{ Sorry guys, been a little sick lately, even though I could've sworn I was going to be ill free this year! So I wasn't able to be active this week, but slowly my body is starting to fight back and winning the war. Yay. Riskflight will drop for now but could jump in while strolling through the territory for no good reason or stay at camp if anyone is open.}

Softstep leaped from the shadows, throwing her weight into the fox in order to distract the animal long enough for Iridescent to get away from it to a safer area. She dodged the fox's jaws and swiped at it's ears, dodging back and forth easily- but her lungs were beginning to hurt from all of the running, and soon she wouldn't be able to dodge the animal. "Thrushstar, can you distract the fox long enough for me to get onto it's back?" She called over her shoulder, barely managing to get out of the way before it's jaws snapped right where her neck had been.

"What do I get to do?!" Fawnpaw demanded, gaze filled with annoyance. She was strong enough to take a stupid fox! Her ears were pinned back and her claws were itching to sink into the predator, her pupils slits as she glared from the background. She wanted to be useful! She might be small but so was the fox...kind of.

As they neared the sight of the cat, the stench of blood and fox was rapidly becoming stronger. Thrushstar could make out droplets of crimson on the ground, staining blades of disturbed grass, and the fragments of torn fur that littered the forest floor. The leader didn't hesitate. Immediately lunging forward when the fox came into view, he darted beneath the fox and slashed upward at its exposed underside.

The canine snapped down at the tom, distracted from its victim by these new contenders. With it's attention stolen, Thrushstar called out to Fawnpaw. "See if you can help her back to camp!" The injured loner would need medical assistance, even if she decided she didn't want to remain with the Clan. He couldn't tell how severe her injuries were, but the longer they waited, the higher the chance she wouldn't survive the blood-loss. Instinctively, he cringed back when the fox snapped at him again, teeth tearing into his fur, and he lashed out at the beast's muzzle.

Once Thrushstar had the beasts attention, Softstep launched up and onto the fox's back, barely able to hold onto the canine as it snapped and lunged at Thrushstar. Sinking her claws into it's back to keep herself steady, she began to inch up towards its head, kicking her back leg at it's muzzle when it turned to snap at her. Finally making it up high enough that she could do what she needed, she took one paw, unsheathed her claws, and scratched furiously at the fox's eye.

Fawnpaw nodded, walking over to the loner. "You need to come with me, you're wounds will be treated." She mewed, next to the she-cat, hoping she hurried while the others battled the fox. She stood close, if the she-cat needed to lean on her she could. She began to walk slowly, though her pace sped up the further they got.

Riskflight purred in the warmth of the sun, as she was sitting motionless with her eyes shut. She wanted lay down, sprawl herself on the ground to the wonderful heat that came from the bright orb, but hesitated to do so. Her ears twitched and flipped around to hear someone, oh great. Lifting her eyes lids she stared behind her shoulder to spot Ebonypaw exiting the apprentices den. Tail flicking in annoyance, she stood and faced the dark coated trainee. Padding towards her, she meowed in greeting. Riskflight must keep her reputation up in the clan, but didn't like the stress of it. It wasn't like the risky cat was lazy, just tired and groggy during certain types of mornings like this one in particular. "Good morning, Ebonypaw."

Iridescent felt a sweep of relief as she saw the other cats arrive. She watched as they worked together, admiring there skill in battle, despite her painful injuries. She watched as the tom gave an order to a smaller she-cat. Her gaze followed her as she hurried over to Iridescent.

You need to come with me, you're wounds will be treated. Iridescent looked up at the other female and gave a nod. She grunted as she struggled to her paws. Her muscles screamed in protest, but the female pushed away the pain. Why were these cats helping her in the first place? She hadn't recognized them, but would appreciate it, none the less.

She noticed how the apprentice stood close to her, and realized she was silently offering a shoulder to lean on. Iridescent' pride kicked in. She pointedly ignored it and began to limp beside her, slowly falling behind by a couple steps as her pace quickened. What's the hurry?! She grumbled in her head. Couldn't she move a little slower? No way was she complaining out loud, though she did hope that they arrived, wherever they were going, soon.

Robinwing shook his head. He was getting off topic. The tom turned his attention back on the younger feline.

The white feline averted his eyes and flattened his ears, unease flickered across his face before it was replaced with seriousness once more "Experience." he stated. The feline didn't want to get into it, and he didn't want to linger on it, deciding that it was best to change the subject all together. "Most would, and no, it's not up to Thrushstar to choose your fate, it doesn't care about anyone's plans, it makes its own decisions." he stated "If Thrushstar appointed you deputy, then it was your fate that allowed him to do so, if, on the other paw,another was appointed deputy than fate doesn't like you." he added, his tail flicking. Whitepaw didn't believe in Starclan, he didn't believe his ancestors were watching over him, he just believed that fate had taken a liking to him for a small whole and decided that it would be best if he lived, not that he wanted to though.
