View Full Version : How Do You Feel About the New Series, The Broken Code?

In my opinion, it's becoming interesting, if not for the storyline being a bit scattered. The idea of possession and atoning is super interesting, and it also ends up showing how the Warrior Code and StarClan can be flawed. Heck, just the absence of ancestors and forced devotion toward the Warrior Code could definitely cause a lot of mayhem - though isn't that what they're supposed to prevent?
Finally, there's the confusion on who the Imposter is. The earliest theories state that it's Ashfur, which I now agree with due to recent proof: the Imposter has dark blue eyes (like Ashfur) and also, on the cover of the yet-to-come fifth book (called The Place of No Stars), we see a very Ashfur-looking cat depicted on the cover. My original theory was that the Imposter was Scourge, but hey, that's been thrown out the window by now.
So, what do you guys think about this idea of letting go and possession?

I agree with you! I remember how much the books made me dislike Bramblestar after, what, Power of Three? Then this was like a whole "redemption" arc for him, if you know what I mean. Now I like Bramblestar a lot more. Yes, the entire thing with Squirrelflight is very interesting. However, I've heard that Ashfur might be having a redemption arc right now. It's just a theory that I've heard, but some people think that, later on, Squirrelflight and Ashfur will search for the remnants of The Place of No Stars. What do you think?
P.S.: The fifth book in the series is literally called The Place of No Stars and it features Ashfur on the cover.

I like the idea of a cat being possessed (and Bramblestar dying but please don't tell anyone). My favorite cat so far is definitely Rootpaw. I can't give my full opinions yet because I haven't read Veil of Shadows yet.

Okay! That's nice. I haven't finished Veil of Shadows yet, although I know half of the plot by now... ;-; from spoilers and such because I spend WAY too much time on the Wiki. But yeah, don't worry. I won't spoil anything for you. :>

Oh yeah, me too! When I was on Wiki I was desperately searching for a spoiler on Veil of Shadows!

Similar situation except I didn't know whether I wanted to avoid the spoilers or not, so I was just like, "Oh, well."

I am 90% sure it's Ashfur, because...
1. The Imposter loves Squirrelflight and Hates Bramblestar.
Ashfur- Check
2. The Imposter has dark-blue eyes.
Ashfur- Check
3. The Imposter has been to Starclan once.
Ashfur- Check
4. The Imposter knows how to inflict very good damage.
Ashfur- ? (that's why only 90%)
5. The Imposter isn't very good at leading.

I would say that Ashfur does know how to inflict good damage. When he died, he was a senior warrior. Also, he almost beat Lionpaw in a fight, giving him his torn ear (if I remember correctly) despite the Power of Three prophecy. Especially if he spent time training in StarClan, then he would know how to fight.
