Blade purred, looking down at their kits, love alight in his amber gaze as he stared at the very wriggly one. It was very wiggly, and already, it couldn't seem to hold still. Blade laughed. “How about.... Spark!” he exclaimed, thinking that the name seemed to fit the bouncy tom very well indeed. He looked at Fria. “Now you name one.” he meowed encouragingly, not adding that after they had named the kits, she could sleep. He would sit beside her and watch the kits while she was asleep. He could easily tell that she needed sleep anyways.

Fria though for a moment, trying to think of names. "Well..." She looked over at their only daughter, who hadn't moved as much yet. "What about, for our daughter, Misti?" It matches her fur, and I think it'll match her personality, too. She glanced back up at Blade, hoping for approval. And Jake is a beautiful name, as well!

“Yes!” Blade purred his approval to his mate. He just could not wait until his kits were old enough to play. He hoped that once they were, he would have the chance to see them and play, but an aching sadness burned in his heart whenever he thought of them getting older. Once they were weaned, he would have to say goodbye to them forever.... He tried to push that thought to the back of his mind, yet it didn't go away completely, though he kept his thoughts on something else; the present. Not the future. He'd worry when it came to it, not before. He looked at the last kit, touching his nose to Fria's. “We both agreed to call one Jake. He's the last one. He can be Jake.” the large dark tabby purred.

Fria purred, her voice being slightly high-pitched. "He looks like a good Jake." She licked little Jake lovingly, moving his fur the wrong way for warmth. He's going to be a survivor, I just know it! Once she'd done that, she did the same for Misti, pushing the she-kit closer to her belly in hopes she'd begin to suckle. And you... you'll be super smart, and playful... She thought about how she'd be able to watch them play when they were older, and along with that came the thought of them being given away. It made her shudder inside, the fact that Twolegs were as cruel as to split families. Evil creatures, in that way... Pushing the thought away, Fria pulled Jake closer to her, and looked up at Blade. "I can't wait to play with them..." She held back a yawn, meeting his gaze happily.

The little tom squirmed around. He tried to fight through his siblings, to his mother's milk. The smooth, creamy scent bathed his tongue as he fought against his siblings. Once he finally squeezed in, he began to suckle.

There we go! Fria tried to help Jake to her belly, gently moving aside his siblings to give the young tom-kit some room. "I told you," She purred, eyes glazing over with emotion. This is the best day if my life! Her heart burst with feeling as she looked at her three bundles of joy, and she knew nothing would ever, ever hurt them. Not as long as Blade and I are here!

Blade bent down and nuzzled Fria gently, then nuzzled all his kits. No. Their kits. He sat down and blinked. He had never been so happy in his life, and he couldn't imagine that it was even possible to be happier than he was now. The gave each kit a gentle lick on the head, then lay down beside Fria so that he could see her and their family better. I'm so proud of them! They're going to be strong and brave cats. One day. His only wish was that he would be able to watch them grow up, but he knew that that probably wasn't gonna happen. Blade sighed, then looked back at his family and forgot about what he'd been thinking. Too wrapped up in the moment.

The presence of Blade's fur against her own was comforting, and Fria looked down to see all their kits suckling. They're so handsome, and beautiful... and they'll only become more as they grow! In the back of her mind was where her worried grew, but she tried to push them down. Worries of Blade not seeing their kits grow up... worries that her Twolegs would take them away... worries that they'd get hurt. Worries that cross every mother's mind when they look at their firstborn children. But they will be ok. Blade and I will protect them... with our lives, if we have to. She pressed her nose to his, leaning her head against his shoulder. "This moment can't get any better," She murmured, closing her eyes.

Blade nodded, in his own silent and joyful world. He gazed down with loving eyes at his three beautiful kits and his mate. He couldn't wish for anything better than this. He purred happily, resting his head across Fria's back so he could drink in all their scents. The large grown tabby tom closed his eyes, wondering if he should leave t let her sleep. He didn't want to, and when he looked out the window, he saw that it was snowing. He shuddered at the thought, though it was hardly noticeable. He started to groom Fria's fur in strong, rhythmic strokes of his tongue, trying to keep himself distracted from the near overwhelming excitement that was flooding his heart.

Fria relaxed as she felt Blade's tongue across her fur, and it only made her happiness increase. The most perfect moment ever is here, and nothing can change that. She closed her eyes, the presence of her mate and kits almost overwhelming her with excitement and joy. These were her kits - their kits - and she hardly knew how to handle all of the emotions flooding her heart. There was joy, peace, excitement, love.... too many more to count. It's so amazing...
