"Duskpaw got away with everything! He's gonna be a warrior soon! Apparently you fawned over him everyday! So why don't we disown Brookkit and give him away?!" Dawnkit stamped her forepaws, rearing back on her hind legs everytime she spoke the last word of the sentence. "Why can't you and Mom and understand that I don't want my brother! Ever!" Her tiny, short tail lashed and her eyes were full of hatred, and maybe envy was hiding behind them, for her brother.

A small kit sat in the nursery, his ears pinned back and eyes darting around nervously. His whiskers - which were much shorter than the others - twitched as he got to his paws and swallowed dryly. The nursery felt cramped and he was surrounded by eager and playful kits. Calm down, Palekit, it's not like they'll hurt you.. he thought. Palekit shivered, though it wasn't cold, and took a slow, hesitant step. Now, all he had to do was make sure no-one approached him. Simple.

"Duskpaw?" He asked, who was that, he sure didn't remember a Duskpaw. "We can't give your brother away, because we love him, he's a sweet little tom, but you just make it worse everytime, he loves you too, but you just don't return the feelings." Alderstripe said and licked her face, it was kind of funny seeing her mad like that.

Dawnkit just let her face morph into a scowl. Did he not understand?!

He just rolled his eyes. "Can you act like someone your age, Dawnkit, take example on your brother?" Alderstripe asked.

"I understand that, I wont make you talk if you dont want to." the last thing he wanted to do was make Stormwing not trust him, or force her to do anything she didnt want to. He could relate in all honesty, not really having the best life growing up. Either it was for his size or for him not feeling comfortable with his birth gender, it was a struggle even to this day. Now a days he knew which cats to trust and which to not, perhaps Stormwing was still trying to figure that out. he wouldnt rush anything, infact he had just met the molly. He had no right to force her to speak if she didnt want to.

"No, because I want to at least become something than just floating around my mate everyday!" She accused him, trying to use anger as a method of defense to hide her sadness.

Nettlepaw nodded in agreement with her usual friendly smile. "I believe every warrior still has an apprentice feeling inside themself. Some warriors still act like kits most of the time." chuckled Nettlepaw.

I like my mentor. She'll teach me all I need to know!

The young Molly quickly licked her paw, before noticing that her mentor had just asked her something about the hunting training. "I'm not hungry right now. Let's go! I'll eat something after we're done hunting." replied Nettlepaw.

I won't get hungry while we train. I usually don't until everyone else gets food.

Perhaps from hearing about it from another of some sort? Or are you completely new to the whole skill?” She asked, looking back at Nettlepaw without stopping, her paws quietly brushing over the loose dirt underneath as she walked.

"All I can say is that I know very little of hunting. I don't ever talk to the elders. Not even when I was a kit. They have never interested me." meowed Nettlepaw, following Autumnleaf. The young Molly looked at her mentor with a flick of her tail.

Hunting should be easy. My mother and father do it all the time, so it should be very easy to me.

Nettlepaw scratched her ear quickly, trying not to draw any attention towards herself, but she knew that nobody except Autumnleaf would see her.
