal the clovers and quietly return them to her den, hoping her stench wouldn’t wake Grainyflicker before heading to the river and bathing.

In the morning Frostpaw proudly proclaimed her victory,” I’ve collected 500 clovers.” she announced, when in reality she only had around 15 clovers, which was still a lot of clovers.

By Streams, Ponds, and the River:

Snowpaw looked around the river trying to find what the others called a four leaf clover. She had no idea what they looked like besides they are green. Looking at the edge of the river bank finding at least one. She then found another one later on down by the Pond. The stream she found another. But the last few she looked around declaring that she only found about 2 so far. She kept looking and wandered where the kissing falls was as she liked to call them as she saw cats gather around there. Looking at the waterfall she smiled looking at the water. She then went to the cave back behind it she found moss and as well as another clover. She smiled looking at it finding about now maybe 7 clovers. "I have found 7" she mews softly.

By the River:

Ebonypaw was bored. There was seemingly nothing to do in camp. He looked up at the fluffy clouds that dotted the sky, a sad expression on his face. Ebonypaw was never one to be sentimental, but for some reason, he couldn’t stop thinking about his mom.

No…. She’s not my mom, he thought to himself, the sadness turning into anger. She never cared about me. Oh, how he wished she had. If she had respected his wishes to stay in RiverClan, maybe even joined him, it would’ve been different.

He shook his head, snapping back to reality. He turned around, facing the camp exit, where he saw two apprentices walking out with a warrior, presumably one of their mentors. They seemed so happy, excited to go train.

Ebonypaw wished he could be like that. So hoping to go train on his own, he followed them out of camp. He knew it was a stupid plan, but maybe, just maybe, he would learn something from it.

He followed them through the territory, only to find that they were heading toward the river. His eyes widened, and as he began to walk back to camp, he tripped and fell. Ebonypaw braced himself, waiting to hit a rock, or the hard dirt. But instead he landed in… Something kind of soft.

He looked around him and saw a patch of this weird plant he had never seen before. Of course, he had never seen most plants, but he four-leaved herbs fascinated him. He immediately thought of the baby medicine cat, and how maybe these could help him. He knew he had been an ass on that herb patrol, so maybe he could make it up to him by bringing him the strange herb.

Or he could keep them.

But would that be selfish? Ebonypaw wasn’t quite sure, so instead of dwelling on it, he began plucking up as much of the plant as he could. After a few moments, he began to head back to camp, carrying the plant.

Now should I bring it to Snakepaw, or keep it..? he thought to himself, and after a little while he padded to the apprentices den. Moving toward his nest in the back, he placed the interesting plant underneath the nest, where no one would find it and it was safe.

Tired from the walk to the river, he curled up in his nest and shut his eyes, letting sleep wash over him.

In Camp

Fizzlepaw padded around the camp. He was curious about finding those things known as clovers. He had Linnetwing tell him what they were before he went looking for them. The first place he looked was in the nursery. Maybe his squish would help him find them or maybe he was hiding them. Nah he wouldn’t bother him right now. The apprentice padded over to a tight spot in the den, reaching his small paw into the crack. He felt around until he felt something. He pulled his paw back and hooked a claw into the leaf.

“Wait! This no clover!”, he meowed. He threw it back into the crack and stormed out of the den. Maybe he could find some in the elders den. Fizzlepaw padded over to the elders den and poked his head in. He noticed something green under a rock.

He padded over to it and turned it over. There lying there was a clover. He found one! He actually found one! He ran out to go and find Linnetwing. He looked everywhere before finding her outside of the warriors den.

“Linnetwing. Clover Fizzle found!”, Fizzlepaw meowed in excitement. Linnetwing looked up from where she was sitting and saw him with the clover. She gave him a purr. She was proud of him to find one. He was just too cute.

“Thats a nice one.”, meowed Linnetwing. Fizzlepaw puffed out his chest and moved around to find his mentor. He wanted to show him the clover. He sure would be proud of him.

“Chaser sun! Oh Chaser Sun! Found Clover!”, he called.

And another day.. rose. The dark-furred apprentice stumbled out of the apprentice's den, her eyes barely open. The light practically blinding her as she left. Ooh.. light. Darkpaw smiled as she surveyed the clearing, not too empty.. Friends could be made! She walked up to a group of cats to hear them talking about.. clovers? What were those? Weren't they those.. green four-leafed things? Hmmm.. Maybe she'd find one! Her smile grew to a grin as she bounded back into the apprentice den. Ohhh, she had to find something!

She looked under little rocks, got her muzzle under some moss, looked in all the corners and.. came up empty. But she did find a cool looking bug! That kept her going as she raced back out into the clearing, the she-cat almost running into several other cats as she ran to the elders' den.

Politely, she asked to look for the clovers. Andd.. the elders let her! Woo hoo! She did the same searching she did in the apprentice den, trying her hardest not to invade the elders' space too much. She came up with nothing.. but one of the elders had told her a cool story! As the sun began to set, Darkpaw left the elders' den and went for the medicine cat den.

Onward and upward!

Her everlasting grin remained on her face as she asked to look for clovers. She was allowed to do so and she searched and searched and searched.. Under moss, under rocks, behind injured cats (which she was polite and asked to look first, of course), and she even checked the herb storage! Nothing..

Darkpaw sighed, leaving the medicine den. She was about to give up when.. a little green plant caught her eye. It was near the leader's den so she slowly approached the plant, hoping not to be caught and.. Sssck! She cut the clover with her claw and caught it in her mouth. A cloverrr! The apprentice bounced for joy as night finally settled in, oh how time flies when you're having fun!

~Silverclaw~
In Camp
Silverclaw stretched in her nest in the warriors den. She got up and shook herself, making sure she was fully awake. When she stepped out of the warriors den, a scent hit her. It smelled great. She looked around and realized that new leaf was coming. She sniffed the air again and a faint memory came back to her. She remembered the first new leaf she had seen since she was born. She had been so excited at the change that she thought she was in a new world. She remembered gathering clovers and passing them out to the kits in the nursery. Silverclaw got an idea and decided to search for some clovers. She looked around all the dens with no luck until she reached the nursery. She went behind it and found a nice patch. She carefully picked one and carried it back to her nest. She gathered more and decorated her nest until it looked beautiful. She smiled and lay in her nest again, making sure she didn’t squish any of the clovers.
~Whitepaw~
Around the Territory
Whitepaw padded around the territory. She had woken up from a nap and decided to go out into the territory. She had made a great choice. New leaf was more noticeable in the territory. Whitepaw saw the snow melt a little as she walked. She sniffed at the air again and a memory came back to her. This one was a bit faint but it was clear. In this memory, she's in a twoleg garden. She recognizes this garden and realizes this is the garden of the twoleg den she loved to go to when she was a kittypet. She remembers that the backyard always had a lot of clovers during new leaf. Whitepaw comes out of her memory and she prances around the territory, a smile on her face. She jumps around and laughs happily. She goes to a tree and sits next to it, looking up to see if the tree has any leaves. They have a few and as Whitepaw looks down, she notices a clover next to her paw. It's a big one, beautiful and alive. It sways in the little breeze there is. Whitepaw carefully digs it out, making sure not to damage it. She picks it with her teeth and she heads back to camp, heading towards her nest in the apprentices den and she places it carefully in her nest, making sure it stands out.
~Fiercepaw~
By Streams, Ponds, and the River
Fiercepaw exited camp. She was thirsty after running around and looking for clovers. She headed towards the river, padding slowly so she didn't waste any energy. She reached the river and dipped her paw in, testing to see how cold it was. It was ok. She lowered her head to take a drink when she a something green at the corner of her eye. Drinking quickly, she looked closely at the thing, she saw it was another clover. Her luck was great! She picked it carefully and looked at it, smiling. It was really bright, with a little bit of frost melting on it. She looked at the riverbank and realized that there were a lot of clovers there. She picked a tree and placed the clover she had found next to it. She quickly picked all the clovers and made a circle with the clovers, the tree inside the circle of clovers. Fiercepaw smiled and ran back to camp, refreshed. She went into the apprentices den and layed down in her nest, drifting off into sleep.

Oh, Mumblemuzzle.. why did you have to go and walk on the ice? A bone-chilling thought as the icy cold water gave him a shiver. His head broke through the water's edge and he gasped wildly for air. AIR! The tom coughed and gasped as he dragged himself out of the water. Hooh.. that was terrible. Be careful, you idiot! The warrior shook out his fur before remembering what he came here for. Right.. clovers. The hottest craze in the clans.. Collecting clovers. Sigh. Oof, cold.. He definitely wasn't falling in again. Oh, there were still more places to search.. better start!

Carefully creeping along the edge, the tom looked below him searching for any kinds of clovers. Nothing yet.. Continuing on, he made it to the end of the river. Which was a pond and a waterfall. Wow.. Amazement at this beautiful sight rippled through him. So cool.. Mumblemuzzle shook his head and continued to search, eventually.. finding a single clover! Yes! Now he just needed moree! This was.. oddly fun! He could understand the craze now..

The tom could see a little opening behind the waterfall, so slowly, he crept up a path leading to a ledge behind it. And into the dark cave he went! Hopefully there was nothing bad inside.. He squeezed through the hole and was welcomed into a large, dimly lit cavern. Woah.. There were little crystals in the cave, seemingly absorbing the sunlight to light up the area. Gingerly, the warrior took a step forward, and another, and yet another. Until he was deep into the newly found cave. He searched and.. found nothing. But that was alright, he'd found this beautiful paradise instead.

Leaving the cavern, he continued back down the river. Down and down and down. Until he reached an even LARGER river. This one seemed to have a current. A strong one too. He'd definitely have to be careful so he.. wouldn't be swept away! Staying a ways away from the edge, the warrior continued until he found.. another clover! But it was right next to the river.. he would have to be VERY, VERY careful.. Leaning forward, Mumblemuzzle reached for the clover with his claws and snagged it. Quickly pulling it to him, it was yanked out of the ground and he caught it in his mouth. Great! Now he had two clovers! Woo hoo!

With a smile on his face, the tom turned and returned back home, proud of the two clovers now in his possession.

In Camp:

Mosskit woke up, spring was here! Oooo, let’s go find a four-leaf clover! That will be awesome! she thought.

She ran off, she went to the elders den, she looked around. Nothing here she thought.

Then she went to the warriors den, she searched around. She looked under the moss beddings but still couldn’t find anything!

Next she went to the apprentices den, she looked everywhere. But all she found was a bundle of leafs that looked like four-leaf clovers.

