Random question, does anyone know tricks to keep yourself focused on education when you have 45 days (counting weekends) until summer break, because I CANNOT fail final....I’ve kept A’s and B’s all year, does anyone have tips. I can not hold my attention in class anymore (we use Ipads so the “leave your phone at home trick doesn’t work) and I can’t make myself study anymore or take notes and I slack off on my classwork not putting much effort into classwork. Every year I get bad grades in fourth quarter, and the internet has tips merly for like 6 year old’s and their parents...not for highschoolers. IDK if I should have made this into a thread or what...HALP!!! I can’t fail fourth quarter, I wanna go to college (realistically I know failing fourth quarter won’t prevent me from going to a community college, but wanting a full ride to a four year college is a fair goal) Like half the time I’m deciding, I won’t die not doing this homework assignment. I can’t keep taking the L.

My only tip that has made me succeed; Do you really want the future you want? How badly? Cause slacking off won't let you have it.
Motivate yourself. Think of where you could be at in 10 years or even 6 months from now and tell yourself you just need to do good now to get there. That's your big reward. Do the work right now and you'll have time to relax later.

Good advice...what's sad is I always spend one day after school lets out having fun then lock myself into my room studying what I'll be learning next year soo...summers are basically unnecessary for me.

It might be a little rude, but try to see how many times your teachers say um or uh. It helps you focus more on the words they are saying.

On a different note, I was writing "mauled by a badger" but it autocorrcted to mailed by a barber. LOL

Why, because no one could win "type the username with your eyes closed" game or mention me. And that random heap of letters would be determined by my head smashing the keyboard. I'll do it next time we get two user names in a month. My only other restraint is being able to log in...

So at my school I signed up for a thing called A Day Of Silence to raise awareness to the LGBTQIA ppl who's voices aren't heard its really hard not talking at school. Like asking to go to the bathroom is challenging I have to writing it on my phone and show it to my teachers. And when kids make me angry I can't give sarcastic remarks...atleast I can roll my eyes and use my middle finger.
