Sweetpaw sat in the Clearing, the young apprentice's head cocked to the side. Her tail tip was twitching nervously, although she tried her best to hide it by putting on a slight smile, looking almost; but not quite; amused. As though she were thinking about some secret joke. To be honest, she was terrified...her whole insides felt as though they were tied in knots and her body was so tense she could barely muster a smile. The cream apprentice yawned, struggling to stretch out into a more comfortable position while she waited for her mentor. Ibisprowl. I-I hope he's nice and everything...that would be great, like Cedarpaw was nice to me...Sweetpaw thought with a sad smile at the thought of her friend. Her blue hues glazed over slightly and she felt her throat and chest constricting with unshed tears, and realized that she was on the verge of bursting into tears. No, no, no...that won't do at all. C'mon Sweetpaw, you're not a kit anymore, so don't act like one. Chin up, smile on...be brave...and all that stuff. Sweetpaw thought with a sigh, her tail tip twitching faster in anxiety. She was more worried than she had ever been in her life. This was something new; and new things scared her. She hated the thought that perhaps Ibisprowl wasn't the greatest cat, or maybe he wouldn't even like her at all. But I'm jumping to conclusions. He'll probably like me...right? He's my Mentor, surely he'll at least...sort of...like me, Sweetpaw thought with another nervous twitch of her tail. Still, she couldn't shake her nagging suspicions. What if her confidence was wrong? What if he was a bad cat, what if he had fought against StarClan, what if he asked her a bunch of questions and she messed everything up? Those questions were swirling around in Sweetpaw's head, her body still tense, as she awaited Ibisprowl's arrival.

Tuftbreeze! Snow!" She chirps, absolutely overjoyed. She was having so much fun! She always felt a little lonely, because she didn't know how to talk and didn't really have any brothers and sisters to play with. But she was glad she was learning and experiencing new things!
She looks up at Tuftbreeze with wide eyes, her black little paws kneading the dirt in excitement.

He nodded, "Yeah! It is nice to meet you!" He smiled awkwardly. I am making a fool of myself! I have not talked to cats in forever! he thought getting a little scarred. "So, what do you usually do?" He tried to start a conversation, he was still smiling and now looking at the she-cat. He glanced at the camp entrance, then looked back at Ivyfrost. Should I tell her why I cant train an apprentice! "Well, I have an older sister, but she is usually hanging around toms. Ya know, she got the charm and looks, and all I got is, well I don't know. Nothing special though," she said. "So I just usually stay to myself and uh play games," she said. "What about you?" She asked.

He nodded, "Well I used to have an apprentice to keep my busy but, I mostly hunt since no one really talks to me," he sighed, "My apprentice is a warrior now. She never talks to me though, anyway what kind of games do you play! It seems interesting."

"Well the one I was playing before I ran into was me just imagining I was chasing a mouse. It is nothing amazing. Just something to keep me busy and get exercise.

He laughed, "You play kit games to keep busy? That sounds kinda fun! Do you wanna play one with me?" He asked smiling, he never really had things to keep him busy except hunting, he thought this might be a change. He might have a friend! Someone talking to me is good! Now I might have a... "Sure! Which one?" She asked smiling at the tom. Finally someone who she could spend time with! Her sister didn't understand her at all.
