Oh goody, story time! Plumkit nabbed the closest clump of moss he could find, which was rather old and messy, and scampered over to Goatscrunch.
"Here you go Mr. Grumpypaw! One fresh moss coming right up!" Plumkit plopped the moss beneath the elder's feet and beamed up at him with a cheeky little grin. Then he turned, noticing that Lightningkit hadn't brought any moss like instructed.
"Ooooh, Lightningkit didn't bring any moss for you~" Plumkit pointed a frail white paw at the offending kit. Are you gunna cuff her Mr. Grumpypaw? Can I do it for you?!"
Much to his dismay, he wasn't a stranger to a certain Old Timer's antics. A rather aggressive one with more spunk than someone older than the rocks at the bottom of the ocean should have. But here he was, attempting to keep a clanmate safe and alive.
He'd heard the call for story time, happy someone was giving the kit's history lessons because it sure wasn't going to be him. Although it was followed closely by a rather slow argument that continued on longer than it really should have. Ah. Another victim to the elder. At this rate they'd loose more due to him than from the other Clans.
With a drawn out sigh the Calico made his way towards where story time was being held. Tail twitching behind him. Walking in just in time to see an attempted cuff being tossed the poor, poor soul's direction.
"Alright. You." he began, looking pointedly at the Warrior. "Out. A babysitter isn't needed leave 'em be." he instructed. He didn't know what the argument was about, he didn't care. Compared to the few other Clanmate's they've had he hadn't killed a Kit yet. So it was a step up. With a pause he nodded his head towards the entrance of the den, making sure the warrior knew it wasn't a request.

Lightningkit looked at him with no amusement. Really? Really? Is this how we were going to play things?"Yeah you are weird. Why are you so eager to hurt random people for nothing?" Lightningkit said flicking her eyes between the suckup kit and the annoying elder. At least pick someone important to suck up to.

Stars, there were so many grumpy cats in one place. How did he ever get stuck with a bunch of sticks-in-the-mud anyway? Oh well, as long as he got to hear another weird story he could handle a few clean-paws.

"Yeah sure that's what you were doing. What a weak excuse" Lightningkit scoffed. Maybe she made a mistake coming here, sure she wanted to learn about the history of the clan but maybe she should just ask someone else. Everyone here, but the warrior told to leave, was annoying. Hopefully the rest of her clan wasn't like this at all.

Leavin' the den was beginnin' to look unfeasible. A light dusting of snow warned of the comin Leaf-bare, and Goatscrunch ain't abouta get caught dead 'cause he froze a lil.
Oh, no siree. He ain't vibing with that thought nonesoever, and with an irked survey from the mouth of his den he decided to use this psuedo-den arrest to his advantage. "Kids, git in 'ere for a story!" His bleat was as loud as possible - though far from the loudest thing ever. His voice was hoarse and did not lift throughout the clearing, so simply not hearing him would be fair game. "'N brin' some moss 'n the like, first kid with the softest 'n warmest beddin' getsta avoid a cuffin'!" See, he could reward good behavior! And enlist the children to be his minions, all in one swipe.
