Mal had been somewhat tracking the new pack for awhile now. while his lack of scent, it wasnt that hard to hide, just avoid patrols here and there. He hadnt been tracking them long, only observing persay. it was tough out here. it was hot and cold, there was no water and barely any food. but these dogs- when working together, they were useful. it was better than working on his own. plus..he somewhat missed social interaction. he didnt know how useful he would be, or what he would do, but hed do it.

so this time he didnt wander off of their territory, he stayed put. not running when he heard rustling or noises. he would stand his ground against anything or anyone that approached him.

Bullet had finally gotten away from the annoyance of Alpha life. The constant demand dogs had for leadership was insane to him. However, he would provide seeing as he wouldn't want to be bossed around like that. So far, things were running as smooth as it could be. Scouts were out and about looking for a new home and hunters were busy... hunting. The Healers were stock piling herbs for the trek they would soon make. The pack was busy at the moment. There wasn't normally a day to relax in the surroundings they were surviving in.

While deep in thought, a scent hit him. One he didn't recognize which caused his fur to rise on his shoulders. The black canine then moved quicker, hopping debris and going around crumbling building until he spotted the canine in the distance. It was a loner by the scent of it. Bullet let stopped in his tacks and simply watched, noting how close this canine seemed to be in relevance to his packs camp. He let out a low warning bark, stancing himself for a fight if need be.

Mal knew he was close by from the new scent in the air before he even barked. there werent any other dogs around from what he knew, so smelling him was easy. he opened his mouth the taste the air, pointed ears twitching at the bark. brown hues looked around through the debris, it being a bit hard to spot bullet in it with his black coat at first. Mal didnt cower at his presence though, didnt even seem remotely bothered by his warning bark. to prevent any violent acts he stayed still, looking right at the alpha. he had a smile on his face, not one of happiness but a more,, not smug, but more unamused but amused at the same time. his stance wasnt aggressive or tense compared to bullets, if anything it was laid back in his presence. he didnt even bark back, instead responded with a simple,"Hello to you too."

Bullet stayed where he was, eyeing the new canine down. He was searching over him for any signs of aggression or meaning of doing wrong. So far, nothing. This canine didn't seem like the type to want to fight, but Bullet knew better than to judge the canine by a stance. Instead, Bullet relaxed a little, standing a little more tall and leveling his head to stare evenly at the other canine. "Haven't seen you around here before," he commented, not wanting to mention the pack despite the fact this canine might already know all about them. Bullet just ran the chance he didn't and went from there.

"Im not from around here, bullet." mal commented, the smirk never leaving his face. "Im from the north, the more colder climates obviously." it was..kind of obvious from his coat, his silver-grey coat providing countless layers of protection from the cold he wasnt facing anymore. "From everything going on i was forced to leave, been wandering." his paws ached slightly from all the walking, but he didnt mind. it was better than dealing with toxic ice water and the constant worry of falling through ice into toxic waters. so he left. not to mention his home had become a wasteland, nothing but broken, blackish grey snow laid their now. "Im sure you cant relate, yeah?" he tilted his head innocently.

Bullet gave the other canine a small shrug. "I can't say I do," he replied very monotone. This wasn't the point of Bullet calling this canine over. "What brings you here then? Besides obviously spying on my pack," he asked with a small huff. It bothered him that Mal knew his name, but at the same time, he really didn't care. Why should he? It's just a name after all.
