A wide smile came across his maw as Mountainmist praised him. It felt so good that his work first of all paid off and got recognized. Creekpaw watched as his mentor bowed the heather over top of their prey, then looking over at the stream as she mentioned it. "Hey!" He didn't exactly like being nudged but, his voice had a playful tone so it wouldn't come off as he was annoyed.
Taking a deep breath, Creekpaw crouched. He planned to bolt off down the slight hill and use the slope to his advantage. Spring loading his legs, he pelted off. Long strides helped him move faster as he neared the creek. Though, he would soon learn they wouldn't help when jumping it. Close to the creek after a long stride, Creekpaw attempted to leap upwards and forward. Though, because he had been running at such a long stride, he couldn't get enough air and ending up falling short into the shallow waters of the creek. He quickly leaped out, shaking the water off his fur. He shivered a bit, the creek was still pretty cold. Teeth chattering, he curled his wet tail over to his tail.

Evening. Good for running, not for swimming.

Mountainmist could not help but buckle from the laughter that bubbled as she watched Creekpaw fall into the stream, well for this context it would be a creek. Laughing and laughing brought tears to the black molly'e eyes and she just could not stop laughing. That poor apprentice. Finally getting to her paws again, she made her way over to where he was sitting, completely drenched and soaked into his bones. Nudging him she laughed softly again, "Learned how to jump the creek, Creekpaw?" It was so comical that she shook out her large fur and jumped into the stream herself. "It ain't bad, its just water. Nice cool, water." The water was one of the only way that the black molly could naturally cool off without waiting for sunset or the dark and she didn't mind the water. It just helped her. "See, it aint bad," she said as she buckled her legs and was now lying in the little creek. "But I would recommend that you maybe don't take a bath next time?" Nudging the apprentice from her lying down position she gestured to the creek again. "Try it again, we gotta warm you up and running around and jumping will help."

Quilkit trotted with his short legs, shorter than every kit's legs, and walked around the clearing. "Hello?" He mewed anxiously, feeling lonely that no one was playing with him. "Can anybody play with me?"

Rootkit came out of the nursery. "Hey Quilkit!" He mew'd "Catch the moss-ball" He tossed so Quil could catch.

Quilkit turned and saw the moss ball, and caught it. Throwing it back to Rootkit, he mewed, "Thank you for playing with me!"
