Why Do People Hate Mapleshade?

I know that I'm probably alone on this, but I'm a big time Mapleshade fan. Why should you hate her? She lost her kits, which damaged her mind, and she went insane. Why hate her for that?

might has something to do with her manipulating cats (crookedstar, iirc tigerstar to some degree) for 'revenge' when the cats that harmed her were already long gone.

but also, it'd be one thing for her to have been a victim-- a cat that was unfairly banished and did nothing to deserve the pain she received, but she's a murderer and a liar that broke the warrior code. she killed a medicine cat and a warrior who were only doing what they believed was the best for their Clan, especially after they were given the assumption appledusk killed two of their beloved Clan-mates. she deceived her Clan-mates by telling them birchface was the father, giving them the false hope a part of him remained in their Clan.

oakstar shouldn't have banished the kits for their mother's transgressions, and he recognized his mistake and made sure to not make the same one with future cases (squirrelwhisker.) ravenwing and frecklewish lost their lives after one tried to do what he believed was right, and the other was betrayed and hurt (as the sister of birchface) by mapleshade.

i don't hate her, but she's definitely not a cat i'd want to defend or victimize.
