Darkcloud let out a silent sigh of annoyance an ambush would be better but ok "We should kill it quickly remember go for the throat and bit hard" she told her quietly and nodded to a weak spot in the wall of thistles before disappearing into the shadows as she entered the clearing waiting for the right moment to strike.

Bright amber hues shifted to Hawkbite as he materialized beside her, a sense of understanding in his gaze. Ah. He'd come to the same conclusion that she had from Dawnstar's talk. She let out a quiet grunt of agreement as he finished, and then inclined her head as well for good measure.

Dawnstar, either, didn't need any further prompting, the Shadow Queen took off with her own set of cats... which were considerably low in number, but oh well. Dawnstar was nothing if not efficient, the leader could take care of herself. Despite this, Larkfire couldn't help the pinpricks of worry dancing at the edges of her mind, refusing to be tamped down. Later, she would sort out the unneeded sentiments.

For now, she had some foxes... and fox-hearts to teach a lesson to.

Darkfall acknowledged his leader’s words with a silent nod, he too wished for everyone to remain safe during this hunt, but he knew he’d be unable to look after everyone. All he could do was pray to StarClan to watch over his clanmates as the undertook this endeavor. Also, was it just him or was everyone giving Larkfire weird looks? Feeling a prickle of unease, he narrowed his eyes slightly but cleared the thought from his mind. Questions about that could come later, right now he had to focus.

The large tom watched Dawnstar leave with a rather small patrol and frowned. Cougarivy had been late for whatever reason, but other than the enforcer commander, it was just three of them. He didn’t like how things were looking for the leader, but he was sure she’d find some way to be alright. She was ShadowClan’s leader after all, and their clan wasn’t full of any weaklings.

Once more his gaze swept over the host of cats that he was with. Larkfire, Stormpaw, Mousepaw, Blackhawk, Whiteheart, Hawkbite, Sharppaw, and Darkcloud. 8 of them and then him. He wasn’t quite sure how’d they fare against the foxes, but he was confident that no one was dumb enough to unnecessarily put themselves or each other in a precarious position. Or so he hoped. He knew for sure that he’d keep an eye out on Stormpaw, that being the apprentice that he was put in charge of, and then he’d tried to keep an eye on Larkfire and her charge if he had the chance. Wait. What would he do if there was a fox bearing down on both of them? What if he had to make a decision that could potentially decide who lives and who dies?

Well… he had an answer to that, but he wasn’t going to acknowledge it. ”C’mon Darkfall, stop it” he silently chided himself, shaking the thought out of his head. He really had to focus. He turned forwards Stormpaw with a small smile, and took up a position next to the other cats.

They were going to win back their territory from these stars-damned foxes. They were members of ShadowClan and they would not be weak.

Cats distracting follow Hawk, Cats fighting/killing foxes follow Lark!

"Alright, if you're distracting and leading them away, follow me. We're going to the entrance and luring them out, now" the Enforcer barked his order over his shoulder shortly after Larkfire agreed to his idea.

With that, the dark tabby tom led his small patrol down to the entrance of the clearing. He took one last glance up towards Larkfire's patrol, giving a quick nod before letting out a caterwaul that would summon foxes from their den. "Take 'em to ThunderClan!" Hawkbite called, giving the first fox or two a swipe at their faces to really get their attention. He would dodge and start darting towards the ThunderClan border.

Sharppaw followed suit, waiting for the perfect moment to rap her jaws around the fox's throat.

Darkcloud immediately exploded from the shadows and lunged at the fox cub surprising it as she dug her fangs in it's scruff pulling onto it's back as it struggled giving Sharppaw the opportunity to kill it with a quick bite to it's unprotected throat.

Whiteheart decided to distract the foxes. He could fight while leading them to Thunderclap! How gelreat was that?! Using his black pelt as cover, keeping his white underparts covered in mud, he streaked through the mass of foxes, tripping them as his lame leg swung with momentum, and scratching to draw their attention. So fun!!! he thought excitedly, green eyes flashing @SuspiciousMindz

Shadefrost having been one of the ones to be assigned as a herder, followed Hawkbite's lead, silently moving through the Shadows until the signal to attack was given. With no more than a flick of his dark tail, the tom was pouncing for an unsuspecting, orange savage using his claws and teeth to tear into the foxes pelt.

Sharppaw launched forward at her chance, clamping her jaws down tight on the fox cub, and steeled her paws to the ground, attempting to rip out its throat quick.
