Moving through the forest at a secure, constant pace, the tall RiverClan leader led his clanmates down the familiar path that would bring them to the beach where the Seastones awaited them. A steady rainfall poured onto Pikestar’s head and back, dripping through the leaves of the trees overhead. The ground beneath his large paws squished and sloshed through mud and shallow puddles that had collected together since the storm had begun. Of course, they just had to have a storm during the one night that the clans have their Gathering. What amazing luck, huh? The oriental tomcat couldn’t help but huff with annoyance at the fact, though he supposed rain was better than snow and ice—not by very much though, mind you. Pikestar shook his pelt, scattering raindrops in every direction before continuing onward, stepping over the line that divided the forest from the beach. They were the first ones here tonight.

"Remember RiverClan, be on your best behavior tonight." He would yell back to the group behind him, his bushy tail swishing back and forth as he walked to the collection of stones closer to the ocean's edge. The feeling of the wet sand between his toes made Pikestar visibly wince, an uncomfortable shudder running along his spine. Gross. Glancing quickly behind him, the one-eyed RiverClan leader gave a nod to both Gingerfrost, his deputy, and Fawnlight, his medicine cat, before quickening his pace to get a somewhat running start to leap up onto the top of the Seastones in a quick session. What Pikestar didn't account for was how slick the rain would cause the smooth rocks to become. Jumping up using a few apparent ledges, the oriental longhair quickly made it to the top. However, the dark-furred tomcat's four paws quickly slid across the wet stone surface. All that could be heard was a startled honk as he took a not-so-graceful tumble off the Seastones, landing on the soggy sand below with a rough thud that knocked the breath out of the poor RiverClan leader.

Groaning in pain, Pikestar lifted himself up into a standing position, his stomach and chest fur covered in wet sand that clung to his long fur. He shook his head, hissing irritably under his breath as he lifted his partial gaze to look from the area where he fell from. What a perfect start to this Gathering... He thought shaking as much sand from his body as he could before Pikestar made his way back up to the top of the Seastones. This time the oriental was careful to where he put his paws and made sure to not rush. Once he was finally where he was supposed to be, the tall clan leader sat down and wrapped his tail around his front legs as his ears flattened against his head. Stupid rain. Stupid seastones. Stupid Gathering. He repeated his over and over again while the heat of embarrassment took over his whole body, making his skin prickle with uneasiness. Rain continued to pour onto his head, showing little to no sign of stopping. At least there were no other leaders present that witnessed such a display.

Smokepaw sighed. UGHHHHHHHH she thought as her fur got wet and her toes had sand in between them. She followed behind Pikestar, she didn’t want to miss out on a gathering.

Fawnlight
Paw steps light at the ground transitioned from marshy swampland to damp sand, Fawnlight kept up a steady pace behind Pikestar and Gingerfrost. Rain fell steadily overhead, but the fluffy medicine cat found that she didn't mind it all too much. Blue eyes gleamed under the light of the full moon as Seastones came into view, her jaws still clamped around a once-springy orange leaf. Her ears twitched at the call of her brother, hoping that her Clanmates would heed his words. They didn't need any fiascos tonight, especially with the rainstorm that raged overhead.

Catching her brothers eye the dappled she-cat split off from him once they neared the stones to take a seat where the medicine cats usually gathered. Shoulders rolled back as Fawnlight took a seat and set down her leaf, lifting her gaze up to Pikestar to watch as he took his spot. It was a good thing she did - as just moments later she watched him tumble back onto the sand. Eyes widened in shock and she got to her paws in an instant to help - when she saw that the leader didn't appear hurt. Concern soon melted into amusement and her whiskers twitched slightly as she bit back a chuckle. Instead, the medicine cat attempted to catch Pikestar's eye with a knowing gleam in it before settling down once more.

They were the first ones here which meant none of the other medicine cats had arrived yet. She was curious to see how they were all faring this leaf-bare, but more so that she finally felt comfortable around them and apart of the group. Her thoughts also drifted to Cowpaw, hoping that the medicine cat was doing well. He was the one she felt the closest to admittedly, ever since the first Starcave meeting she had attended. There, he had given her a present; a leaf of sorts. Fawnlight intended to repay the gesture with her little gift tonight.

