Ivypool slid out of the shadows, her gaze flicking nervously back and forth. If anyone saw her with the RiverClan deputy...Oh StarClan. That would ruin everything. They would be over. They. Their lives held dark times, but they were together. Hawkfrost would protect her. More like she would protect him.

Would he hurry up?

Ivypool sat impatiently. She didn't know what was in store for this night, but she was ready. Last time they visited the Dark Forest and...she had met Mapleshade. Despite her appearance, she was actually okay. Well, only to the strong ones. Ha. Hawkfrost had seen his father; Tigerstar. Ivypool tried not to remember that. There was talk of making Tigerstar come back to life, and however much she loved Hawkfrost, that would be awful.

Hawkfrost smiled with delight as he walked out from the bushes. She was here! And she didn't care about last night...ugh. Kinda embarassing. He had been seconds away from saying; 'Da-a-a-d-d-d!' Oof. Well, at least Ivypool had gotten along well with Mapleshade. Kinda funny she bonded with her. One of the most evil cats in the Dark Forest, and she was worried about Tigerstar? Hawkfrost shifted his gaze to his mate, beaming.

"Hey, darling. Sorry I'm...late."

He flicked his tail, and ran over to Ivypool. Hawkfrost lowered his head, knowing the punishment would come. Honestly, he was probably one of the best warrior's in the Clans, but she could cut him down with one thrash of her tail. One sharp comment. Dead. Hawkfrost sat down nervously, still beaming. "I...know I was late...but..." What to say? He was "perfect"?

"I'm sorry."

Ivypool lashed her tail with annoyance. Late again? Seriously? She knew he was busy, what with being deputy and all...she was quite proud of that, even though he was in a different Clan. She resisted grinning back at him, and instead glared at her mate. Oh, she was going to chew him up, and eat his face for breakfast and save the rest for dinner. That's how mad she was.

"Oh, yes. You are very sorry. Indeed."

Ivypool hissed at him. "YOU UTTER, COMPLETE, IDIOT! I'VE WASTED HALF MY LIFE MOONING OVER YOU?!" She blushed a bit at that, but kept going. "YOU'RE LATE! EVERY TIME! I GET THAT YOU'RE BUSY, BUT I'M IN YOUR LIFE! I LOVE YOU!" Oh, she was so. mad. "GROW UP, HAWKKIT!" Ivypool shivered at those words. She knew he was very close to being leader, as Leopardstar was an old hag and...was gonna die soon. Ivypool couldn't say why...but...Hawkfrost's best dream ever would come true soon.

Hawkfrost bowed his head lower. He could tell she was about to smile, probably at him(He was betting on his chances). He finally raised it, and gave her an irresistible, cocky grin. Hopefully she was charmed. But those chances were low. Ivypool was mad. Hawkfrost stared at her harder, hoping, believing she would be happy.

And than she exploded.

To him, she was basically breaking/divorcing him. Did Ivypool even LOVE him? Didn't seem like it. Wow. She was mad. Like really mad. His jaw tightened when he thought of Fernsong, a cat his mate said she liked. No one took his Ivypool! No way! And he practically burst out in flames of anger when she called him 'Hawkkit'. Than he remembered who she was and stopped. "Sorry," Hawkfrost mumbled. He raised his head towards her, his eyes alight with hope.

"Come with me."

It actually doesn't matter about the number of cons, but the weight of said cons. A singular con of Hawkie, a murder baby, heavily outweighs all five of Fern, a sweet boi. Not to mention three Hawkie cons. Cobra

HawkFrost would not actually love her and just be using her and probably kill her when she doesn’t have a use.

Personally I wish Ivypool would have been a lesbian, but we can't always get what we want. so I'll go with Fernsong. He offsets her fierce personality well, and he would probably help calm her down when she got angry. In return, Ivypool would help Fernsong stick up for himself more. Fernsong is willing to sacrafice things for Ivypool who, after a life of being the one to make sacrafices, deserves it. Ivy and Hawk on the other hand would just bring out the flaws in each other, and Hawkfrost wouldn't really care about her, which is the last thing she needs after fighting so hard to get to where she is. Overall, IvyFern is a much healthier relationship.

Ivypool waited for Hawkfrost by one of the rocks in the dark forest. They couldn't be seen together, never. But Hawkfrost's piercing blue eyes, his cocky grin... well it gave her goosebumps. She was going to ask him to be his mate tonight.

"You're late."

She mewed this as Hawkforst's battle-scarred body came into sight. Ivypool wanted to know which cats gave him each and every one, and then get revenge.

"Or are you early?"

Ahh, yes, another one of his stupid jokes. Ivypool motioned for the tom to sit next to her, her mind beginning to race with emotion. They'd be the perfect mates, and be able to rule the forest together.

"Hawkfrost, we've been meeting for a while, and I'd like to ask you..."

Ivypool trailed off. Was this the right decision? Her stomach twisting, she continued.

"If you would be my mate."

Hawkfrost's face stayed in an emotionless state. After a moment, he gave a grin and stepped closer to the gray and white she-cat. Ivypool could feel his hot, blood-scented breath on her now, and she couldn't care less.

"You know the answer, dear."

Ivypool opened her mouth to cry with joy, but as she was beginning to form words...

"AUGHHH!"

Hawkfrost's claws slipped across her throat, and his icy blue eyes were much more alive now. As Ivypool fell to the ground, he began to laugh.

"No."

It definitely seems unhealthy to romanticize an awful, toxic relationship. Hawkfrost was raised poorly, and has no redeeming qualities unless you want to stretch and say his ambition is good. He holds no remorse for his actions and likely has never made a genuine, good connection to anybody, even his own sister. He does what he wants to get what he wants, and honestly that's the biggest red flag in a healthy relationship. It really shouldn't be thought of as alluring or "bad boy"-esque because even the "bad boy" type will, at its core, be healthy for those into that style of relationship.
Mocking Fernsong, a good-hearted relation for Ivypool, who has good intentions and clearly shows an interest in her for who she is and strives to make all of that even better, is just... In poor taste.

I agree completely! A much more mature and functional relationship would be Ivy and Fern. There is really no way to come to a good conclusion for Ivy/Hawk unless you are a 12 year old writer on Wattpad. Ivy and Fern compliment each other greatly, while Hawk would just drag her down and keep her from reaching her full potential. I'd say more but you basically wrote out everything I was thinking lol implimm

BlossomIvy is a NOTP. Like why?? Blossom was a jerk to Ivy and nasty in general. Just another "these characters clearly don't get along so they must be in love" pairing.
