Cricketleap burst through the camp entrance. “Help! It’s Lilypaw!” He raced to the Medicine den just as Pebblesmoke poked his head out.
“What’s wrong? I smell blood on your fur.”
“Lilypaw!” Cricketleap gasped out. “She fell—into the thorn patch!”

Blood? He jumped to his feet and ran out the den. Lilypaw was hurt? He ran out of camp on search of Lilypaw.

“Rainpaw wait!” Littlewhisker started after him, glancing back at Pebblesmoke before racing after her apprentice. “That got you up!” She called ahead to him.

Pebblesmoke trotted briskly after them with his herbs, his legs not what they used to be.