For now it would just be a waiting game until the other Clans arrived.

ColdPaw looked around. It was only Riverclan her now so he just sat there. He doesn’t talk to his fellow apprentices or really anyone. He never liked socializing in general.

LilyLeaf walked into the gathering and smiled. Her leg felt much better than it had a couple of weeks ago. Though it was still sore she was careful to not put much pressure on it.

GoldenPaw walked into the gathering and sat. He didn’t remember much from last gathering his head was not pulling anything up but whatever. He sat alone and isolated. He was ok with it though. He liked the quiet.

She went to her respective place at the gathering, her own spot and nodded at Pikestar's words. Soon enough a thump was heard. She rushed over from her usual sitting spot, looking down at him. "How damn slippery is that rock..?" She muttered. But she quickly noticed that the guy wasn't even hurt. She bapped him gently. "Dude! You scared me!" She groaned in embarrassment, shaking her head as he went back up the rock. " Be careful, dummy." She said in a sister-ingly tone.

Nightpaw blinkee. Its been a bit since she been here. Nightpaw finds a nice spot to sit. And just watch. Suddenly she just watches pikestar slid’s down the seastone and jolts up with full of worry. She gets up and just slowly gets close to the seastones then stops “Is he Alright? Is PikeStar Okay?!?!” She asked in concern. We didnt need anyone hurt at the gathering. Especially the leader

Fogcloud quickly followed the others of Riverclan, making sure that everyone was being careful and also not acting out. Their large body looked even larger to keep out the chill that seemed to settle in the Seastone area. Though they winced when Pikestar fell, luckily the sand helped soften the landing but he would probably be sore tomorrow.


Cicadapaw quickly followed the leader, ears perked as the listened to everything around them. While it was only Riverclan at the moment they were nervous but they wanted to try and get this whole gathering thing done. They would just hope that somecat would be nice enough to "talk" to her tonight, talking on their end and signing on her end.

➣ Pushing against the chilling winds and harsh rainstorm, the large black-and-white apprentice managed to arrive at the familiar beach with the rest of RiverClan. The stars seemed far from on their side tonight, given the current weather forecast, but then again: when were his ancestors ever merciful? A low voice in the back of his head even questioned why Cloudpaw was here right now. He hated gatherings, always had, since the very first one he went to as a small child. And yet here he was amongst his own clanmates in the bitter cold. The curly-furred tomcat knew very well why he was present though. His light blue-hued eyes had no trouble finding the beautiful molly known as Fawnlight─his best friend─from the medicine cat’s perch on the Seastones.

This was her first gathering as a full medicine cat, so obviously he had to come here for support and consolation if she ever happened to need it. He didn’t tell her that he was going to be here tonight, so Cloudpaw was already setting himself up for a bad time. He had no friends other than her and he made no real attempt to change that. The white-and-black tomcat was lucky enough to still have her as a close friend, considering their vastly different social circles and responsibilities. It was a miracle that she was still alive after being missing for a full moon too, so he was probably the last thing on her mind.

Tucking himself away in the corner of the crowd, Cloudpaw sat down and curled his tail around himself, shuddering against the rain. Maybe he should’ve stayed back at camp. He could have spent the time catching up on his battle moves, or guarding the camp itself. But no, the RiverClan apprentice let his selfish wants get the better of him yet again. Fawnlight was a busy cat, with a high status, so Cloudpaw wanted to be able to see her as much as he could. Some would call it foolish, others might even label it as obsession, but that wasn’t the case… was it? He shook his head, tearing his fixed gaze away from the Seastones and staring down at his paws. Perhaps he was nothing more than a stupid boy with a crush for a girl that was way out of his league. Dumbass. Hopefully, all the clans would be eager to get back home and out of this storm, making this gathering a quick one. He could only hope.

Nightspark followed Pikestar and the others and sat, he brutally got up when Pikestar fell, he approached and asked "Pikestar! Everything alright?" he asked, very worried, -What happened?- he'd asked himself, never his leader was in difficulty like this, he prayed Starclan to protect his leader... @canineantics