Then she went to the nursery. She looked everywhere again! But guess what? There was still no four-leaf clovers!

Then she looked around camp, she looked around a few flower beds, but there was still none, she found a spot where she thought she saw one, so she kept looking in that spot, and guess what? A few hours later she gave up, she was going to the nursery, so as soon as she turned around to go to the nursery she saw a FOUR-LEAF CLOVER! she was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so happy! But a little bit annoyed with herself.

She bounced back to the nursery with the four-leaf clover in her mouth.

~ The River - Submission 1/3 ~

Featherbreeze was taking a stroll along the river. Its calm ripples were soothing to look at. She enjoyed walking by the river, she rarely gave herself time to unwind. Although she really did enjoy talking to other cats, sometimes she needed some time to wind down.
As she walked across the riverbank, she began to notice the clusters of grass that grew along with it. They were filled with a lot of clovers. And by a lot, she meant a lot of them. They were very pretty, especially since they were some of the only green you would see due to leaf-bare.
Featherbreeze was drawn to a certain patch. This one was smaller than the rest, yet it seemed greener than the rest as well. She bent down to take in the sweet smell yet it was just something of a grassy smell, with a sort of sting that came with it. It was a strange feeling, yet she didn't regret smelling it.
As Featherbreeze admired the beauty of the clovers, she noticed one, in particular, that seemed strange. At first, she couldn't put her finger on it, but with closer examination, she realized instead of three leaves it had four. Four perfectly even leaves. Not just one cut in half, four perfectly symmetrical leaves. It seemed to glow brighter than the others as well.
Featherbreeze wasn't a very superstitious person, yet this seemed to be a charm of some sort. She remembered someone back at camp talking about "four-leafed clovers" and how they brought "good luck" or something of the sort. As if there was a competition or something like that. Just in case, Featherbreeze picked it up and immediately it felt like some sort of weight, or burden had been lifted off her shoulders. Could it be true? Could this four-leafed clover really bring her good luck? Featherbreeze was willing to find out.

As she padded back to camp, the clover was still in her mouth. There had been no incidents, but that wasn't proof enough for her that it actually was lucky, or anything of the sort. She needed real proof, and she would get this by going to the most unlucky place in the whole clan where incidents seemed a hundred times more likely to happen.
Featherbreeze padded into a dark part of the forest. This surely would bring her bad luck, and disprove this silly superstition. Featherbreeze waited and waited. She waited for some sign of anything bad. It felt like hours went by as she stood there, with that silly plant in her mouth. She had become accustomed to its bitter-sweet taste and smell.
Once Featherbreeze had had enough of waiting, she turned back to walk to camp. As she was walking back to camp, she passed under a branch that was swaying from the weight of snow that had piled up on there, and due to the darkness, it had failed to melt yet. Just after she walked under it, it fell down in a big Boom! Featherbreeze flinched and realized that could have brought her to a terrible fate.
It was proof enough that the clover worked! Featherbreeze began dashing back to camp, this new-found sense of power giving her a sense of calm and power. Nothing bad could happen to her, not with this plant in her mouth.

"]Well this was just great. What were the pawsteps that had led him here, exactly?

If he was being completely honest, Kestrelwing wasn't even sure anymore. One moment he was snarling and snapping at any kit that waddled his direction, and the next... he was seeking out pretty clovers for them. Stupid green plants that supposedly brought "luck". The gray tabby rolled his eyes; yeah, right. Luck and hope were for those foolish enough to believe in them. Himself, he had always been logical over emotional, and couldn't wrap his head around any other approach.

Except maybe he was learning to, what with this ridiculous "clover hunt", as Fernkit had dubbed it. Stupid WindClan kit.

There wasn't any use fighting it now. If he didn't show up with a clover he risked being called "stinky" again, and the thought alone made him flexed his claws. Kestrelwing heaved a sigh and parted his jaws to perhaps try to draw the scent of one in. What did clovers even smell like? He was no medicine cat, he had no idea... bitter? Sweet? Ugh, scent would be no use.

Letting his yellow gaze refocus the RiverClan warrior scanned the clearing, trotting back and forth between the warriors' den to the leaders den to the apprentices den. Each search he turned up empty-pawed, no covers as his prize for tedious work.

Aha! The medicine den!

Spinning on his heels Kestrelwing half-walked half-ran into the herb cave, wrinkling his nose as the strong stench that hit him. He intended to be brief, practically holding his breath as he poked his head back into the storage. He recognized burnet... burdock root... cobweb, of course...

No damn clover.

With a growl of frustration the gray tabby whipped his head out from the storage unit and spun around, storming out of the medicine den. His paws stomped in the mud, making a final stop in the middle of camp. Where in the heck were these devilish little plants hiding??

Maybe he would have better luck in the marshy territory of RiverClan's lands...

"]Newleaf was beginning to rear it's head in the form of melted snow and birdsong, and Kestrelwing hated all of it. The warmer weather was nice, sure, but the annoying feathered creatures were ruining it. What did they have to be so happy about, anyways? Life wasn't all that much more exciting up in the sky as compared to on the ground.

Kestrelwing gave a snort as a rather loud call drew from a bird as it took flight, seemingly being chased by another bird. Not so happy now, were they? He swung his gaze from the dancing sparrows to the path ahead of him. He knew RiverClan territory like the back of his paws, but not once could he recall the stubborn four-leaved plant he was seeking.

Nose to the ground he tried to distinguish any trace of what the "herb" might smell like - or at least anythign that had a different scent than fish, mud, or prey. There were a few springy patches here and there, but none resembled a clover.

"This is ridiculous. I bet I could bring back any green plan and the little bunny wouldn't know the difference," Kestrelwing muttered under his breath, scooping a pawful of mud underneath him and tossing it to the side.

Perhaps he should just do that...

No, no. That would risk another 'stinky' if Fernkit happened to figure out he was just trying to pass of another plant such as a dandelion or regular leaf for a clover.

It really shouldn't have been this hard, especially with RiverClan territory bathed in sunlight and newleaf awakening. Kestrelwing swung his head back and forth, now just briefly scanning each area before moving on.

This was a complete and utter drag, and the gray tabby was sorely regretting his decision to partake in such a silly event. Maybe he should call the territory a dud and try searching closer to the streambeds. RiverClan had plenty when it came to those, and if this grandiose clover was hiding from him, the most ironic and accurate place would be an area resembling his first meeting place with Fernkit.

So, with a flick of his tail and a heavy sigh, Kestrelwing changed directions and started on the path towards the bubbling river that separated his home.

"]By the time he made the trek all the way out to Sedgwater Valley, Kestrelwing's paws ached a bit. He'd been on them from dawn, and was beginning to miss the comfort of the warriors den despite the ever present snoring that filled the usually quiet walls.

He stopped as he rounded the hill that overlooked the riverbank and WindClan's side, the exposed moorland stretching out as far as they eye could see. It sent a shiver down his spine and he couldn't understand how cats could live like that.

"Alright, focus. It's got four leaves, it's green, and if you don't get one, you're gonna get called stinky by a kit-who-is-really-a-warrior-but-now-really... Oh, just find the clover." The tom shook his head as the inner monologue continued, trotting down to flank the river side.

There didn't seem to be anything drawing his attention - at least nothing green. Plenty of fish swam below the current, tempting his paws to take a detour. But no. Kestrelwing was on a mission. He had to find this clover and get back to Fernkit and find the floof's sister and then wash his paws of it all.

This would not become a recurring habit for him.

"Damn," he snarled under his breath as he reached a curve in the riverbed with not even a hint of clovers. Were they even real? Or was it something Fernkit had made up to send him on a wild goose chase. Oh, if that was the case he certainly didn't appreciate it. "Someone is going for a swim," Kestrelwing growled as he turned, stalking back in the direction of where he was planned to meet back up with Fernkit

Just as he was about to round the corner something caught his ear, swiveling it backwards. The sound of tumbling water over stones, quiet yet still distinct enough to be heard.

It was worth a shot, at least...

He pushed his way through the reeds, parting them with a shove of his skinny shoulders. Up ahead was a slightly large waterfall, one of which Kestrelwing had to crane his neck back to see the top of. On each side of him extended outwards were moss paths, circling outwards from his paws and meeting together behind the waterfall. The ground was springy and plants seemed to thrive, and a smile curved on his face.

This had to be it.

He moved quickly from one patch to the next, getting closer and closer to the back of the waterfall. Paws skidded around the side, ignoring the sprays from the waterfall. None here, nor there...

Halting in his tracks, Kestrelwing's yellow eyes locked onto two tall standing plants, their stems skinny and faces bent slightly forward. He didn't have to think about it, he just knew. These were the clovers.

Relief lapped at his paws like the waves at Lionsbeach and he bent his neck down tot examine his prize. One was tall, thicker than the others. Next to it a smaller one, with leaves just beginning to bloom. Without realizing it Kestrelwing laughed. How ironic was this. Out of all the place he'd checked there hadn't been a single sighting of clovers, and how were were two perfect ones. If this was his luck, then so be it. At least he'd found them.

Carefully the tom picked them both by the stems and backed out from behind the screen of the waterfall. Two would be enough, and if Fernkit demanded more, well, then he could march back here himself and look.

A swish of his tail and a throw back of his shoulders and the gray tabby tom sauntered out of the enclosed space, a light skip in his step as he made his way back to where his companion awaited.

