What's Your Saddest Warrior Cats Death?

I'm just curious about which character made you really sad when they died.

For me, it's hard for me to feel emotions about book characters, but...

Leafpool. I was so shocked in Lost Stars when I saw her missing from the allegiances and I almost cried while reading Squirrelflight's Hope. Never before have I cried during a book.

Something else I'd like to mention/point out: Feathertail died from trauma by hitting the cave floor. So, her death had to do with rocks.

When Nightcloud was considered dead in Crowfeather's Trial (she didn't but she was thought to be) Crowfeather found a pool of blood in the tunnels. The rocky part of the tunnels. So, Nightcloud was thought to have died in a rocky place.

Finally, Leafpool, crushed by a rockfall/rockslide, whatever you wanna call it. So, she was killed by rocks.

All of them were Crowfeather's mates (or almost mates) at some point.

Okay, enough with conspiracy theories. Tell me your saddest Warrior Cats death.

I can't say warriors has much of a way of crushing me with what they do anymore lol, but I do think Hollyleaf's death had a deeper meaning than most of them do anymore. She bailed and spent time on her own, then regretted her actions and came back really helping the Clans a LOT just to die in the battle she had a huge hand in turning tides on. Even written for a children's book, it was a very very satisfying and fulfilling conclusion to her role, which I do admire as more than just a goody-two-shoes.

Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, and Cinderpelt hit me hard. Since i really REALLY like them. Also Bluestar's death made me cry...

When I learned Leafpool was going to die in Squirrelflights super addition I was sad and kinda angry cause i love her so much. Hollyleaf's (supposed death) when she ran into the underground tunnels and a landslide trapped her in had shocked me. I actually stopped reading the books in the middle of the second OotS book.


Oh, and Tallstar's send off hit me in the feels because he was my fave leader besides Firestar.

I was so sad when Needletail died! She was amazing!

But the two that hit me the hardest were: LEAFPOOOOL I cried when she died, and RAVENPAW. I read his novella death scene over and over and cried each time. Poor Barley!

Yellowfang and Cinderpelt both really hit me hard. And Needletail. Although I'm not a huge fan of the latest arcs, Needletail is probably my favorite female warrior character out of the entire series. I was devastated when she died.

To me, it'll always be Grey Wing's death and Tallstar's death. Though both died of semi natural reasons, i.e Grey Wing with his asthma. I loved Grey Wing, he was such an emotional and beautiful and relatable character. His death, surrounded by family, his new kits that would only know him as a memory... He never got to be a biological father and it saddens me. Tallstar was just a perfect character and his leadership over Windclan and the hard decisions he'd had to make, makes me feel like he deserved a better death than being surrounded by so few.

For some reason, Snowkit's death made me laugh because it was anti-climatic for me. I was like 'oh yall ignoring/doubting snowkit now but just watch this deaf kit will be the greatest warrior - just watch' then I read the birds circling around or something and in my head I was like 'oh, so yall just gonna kill him like that'. *Flips page* HAWK SWOOPS BABY AS IT CRY IN THE SKY.

Snowkit's wasn't particularly sad itself but the way Speckletail took it was heartbreaking; her whole relationship with him was just heartbreaking, ah

Honey-something... anyway, life was just going good, she had a mate, soon kits, her life was good, but then, the Erin Hunters had to kill her with a dum SNAKE! I threw the book at the wall when I finished reading that part of it, I was SO. VERY. ANGRY!

It was Honeyfern. And her death was so there was a reason to bring deathberries into camp. Yes, it was heartbreaking, but that’s the truth.

Also I think Bluestar’s death was tragic. I mean, she had her kits watching, and the whole conversation with her asking for forgiveness from them and they accepting the fact is... well... sad! And she only realised the Clan weren’t traitors and StarClan was still there for her near the end. If Bluestar wasn’t there... Firestar/heart might not have been around. It was her noble act that caused him to live there and then.

two deaths completely messed me up, and they were both in super editions.

willowbreeze's death in crookedstar's promise made me sob when i read it a few years back. i don't actually remember much about it because i haven't read that book in a long time, but i just remember crying

the other death that wrecked me was micah's in moth flight's vision. the circumstance, how moth flight was affected by it, how she even stayed with his body, just made me very sad.

hawkwing's mate, pebble-whatever (i forgot her name) was kind of sad too.

I cried when Spottedleaf died the second time. I may have not liked her character that much but seeing her die in such a heroic way, that unlocked something in me.

the other death that made me cry was yellowfang. The way she died was poetic. It was meant to be a tear jerker. And the way she called fireheart her son, it got me. I like being slapped in the face with familial bonds.
