Taboo padded through the twolegplace, eyes cast downward. It had been two moons since their parents had abandoned them. They tried to remember how old they were. Five? Six moons, perhaps? Yes, that was it. The mute tabby sighed, padding slowly past an alleyway that smelled of... cat?

Taboo looked up from the ground to see that their way out was blocked. Their stubbed tail flicked, and their small curved ears pinned. They slowly turned their head to search for who- or what- had done it.