Around the Territory/Camp:

(WOO TIME FOR A CAT ZOMBIE AU)

Fawnkit walked out of the nursery surprised by the chill in the air. He looked around for everyone but couldn't seen to find them. "Hello?" , he called, feeling sad and alone. He heard a noise coming from outside camp and he knew he wasn't supposed to leave camp buuuut nobody was here so it was probably his best bet. He wandered out of camp, normally he would've enjoyed the forest and the sound of the birds- the birds!! That's what had been bothering him!! The forest was so quiet. He was debating calling out again when he hear a scream. "Was that Rainywhisker?", he asked in alarm before charging off. The sight he saw was enough for him to almost fall over. Rainywhisker, their medicine cat, lying in a pool of his own blood. But that wasn't the scariest part. He had a chunk of his flesh bitten out by what were to small to be dog and to clean to be fox. He didn't register what it was until he heard a noise coming from the trees. He turned around slowly to see Eveningmist frothing at the mouth with a hint of blood. He turned back shocked to Rainywhisker and the tom called out "Run Fawnkit!! You must find the four leaf clover and save your clan from the zombies!! ", with that Rainywhisker layed down his eyes closed. Fawnkit felt panic building in his chest and he wanted to bury the tom but a murmur of "brains,, " coming from Eveningmist was enough to send him running. He ran towards the edge of the Territory hoping that one of the other clans could help, but it seemed as if every cat had become a brainless zombie!! He knew his only choice was to find the four leaf clover Rainywhisker had mentioned. He searched and searched and just when he was about to give up, he saw it!! Glimmering in the light he silently sent a thank-you to Starclan and carefully clipped the clover off with his teeth. He had saved the clan!! Soon his clanmates turned back to normal and celebrated. Buckstar personally came up to him and announced to the clan "Behold!! This kit shall now be Cloverstar!! The new leader of Cloverclan!!" Fawnkit was so happy!! But when a sharp pain in his stomach woke him up he realized it had all been a dream. His sister Mosskit had pawed him in her sleep. "Move over silly", he muttered, crestfallen that his dream hadn't been real, but when he saw a four-leaf clover right outside the nursery, he smiled and grabbed it. Sure, it may not be as fantastic as his dream, but he preferred being Fawnkit over Cloverstar anyways,,,

Hope you enjoyed!! TLDR: Fawnkit save the forest from a zombie apocalypse and becomes the leader of Cloverclan only to wake up and be disappointed it was a dream, but he smiles to himself when he finds a clover tucked into the nest.

Moonstep was delighted to hear about the clovers that have grown near by, she was waiting for this day sience she was a kit. now all she had to do.....was find them. the fierst place she decided to look was near the River. "there must be lots near the river, there has just got to be" she said as she padded her way to the river, the first place she looked was under a rock. she gasped as she found two four leaf clovers under it "yay!, my first two four leaf clovers of spring" she said jumping up and down she then went gathering pine needdels and started makeing a small basket out of them she then put her two four leaf clovers in the basket, she then started to look around more. as time went on she soon found in total 10 four leaf clovers near the river. she was happy to find them at last.

~Gingerspot~

Gingerspot had watched as her friend Moonstep had went to the river to find clovers, she thought she mite as well look arround the clan as well.

"i do hope to find at least a few four leaf clovers around the dens" she said as she looked around she then looked at the corner of the warriors denn she smiled seeing a four leaf clover she smiled picking it up. she then went to look around the out side off the entrence. there near the opening she found two more clovers. "this is getting fun, every time" she said. she then looked near the apprentice den finding two more clovers there as well, she was happy to find clovers. as time went on she soon founf 7 four leaf clovers around the tarritory.

~Moonstep~

Moonstep hummed as she reterned from the river with her basket she looked around Thunderclan Tarritory. "hmm, i wonder if there are some around here as well" she said as she set her basket down near a tree. she then began to look near a berry bush she smiled finding a clover. picking it she continued her search. she looked under bushes and near trees happily humming as she found two, to three under a bush. she smiled as she looked at the pile she had of clovers, over her serch she had collected 8 clovers

Leafkit and Frostkit
Leafkit was curled up in her moss nest when she remembered her plan to find clovers. Quickly, she got up and looked around. Leafkit spotted Frostkit already curled up and quickly woke her, the wind rustling Leafkit's ears. "Come one, wake" she teased Frostkit. Leafkit did not want to go find clovers alone. "Whyyyyyy" Frostkit meowed, letting out a long, sleepy moan. "We just have to find clovers" Leafkit quickly meowed, nudging Frostkit to her paws. Frostkit spotted a stone with a crack in it. "We could start looking here" she meowed, flicking her tail towards the rock. Leafkit nodded, and they both scraped their paws in the cracks. Frostkit had a little cut at the end of her paw, but at least they had got some clovers. "Yes!" Leafkit meowed triumphantly, but quickly stopped when she saw Frostkit's paw. "Are you ok? You could go dry it in the moss" she mewed encouragingly to her friend. "And get my bedding wet?" Frostkit teased but wiped her paw on the moss. "Should we look in the clearing?" she mewed when her paw was clean. Leafkit nodded and they went after Frostkit. She looked in a patch of tight woven vines, and opened her mouth to pick up a few clovers. "Found some!" Leafkit meowed to Frostkit as she put them down. Frostkit put her ones down too. And then they spotted in the middle of the pile - a four leaf clover!

Fernstream
Fernstream padded out of camp and into the icy snow, her paws aching. She looked around and scented the air - Fernstream scented mice and - clovers? She quickly went towards the base of the scent. Fernstream padded over to a bush, her paws now covered in snow. "Yes, some clovers!" she meowed and took them into her mouth. Fernstream found a nice dry patch under the tree and put the clovers there. She quickly dashed off to find some more clovers. There was a nice amount in a crack of a rock, and some on a grassy patch. Fernstream put them all down and looked through the pile. And then... "A four leaf clover!" she exclaimed happily. This would give her some luck for sure.

Tornpaw
Tornpaw padded into the hollow, his depressions surging through. He gave himself a quick lick and murmured "You can do this" Tornpaw was about to try and catch prey when he saw a glittering waterfall, reflection the stars. Can I go through? he wondered and padded towards it. Tornpaw put one paw through, and felt that there was hard ground on the other side. "You can do this he murmured again. Even though he was not a RiverClan cat, he did like Water. Tornpaw quickly leaped through, the loud rushing noise in his ears. When he was through, he was really impressed. "Wow" Tornpaw meowed in astonishment. There were beautiful flowers and shells all around, and the prey scent was rich. But there was another scent - "Clovers!" He exclaimed. Maybe he would be lucky enough to find a four leaf clover? Tornpaw noticed it came from the shells - maybe he would have to open one of them? He tried with five, and there was nothing in them. But then he saw the brightest one - a glittery white shell with blue marks. Tornpaw quickly slid his claw through to open it, and was really happy with what he saw - a four leaf clover! All his depressions were forgotten!

Imma do more later!

In Camp Submission

Tawnypaw's ears twitched, her fur was bristling happily as she felt the warmth of the sun resting upon her back, she LOVED the warmth of it!

Looking around, the chocolate tortoiseshell gave out a happy yawn, standing up and padding around camp, what should she do? Her blue-gray gaze looked curosily around at the cats in the clearing.

Should she go talk to Flutterkit? Nah, she might be busy or something. Go ask if she can go hunting? No, too much things were already happening..what about..

"An adventure!" She chirped happily towards herself, earning her some glances of confusion, but that didn't stop her! Being as happy as she was, bounced up and down, and decided to stroll around camp, seeing if she can find anything.

The young apprentice strolled around camp, looking around the clearing. No sign of anything suspicious or anything unusual yet. What if she looked in the other dens? The thought just made the apprentice twitch her ears happily, pretty much glad to be doing this.

Turning over towards the elder's den, she padded her way right on over, tail raised and everything! Maybe being a little rude about waking any elder's from her sleep, she looked around the den..hoping to find something. But unfortunately, there was nothing there?!

Tawnypaw pouted a little, saying a small sorry to the elders before immediately dashing off. Where else was there to look? There was the warriors den, but she doesn't wanna wake any cranky warriors that are being lazy or something like that.

There was also the nursery! But she didn't want to annoy any of the queens with her very childish manner..Wait! There was one place she had forgotten!

The apprentice's den!

How was she so foolish? The young molly placed a small paw on her head, before happily making making her way over towards the narrow entrance, making her smile widely.

"I can check here for anything!" she squeaked, making her bounce up and down like a playful little kit. She bounced right on in there, being careful to not destroy any of the beds or anything within the den.

After probably hours of searching, her hopes of finding anything slowly started to die down. She had a small, barely even visible smile on her face, her paws starting to ache from looking around and such.

Just as she was about to give up and leave..a small plant had caught her eye..was it..it couldn't be..

She padded over towards it, an loud shriek of excitement as she noticed that the tiny green thing was.

"A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER!!!" She yowled, immediately going over towards it. She had heard about these things for a long time! She couldn't wait to show Flutterkit and the others of what she found!

Carefully, she bit down on the stem, taking it out of the ground. It was rather tricky to get it out carefully, but luckily it was in good condition! "Now, to show Flutterkit what I got!" she purred, her chest rumbling happily as she padded off. Her eyes shut with her tail in the air, this wasn't so bad after all!

Territory/Iciclepaw
The dark grey she-cat pawed her way through the territory- she wasn't technically allowed to be out without a warrior, but curiosity had taken the reins today. So, here Iciclepaw was- standing in a small clearing, and just looking around. She didn't know what she was looking for really, mainly just looking... under a rock, in the ferns [she saw a mouse but it scurried away, unfortunately]. And finally, as the apprentice was about to turn and head back to camp, her green eyes spotted a plant. It was a lonely little thing, no other plants besides a few blades of grass were near it. At closer inspection, it turned out to have four leaves...

"A four-leaf clover!" she meowed cheerfully.

