Crowhawk sighed. He had caught two mice, it was good enough for him. He smiled and nodded at his friend's praise. It made him feel good. "I think I'm-" He stopped when he heard a splash. Another frog. He was about to go for it until Blackfrost said it was hers. He didn't think she would, but then she jumped in the water, which surprised him. He watched as she dove her head in the water and came back out with a frog in her jaws. He walked to her as she got out. "Nice catch." He purred. He then looked at the pond. "There's one more frog right there." He pointed in the water. He wasn't telling the truth, it was just some weeds in the water, but he needed to get her close.

She seemed to blush at his praise, making her smile and feel hot under her fur. The she-cat dipped her head as a silent thanks as she tossed the second frog onto land, hearing him say something about another frog. Blackfrost looked over at him with a raised eyebrow, seeing his paw point to a specific spot. “Lazy bee-brain.” She muttered, wading through the pond over to the weeds, “Why couldn’t you get it or something? I can’t see it..” The warrior pawed through the pebbles and leaves that resided in the water, but she couldn’t find any source.

Blackfrost rolled her eyes at his comment and could see him moving over to her, perhaps finally deciding to help her out with this stupid hunting. However, she was quickly betrayed when Crowhawk abruptly pushed her over and the dark-furred female went into the water with a splash, the distant sound of his laugher as she scrambled to her paws. “Not so fast!” She hissed and quickly dashed over to him, grabbing the tom-cat and pulling him into the water with her, “Get a taste of your own medicine!”

He stopped a little bit before land and just couldn't stop laughing. When he saw her come after him he turned and tried to get away, but he knew he would get what was coming. He screamed in surprise when felt himself go under. Now he was laughing underwater. He quickly broke his head above the surface. "My medicine is fun!" He said, clearly enjoying himself.

Daypaw slipped out of the camp entrance with the warrior at their side. They didnt know their warrior, but they werent one to deny socialization. They walked silently, amber eyes gazing around for herbs. Now that it was greenleaf, weather was warmer, plants were growing. While they didnt know to much, they knew the basics as of now over time and needed a restock. Their nightmares lingered in their mind, their walking quick and fast under the dark looming pine trees. They hated being out here, which is why they required an escort when going. They didnt know what was out here. They didnt know if their nightmares would ever come true. It was a kit like thought, monsters in the corners of the nursery in the dark, but they couldnt help it. They took a glance at the other warrior, giving a small nod and looking back forward. It wasnt much, but it was their way of saying thank you.

Sootfur enjoyed being outside of camp even if the air was humid from recent rain-and by the gazing up between the pine trees at the thick clouds above it seemed more was to come. Still, he was happy. Rainfall just means growing plants, right? He also thought it was such an honor to be an escort to the new medicine cat. They didn't seem to be fully knowledgable in herbs yet but the tom was sure that the young feline would learn quickly with the other medicine cats to help them. Sootfur had always been interested in herbs-mostly because of their delightful scent-and the way those cats were special enough to be able to speak to their starry ancestors. He never really felt special. He was just an aging tom with an occasional limp. Maybe I could talk to Daypaw about it? ...No, I don't believe they have enough experience yet. Sooner or later he'd be retired in the elders den but he decided not to think about that now, it wasn't important, what was important was keeping Daypaw safe. Sootfur noticed their subtle nod of thanks and he returned with a friendly smile. It's my pleasure really! He continued to glance around making sure there was no danger around them and all the while keeping the peaceful silence. He decided to wait for small talk.

Blackfrost huffed and rolled her eyes as all he did was laugh at her demise, no matter with her own payback. She stood over him, looking down at the tom-cat before her, still chuckling like an idiot because he seemed to find this hilarious. “So, I’m guessing that this was part two of your little plan from before?” The warrior remarked, raising an eyebrow at him, “You’re such a foxheart.” The dark-furred pawed his face gently before getting off of him and wading to land, shaking her fur almost completely dry.

Blackfrost couldn’t hide the smirk that slipped onto her muzzle at his calling words for her to wait for him as she walked back to camp, the two limp frogs hanging in her jaws. When he joined her side, the she-cat noticed how soaked with water his fur was and that made her snicker with amusement, but she said nothing about it. The forest was quiet and calming at the moment, with the occasional bird flying from a tree branch, which made her ears twitch now and then to the sound.
