I probably won't mention the bulk again
unless Goat gets cranky with a lack of attendance!

Leavin' the den was beginnin' to look unfeasible. A light dusting of snow warned of the comin Leaf-bare, and Goatscrunch ain't abouta get caught dead 'cause he froze a lil.

Oh, no siree. He ain't vibing with that thought nonesoever, and with an irked survey from the mouth of his den he decided to use this psuedo-den arrest to his advantage. "Kids, git in 'ere for a story!" His bleat was as loud as possible - though far from the loudest thing ever. His voice was hoarse and did not lift throughout the clearing, so simply not hearing him would be fair game. "'N brin' some moss 'n the like, first kid with the softest 'n warmest beddin' getsta avoid a cuffin'!" See, he could reward good behavior! And enlist the children to be his minions, all in one swipe.

Take that, Bonehead.

Dragonflycliff heard him talking about moss? She wasn't about to let those kits get hurt because they didn't bring Goatscrunch MOSS. " Goatscrunch, you aren't going to actually hurt those kits, are you?" she asked with a hint of anger. Very small one but it was there.

Goatscrunch wrinkled his nose distastefully at Dragonflycliff. "Ain't nothin' bad ever come from no smacks, 'n ya know it." Kids these days, so damn sensitive! It weren't 'is problem they were raisin' cats to be tansies.

She sighed, and was ready to break up some kit vs Goatscrunch fights. "Whole point of learning to be a warrior by being an apprentice, not a kit, is to learn to be tough. Leave the poor kits alone." she meowed, slightly angrier. Hard to catch onto, still.

"Whole point of bein' a Clan cat is to not be a kittypet. Git over yerself lady. Buck up or get lost." Goatscruch snorted, tail flicking irritably. She was only proving his belief ThunderClan cats had no guts, as she apparently couldn't handle no baby cuffin'.

Maybe he'd do it solely out of spite now, instead of just if they were misbehavin'.

"I'll do that if you start making sense, Goatscrunch. Kits don't need to be hurt just because 'the whole point of being a Clan cat is not to be a kittypet'. As I said, they'll learn when they've become apprentices." she mewed, actually pretty annoyed now.

"Only one ain't makin' no sense 'ere is you!" Goatscrunch spat toward her paws. He was gettin' sick of warriors tellin' him what is, what isn't. They ain't the ones livin' for generations, that was HIM. He was Elder, they were dumbies. "Comin' in 'ere all haughty when ya worship yellow-bellied slimeballs. Shut yer yap." If her intent was to make him less likely to cuff a baby, her attempts were taken sorely - now he definitely would cuff a baby as he saw fit. "I ain't give no damn if they an apprentice or not, I cuff 'em as I want 'n you can git out if ya don't like that."

Lightningkit watched the two argue and she grew displeased by this. Who was this old fart talking to like that? She was certainly glad she didn't bring any moss. Where was she supposed to get moss anyways? Steal it from the nests? Get in trouble in the nursery? Yeah, no. Maybe this elder needed to learn to be respectful instead. She then cleared her voice to get their attention. "AHEM. Stories?"