-Blazepaw-
Blazepae woke up,something was different, her eyes shone in the gloom of the den,but something lay beyond the walls.Wildpaw got up and shook scraps of moss from her fur,she scented the air,it tasted of wild growing things, new flowers, ferns unfurling, wet grass, and Adventure. Her whiskers twitched with excitement,it was finally greenleaf it was here! after the cold hard leaf bare it was finally here, she could tell.Blazepaw padded out,the morning was still chilly, and there was still some snow on the ground, but new life could be found everywhere in the Riverclan camp, birds were singing, patches of new grass were just poking out of the snow, and faint morning sunshine was seeping out of the the camp walls. Some cats huddled in a exited flurry in one corner of the camp Wildpaw walked by and heard a snippet of their conversation,"did you hear the news?"one cat asked,"yes whoever finds a four leaf clover is really lucky I heard it myself"said the second cat,"But that's impossible",the third cat added with a shrug, but Blazepaw didn't stay to hear the rest, because she was already bolting down to find one,"I can do this"she thought with determination,"I will find that clover, and I know just the place".Blazepaw ran as fast as the wind, her breath billowing in the could air like a small cloud, her paws thrumming a fast rhythm on the earth as she went tearing through the reeds. She stopped at the bank of the river and looked around, there were already a few patches of clovers close to the water, the river ice was floating in huge chunks, and the river looked twice its size,"It must be the melting snow"Blazepaw thought as she crouched low to the clovers looking at all of them."One two three not four, one two three not four",Blazepaw repeated as she counted. It was already early morning by the time Blazepaw checked all the clover patches around the river, but the water creeped up on the last patch which was on a small mound, the mount stuck up out of the water a few tail lengths into the flooded river."hey it isn't that far,I'm a riverclan cat,I can swim over there",Blazepaw though as she gently dipped her paws into the icy water.Just as she did her paws slipped from under her and she plunged into the water. The cold shocked her and made her feel numb from tail tip to where the water rose to her belly fur."this is not that bad"Blazepaw chattered, she clenched her teeth and walked closer to the mound, soon the waves were up to her shoulders and then her chin, she had to swim,"I'm doing it I'm really doing it!"she said as she paddled closer and closer to the mound.Suddenly a huge current dragged her away and deeper to the middle of the river,Blazepaw tried to swim but it was too strong,it pulled her under.Everything was black, the river roared in her ears, the water filled her mouth, nose, and ears,"Starclan help me"she thought desperately.Suddenly she felt her claws scrape against something hard,Wildpaw lashed out and hooked her claws into the hard object, thousands of gallons of water pounded over her head churning up the water.Blazepaws head broke to the surface, she gulped up air and spat out all the water.Shivering she groomed her fur and was soon mostly dry.She looked around, she was in a small cave that could fit one or two cats, there were mossy rocks, and sparkling gems that lit out this hole space,a water fall of water glittered and echoed in the small space, the cave was behind the waterfall!.Blazepaws gaze drifted over to the center of the cave,Clovers!,she ran over sna started to sort through them,"a clover,a four leaf clover!"she exclaimed,"and another, and another",Blazepaw found at least two paw fulls of clovers, and even some catmint!,"uh,we need catmint more than clovers"she sighed remembering that catmint could cure white cough, and the dangerous and sometimes fatal green cough. So Wildpaw left a lot of her clovers and picked up the catmint and some of the clovers and slowly picked her way across some stones that led over the water to the river bank.Blazepaw held her head high as she padded back into camp, with fur matted, clovers and catmint in her mouth, her eyes were shining, but she knew that it was worth it,mostly.

Dawnkit, who was bonding around the camp trying to catch a feather, jumped up to grab it but missed and fell into a patch of clovers. "oooh! These are pretty! I wander what they are!" She mewed. She sniffed the small plant and sneezed. "They smell good!" She giggled and sneezed again. She got up and and picked a few, whe would save them for the elders when she went to go give them prey and hear a story! As she was picking them she noticed other patches and some other cats that were around them! "I wonder what they're doing! Meh, maybe instead of a feather I can use one of these. I still don't know what they are tho... Meh! I don't care that much!" She giggled as the clover floated up and landed on her face. She jumped up and shook of scrapes of clover, grass, and some dirt. "I like this plant!" she squeaked happily. She started jumping up and down in them happily. Then she yawned. "I'm going to take a nap..." she said to herself sleepily. She saw a fresh patch of Clovers and curled up in them and fell asleep.

Blackkit peeked her head out of the nursery. She was going to find a bunch of four-leaf clovers. She padded out into the camp and searched. "Where could they be...." she mewed quietly. Maybe they would be in the warrior's den. She ran over to it and looked around. She checked under some pebbles and moss but there was nothing there. They she-kit trotted into the apprentice den next and checked in some crevices and under the moss. Not there either! Blackkit went medicine storage and looked on the shelves but there were none there. "Where can they be?" she exclaimed getting very impatient. She burst back into the main camp and thought about where she hadnt checked yet. Maybe it's in the... nursery? she thought. She began to go there and looked under a rock. There it was. A four-leaf clover! She picked it up in her mouth carefully very proud of what she had found.

<img src="http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=3055&amp;pictureid=20281" alt="Blackkit Finding Clover made for &#39;A Hunt for Clovers!&#39;"/>

Blackkit wondered if she could find even more clovers. New-leaf was just beginning, so that would mean the snow would start melting. She decided to go out of camp and search for some. It was a bit breezy but she didn't mind. The kit began with looking under a pine tree but only found some grass. Then she looked behind a rock shaped like a mouse but there wasn't a thing. Blackkit wandered off further into the territory and found a big tree. "They must be here!" she said with her mouth open wide. She looked under it and saw a patch of clovers. She scanned through it to see if any of them had four leaves. She found one and plucked it from the ground. The kit started back to camp, but honestly, didn't know what direction it was. She looked around a bit worried. Then she thought about how warriors find things and it is usually with scent or sound. She sniffed the air with her tiny nose and only caught the faint scent of prey. Well, that didn't work. Blackkit sat down and thought of another way. Then an idea popped into her mind. What if she looked at her surroundings and found her way like that. It must work! she thought. Standing back up she looked at where she was and what she saw. A big tree, and a large rock that looked like a mouse, and a snowy pine tree. She found her way home excitedly and showed off her new four-leaf clover.

http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=3055&pictureid=20294

Blackkit was at a small stream looked down into the water. She set her paw in the cold water. She couldn't wait until she would be able to fish. Though Riverclan was usually the cats to fish. She stood up and thought about an adventure. That would be fun. She stood up and looked around for pretty flowers and rocks. The snow was still on the ground but not much. She found a pretty flower beginning to sprout and crouched down at it. "Beautiful..." she said. A few moments later she got back up and began searching for more. She found a patch of clovers and then she remembered her plan to find four-leafed ones. She looked through them but they all were normal. But they were still pretty anyways.

Camp, since she's too loopy to go into the territory alone

1585

{Quailpaw}

Quailpaw slunk through ShadowClan territory, head low and shoulders slumped. Early new-leaf brought gray clouds that always seemed to prophesy, but never bring, rain. He ducked underneath a low-hanging branch and slipped between a soggy log and twisted juniper, grunting with the effort as he wedged himself between the plants. ShadowClan was not the home he had once known. He was loyal. Fiercely so. But was his Clan the same one he had pledged his devotion to, long ago?

His paw caught on a root and Quailpaw went sprawling, tail over ears. He landed with an oof and a growl as he face-planted in a clump of...

Clover?

Quailpaw sat up, shaking his fur off, and observed the sprout with a new light in his eye. Even though the forest was shadowy and damp, this new growth still persevered and threw the faces of its tiny leaves toward the sun. He peered more closely, then slouched back, slightly disappointed. They all had three leaves. But somehow...

Quailpaw smiled. New-leaf was here.

{Sagebrook}

Sagebrook sat by the edge of the river by the Lonely Pine, large ears drooping and tail still on the ground. She missed Sparkfrost. She missed Twilightstar. Heck, she even missed Stripeseed! She missed the way the Clan used to be. Everything was changing, and she couldn't seem to change with it. She hadn't felt this alone since... since her mother left.

A bird twittered across the border, and she smiled softly, letting out a slow breath. It was okay. Everything would be okay.

She got up, paws quiet on the budding grass, and padded along the riverbank. The stream bubbled softly in her ears and the breeze was fresh, but no matter how many times she told herself it was fine her insides were still twisted with doubt. Maybe nothing would ever be fine again.

She opened her mouth to taste the air, hoping a hunt would distract her from her troubles. Instead, the sweet scent of clover drifted up to her nose and she twitched one ear, surprised. It was early for the plant, but at least it gave her something to look for. She scanned the ground in front of her, eyes keen for a patch of green, and finally spotted it- rooted in the sand, a cluster of multi-petaled leaves beaming on slender stems. She leaned down, nostalgia warming her chest. She remembered playing Clover-Scatter when she was a kit. It seemed so long ago now. She sucked in the earthy, fresh scent and laughed, and in a rush of playfulness rolled over and covered her fur in the leaves. A second later she got up, scolding herself. Now they would be crushed!

But when she peered at the pile of verdent herb, a single clover stuck out to her and she dragged it aside with one claw. It was a four-leafed clover- rare and lucky, according to some cats. She didn't really care. But what the clover meant to her was something far more valuable.

Everything really would be okay. Even if it wasn't right now.

In Camp! (Submission 2!)
Snailkit sighed. Today was the first day of spring which mea-
A loud sniffle interrupted her thought. "Great", she murmured. The first day of spring which meant all the other stupid kits would be sneezing all over her. Maybe she'd get lucky and Coldamber would let her help out. "Not likely", she muttered, but it was still worth a shot. She trudged up to where the Medicine Cats Dan was. Most of the kits avoided the den like it was greencough, they thought the medicine cat was rude and the herbs smelled yucky. Personally Snailkit liked the sharp smell of the herbs. Coldamber wasn't in his den so Snailkit decided to hang around in there to get away from the sniffling kits. She looked around when a flash of green caught her eye. In the corner of the den that Coldamber put sick patients was a crack, and poking out of it was a patch of "Clovers?", she said out loud. She sniffed it tentatively and removed it with her mouth. She didn't know if it would be of any use, and she hadn't heard of it being used as a herb but she knew that the elders had a story about how they brought good luck. She carried it in her mouth and set it in the sun to admire. That was until one of the kits whose name she didn't even remember came and sat on it. Snailkit muttered some words she knew her mother would confine her in the nursery for before shooing away the kit and picking back up her half squashed clover. "Maybe you don't have as much luck as I thought", she said and sat it back down. Even thought the clover wasn't exceptionally special it was still the first sign of new-leaf.

By Rivers and Streams - Submission Three!!

Violetkit had been practicing her swimming in the small stream that the Riverclan kits learned to swim in. She wasn't born into the clan so her fur wasn't as made for this but with a diet of fish she was developing a glossy sheen that helped. She tried to get on the rocks to get back onto the sand but slept and fell. "Careful now!", explaimed Mistpaw who was helping her. "If you fall in again we might have to call you Wetkit". She chuckled before grabbing the kit and lifting her out by her scruff. They padded side by side around the camp until the came to the entrance. Mistpaw paused with a mishevious look in her eyes. She rememberd when the apprentices had helped her sneak out as a kit to the river, to practice swimming. Besides she couldn't teach Violetkit hoe to fish, there were no minnows in the stream!! "Cmon Violetkit wanna go an a adventure?" Violetkit hesitantly stood still. "Can Silentkit come?", she asked. Mistpaw paused to look at the deaf kitten who was on the other side of camp. "Maybe next time",she said carefully, not wanting to set off one of Violet's mood swings. She was very protective of her friend Silentkit. Violetkit nodded and padded out after Mistpaw. They made their way down to the stepping stones to where Mistpaw taught Violetkit how to fish. "I caught a minnow!!", she said excitedly!! She picked it up and gave it to Mistpaw who said encorgingly "It's as big as you!! Want me to carry it?" Violetkit nodded very proud of herself and handed it to her. But as she sat the fish down she saw a four-leaf clover." I'll bring this to Silent kit", she thought happily as she and Mistpaw headed back to camp.

