Silverpaw awoke early, gently standing as to not make any noise to wake the kitten and stretched silently. She gazed down, checking on her before tiptoeing outside into the morning air and retrieving a small piece of prey. She returned and sat down, tearing off a few chunks and wasting the pieces slowly. She looked back towards Winterkit, letting her smile from the previous night return, hoping the kit had a good nights rest

The kit woke up Yawning and stretching cutely then she heard a sound and jumped and ran over to silver paw and hid behind her shaking in fear burring herself in her older siblings fur to hide herself

Silverpaw flinched slightly but curled around her sister protectively. "It’s okay Winterkit. There’s nothing to be afraid of" she cooed, nudging Winterkit gently

The kit calmed down and sat up and looked around then the fear in her eyes was gone the kit then scooted closer to her sister a rubbed her head on her side affectionately

“I’ll always be here to protect you" Silverpaw whispered softly, her soft smile returning. Her eyes brightened with an new idea. "Would you like to play a game?" She asked

The kit looked at her for a second then said okay" then the kit stood up and looked at her sister with her two different colored eyes

Silverpaw looked around for a piece of moss, finding one quickly and rushing towards it . She came back, forming the piece into a ball. "I used to play this all the time with other kits" she giggled, eyes sparkling as she beamed at her sister, gently rolling it to Winterkit

Nightshadow shrugged, "I don't think anything in ShadowClan could be described as 'beautiful'. I think 'strong' is a better adjective. I don't find many people to be like me, so it's surprising when it does happen." She couldn't help but think the only reason she hadn't made fun of him at the start was because he was crying. That was her only weakness because it reminded her of herself when she was a kit, lonely and weak.

Winterkit went to roll it back to silverpaw and her paw got stuck in the moss She kept trying to get it off her paw but it would not budge
