Soulkit hesitated, his dull hues narrowing slightly at the other's words, and thought for a moment. “Soulkit. I'm from TwolegPlace,” he answered flatly, though he remained slightly suspicious of the other tom. Just because he didn't know the cat, and refused to ignore his mother's teachings. Of how dangerous other cats were, even the friendly ones will eventually stab him in the back. Soulkit blinked, trying to remember what Pinewish and told him about kittypets, then shook his head. “Aggressive? And I'm not a kittypet. I just lived in TwolegPlace, but not with two legs,” he said, wrinkling his nose at the idea, his short fur fluffing up very slightly, both in disgust at the idea, and because he was cold. He had really short, thin fur, and got cold quite easily, especially since it wasn't warm out. Far from it.

Soulkit shrugged absently, staring at the other uncertainly. He wasn't really sure what to think, but he didn't much like how the other seemed to be able to read him like that. It wasn't good. “I have to reason to trust anyone,” he pointed out, then stiffened slightly. “Bristol, why?” he asked bluntly, looking at Reedkit through narrowed eyes, even more wary of him than before.

Soulkit's eyes widened very slightly, but he otherwise gave away no sign that the name had any significance to him. Raising one paw, he flexed his claws slightly, staring at nothing in particular for a moment. “Pinewish.... She is taking care of me, too,” he stated carefully, turning his head to look down at the other tom again. Slowly, he set his back back down, though his claws were unsheathed and gripping into the moss below him, but he didn't even realize he was doing it.

He was shocked, and watched Soulkit,” Wow. So I guess we’re adoptive brothers. Is umm...everything okay.” He meowed blinking at how he was clawing at the moss. He couldn’t tell he he was about to attack him or not, Soulkit was rather interesting.

Soulkit's tail tip twitched to and fro, and he shook his head to clear his thoughts. “Oh. I hadn't even thought of that. Does that make you my friend, too?” he asked him, remembering what Pinewish had told him about friends when he'd asked her what friends are. He still didn't understand how that worked really, but didn't question it. There seemed to be a lot that Bristol had never taught him, and he wondered why. She'd taught him a lot, but only what was necessary to stay alive. If she were here now, she'd definitely disapprove of how he was acting right now. “Hmmm? Yeah.”

When her friend didn't wake up at first, she began to get very, very worried. She shook her again and again until, finally, Nightpaw came up gasping for air. "Great StarClan!" Snowpaw gasped. The feline was shaking and crying. Little tears dripped down her muzzle. "Are you okay?" She nuzzled her friend, scooting closer to warm her. Truly, Snowpaw had no idea what the dream was about, but she had always thought of her friend not afraid of anything. That's what got her so worried.

Nightpaw couldn't manage to bring herself to say yes and lie to Snowpaw, so instead, she just nodded as she caught her breath. "I'm sorry I woke you," she said quietly, her head hanging as the fear in her eyes faded and was replaced by shame.

Rolling over in her nest with a groan of exasperation, Vixenpaw lifted her head to look at the pair of apprentices making all the racket. "Would you keep it down?" she meowed, her eyes half-lidded as she glared at them. "Some cats are trying to sleep here."