What with the coyote attack, murder of Buckstar, and execution of Frostpaw Thunderclan had been having a rough time. They’d lost clanmate’s, loved ones, and their camp was pretty beaten up. Things were definitely not going well for Thunderclan. Not at all.

Forestpaw padded out of the apprentices den and into the clearing. New leaf approached and with it the russet she cat harbored hope for a better year. The coyote attack had delivered a harsh blow to Thunderclan, both physically and spiritually. It seemed as if there was a dark shroud around almost all the cats, a shroud on sadness...

The spotted Molly was shaken out of her train of thought as her paw collided with a large rock. “Youch!” Forestpaw frowned down at the rock before kicking it away towards the edges of the clearing. Good, now no one else would trip on it. As she was about to walk away, perhaps to go hunting or just to walk around and think, she noticed a green patch of fuzz nestled against the warrior’s den. The russet she-cat tilted her head and walked towards them, curious as to what this plant was.

The clovers swayed in the cold, yet refreshing, breeze. As Forestpaw reached them she remembered something. “Aren’t these things good luck or something?” She murmured to herself. After a moment an idea popped into the russet apprentice’s head and she smiled. Clovers. Good luck. The shroud surrounding thudnerclan’s warriors, apprentices, kits, elders, med cat, deputy, and leader. It was perfect! Her idea that is. Forestpaw gently scooped up a pawful of the green plants with a smile on her face and she set to work.

By the time Forestpaw was done the sun had set, the apprentice den entrance(and part of the nursery) had been decorated in clover, and Forestpaw wore a satisfied grin on her face. For this first time in the last few days Forestpaw truly felt happy. Happy that she’d done something to try and cheer everyone up, hopefully it worked...and if not, well Forestpaw would just have to try again then.

!River Submission!

Kestrelsplash woke up, his eyes blinking awake as he found himself, not in Riverclan, but next to a river. The sound of its water hitting rocks and moving across. It soothed him as he pricked his ears. Then he scrambled up: he was going to be in so much trouble if the Clan found out he slept outside of camp! What if they thought he was taken prisoner by another Clan or went missing!

He shook himself and began trotting back to camp until he came across some flower-looking plants that grew collectively against a large rock. They looked weird, definitely not flowers when he gave them a narrowing look. He was still worried about his Clan, but something about these plants drew him in... oh! Clovers! He remembered being explained as a kit that they were meant to be lucky. He'd definitely need some luck if the Clan got worried one of their warriors was gone when all he was doing was sleeping out of camp. They'd claw his ears off for that! He sniffed the air and sighed in small relief; no more of those hunting patrols! He could relax and not be worried anymore; Newleaf was coming and all the prey would be scurrying about now. He plucked the clovers with his teeth, keeping a clump in his jaws carefully when he was done. He glanced at the path that led towards the territory and sighed. Here goes nothing.

He made it to the camp quickly, dropping the clovers and laid down to count them. 1,2,3... He counted them slowly, plucking the grass from them until he counted 17. He smiled. A lot more luck than he thought he'd get! Now... what would he do with them?

Sagewing jolted awake. Her white-tipped paws trembled, though she didn't remember her dream.
"Hmm," Sagewing mused. Tugging at her was the desire to find clovers. She decided to head down to the waterfall.

When she got to the waterfall, she pawed through the bouncy green moss. No clovers, no clovers, no clovers...wait! Was that one? No. Sagewing sighed. It was just a woven piece of grass.

Wait! A clover peeked out of the moss. She grabbed at it. Wow! It was cold and wet in her hand, but still! A clover!

Getting one clover motivated her to search more. As she tore the cushy moss, she found another...and another!

She realized that the clovers grew near the waterfall, so she kept looking. Soon, laying at her paws, was a pile of clovers!

When she was done, she had about 23. Wow! That waterfall was sure a hotspot for clovers...she started to walk somewhere else to search, confident that she had found the jackpot.

~ In Camp - Submission 3/3 ~

Sunripple padded out of the warrior's den. From beneath the melting snow covering the ground, there were beautiful patches of green. It was a sign that Newleaf was coming. He hated leaf-bare with all his might, so he was glad it was almost over. And that meant the soon would be green-leaf, it would be all warm and sunny. It would be the best time of the year.
As Sunripple enjoyed the sunshine pouring down onto his golden coat, he noticed a strange weed in particular. It had three leaves and looked almost like a sprout. It didn't seem full-grown, but it sure did look the part. He bent down to smell, and get a sense of what it was, and all he could smell was something bitter.
He drew back, trying to get the scent away from him. As he did, the snow behind him crunched. It sent a cold shiver down his spine, not one that he enjoyed in the slightest. Sunripple whipped around as the crunching stopped, and he felt like he hit something soft.
Sunripple saw it was one of those strange weeds, except, instead of three leaves, it had four. It gave off a strange glow, and it seemed to have been hidden under the snow. He bent over and smelled it, completely forgetting the bitterness of the others. Unlike the three-leafed ones, its' scent was sweet and warm. He liked this one, it reminded him of green-leaf.
Sunripple picked it up and decided to keep it with him until leaf-bare passed, as a sign that new-leaf would be coming soon.

(In camp)
Waking up bright and early wasnt Venompaw's ideal way to start the day she heard around that clovers have been popping up all over the place. She decided last night that she might as well look for some as it gives the molly a good reason to get back up on her feet and get moving. Her wounds fully scarred and healed so she doesnt have to worry about the pain. Stretching her legs out she let out a big yawn before running to behind the Apprentice's den where she last saw a big rock. She would hope if she start there there would be atleast a few.
She flipped over the rock with a bit of enthusiasm only to find nothing with her luck. Racing across the camp she went to go look for more rocks but most of them were already overturned from of kits and cats in her clan looking for clovers aswell. "Maybe i was a little late..." she mumbled right before her darting eyes spotted a rock covered in moss that hadn't yet been searched. Or so she guessed.
Darting over she flipped over the rock with her nose as her paws were semi-tired from darting about the place....with a huff "Maybe I should be more active...probably should get a new mentor too" Flipping the heavy rock over finally she found a small little clover. And before picking it up she sat there and admired her first little find of the day.

(Small Puddle on her way to Sc Borders)
(Entry 2/3)
Scurrying along whilst on her way to the borders the calico molly stepped in a small puddle before coming to a halt realizing if she searched around the moist and damp are near the puddle she might be able to find another clover like before. Crouching down low enough so she might be able to spot the small clovers amongst the damp moss and grass. "Hmmmmm" she hummed to herself as she walked all about the puddle before noticing a batch of 3 clovers grouped together. Picking up one she shook off the morning dew. "Ill leave a clover for someone else to find..it was already hard enough for me so, for people that havent already might not find a wink of any since there almost gone"
Picking up her two clovers she bounced her way over to just outside the border of her clan. She could see that the snow was still glistening but knew it was yet to melt. Hiding her clovers behind a rock she mumbled to herself "Third times the charm," before leaping head first into the cold snow. Regretting it instantly she jumped up.....

Hunting For Clovers: What to do... and what not to do.

Hi there! I’m Frogkit! I guess you know that... unless you didn’t read the title.
Anyway, I’m supposed to be looking for four-leaf clovers, see? Well, big problem, I’m a kit, I can’t leave camp without the major chance I’ll have my apprenticeship delayed.
And we can have that, I assure you.
I’m from RiverClan, a very active clan, lots to do. Though, there’s a severe lack of clovers.
Good news is, camp is damp, making it ideal for plant life to flourish here.
(I quite enjoy learning new, bigger than average words, you’ll see that a lot.)
I just have to find the perfect clover... how hard can that be?
...
Frogkit stumbled out of the nursery, pelt damp from the rain that had snuck upon the clan in the night. Grumbling in discomfort, he padded over to the fresh-kill pile and rooted through it.
Yuck, all the prey was either too old, or muddy.
Sighing in frustration at being confined to the camp and not getting to see the world yet, the small kit decided to go on a walk around the camp... once he finished this one it would be his... 107th trek around the camp.
Pathetic.
As he was walking in the large, wobbly oval that was the path around the camp, Frogkit slipped in some mud.
Laying face-down in mud was not an ideal position let me tell you.
Mud squelching under his fluffy kit paws, Frogkit pulled himself to his feet, his pelt was a mess.
Oh no, Dunesplash was going to kill him.
As he proceeded to attempt an emergency grooming session, a splash of green caught his eye, and he turned.
A four-leaf clover!
StarClan, he could have used that a minute ago!
Plucking the green plant from it’s stalk was easy, Frogkit purred, his mother liked clovers, she said they brought luck upon the clan, she would like this, and it might tone-down her temper once she noticed his soiled white pelt.
Maybe.
Perhaps.
It wouldn’t.

(Territory)
Nightpaw ducked under a low-hanging pine branch, still laden with snow. She glanced around, looking for some moss dry enough to spread throughout the elders den. She stumbled through the melting snow, crossly shaking her paws to get rid of the slush. Nighpaw knew that this was one of the most common apprentices' tasks and she shouldn't complain, but she couldn't help thinking that any moss that she found would be dry enough to use. Brightening, she spotted moss on a small oak tree just in front of her.

Bounding up to it, she began stripping moss off the bark. Then, she paused. She didn't have a dry place to put the moss while she was collecting. Nightpaw shrugged and began to clear away snow from under the tree. It would have to do. Maybe she could spread it over a bush to dry when she got back to camp.

When she was finished, Nightpaw rolled the heap into a manageable bundle and was about to set off toward camp when she noticed a patch of clover growing out from the base of the tree. She was surprised, not because there was clover growing with snow still on the ground, but there appeared to be four leaves on one of them. Bending over, Nightpaw saw that she was correct. Delicately reaching a claw out to snip the base of the clover, she gently set it on top of the moss. She hadn't ever seen a four-leaf clover before and for some reason, she decided to keep it, at least for the time being. Feeling a bit more enthusiastic, Nightpaw headed back to camp.

First submission - Bumblepaw
In Camp: Bumblepaw padded out of her den full of energy for the day. she went to search the prey pile for something when she tripped and fell. she let out an "oof" as the wind got knocked out of her. she was going to stand up when she notice something. it was a tiny clover, and she could see four leaves.
A four leaf clover! she thought. she stood, the gently lifted the rock it had been under to see what else was there.

she hurriedly let the rock gently fall when she saw a big amount of bugs under it.

she picked the clover, and looked around for a place to put it. she saw that the place behind the den was tight, and would stop the clover from blowing away. she padded over and placed the clover down, then decided to look for more.

She decided to check in the apprentice's den. she padded back into it and looked around for a clover somewhere. in the corner, she saw a patch of shamrocks and went to investigate. delighted, she found another four-leaf clover there too. she picked it p and put it behind the den.

"lucky stash of clovers," she murmured happily. she then padded out of camp to look for more clovers.

Submission 1 ‘Around the Territory’ Shrikepaw. TW: Dreams of cannibalism/blood-

Shrikepaw was not where he was supposed to be but where he generally was. Out of camp and in the depths of the forrest at early dawn heading back to get some well deserved rest. At this point the runt wasn’t even sure if any of the warriors cared anymore because while he was a notably sneaky cat who adored the shadows and silence he did this so often someone at least had to have noticed by now. Still he had no mentor and little friends so perhaps those that did notice didn’t care and as long as Shrikepaw was left alone it suited him just fine.

Still as the sky started to lighten by small increments and Shrikepaw ghosted his way back his face twisted as his stomach rumbled. Ah, the issues of spending ones nights like the tom did, while he could manage his sleep just fine more food was necessary to keep it up. It would be nice to take something from the fresh kill pile and just be done with it but the thought of stale meat and the picked over remains that probably lingered at this hour was…. Unappealing. He was out perhaps a hunt was in order.
A hunt for a vole or a mouse yes it would suit but nothing nothing could compare to the mouth watering idea of meat of a cat. The very smell of their blood, the firm but plush squeeze of the meat when you bit into them in battle, the sounds of the panicked individual realising they were prey, and the hint of the true taste it might hold oh how Shrikepaw longed and ached. If he could get away with it (something he would one day accomplish) he would have stalked some sad sorry victim down and sunk fangs into them with no mercy. Just like he was doing to the poor mouse, nibbling on a clover leaf under the shelter of a pine where the snow didn’t fall, totally unaware of the salivating cat watching it. It stayed unaware until its death shriek as the vicious tom didn’t even wait to snap its neck to start devouring it alive, savouring the squirms and the blood. Still as he settled into the clovers crunching on the bones it wasn’t satisfying. He wasn’t full. He was never full. Shrikepaw wasn’t worried though, one day he’d get lucky one day there’d be a cat under his claws like this mouse was in the clover patch and then? Then he’d feast.

Softkit - Camp

Softkit woke up from her nap, it was sooo boring today. The young kit had no idea what to do in this Newleaf weather! Her brothers were busy playing, her friends were busy playing, everyone was busy! "Hm, what can I do, let's see...the elders brought up a few things in stories, like, four leaf clovers..." speaking of which...hey, that gave her an idea!

She ran around camp trying to search for one, seconds of searching turned into hours, she searched through dens, she had checked rocks, but she could find none! Ughhhh, she was sure all of the other kits were so lucky right now and had all of the clovers. It was getting dark, so she headed back to the nursery, but then she saw something. A four leaf clover, right by the entrance, seeming to not be picked by anyone, and she was extactic! "Oh yes, a clover!" She was so excited, she picked it up messily and ran right into the den, bragging to everyone about her find.

Scorchstrike will do 2 and Silentkit 1.

Territory

"Hmm hmm, la la la..." There was still snow on the ground, but it was disappearing slowly, and the signs of spring were coming. Leaves were coming back, grass was starting to show, and herbs were becoming more visible. The signs of life were improving Scorchstrike's mood, and it showed in the small song she was humming.

Scorchstrike didn't have the best of luck, but it wasn't like she believed in luck in the conventional way. Multiple dog attacks proved that, but she was still trying to figure out if there was a scientific reason. Maybe the beastly creatures were more attracted to her? She didn't know.

Hopping over tree roots and on top of rocks, Scorchstrike noticed a small shrew chewing on a piece of clover. Not one to pass up prey, she crept up on the oblivious rodent and caught it silently. It probably wouldn't even fill a kit's belly, so she buried it for later. But the plant it was chewing on caught her eye. It only had 3 whole leaves, the fourth one was half chewed. A 3-and-a-half-leaf clover.

This tiny plant shouldn't have had any significance to her. Superstitions weren't real, and random plants with sudden mutations didn't bring good luck. That was stupid. But Scorchstrike tucked the tiny plant behind her ear anyway.

To Scorchstrike, luck wasn't a thing that could be improved by a charm or a ritual or wishing really hard. It was random chance, and her dice landed on the snake eyes. That was it, there wasn't anything she could do about it.

The clover couldn't influence luck, but Scorch noticed a few similarities between herself and the plant. It was half chewed up, and the fourth leaf was mostly missing, which would decrease the value to many cats who were also looking for these clovers.
Scorchstrike's face was half chewed up. Her fourth leaf was also missing, but did the accident decrease her value? No. So this clover's value wasn't lowered either.

Happy with her new decoration, Scorchstrike continued her hunting trip, humming her tuneless song with her treasure behind her ear.

Beside a Stream

The stream was a popular place to hunt because prey would come there to drink water. So that's where Scorch went. As she crouched down behind some tree roots to wait for some unlucky piece of prey, another patch of clover caught her eye. Under a bush, protected from the melting snow. 4 leaf clovers were very rare, but maybe...

Yes! There it was! Another perfect 4 leaf clover! Scorchstrike tucked the new treasure behind her ear next to her first plant, shaking her head at the chances.

As she returned to her waiting spot, a small group of water voles cautiously waddled out of the stream. Three of them. Scorchstrike knew getting only one was plausible and expected, as when she was preoccupied with catching one, the other two would take the chance to get away. So she picked out the fattest and pounced.

The kill was quick and clean, without even a warning squeak. But something was up...

The other two voles were slowly wandering around. Their companion just died, how could they be so complacent in the face of death, she wondered. Then it hit her. The voles had just woken up from hibernation, so they weren't totally awake or aware yet. Not missing her chance, Scorchstrike pounced on the other 2, killing them the same as the other.

4 pieces of prey in 2 catches? Maybe the clovers were lucky? Scorchstrike didn't entertain the thought as she picked up her bountiful catch to take back to camp, humming her tuneless song through the soft vole fur.

In Camp

Silentkit had a habit of chewing on absolutely everything. Bones, sticks, elder's tails, but a recent hobby was eating plants, especially grass and clover. As she wandered aimlessly around the camp looking for something to bite, she wedged herself in a bush and decided to stay there because there was no snow.

What was this? A small patch of clover. Silentkit had been born in leaf-fall, so she hadn't seen much of spring yet. These 3 leaf plants looked tasty! She took a bite.
They tasted the same as grass, which was to be expected. But what was this? A plant with 4 leaves? I almost ate that! Sure, Silentkit didn't know 4 leaf clovers were thought to be lucky, but she carefully nipped the plant's stem and tucked it behind her ear anyway.
Silentkit quietly yawned and fell asleep under the bush.

Beginners Luck Perhaps?

All around camp cats moved about. Moving here and there with the excitement of the up coming warm weather. Already the snow had almost melted. Letting the sprouts of green wiggle their way closer to the warm rays of sun. Rainkit sat watching everything move around. She had never known it to be so warm! Being born in leaf-bare it was strange to have the air around her feel warm. It was welcomed for sure!
However, the black kitten still had something she needed to do. After listening to some cats around she heard of this super awesome clover! It had four leaves and gave whoever found it really good luck! Of course, this meant that Rainkit had to find it! Who would not want that?!

With a goal in mind Rainkit bounced to her paws and set off on her mission to find a four leaved clover. As she was trying to be on good behavior to get her apprentice ceremony, she would be staying in camp. So, finding it would be hard, but she could look all around before any other cat decided they should snatch the good luck charm from her.
First place she looked was around the nursery, but of course it was not there. The area around there was frequently trampled so nothing rare would be found. Disappointing but the kitten was sure she’d find it somewhere. It was her mission after all. Find the rare clover and have the best luck! What else would she need to do? After she had the best luck she could find more for others and then everyone would be lucky! A perfect plan.

Rainkit would continue looking, picking up rocks and peering behind parts of dens. She even looked under some lazy cats! Yet, she was having no luck. Strange. They had to be around somewhere. Why else would she be told about them if she couldn’t find them? Was it able to move or maybe it was like a really hard game of hide in seek! That was it! Rainkit just had to search harder!
With newfound hope the black kitten sped off to keep searching. She would go inside the dens, Coldamber’s, Twilightstar’s, the Warriors’, Elders’ all the dens! One way or another she would find these super awesome four leaved clovers. She would be the luckiest kit and be named Rainclover for it! Wait… that didn’t even sound like a fun way to become a warrior… Oh well!

Trotting around the camp, Rainkit decided to try one more spot, well she hoped one more. Behind the Breezerock! It was so big, and it seemed to be cold around it all the time. The perfect place to hide something that was rare too! Who wouldn’t hide something rare around the place that Twilightstar held meetings? It was like the perfect place.
Rainkti would sniff around, yellow eyes scanning around as she did so. One way or another she was going to find a four leaved clover. Maybe it would work if she ripped the leaf to make it two? That might work.
There it was!!
A clump of clovers stayed hidden in a shallow dip by the Breezerock. One, two, three, four! Four leaves! It was a four leafed clover! “Yes! Yes!” Rainkit cheered jumping into the air a few times. She found it! She found the good luck charm! Now she was the luckiest kit in WindClan. No longer did she have to worry about anything because it would all be okay. Shellkit would come back, and they would both become the best warriors ever. Littlepaw would not have to be anxious, nor would Bunnykit. Every cat would be just fine, and life would be awesome!
Bending down to pluck the clover from the patch Rainkit noticed that there was more than one! Not just two, but six four leaved clovers! All of them bunched together hiding in a little corner! “Ooo! So many of them!” Rainkit exclaimed purring at the thought. There were enough she could give them to her friends, and they could have good luck too! Every cat was going to have good luck!

One by one Rainkit picked the little plants, making a pile of four leaved clovers. Kneading the ground as she did so. One for her, one for Littlepaw, one for Bunnykit, one for Echowind, one for Shellkit, and one for ShadowClan spy! Enough for every cat!
With a happy purr Rainkit gathered her clovers and trotted off. Off to spread the good luck! This would change everything! Luck, luck for every cat! Even the spy.

Falsifying a Myth

Warm sunlight filtered through the thick canopy of trees. Buds of new leaves sprouting from the once bare branches. The sounds of songbirds rang though the air as they tried to impress one another with their songs. Squirrels scurried around, busy as bees as they searched for new food and dug up buried nuts.
I was the awakening of a new season. Green sprouting up from the once dead earth, bringing with it the life of animals and warmth of the sun. Soon prey would be plentiful and there would be no worries on if the Clan would be full. Leaf-bare was over, leaving room for new growth.

Kestrelflame was out looking for nothing more than a fable. A muse that elders had passed down for generations. The myth, the story, of a four leafed clover. A plant that brought luck to those who found it. It was obvious that such a thing did not exist. Luck was nothing but chance, a random phenomenal that either went in your favor or against it. A simple four leaved clover would not change such a thing.
Still, the calico found herself out in search of this rare and magical plant. More out of curiosity than belief. If such a plant existed, she wanted to study its contents for herself. See how much of a stretch this fable really was.

Out in the territory patches of clover grew everywhere. Popping up everywhere the sun shaded, leaving many, many patches of clovers. Yet, these were nothing out of the ordinary. No, they were simple, green, three leaved clovers that came up every year. Nothing about them was different about these clovers. The results further proving the point that it was a myth. One Kestrelflame could solve.
On her quest, the warrior decided you venture out into the depths of the territory. The less visited areas would have a higher chance of growing such a ‘rare and lucky’ plant. However, Kestrelflame would not doubt that such a thing started so cats could watch others waste their time on silly games. It would be amusing if you already had such a clear idea of the lore around a four leaved clover. Knowing it was fake and nothing more than a kit story. Yet, Kestrelflame carried on. Determined to prove once and for all that it was nothing more than a fable.

An hour at the least has passed, and still Kestrelflame was empty pawed. Nothing but normal cover as far as the territory stretched. This here was proving her point. Four leaved clovers were myths and fables, giving cats idle hope in finding luck. When in reality it was nothing more than their own actions that lead them to better or worse outcomes. In a way it was like the stories of StarClan. While StarClan did in fact exist, along with the Dark Forest, they had no special powers. No control over what did and did not happen on earth. They were just a bunch of dead cats who lived in the stars. Nothing special.
The only difference with a four leaved clover was that Kestrelflame had yet to prove if they existed or not. Something she was slightly annoyed by yet intrigued by. If they did not exist, where did the fable come from? Was it nothing but a torn leaf that some cat happened to see before they had something good in their life happen? Or was it simply a made-up story that some cat decided to spread for the fun of it? Truthfully, one would never know. The myth went so far back that it would be imposable to trace at this point.

Moving on, Kestrelflame continued her searched. She had almost reached the conclusion that this was in fact a simple fable. Told to gullible cats for one’s own entertainment. That being said, it did not justify the time she had spent searching. It only furthered her original statement on how much of a waste searching would be. Partly making her regret the decision to even start looking in the first place.
Kestrelflame let out a huff, stopping in a shaded part in the woods. A cool breeze rustling through, trying to chase away the sun’s warmth. She had wasted her day, searching to prove a point. Four leafed clovers were not real. They were nothing but a story.
With that being said, the calico turned around and headed towards camp. She had a long way back. Just one more place to check. To ease the tiniest bit of doubt that clung to her pelt.
Nosing her way under a holly Kestrelfalme quickly scanned the area. Nothing. “Point proven. Four leaf clovers do not ex….” Her voice died out, yellow eyes landing on the very thing she had denied the existence of. There in a sheltered clump of clover stood a small four leaved clover. Its leaves outstretched to gather the weak sunlike that filtered through the thick leafy tree. “Color me impressed…” Kestrelflame would mumble, moving forward to inspect the leafy plant. “It is real after all.” She would add before plucking it from the ground.
If this was a magic lucky clover, she needed to see that for herself. While she doubted a plant could help with anything, she took it anyway. If anything, it gave her bragging rights and a means to get stupid cats to believe in the myth themselves. It was not more than a fable anyhow.
Right?

Beetle (Dark Forest [Au])

Beetle was walking around the Df, looking for a safe place to rest. As soon as he laid his head on his paws he fell asleep, surprisingly peaceful. When he woke he heard his mom's voice whispering in his ear “You deserve to know the future.” Suddenly time seemed to race by, and he watched quickly as moonpaws life flashed by. Then it stopped. She was all grown up, a proud warrior of shadowclan, and a new queen. Moondove (or whatever her warrior name will be) licked the top of one of her kits' heads, ignoring the medicine cat saying that he was dead. The other two suckled at her stomach weakly, barely breathing. Then time passed and moonpaw sat in the shadowclan clearing as Dawnstar announced her other kit dead. Heavy rain pounded around the clearing as Moondoves wailes could be heard for miles. Another time skip and Frogfang stood over Moondove, her blood on his claws. He told her “Your so stupid. You really thought I loved you? You're weak, you deserve to die!” And Withthat Frogfangs claws went whirling toward her and then…..Time skip. At this point Beetle was crying, something he hasn't done for so long. The last time skip stopped on a bloody scene. Moondove standing on top of a cliff edge, battle scared cats beneath her. Her fur was covered in blood, yet she could not have looked happier. Her remaining kit,now a warrior chanted along with the crowd “MOONSTAR, MOONSTAR, MOONSTAR!” The vision faded away and Beetle opened his eyes. Where his tears had fallen a small clover grew. It wasn't oozing mush like all the other plants in the Dark forest, but it was green, reminding Beetle that Moonpaw was strong, much stronger than any leader or clan cat that had ever existed

Second submission - Blueface + others
Around the Territory: Blueface Wildheart and Barkfur padded out of camp. the had wanted to go hunting, and that was what they were doing. Blueface tasted the air, and scented squirrel.
"squirrel" he mewed to the others, and they nodded. he crouched and followed the scent until he saw it, then after a few more step, pounced. unfortunately, his missed the prey and it ran away. Blueface sat back on his haunches, frustrated.
"It's fine," mewed Barkfur, "we can always catch more prey."
"hey guys!" wildheart exclaimed, "I found a four-leaf clover!" Barkfur and blueface exchanged looks.
"Really?" Blueface asked, coming to look.
"Yeah!" Wildheart mewed. Barkfur shook his head. Wildheart could act so childish at times.
"well, do you guys wanna try and find more?" Blueface casually asked. Wildheart nodded and Barkfur shot him a look. he shrugged.
"all right, "Barkfur mewed. they set out, searching every patch of clovers they saw. Blueface insisted that they look in firefly grove, and surprisingly they found even more 4 leaf clovers there. finally, they sat in a clearing and counted their clovers. almost 14 clovers.
"you know this was a good Idea," Barkfur mewed.
"why's that?" blueface asked.
"It was a good idea, because now I know the territory better."

- IN THE FORESTTTTT-

Dustsong padded into the forest her paws gliding over the damp grass. Her paws where a little wet but that didnt mater. She was looking for something. Something to get her luck.
Luck is what she needed right now. She wouldn’t forget sparrowskip, her mother, her uncle, her other uncle, and her father that sh never knew. Maybe this little piece of luck would help her.

She had heard from Howe mother as a kit that four leafed clovers where rare and lucky. Flamesong had told her that if she found one luck would happen to her and everyone sane cared about. If that was the case maybe just maybe they’d bring back her snow her love.

As she walked in the forest looking in patches of grass. Around tress. In trees even. She sighed she was never going to find one. Starclan just didnt give her luck. Looking up at the sky she said
Starclan if you can here me right now please, please, please give me some luck. You took sparrowskip from me the least you can do is help me find this clover.

Her head bowed down as she laid down in a patch of clovers.
She laid down in a pass of clovers.......
She had just laid down in a patch of clovers. She opens her eyes slightly to see a clover just touched by the sun taller then the rest. She picked it up and aid it on er paw. It was a clover! Counting the leaves on it
One, two, three, four.
Four!

Thank starclan! Luck was in her hands. The next time a cat told her starc;an wasn’t real she would tell them this story and make them prove her wrong.she picked it up in her teeth and started to pad back to camp
Good luck was in her hands.

[ searching through the territory ]

Ashenpaw honestly had no idea why he was doing this. For fun? For darkpaw? Bah! He didnt really care. All that mattered that he was for some reason looking for a four-leaf clover. So, making his way out of the camp and into the territory, his eyes peeled and on the lookout for any...peculiar plants, mainly clovers (duh).

When he first started looking, it was just turning to dawn, and many hours later - almost half the day, to be precise - he still hadnt found anything. But stars be damned, he was going to find one of those damn plants! Just as he was beginning to second guess whether they really existed or not, there it was. Bathed in a beam on sunlight, it looked like it was calling out to him, sent directly from starclan themselves. Yes! He found one! Trying to hide his excitement, he suavely padded over and plucked it from the ground, quickly turning and making his way back to camp.

[ In the camp ]

Tinykit was BORED. WHat was there to do as a kit? Nothing! Thats whats! So, deciding to take matters into his own tiny paws, he was going to find the biggest bug he ever did see! And nothing, NOTHING was going to stop him, especially not that stinky Lionstorm! Pushing his way out of the nursery, he puffed out his chest and stomped over to the medicine cats den, taking pleasure in the loud thumping noises his paws made as they hit against the sodden ground, still damp from the quickly melting snow.

Shoving his way into the herb stores, he quickly set to looking, sure that there would be some bugs in the stinky area. And...he found something stupid. No bugs to be seen, all that he could find was a weird four-leaved plant. Bo-ring! Wasnt there anything interesting to find?

March 31st, 2021, 10:59 PM
Puddlesplash was on the lookout for some good luck. Specifically in the form of four-leaf clovers. But it wasn’t for himself. He wanted to bring a few clovers to the nursery for the kits to have. The only problem that arose was actually finding enough... or any at all. So far he’d had no luck, but perhaps he wasn’t looking hard enough. Sure, there were potentially higher chances of finding one somewhere out on the moor, but he wanted to ensure he’d searched every inch of camp before he ventured out for more.

Around any of the dens? Nope. Growing in little crevices in the ground? Nope. Randomly just laying around anywhere? Nope. There were plenty of other plants all around the place, but no clovers. Perhaps there really just weren’t any in camp at all. Which honestly made sense. He didn’t really know what he had been expecting in the first place. Feeling mildly defeated, the russet warrior prepared to leave for the mood. On his way to the camp entrance, however, he accidentally bumped against a rock. It must’ve been rather unstable already, as it tipped right over without much force, revealing the ground below it. And right before his eyes was a whole bundle of clovers. Score! Not all of them had four leaves, but that was fine, he’d sort them all out. Even if it took him forever, he thought of how much he would’ve loved to be gifted a lovely good luck charm as a kit, which sparked his motivation to get the tedious task done.

After what seemed like hours later he was finally done. Not as many four-leaf clovers as he’d initially assumed, and most likely not enough for every single kit in the nursery to get one. But it was okay, a few of them could share the luck amongst themselves. Perhaps they could weave them into the den walls so everyone would be able to share a nice touch of good luck all together. Picking up his green bundle, he headed off rather excitedly towards the nursery to distribute the clovers.

Grumbling, grumbling, grumbling. That was all Finchwhisker found himself doing as he wandered angrily through the territory. As newleaf began and most cats seemed to liven up a bit, he was feeling increasingly down, frustrated, and fed up with everything. Prey was starting to run abundantly throughout the pine forests, yet cats still seemed unable to catch enough to meet his expectations. Why should he be left surrounded by such incompetent cats? Such a typically favorable season was going to be ruined for him by their downfalls. Everything he’d physically tried hadn’t worked so far. It was almost as if the incompetence and chaos were forces that weren’t to be reckoned with.

Perhaps all he needed was a touch of luck to bring order to everything, and then—ouch! Lost in thought, he hadn’t been paying attention to where he was putting his paws, and as a result, there was now a small thorn lightly embedded in his paw. Great. Just great. But wait... As he looked down to try and get the thorn out of his paw, he spotted a certain green plant slightly concealed among the grass beside him. Once he’d gotten the thorn out successfully, he used a paw to brush a clump of the grass out of the way, revealing a fully intact four-leaf clover. Interesting. What a coincidence it was to stumble upon a classic good luck charm whilst thinking about luck. But was this even a good luck charm? He wasn’t entirely sure if he even believed in the idea of a mere plant brining the force of good luck, but just in case, the dark tabby reached down and plucked up the clover. The fact that he’d literally stepped on a thorn standing right next to a clover wasn’t too convincing against his skepticism. That definitely wasn’t good luck. But he decided he’d be taking it back to camp for safekeeping anyway. With luck, that thing would actually give him some luck at picking responsible cats the next time he sent out patrols.

Baypaw was strolling along by the river, humming a soft, yet peppy tune to themself. How they’d managed to get out of camp and off to the riverbank without any supervision was something they didn’t bother questioning. There wasn’t much of a specific reason for them to be here on their own. They were simply trying to enjoy a beautiful springtime day. The birds were chirping in the trees, bees and butterflies fluttered around the sky, the golden rays of the sun danced along the reflective surface of the water. A lovely and uplifting feeling soared through the air, woAH!!! One second they’d been enjoying their walk, and now they were tumbling down, and... SPLASH! They landed straight in the river!!

Good thing it was a shallow section, and they were able to stand right up and pull themself onto dry land. Now their fur was all soaking wet, but they were quite honestly much more interested in what had managed to trip them. Coming back to the approximate spot they’d tripped over, they saw it was a long stem belonging to a clover plant. It was a normal-looking clover, yes, but could it possibly have four leaves? Was this their lucky day? Waddling up to get a closer look, Baypaw was delighted to find that it was, in fact, a four-leaf clover they’d managed to get their paws on. They hadn’t even been intentionally searching for one of these, but it was just an added bonus to pleasant stroll. Careful not to shred any of the leaves, the light tabby proudly plucked the plant out of the ground and held it up in their jaws. Hooray!! They’d have to show their find to their brother. Perhaps he’d found one somewhere as well! With the lucky charm stowed safely in their jaws, they skipped happily all the way back to camp.

———(camp - dayheart)

Dayheart had been inspired. With all of the stuff around him starting to not be freezing cold, he'd gotten the idea to look for a four leaf clover. Three leaves just wasn't enough, even though all clovers were pretty cool. The first place he'd decided to search was camp, since he was already here. It wouldn't take that long, right?

Wrong. Dayheart had been tossing around everything on the ground in hopes that there would be a four leaf clover behind some obscure rock, but he'd been finding a grand total of no clovers. No worries though! He still had some time in the day to find one, although it was now some time in the afternoon and he was getting a little tired of the lack of success. Maybe he just had to believe more in himself. That was supposed to work. MMmm. Ok. He could do this he could do this he could do this. WOO. Go Dayheart! Hm, yes, that was the spirit. He'd definitely find one now.

He confidently turned over another rock with renewed energy. Okay... nothing there. He moved over to another area. The warrior swiped a few tufts of grass out of his way before he let out a loud squEAL. THERE WAS SOMETHING. WITH four leaves!!!! Dayheart positioned his paws so that he was sure to not step and smush it, because that'd be an unfortunate disaster and he'd probably cry.

He was sure it was a clover though, now that he had a clearer view of the beautiful four-leaf plant. It was slightly withered and didn't look like it was in the best shape, but it was great. Dayheart smiled as he bent down to collect it, holding it in his mouth with care. Yayyy!

Submission #2
———(territory - spiderpaw)

Spiderpaw had been having a jolly good time doing nothing but sitting around the territory, enjoying the sound of silence. It wasn't 100% quiet, since the apprentice could hear a very distant bird doing some midday singing, but save for the few chirps of nature every now and then it was quiet and peaceful. Spiderpaw liked it. Most of the time it felt weird to be left alone with her thoughts, but she didn't have very many thoughts right now, and she felt some sort of inner calmness. She was sure that wouldn't last long, though, so she wanted to do something that would also make her happy and preserve that tranquil feeling.

Spiderpaw thought for a moment on something she could do, but nothing was coming to mind. When she spotted a shamrock in the corner of her vision, it gave her an idea - she could look for a four leaf clover! She was pretty sure those existed, but she'd never seen one with her very own eyes---- at least, not yet! Right now was a better time than ever. She had all the time in the world.

Besides, four leaf clovers were kind of rare, right? If they weren't, she would've seen one before already. Since they weren't super common, maybe she could brag about finding one! She was sure Buttface didn't have a four leaf clover, so it was perfect for bragging rights.

The territory seemed like an ideal place to look for a four leaf clover, since it was pretty big with all types of green stuff, so Spiderpaw began looking around near where she was. If there was a shamrock, there should be a clover with four leaves around here somewhere. There had to be. She wouldn't give up till she found one - although the more time she spent, the less she predicted she was going to find it fun. With a bounce in her step and a grin on her face, she began scouring the territory, pushing around blades of grass and checking the underneaths of small bushes. The dark-furred female wasn't finding anything yet, but her spirits were still high.

Fast forward a few hours later, and her spirits weren't so high anymore. By now, she was just annoyed. Where were all of the four-leaf clovers? So far she'd found just one more shamrock, which had been sort of beaten up and ripped apart. There'd been no clovers with more leaves than that, though, and Spiderpaw was getting ready to slash something. Spiderpaw breathed slowly, trying to calm down. The day wasn't over yet. She could still find one, and it'd all be worth it when she had a four leaf clover and could shove it in everyone elses faces. When it ended up rotting and dying, though, Spiderpaw would probably be pissed. That was a problem for later. For now, the apprentice was busy tearing up the territory looking for this stupid clover.

At last, Spiderpaw set her sights on a clover a little way away. It was sheltered by a bush that wasn't looking too good but was still sporting an array of leaves. It looked like the clover was sporting an array of leaves too - four! Spiderpaw leaned over to take a closer look and relish in her victory before she realized she'd seen wrong. It was three leaves. Not two. She felt a wave of oncoming fury and unsheathed her claws, ripping the clover angrily. STUPID! Where were all of the four leaf clovers? Did they even exist, or were they just part of tales made up for kittens and she'd fallen for the story? Either way, Spiderpaw was frustrated beyond words. She'd spent more than half the day looking for this clover. That peaceful feeling she'd had earlier had about disappeared, and Spiderpaw was ready to head back to camp without a clover. She was okay with believing those lucky clovers didn't exist. If they did, and she saw one later, Spiderpaw was more than willing to kill it. Ick. She hated them now for eluding her for so long.

With a loud, elongated sigh, Spiderpaw began heading back to camp, dejected. Her tail lay low between her legs. What a walk of shame.

(streams/etc - robinpaw)

Robinpaw was on the search for a worm. He'd been feeling a little lonely lately, and worms were the bestest of friends. He loved all of his worm buddies. Sadly, he hadn't seen many of them around lately, probably because it wasn't all too warm out. Still, he was hoping he'd be able to find one to hang out with. Cat friends just weren't the same -- although he'd love more of those, too.

His favorite place to go worm searching was near his favorite pond. It was the only pond he'd ever found worms near, although it was the only pond he really looked for worms at. It took him a few minutes to reach, but he got to the pond and eagerly began looking for a squishy worm buddy.

He wasn't finding any, but that was ok! He knew his worm friends would show up sooner or later - they always did, and he knew he could trust them! They never bailed on him when they were around. Robinpaw dug a few holes around in the ground, carefully looking for anything that moved. Alas, the dirt was still, save for a few crumbs of dirt falling from the top of the ground. He turned around, ready to head back home and go looking again tomorrow, when he spotted something cool. It looked like a peace of grass with four leaves at the very end. Cute! He'd never seen anything like it. He'd heard about it before though, somewhere. Hmmm... what'd they been called? Chills? Clears? Cl... Clovers!! Yes! That was it! They were clovers! Four leaf clovers!

And this was a pretty one! It was all perfect with uneven leaves and a wobbly stem! Robinpaw picked it up happily, standing in place for a second to admire it. He liked it. It could be his new best friend! He hadn't been able to find any worm buddies around lately, but a clover would work just fine! He was going to name it.... Worm. Wonderful!

He was happy with his new friend :)

"]Pinepaw trudged around grumpily. It was March, wow. Other cats were talking about some four-leaf-somethings, and she honestly wanted to find one. They were supposedly "rare," and having a pretty competitive personality, it made sense. The only problem was she was pretty sleepy and couldn't go into the territory without her mentor, which seemed to be ignoring her? Whatever. She wearily walked through the clearing. On one of her steps, she felt something mushy beneath her paw. Aw man, did she step on a flower or something somehow? Pinepaw stepped back to examine what that just was. To her surprise, it was a clover! Rare? Pfft, suuuure...

"]Snailspark decided she'd just go out and hang out by a pond. Ponds looked nice in March; in spring. It was a beautiful day too. She looked around and there was something with a bit of water on it, making it glitter in the sunlight. Curiosity overcame her and she decided to check it out. She was surprised at what she had just found. A clover! Four leaves at that. They were said to be rare, so she was quite excited. Instead of bringing it back to camp though, she decided to leave it for other cars to find. Still, finding it made her day even better.
